Had my first girl (2017) ear pierced at a well known shop at the mall, that did baby ear piercings but we had a terrible experience there. At Ritualistics, Noni explained the method she uses and gave me a very indept information session over the phone, on what to expect from stepping into the door and when we get home for after care. I had my nose ring out for half a year due to nasal surgery and she was able to reinsert it with zero issue, despite the fact that the surgery had shifted some of the skin/cartilage around. No re-puncture was needed and I was ecstatic! ???? second time here for piercing, will be back should I choose to add any more.

I came from out of town and never felt so comfortable in a shop before. I got both my nipples pierced 8 months ago and they are healing exactly as i was told they were going to. My piercer made sure I understood that it takes about a year to heal and no swimming Its a super clean shop, which was very important to me. They are all so knowable and made sure we knew what we were doing before we did it. I highly reccomend to locals or to anybody in Edmonton looking for piercings on the fly. A++++++++

I called to see if I can just buy earrings for my daughter (1).who already has her ears pierced but one fell out an hour prior to my call and I can't find it and the lady continuously cut me off. I couldn't contact who originally pierced her ears at 6 months old and I couldn't explain anything because the lady just kept cutting me off and was VERY RUDE on the phone. So, definitely wouldn't recommend and I didn't even step foot in there. I guess this "professional" place would rather a mom go buy a cheap earring that their infant can rip off than an infant safe earring. I literally just needed to be able to purchase it so I can avoid the hole from closing up. Rude rude rude rude.

My 9 year old had her ears pierced here. Everyone was very professional and followed covid health rules. They gave very good instructions om how to make sure her piercings healed properly and she is so happy with how they turned out! She was initially anxious about the piercing (because needle) but the piercer was very good at helping her stay calm, and she said it barely hurt at all.

I got my nose pierced here, and after a month of cleaning it with Ritualistics' instructions I saw a small bump over the stud. After contacting and visiting numerous times to get help to clear it, they didn't help and wanted nothing go do with me. When the bump was so big that it almost covered the stud, I went to another piercing shop for help. The piercer said it was the most crooked piercing she had ever seen, and that I would have to heal it and get it pierced again. I am very upset and disappointed.

Went in to repierce my nose today. I learned thst it was unlikely that it actually grew in. Noni educated me on the healing process of a piercing etc. Sure thing, it hadn't closed. She stretched it for me. She was very honest and personable. I would recommend this place for people who can handle the truth coming from someone who clearly knows her stuff. Also, Lauren has tattooed my wife and is working on completing her sleeve. She is incredtalented and accommodating. All three employees who I encountered today were great!

I tried to make a simple appointment to get my nose piercing jewelry changed and was unable to do so. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I tried multiple times to make an appointment and each time she either told me that she "had something to do on the computer, call back," or "I have to put you on hold," and never came back on the line. She was also nasty and short with me. When I called her back about changing my nose jewelry, as I had called 10 mins earlier and was told to call back, she replied "and, so?" I felt like my business was not wanted, which is a shame because I was hoping to have another piercing done as well, but I wanted to check out the shop before I scheduled it. I am extremely disappointed, as I just moved here and was expecting more from one of the top rated studios in the area. If your receptionist doesn't represent your quality of work, perhaps you should find a new one.

I went in for a piercing. The piercer(I think Noni) managed to fit me in on the same day I called, which I highly appreciated. She took her time carefully explaining how to clean and care for my piercings, as well as the risks associated with them. After finishing her preparations, I got my first body piercings done. It was not as painful as I expected, and her years of experience made placement as perfect as they could be. Great place. Friendly people. Highly recommended.

I wouldn't say Ritualistics is horrible; the staff is just very unreliable. I ordered an earring from them in April, I called several times worried because it was taking so long to come in. The staff asured me it was ordered and that it was Industrial Strengths fault for taking so long. I called one day (in September) to ask again and I was then informed that my earring had never been ordered. Noni was kind enough to refund me my $50 and to give me a free earring for my tragus. Unbelievable that the staff wouldnt notify me that the earring was never really ordered. Overall, I will never come back here and have told everyone I know about my horrible and completely unacceptable experience at Ritualistics. If you want a walk in peircing this is a great place, they just are not responsible or mature enough to own up to their mistakes.

I have been going to this shop for close to 8 years now for piercing and tattoos. Decided it is time to give the shop the review it deserves. Noni is an excellent and knowledgeable owner. My husband has had surface piercings done incorrectly in past at other shops, finally done correctly by Noni! She is amazing. I do not think people are aware of experience it requires to do these jobs correctly. Lauren baker is a fantastic artist! My husband and I love her art work! Her tattoing is so detailed and she really takes her time to do the artwork as it was envisioned to be done. Pricing is fair, store is clean. All staff are pleasant, prompt and knowledgeable as well. Highly recommend this spot.

I had heard that the daith piercing helps with migraines. I'm a daily sufferer and I've been through many tests with no results. This was a last resort try. I met Noni and she was incredible. She really took the time to educate me on cleanliness and how to care for my piercing. She made sure I understood all the problems that's could occur and how to presented them. She really understands the importance of customer service and I am excited to go back again :) thank you Noni Update: I was so busy shortly after this piercing that I didn't go for my downsize, totally my own fault, and my daith rejected and was being pushed out by my ear. I went in to see Noni today and she removed it and let me know that I'm able to get the piercing re done in a few weeks. Noni is just so knowledgeable and thoughtful with all her clients. I would definitely recommend going to see her of you need a piercing done :) just to be clear, the rejection was my fault, not a result of the piercer or placement.

I went to Ritualistics for the first time in about a decade today, so for me it was a new shop with new faces. I was tattooed by Lauren, and it was a quick flash piece for the Zoe's Animal Rescue Society fundraiser. The shop was clean as a whistle, the staff wonderful to talk to, and Lauren was a consummate professional as far as tattooing goes. I plan on more tattoos in 2019, and I think I will be going to Ritualistics for at least some of them. The photo I'm including is of the flash that Lauren did for me.

I got my septum pierced and though it was a pretty bad experience that's not what I'm most upset about. I specifically asked to have an open jewellery so that I can roll it in when I have an interview. It does not a and the only person that can adjust it is sick on the day I randomly get called in for an interview. The person that answered the phone said "best go somewhere else because no one there could help me" So after have my piercing botched and charging me full price now I have to dish out additional money so that I can be presentable for my interview.

What a wonderful experience! I got my very 1st microdermal fr Noni today. She was warm and welcoming and then proceeded to give all the information to the procedure. It was so thorough and truly impressive. I have googled all kinds of information out there and 95% of what Noni shared I did NOT find online. She ALSO, after giving me all the Info, gave me an opportunity to CHOOSE if I still wanted it after hearing everything!!! In all my piercing experience I never even thought this was possible and here at Ritualistics, it is provided. WOW. Just, WOW. The shop is clean, organized and Connie was super helpful (she is one rockin' grandma!). They have a ton of beautiful jewelry to choose from. Now my piercing procedure takes place and, believe or not, it is PAINLESS!!!! Finally, (this amazed me even tho it seems like a little thing), Connie gave me all the things I needed to make my at-home saline solution for cleaning. I did NOT realize till that moment how something so inexpensive could feel so priceless as a customer. Needless to say, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GET A PIERCING. PERIOD. I have 19 piercings, so I consider myself fairly well-versed in what constitutes a good piercer and piercing shoppe. After moving to the Edmonton area from out of country (where I had a regular piercer with over 20 years of experience), I had some struggles finding a piercing shoppe that did not have high turnover of employees and that did not gouge its customers in their prices. I am also a year into an autoimmune disease that has caused some major changes in the way my body handles healing (amongst other things). Ritualistics is exactly what I was seeking! The owner, Noni, has owned the business for over 25 years (yay for stability) and works at the shoppe daily. She is THE best person to see if you have *any* piercing needs. She will give you sound guidance to look after piercing-related issues and inform you of how to properly care for your piercing(s) holistically. There is a great selection of jewellery readily available and the prices are very reasonable. If you’re looking for something they do not have, or want a custom piece, Noni has long-established relationships with many vendors and can custom order pieces. The shoppe has been impeccably clean every time I’ve been there (and I have just dropped in a couple times). Proper sanitisation was maintained every visit as well. I suggest making an appointment in advance as people are seen by appointment due to high demand. I had an urgent issue with some fairly bad swelling (due to my compromised immune system and having multiple inflammatory conditions) and she was kind enough to squeeze me in to get longer posts in place. Noni is definitely NOT someone who is money hungry; rather, she cares about people genuinely! She is down to earth, honest, and direct. If you are a sensitive person, please don’t allow yourself to be offended as these are good and rare qualities that can sometimes come across as gruffness. Please hear her out and know what she says comes from a place of wisdom and experience. She also gives good hugs (I asked first and she was warm and welcoming)! A little strange for some, but I like giving people hugs, so it is good for me :) I’m happy to say I’ve found my body modification home with Noni (and Connie, who works front-end in a supportive role and is very helpful) and, because I trust her, I will also bring any tattoo business to her shoppe.

These ladies are AMAZING!! Great experience! The piercings were less painful than I expected. Lots of valuable information recieved. Noni even offered to check a piercing I had done elsewhere years ago, just for her to show and explain to me that the piercing that I went for was not done correctly and how it should be done. I haven't been here for awhile but after reading some of the less than positive comments, I wanted to add my comments. All of my non-earlobe (not sure if that's a term!) piercings have been done at Ritualistics and by Noni. Noni is VERY knowledgeable and professional. I had attempted to get piercings elsewhere where I suspected the piercers had very little actual experience. Noni tells it the way it is and not necessarily what you want to hear. I wanted a triple forward helix but she said only two at first and the 3rd once everything healed. I had a friend get the same thing only the other shop (rhymns with wagon) had no problem doing all three at the same time because they wanted the money. Needless to say, friends piercings did not work out. When I went in for downsizing, they worked it out so that I could save money. The only sort of hopefully constructive criticism I could maybe provide was I didn't find the front staff very friendly but, as mentioned, I haven't been to the shop for quite some time so probably different people there. Highly recommend for piercings.

I already had 12 piercings and went to Ritualistics for lucky #13. Went back in June 2018 for a septum piercing and had a great experience! Took maybe 4 months to heal and had no problems! Noni is the best piercer and very professional. She went over where exactly she was going to pierce, and this one requires to hit the soft spot or it can hurt and not heal for a long time. I recommend her to everyone that comments on my septum piercing. I will definitely go back for all my future piercings.

I have been getting tattooed by Lauren Baker since 2016. We have done both my full sleeves and working on full torso currently. She is easy going, and is extremely good at figuring out your tattoo idea. She is easy to sit with. If you want to chat, listen to music, or need a break she makes sure your comfortable. Highly recommend getting tattooed by Lauren. Her work is outstanding and she is very light handed, yet can get the ink to still look dark and stay in. Clean shop, but when I went in to get a new Monroe jewel they said I had to have it put in there and I couldn’t just buy the jewelry. They also didn’t tell me that it was going to cost 50$ till after it was put in. I have several friends who are able to install for me. I thought that was kinda shady

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! I am very disappointed that I decided to get my first tattoo done here. It was a huge commitment since I was getting a quarter sleeve done and I was very nervous about a first tattoo. 2 serious problems with the tattoo. #1 She got the roman numerals wrong, its a timepiece.. there is only 12 numbers to get right and they're in order. The template she used actually had the #12 correct but she somehow messed it up applying it to my arm. Didn't even notice until it got pointed out 1 week later, and im very embarrassed I havnt gotten it fixed yet. #2 she left terrible scaring in critical spots of the tattoo... ive had other tattoos done by other artists since and this never happened.. I even tipped her 25%. Feels like I got scammed.

Wouldn't go back there. Not only the tattoo artist made a spelling mistake on my tattoo but she had me waiting for at least 45mins for the printer to work. She charged me for 2hours when the tattoo only took an hour and 20mins, and gave herself a tip. Also half way through the tattoo, she took a 10min break to do a consult.

If you're looking for a shop that stands behind their work, don't go here. If you're looking for a place that will have you feeling great after your tattoo is healed, don't go here. The customer service is awful. Not even a hello or introduction when I met my "artist" Katrina. Before the first two weeks after my tattoo were over, it needed to be touched up. The outline of the tattoo was apparent because Katrina didn't go deep enough. When I mentioned this to the shop I was told I was pre-warned twice about the placement, which is a lie, as I was only told once near the end of the session, and told I would have to pay the $25 +gst touch up fee when it was all healed. I can't say anything bad about the owner, personally, as the employees probably didn't even show her my complaints. In closing; DON'T GO HERE. There are much better and more reputable shops with artists whom stand behind their work.

I got my nose pierced by Noni and had a wonderful experience! I've had my nose pierced by a gun before by a piercer that likely wasn't fully educated on the piercing and I ended up being misinformed/not knowing how to take care of it. Noni however, explained how to take care of the piercing very thoroughly and gave me the chance to ask any questions I had. She also made sure the process of piercing my nose went smoothly and did what she could to make sure I was relaxed during the process. The individual at the front desk (can't remember the name!) Was also very nice and gave me ample time to read through the aftercare instructions and answered my questions about the jewellery. It's only been a week since I got the piercing, but so far the healing process has been going well!

I spoke with Katrina during a consultation, and she had a number of ideas on how to cover and correct the piece, but was also very open to my personal preferences and sensibilities. Over the last several months, Katrina has been a godsend; she has an immense amount of skill (both on paper and on skin), inspires confidence in her work, and is all around a fantastic person. I will absolutely commission her to work on me further once this cover-up piece is complete. All the employees of Ritualistics are great. I won't even consider going elsewhere.

I got my second Cartilage pierced In February and I was blown away. I’ve always went to Cheap places that claim they do piercings but they do them with a gun. Noni Pierced me with a needle and told me my cartilage could have been shattered with a gun. My first Cartilage was pierced by a unprofessional person with a gun and my Cartilage was very infected. Noni told me how to take care of my piercing and then went on and on about how to clean it (very helpful). She is someone I definitely recommend and I will be going back to her to get my nose pierced in the summer!
