I have had the majority of my work done by Kristin at Maddock Ink. I have also taken many friends in to her because they love the pieces she did for me so much and want their own. I am not picky about WHAT I get tattooed, but I am very indecisive, and Kristin is always amazing at coming up with fun/cool ideas and designs for me when I have trouble deciding what I want. I am also a perfectionist and have had cover ups done by Kristin to cover pieces (by other artists) that weren't up to my standards. I have been so impressed by every tattoo she has designed and tattooed on me and my friends and loved ones. I have never had any work done by Alex, but friends of mine have and they can't get enough. One browse through either artist's portfolio or Instagram will show you quality work that is leagues beyond that of most other artists North of the GTA. I have heard the odd complaint from others about long wait times, but you have to appreciate that they are so long because the artists are so talented and booked solid. They understand that their wait times can be frustrating and they do their best to fit people in on cancellations and sometimes even on their days off. The shop itself is clean, cozy and cool. Lots of interesting art on the walls, but not overdone or "loud". It is un-intimidating to tattoo newbies and a comfortable place to sit for 4+ hours. It is also easily accessible in it's prime location right in Bracebridge's downtown business/shopping area. This is a fantastic shop you wouldn't expect to find in a small fairly rural town. As long as these artists want to stay here, they will have my business and many others'.

AMAZING work! There is a lot of attention to detail in all the pieces I have received from the studio. I have 10 year tattoos that still look new. Very clean, very organized and very much going back for more work.

I had my tattoo done here and thought everything was going well until the person tattooing me didn't really seem to know what they were doing. About a week after my tattoo I started to get an infection and went to the hospital and found out I had a skin virus which was peeling out my entire arm leaving a rash. I don't think the place is very clean looks run down and I would have to assume the needle she was using was dirty as I was given antibiotics for 3 weeks to help with the rash. I wouldn't recommend these guys at all if you care for your health.

Absolutely incredible tattoo shop, everyone who works there are very professional, talented, and extremely personable. I have had the opportunity to get multiple tattoos and they are so gorgeous, two of them being cover ups which the artists went above and beyond to do the best they could. I recommend Maddock ink 100%

Not a good tattoo shop. The owner hires tattoo artist that are just learning how to tattoo. The red head is very rude also and treats customers with no respect at all.

I don’t normally write reviews but I have to say this shop is amazing, the artistry and quality of work are top notch. I have a good portion of my body tattooed by Alex and am constantly having complements on his work. This tattoo shop is always immaculate, the artists set a very high standard and take the utmost pride in their work!I would highly recommend the shop to anybody looking to get tattooed!!

Outstanding people, outstanding artists. Fair pricing. I went to Kristen with nothing more than an overall general idea for a sleeve, and a very vague idea at that, not even pictures of anything just a general direction I'd like to go with the sleeve. A month later I went in for the first all daysitting.. super excited to see what she came up with and was not disappointed. Just incredible art, and was nice to see that Kristen was perhaps just as excited to do the tattoo as I was to get it. I've now had 3 full days in her chair and still have nothing but praise for this studio, and the people in it. Every time I go in for another sitting I am blown away by what she has come up with. Absolutely recommended. Keep it up guys. You've made a patron for life in my wife and I.

Clean, friendly and knowledgeable. Watched the sanitization process first hand. 5 stars deserved for clean and professional service. Great guys to have work done. Not only did i get the tattoo i wanted but went above and beyond to make sure i was satisfied with it.

Got a small piece done by Kristin. She was super patient when we were going through my design, and wanted to make sure it was perfect and I was 100% happy. She also really took her time placing the tattoo on my body and wasn’t upset at all when I wanted to centre it differently or shift the piece down. She was honest and wasn’t afraid to tell me if something wouldn’t translate well as a tattoo. Kristin was also super fast. The entire piece took less than 15 minutes and the detail was incredible. I will definitely be returning to Kristin for more. Alex was really nice too! Very low key, relaxing environment, nothing like the huge Toronto shops. 10/10 would recommend. Edit: I also want to say that I appreciate the attention to detail on such a small piece, as many artists will brush off small pieces and take them less seriously. I felt that the care put into my mini pine trees would have been equal to the care put into a larger piece
