I had Maddy do my piercing. They are very professional and when I had questions, they were very honest and upfront about what it would feel like. Because of the private nature of getting a VCH piercing, I was encouraged to see that there was a lot of privacy regarding this particular piercing. I also really was pleased with the cleaning procedures; seeing the sterilization strip showing that the tools were cleaned was good to see. I haven’t seen other piercing establishments do this & show their customers that the tools are actually cleaned. Maddy is lovely and I would recommended them to anyone!

When I booked the appointment I did so over the phone, the lady helping me was very nice and I immediately felt like a valued customer. When I arrived all of the staff was pleasant and happy to see that I had a safe trip from where I was travelling from! The piercing itself (septum) went pretty well, everything was very clean and the guy who did the piercing made sure to take his time to explain everything he was doing and why. I was even given a complimentary juice box before the piercing, which I found really nice. It was a calm, relaxing and also professional environment. I love the vibe of the shop. The staff took the time to even explain after care, and they gave me copies of all the paperwork to bring home with me. Overall amazing experience :) Will go back for future piercings, its worth the 3 hour drive it took to get there!

I lost the ball to one of my piercings last night. I panicked because it wasn't healed yet so I just put a rubber earring back on it. I came in here and they were able to give me a new ball and he didn't charge me anything for it!! I was so surprised and thankful! I have gotten pierced 10 times at Instinct and they have always gone above and beyond for me. The piercers are incredibly professional, but they strike a perfect balance and also make the experience fun and comfortable. I am also fairly untalented at getting my jewelry out, and I have had several MRIs recently which require that you wear no jewelry. The piercers have always been so helpful at removing the jewelry for me and they are so kind about the process. I truly love the atmosphere and the people who work here so, so much and I cannot recommend them enough. As a side, I have felt so comfortable coming here during COVID and they follow such strict measures to ensure the greatest possible level of safety for their customers.

As soon as I walked in the staff was very friendly! They make sure to tell you everything you need to know before they start, everything was very clean,and the process was quick and painless! Took my son for a septum piercing, was very confident with their knowledge and adherence to age policies, requesting the appropriate permissions and ID checks. The piercer was very experienced and put me and my son at ease and employed strict hygiene practices. The shop was very busy, yet we felt we had exactly the right amount of care and attention with all aftercare properly explained and encouraged to come back if we had any further questions or issues (which we did not- the piercing gave no trouble at all). A little on the expensive side, but the great service makes it all worth it, and you know they're doing it right. Tons of quality jewelry, and they make sure the process is completely sterile (and make an effort to let you know about it, too!). I have gotten one helix piercing and two lobe piercings here, and plan to come back and get more! I also had to remove said piercings for surgery, and they helped me get them back in easily for free! I recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a quality piercing job. It was about 90$ for a helix with a ring, and a little over a hundred for both my lobes.

I've had many piercings at this store and it's my first choice! The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly, they make sure you are aware of everything before and after getting your piercing and they only use the top quality jewelry. The store is clean and everything is extremely sanitized and they prove everything is cleaned before piercing you. I can't recommend this place enough. I have had my tongue, septum, and philtrum, and cartilage pierced. My friends have also had eyebrow, smiley, bellybutton and nostrils pierced. I lived out of town and would come to town specifically to get piercings here and recommended it too all my friends. They have all had amazing experiences here.

When my 4 year old expressed interest in getting her ears pierced, I made her wait MONTHS until we could get to Kamloops and have the professionals at Instinct Adornment take care of her. And honestly, I am so glad we waited. Every staff member we encountered was happy to be there, helpful and patient. Jenna and Theo took the time needed to explain everything to my child and to ensure she was happy and completely relaxed. And most importantly, they INCLUDED HER in the entire process. She was even asked to sign her paperwork. I had a negative experience when I had my septum pierced several years ago at Instinct. The owner of the company reached out to me on her own accord and not only offered a sincere apology but a full refund because I wasn’t fully satisfied with the service I received. She was incredibly kind, communicative and prompt with the refund and made everything right in my books! I originally chose this company to get my piercing done because I know that they have an excellent reputation, wonderful staff and their hygiene and sanitation protocols are stellar! When I had the piercing done, my piercer was very kind and apologetic when I experienced some issues during the process. He followed all protocol and was very communicative throughout the process. I can tell this business is run very well and I highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a safe, professional and friendly establishment to get a piercing done. On vacation, my jewellery fell out and Jenna was instantly reachable via facebook and helped me out as much as she could from several hours away, even giving me a referral to a shop a few hours away. I’ve gotten 4 piercings done here and they are great. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. The pericings are steral and great instructions are given for after care. If you were to go there I would recommend specifying on what piercer you want. There’s a guy named Ken there that is super nice but seems nervous or awkward when he’s peircing you. I had him once and he accidentally put in my earring in the wrong way so he had to take it out and put it back through the same hole he JUST pierced. Idk that’s just my personal experience .

Wow! Instinct knows how to do it right; the best piercing experience I've had by far. Everyone was super nice and welcoming, when I came in to discuss a septum piercing, they took their time to talk to me and patiently answer my questions. The piercing experience itself was very calming and supportive. I've gotten many piercings done in various places, and for the most part, I find many shops to have an "air" about them. Not here, the atmosphere and the people were magnificent, far exceeding my expectations. I don't normally write reviews unless I have been completely wowed about an experience, and Instinct Adornment deserves it!

Even when they're not open, Instinct still manages to offer the best customer service! I have been visiting Instinct since I was 16 for piercings. Last week, I ended up with some troubles with one of my studs in my nose. I sent a Facebook message for some at home remedies since I can't currently go into the shop. Not only was the response incredibly fast, they offered to mail me some product to help clear things up. AMAZING! Bought a pair of pants and a top w/spaghetti straps there, the owner is an older lady named Arwin who was very friendly; helping you with making a "purchase." So I splurged on myself, which I dont do often. Cost me about $160 for 2 items. Looked like good quality material & i liked the way the top hung on me. The problem came after the purchase. I washed my clothing according to the tag instructions (machine wash) so the top was used once, washed once..1 of the spaghetti straps broke right in the middle. Looks like a clean break, with a little bit of fraying. I thought about sewing the strap but figured i paid close to $60 for it & used only 1 time i decided to bring it back & trade it in for the same. Brought the top in on Sept 12, was told I had to talk to the owner "Arwin" ..so I left the top..came back I think the next day. So the owner started off by explaining in many ways how it was impossible for the spaghetti strap to have broke the way it did, & she said she'll see if she could sew it. (Hmmm...i couldve sewed it but chose to bring it back), so after a little tug of war on my explanation on how i spent close to $160 on "2" items, i would prefer a new top...(I will hand wash the next top now by the way).. but she insisted on repeating her explanation on how there is no way that top could have tore like that as they (maybe they all gave it a try)all tried by pulling on the other strap & it would not break. I replied WELL I did not break it, it Did Break in the washer. After all the accusations of me having something to do with the broken strap, my guard is up. So I had to be firm in my demands of a new top, and now I'm NOT happy with the customer service I recieved..so, i Will be telling All my family and friends I have here (which are not many as I've just moved here from Alberta) how this owner at the store that sells products at ARWINS APPARREL all made locally supposedly from bamboo in vancouver (found out later, because she said she had no tops left, and had to be shipped from van) anyways she is all about sales...happy to sell to you but not very happy if u bring a product back. Now, i had to come back for a different top because she had to see if the torn top could be sewn, again I had to remind her I wanted a New top. Anyways she said she would call me...i waited for over a week and recieved a text from her salesperson on Sept. 22 with a picture of a Laced top she wanted to sell me b4 I bought the black top w/spaghetti straps, that said... Brown lace shrug for 49.95. I expected a phone call re: my new top, so I replied: "What about my black top. It's been over a week. I'll pass on the small sweater thing." Which she said my top was waiting for me in a bin for p/u (Which they did not phone to let me know). Of course I'm even more angry now & my reply showed it: "You told me youd call & ive been waiting over a week for this call????" and I was told: We would love for you to set up an appointment to pick up your tank. At this point I do Not want to see the owner, i really don't want to hear her argue about how they've tested it in many ways & could NOT break the goid strap, so I go down to pick up the top 2 days after I got the text (sick)..walk in & greeted nicely by a big guy with a beard...a younger woman saw me, grabbed a package in plastic threw it on the counter & Saud theres your top. Surprised by the way she threw the top towards me on to the counter I decide if better look at it... Now I wasn't wearing my glasses, so I took it out and the woman says it's a New top! As I'm leaving the big scruffy guy decides to say as im walking out how they've tried to break the strap but couldn't. This gave me opportunity, as they REALLY like having disagreements, to tell them ... you know I paid close to $160 for 2 items, i thought im paying for good quality material, which it obviously wasnt and I have to say the owner of the clothing end is all about sales and Not customer Service, so I'll be letting everyone I know about how I was treated over a crappy top. Very " DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER"

My girlfriend and I went downtown for lunch yesterday and decided to pop into Instinct to look around and kill some time beforehand. We both ended up falling in love with the products and bought several pieces of jewelry. As we were gearing up to leave, we spontaneously decided to get our flats (the top cartilage of our ears) pierced. The staff were nothing but friendly, encouraging and excited for us. The two girls at the front desk were professional, knowledgeable and patient, and Ken, our piercer was fantastic. I have got all but one of my several piercings done at Instinct and I really can't say enough positive things about all of my experiences. This is the place to go in Kamloops for any piercings and/or funky jewelry pieces! Thanks team for another awesome visit!

It may be a tad bit on the higher side price wise, but I would say totally worth it! I hope their after care is just as great!! Good luck guys!

I called ahead to let them know my daughter(7) has anxiety but wanted her ears pierced. They were great on the phone and let me know that they would take the time to walk her through everything. Also, that they don't charge for cancellations even if shes all prepped and decides last second she doesnt want to. They went above and beyond to make her feel at ease and were wonderful. She ended up deciding that she didnt want to do it today, so they let her keep the pretend jewellery they used to mark her ears and were very welcoming and understanding. "Her body, her choice" was the overall vibe. It was great! She left saying that she would like to do it next Saturday but she wants to wear her "practice" earrings for a bit first. I have had all my piercings done at Instinct and have always had great customer service plus have been happy with my results. I would highly recommend them to anyone ❤❤❤

When my daughter was 7 she had a horrendous experience getting her ears pierced at Claire's (their piercing gun jammed on her two times!). Poor little thing. Ended up having to let her ears settle down for six months. She decided to try again and I opted to go to Instinct Adornment based on a friend's recommendation. So glad we did. Now 8, my little ones was very scared and Theo was amazing with her. He gently guided her and went at her pace. She was delighted and had a pain free experience. Would give a higher rating of I could.

Really awesome experience. I got my nostril pierced here and the staff were so friendly from the moment i walked in to the moment i walked out. I wasnt entirely sure on where i wanted the placement to be but my piercer was sooo patient and sooo helpful in helping me make sure i get it in a spot that suits me the most. I would go bavk 100%. The only twist is that it was quite pricey... i just didnt go in there expecting it to cost over $100. But overall, great place to go get dazzled up!

This is one of the worst companies, I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. My husband had his ears pierced at Instincts Adornment inc. and one of the earrings felt loose WHILE he was still in the chair getting them done. He mentioned it to the person doing the piercing and she assured him it was completely fine. While getting into his truck the next day, the earring fell out into the mud and he couldn't find it. We notified them over the phone as soon as my husband came home and explained what had happened and they said to come in and get a new earring put in right away. I had expected to get the earring replaced for free, since we had mentioned that it felt loose the day before. That was not the case, we were charged, not only for another earring, but for the earring to be put back in his ear! I could not believe this and asked to speak to the owner. They told me he was out and from what I can guess, "pretended" to call him and then told me, he will do a refund, but I had to pay right then (when I asked what the reason was, she explained that she could not do a refund because she didn't know how to) and when he returned, he would then refund my money. Needless to say, the money was NEVER refunded and I had tried to call this company about this matter repeatedly, asking to speak to the owner, only to be told every time that he is out of the store or is on vacation. I have left my name and number a few times now and have never heard from the owner. I have never had a company act so unprofessional and not own up to their own employee's mistakes. In my opinion, save your money and go to a company that knows how to properly train their staff and treats their customers with respect. Just trying to save somebody else their money and the headache we have had in dealing with Instincts Adornment inc..

I had an awesome experience with Instinct Adornment. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the cleanliness of the studio. I had my piercing done by Shaena, and it was by far the best piercing experience I've had. She was clearly very knowledgeable and skilled. Very minimal pain and I thought her breathing technique was so useful. Yes, the prices are high, but I definitely wouldn't say it's overpriced. You're paying for high quality, after all, and I have had no problems or complications with my piercing.

Went in there and felt extremely welcome. So laid back and everyone is helping you out without making you feel overwhelmed. I will go back there for sure. The piercing itself was gentle and professional, and everything was clean clean clean! I work in the medical field and I was perfectly content with the cleanliness - no corners cut. All the staff were wonderfully helpful. I had a lip piercing that was about 6-7 months without having a ring in it, and instead of charging me to repierce it, my piercer was able to basically push a ring through it almost painlessly. She was wonderful. Thanks everyone!

I just recently moved to kamloops and needed a new piercing place to go because my industrial bar fell out on a camping trip and i needed to purchase a new one and get it put it. The one lady who was helping me told me it was going to be around $50 for both , the jewelry and application.(keep in mind i wasn't getting it pierced i just simply needed help putting in the bar. She said the jewelry was around $25 which meant i was going to be paying around $25 for the application , (when the sign in the store said it was only $10 to change your jewelry ) but i needed it done so i was willing to pay the $50 . Then she said i was next up in line to get the jewelry in and to just wait, so i did. I was standing there for around 10-15 minutes until a different worker came and asked if i had been helped and told me that the previous lady wasn't there, so she helped me instead. This worker was very sweet and helpful and the only good thing about my visit. I then went to the till to pay, where the first worker then randomly re appeared and waited for me to pay, even though she didn't help and left without telling anyone. Then i ended up paying $80 when she told me it would be $50 so i asked for a receipt because i was confused about the pricing, but the receipt didn't tell me the prices for anything. I had a horrible experience and feel like i got ripped off and it definitely wasn't worth my money. I will not be returning and hope to find a better studio for my future piercing needs.
