My litte brother died recently in a workplace accident. My sister, sister-in-law, my brother's best friend, and I all decided to get memorial tattoes. Five Fathoms accommodated us on relatively short notice and Dan did all four of our tattoes in an afternoon. We were blown away by Dan's work - he has a gentle hand, clean, precise lines, and was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with. It was my first tattoo and I was a total wimp but he coached me through it. If I ever get another tattoo (and after this it's quite likely), I'll be coming back here for it. Thanks Dan!

Just had my first-ever tattoo and Dan did an incredible job. It was a small design with a difficult placement and he killed it! Quick, precise and made it as comfortable as possible for me. I was wracked with nerves going into it but he sat and chilled with me until I was ready, started light, paused frequently so I didn’t get too overwhelmed and checked in numerous times verbally to make sure I was doing alright. Couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. The parlour itself is bright, clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The staff clearly get along and enjoy what they do. This spot is top rated for a reason :)

This was my first time at 5F, although I knew of Nick by reputation and he was recommended by my niece. I was very impressed right from the start. At the consultation he was immediately engaged and the artist in him was obvious. He had a lot of questions and ideas and when I left I had no doubts that I was going to be happy with how he drew my idea. He did an amazing job on the tattoo and was very efficient with his time. Just like the consult he communicated very well throughout and had both questions and suggestions. During my time there the rest of the staff were all part of the process of making customers feel comfortable. Thank you Nick and 5 Fathoms for a great piece; I'll be back.

went here to get my knuckles done and they refused me service because I didnt have "enough" tattoos for them. Went to another shop and they digged the tattoo so I'm not sure what the problem was? ????????‍♀️ Edit: The response below is absolute garbage. Just trying to make their company look solid. I remember the gentleman at front desk specifically telling me they wouldnt do it because I didnt have enough tattoos. All I wanted was letters on my fingers and a skull, I'm not sure how that's tricky to an artist but ok. You were extremely rude from the beginning and not interested in helping at all, c'mon, at least give a decent Google reply. ????

I first walked in this shop as a fresh skinned tattooless wide eyed kid not knowing the first thing about tattoo's or tattoo culture. I was recommended to this shop from various friends as well as other notable tattoo artists. They said if you are serious about having something on you for the rest of your life, then this is the place. From the first time I walked in the staff were so friendly and accommodating which is fantastic because it can be a little intimidating walking into a shop knowing nothing! Nick Matovich made time to really show me the ropes and was patient and accommodating, always making knowledgeable recommendations when I had a thousand different half thought out ideas. I was so pleased with my first tattoo from Five Fathoms, that I now have seven more from here. Jeremy Mathieson also did 3 for me and I am equally impressed by the pieces. 12/10 would recommend even if you live outside of Vernon! Friendly guys who are serious about tattoo culture, not just the kind of guys who watch ink master once, think it's easy and give you a tattoo on your cousins balcony. The real deal
