Nice courtyard out back for family visit. Staff were pleasant and facilities clean. Had one order of Jerk pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries and 2 tins of ice tea for 31$. Portions were very small, pork was overly spiced but Sw Po Fries were nicely done. If the portions had been about 1/3 more I don't think I would have minded the price paid.

I don’t normally post reviews but I felt that I needed to. Went there and ordered Two large fries & two large poutines. The food portions were good for the poutines although the large fries were significantly smaller to the point I was wondering if they accidentally gave me small sizes. The total cost was 55$ which is very expensive but normally that would be okay if the food is good which it was but my main issue was they literally only layered gravy & cheese on the top row of fries and once you get through the top it’s literally plain tasting fries with zero gravy or cheese curds. Out of all the chips truck I’ve ever went to I’ve never experienced that before and it’s so dissatisfying especially with the sheer amount of money it cost to eat here. Again I don’t write reviews because I don’t like hurting small businesses but They’re literally overcharging customers for what they get I hope they take this feed back into account and improve on that because as it stands this food is definitely not worth it.

What a sweet place to stop! Great gift shop, lots of ice cream flavours and that wonderful fairy garden! Our children enjoyed the outdoor games and exploring each secret fairy door. I remember coming here as a child when it was a bus fish and chips place. Still has lots of charm. Will be back again

Pros: Very clean. Very friendly. Lots of selection of ice cream. Layout is great. Awesome place for kids because you can spread out in the garden behind the store. Cons: Very expensive. Food is decent but significantly overpriced. We are a family of 4. 4 meals and ice creams ran us about $80 and we skipped the drinks. Also, be prepared to wait. I'd recommend some combo options to reduce the price.

Con: burger... "decadent" is the wrong choice of word. It's cold and bland. Note: hotdogs are similar to Kirkland. To me it's a pro but others it's a con Pro: everything else? Beyond meat burgers for vegetarian, paper straws, wooden pokers for fries. Very eco friendly. French's ketchup and Kawartha ice cream makes it support locally sourced goods. Friendly staff and gorgeous property. Enjoy an icecream while exploring the fairy houses and statues all over the back of the store. My favorite stop on my way to my moms. Bathroom is clean and well maintained. Highly recommend as a stop for ant road trip you're passing by!

We love stopping here on the way home from the cottage. The fries are delicious but they do take a while. With covid, they added an ice cream window which is convenient but they no longer carry all Kawartha Dairy flavours

What a cute little gem! Stumbled upon this place while driving up to a friend's cottage. Ordered some food, which took a little time to cook. My family and I played in the sandbox, pilinko, and frisbee tic tac toe. The kids had soooo much fun. There was also a bunch of tables for people to eat out back When our food was ready, we were really surprised at how good it was! Like really really good. Good food always takes a little bit longer. We'll have to come back for the ice cream as we were stuffed from all the yummy food we ate. Thanks!

The prices are way too high for mediocre food in small portions. The oil the french fries are cooked in give it an odd flavour and ours were too overcooked for our liking. Sad to say we won't be back as we could go to a nice restaurant and be served and waited on at those prices!

Kawartha Lakes ice cream is the very best! And this location offers more than just ice cream. Cheese and some other food items available. As well, a charming " fairies" setup that will entertain the younger set while their parents browse the other items. Pleasant picnic-type setup under lovely trees. Pleasant and helpful staff inside too. Do try it.
