Caleigh was my peircer and I felt a little nervous before hand but she made me feel so at ease. So I walked in and there were 3 younger ladies on their phones, not a single one looked up and greeted us. We looked at the jewelry as I was debating a new piercing and still nothing. All eyes glued to their phones. My expectations are a lot higher especially for working in the customer service industry. I ended up decided against using ANY services here as no one seemed interested in my business. Extremely disappointing, if you have zero expectation of any sort of customer service this is definitely your place to be.

The worst customer service experience ever, my friend who freshly got her nose pierced a couple days ago from another shop, ripped out her end and fell down the drain. The customer service rep was awfully rude, was not helpful at all and wasn’t listening to the story as if she was just looking to change the jewelry, when she wasn’t since her jewelry ripped out and fell down the drain. Then proceeds to say “I don’t know what I’d sell you” I’m sorry what? She just needed an end for her post. That was it. Wouldn’t recommend just because customer service experience could have been a lot better.

If it could rate zero I would. They guy who gave me a forward helix did not have a clue what he was doing. He pierced me 3 times for 1 peircing and had me bleeding into my ear down to the ear drum and the blood filled my ear to the top to the point of pouring down my neck. He put me into a mild shock my sister who was with me had to help me walk to the bus to get back to her place. Then he charges me 100 for the whole thing peircing and jewlery plus I pay extra for cleaning care that he never gave me by taking advantage how out of it I was due to shock from loss of blood. I would go see bailey at pitbull on white ave now any day she is way better knows what she is doing and talks to you and helps you through the whole process plus the cleaning care was free and it cost me 82 for an industrial piercing. If you want a peircing see bailey at Pittbull on Whyte Ave. dragon fx is a bunch of bull.

This location is great, I highly recommend going here the staff are very friendly and helpful. I came in to get my ears pierced and was very nervous(I’m not a big fan of needles) the piercer Caleigh was more than what I could have hoped for. She was very well spoken and very professional, she walked me through it step by step assuring me everything would be fine, and it was!!!! My ears turned out perfect!!!!!! I had such a pleasant experience that I went back and got my septum done with Caleigh. Once more she made sure I was at ease the whole way through and yet again my piercing turned out great!!!!!! I highly recommend Caleigh as a piercer, she is and expert in her craft.

I had gotten my cartilage pierced from here about 3 years ago, I waited extra for it to heal so that I could finally switch it to a hoop. They sold me a piercing which they said would fit my cartilage, but would not close and in 24 hours caused an abundance of trauma to my ear. I went back to the piercer and she urged me to take it out as soon as possible. I did not feel comfortable putting the old stud back in as my ear showed no signs of improvement. I went back to complain about the 150$ piercing that did not fit, and costumer service was extremely rude and did nothing about it. There goes my cartilage piercing, time, and money. Not to mention the excruciating pain from trying to use a hoop that was too small.

Caleigh is now my new piercer of choice, she was extremely pleasant, informative, non judgmental, and super professional! I truly appreciate her help and professionalism, both when I was initially pierced by her, and also when I needed essentially a re piercing afterwards due to my fault. The rest of the staff were also fantastic, and knowledgeable, the store was super clean, and the quality of surgical grade jewelry they sold to be considerably better than other surgical grade jewelry I have previously bought elsewhere. I would definitely recommend going there for your piercing needs, and will be going back for any more piercings, and when I finally get my first tattoo.

I went in to get piercings and found the front end staff very friendly. Caleigh was my piercer and I can not say enough about how amazing she is. She's very professional and super comforting for a wimp like me who didn't think I'd be able to get both nipples done. A few days later I was concerned that the swelling was too much for the length of barbell so she had me come right in. She took a look and reassured me that everything was fine but offered to switch them out if I wasn't comfortable. I trust her judgement so I left them and feel much more relaxed now. I will absolutely be back and recommend Caleigh to anyone and everyone who wants a piercing.

My friend and I both got tattoos here together, and Tony was nothing if not helpful, patient, professional, and talented. This was my second session with him and he did 2 tattoos for me this time, one of which was matching the first one he did for me. he was great at discussing placement and angles with me to make sure the set looked great. My friend was pretty nervous and Tony talked her through the process and made sure to stay engaged with her so she stayed calm. Overall, DragonFX provides a great experience at their Kingsway and WEM locations, and I can't recommend artist Tony more.

First thing I'd like to say is, please don't judge the company by some terrible franchised locations you might've visited. The Kingsway Mall location of Dragon FX is absolutely FANTASTIC! I had my ears pierced here and I love 'em! This was my first piercing(s) ever, so you can imagine the nerves and contemplation. I made the mistake of going to the Dragon Fx WestEd location and got the shittiest service one could ever imagine. They were rude to me, they were condescending and overall I just found it to be a terrible place to ever get any work done! I was completely turned off by the idea of going through with the piercings at all because of those idiots. One of my friends convinced me to try the Kingsway mall location and boy am I glad she did because I had the most pleasant experience from the very moment I stepped foot in the studio. Everyone over there was extremely friendly and made me feel relaxed. They even helped me pick out the right kind of jewelry (which is BTW the best implant grade Titanium money can buy). Highly recommended!! Doesn't matter whom you see when you visit! A couple of tips for the first timers: - Make sure you eat something before you get a piercing or at least have eaten within the last 4 hours. - Relax and let them tell you about the process. You'll be done in no time and you'll feel great! I only have one complaint, actually a suggestion for the management at this establishment - please have a little more selection in jewelry. I was getting my nosed pierced. i walked in there and waited about 15 minutes. the guy that was working at the front desk was SUPER nice and funny. i was very comfortable. Michelle was the one who did my piercing and i was very nervous. it was over it 2 seconds and i barely felt a thing. so sweet and very happy with my results. only down side is that it’s peetty high pricing.. but overall it’s amazing

Super clean lobby area, with tons of jewelry and artwork on display. They have tons of cool flash tattoos up for grabs. Great customer service. I always recommend DragonFX Kingsway to anyone looking for piercers or tattoos!

I've had all of my body mods done through DFx Kingsway and I don't have a single complaint. Their artists are top notch and trained very well to maintain proper aseptic technique prior to and during any piercings and tattoos. Just had my eyebrow pierced by Daniel today and had yet another great experience. He took the time to explain that my piercing might migrate and what to look for and do if it does, and how to get the best results with healing. Even though I've had the same set of instructions given to me each time, it's always good to have a reminder. I'd definitely highly recommend all of the folks over at DFx Kingsway! All staff was exceptionally nice. However I had emailed the West Ed location which informed me they had the jewelry for my industrial piercing, but when we arrived they didn't have any, and the only ones they had their piercer was not comfortable using. So they reserved a barbell and balls at the kingsway location for me (they did discount us $20 for all the trouble at the kingsway location) ... So we had to drive there and when we arrived we had to wait 40 ish minutes, which isn't that bad. However I entered the room, and everything went smoothly, my top hole was in, and then my piercer, Michelle Watkins, went to pierce the second hole of my industrial. Thats when it STOPPED going smoothly, she did not connect the jewelry to the needle properly, so when she went to put the jewelry in, it fell out of the needle before going completely through my ear. I've been here many times, and I'm disheartened this was my experience for my industrial. Luckily it's been a month and it's healing well... But personally I don't think I'll go back to Michelle... But dragon fx is still my trusted piercing place. I just, won't go to Michelle specifically.

Sorry if this is a bit of a novel but I HAVE to say it. I’ve been here for piercings on both of my nostril piercings and a surface piercing. Firstly, they are SO accommodating for their customers and are always ready and willing to rebook and move appointment times around if possible. They’re so sweet to speak to on the phone and always make you really excited to come in. The shop itself is so clean and they’re incredible professional with everyone who walks through the door. I saw Caleigh for all of my piercings and I have not been AT ALL disappointed. She is so sweet and keeps such a clean work space and always makes you feel comfortable and ready for whichever piercing you’re getting. Always makes sure you know about the piercing and aftercare and makes sure you leave with all the information you need about your new piercing. And she makes great conversation! I received a conch piercing from Caleigh and had the best experience with her!! She made me feel like I was her only client of the day, she gave me all the time I needed to make choices about the jewelery and placement, gave me multiple choices with the placement, told me pros and cons of each placement, and made sure I was totally ready before she did the actual piercing. She has a great personality and made me feel totally relaxed. If I get anything done in the future I will always be going to her! One thing to note, I chose this place because as with all places, there are good and bad reviews. Besides the mostly good reviews and the fact that they use high quality jewelery, I noticed that the owner replied to any negative reviews very professionally.. no lashing out or getting offended. Just total professionalism and always an offer to rectify the situation. I find that not only important but impressive in a business owner!

I have now had 3 piercings done by Caleigh at the Kingsway location. She is very vocal throughout the whole "procedure"; step by step she is explaining what is happening and what will happen. When I was deciding to get my cartridge piercings I was very nervous and unsure but Caleigh totally changed my perspective and has me coming back for more. Highly recommend !

This place was so bad I had to write another review, the problem wasn’t with me getting a piercing or tattoo, it starts at the front desk, they are rude to certain people, and quite frankly won’t do the work if you have the money. Sure some people got some nice tattoos I’m sure by a great artists, but it starts with the judgmental ladies at the front counter, who said they had no belly button and tongue rings? I got my nose pierced here last summer. If I based my review solely on the piercing done and the interaction with the piercer I would be giving a 5 star review. Unfortunately, I found the staff very unprofessional at the front desk. I was waiting behind a man at the mall entrance who was talking with reception about a potential tattoo. When he left she rolled her eyes and asked the other staff at the desk if they heard their interaction. She then walked away while I stood there awkwardly waiting to be acknowledged. They continued talking about him negatively. My interaction with the piercer was 100% professional, but I didn't return because of how judgemental and catty the atmosphere was.

Last week I went in to get my helix pierced, and I had a great time. The service was fast and friendly and I felt the price was very reasonable. I ended up getting a double helix piercing with nice opal studs and the piercing artist did a great job of making sure that I understood what was happening during to process. I followed her directions for aftercare and have had no issues with either piercing. I'm considering getting a helix piercing done on my other ear or getting my nose pierced and I would definitely come here again for either procedure

Went to DragonFx to ask if they could help fix a tattoo, 3 men in front looked at it, and wafted on the idea, finally one spoke up and said "No, its too hard, because its too Small" ...Drove to Goodfellas tattoo on 97st, they said "No problem" had the tattoo done in 45mins, looks awesome! Caleigh pierced me on two occasions. She did my septum and my medusa. Not only is Caleigh extremely knowledgeable and professional, she went above and beyond to secure me custom jewelry from an incredible craftsman. She’s also funny, personable, and incredibly easy to be around. I have had piercing after piercing get infected, and improperly heal, to the point of having to remove them. Caleigh’s piercings healed quickly, cleanly, and I have never had a single issue with either she did for me. 10/10 would recommend.

I have gone here for all my piercings & have not in anyway been disappointed. (I have 10 piercings in total) None of my piercings have gotten infected, they had all healed perfectly. They are very clean & they never rush the piercings. Piercer talks to you while they clean you & their equipment. All placing are very clean & straight, none are crooked. They are very knowledgeable on piercings & after care. Have not gotten a tattoo here but I wouldn't be surprised that it'd be just as awesome. I wouldn't plan on going anywhere else for a piercings, highly recommend, hands down best hospitality :)

Poor customer service. 6 year old daughter chose turquoise color studs from display case. Samples were blue/green color and staff mentioned variations in blue/greeness between pairs. No problem - we like blue/green. No word of brown colored veins in some pieces. Piercer brought out a 2.5 mm pair but kept them in her hand - no offer to inspect the pieces. We focused on earring placement, the smile on our kid's face, and hustled our small kids home to bed. Noted a mark on one earring and planned to clean it in morning. Turned out to be a brown colored vein (simulating natural turquoise) running through the tiny earring. Our 6 year old doesn't care about realistic brown veins in synthetic turquoise - she just wanted pretty blue/green earrings and that's what we thought we purchased. Now she has one that makes her friends ask why it looks dirty - not exactly the keepsake earrings we hoped for. We asked Manager for one replacement earring. We should have insisted on inspecting the jewellery, but trusted we were getting the same earring as advertised. The display samples were not labelled "synthetic turquoise" to tip us off and there were no examples of brown veins in the turquoise display pieces. Staff, who knew about brown color variations, didn't say a helpful word, like "there's a large brown vein running through this tiny earring - is that okay?" I was also dismayed that I inadvertently tipped 25% on over $150 worth of jewellery in addition to piercing service - total bill was $183 - ouch indeed. The credit card machine doesn't itemize costs and at that point in our visit I couldn't remember what Reception said about the price of piercing vs earrings vs shafts...Would be helpful if Dragon FX gave an invoice to review, not just a cc card receipt at the end of payment transaction. Manager acknowledged our concerns and offered 20% off the cost of a new $25 earring. This feels like a token response to a reasonable request for one replacement earring. We came to get a professional piercing and the ear is healing well, thankfully. In light of our overall experience, however, we will not recommend, or return to Dragon FX.

Everyone is professional, explains things in and easy to understand manner and are fantastic from front end to whoever you’re getting a service done with in the back. Caleigh has done all of my piercings but 2. Her bedside manner is fantastic, she takes things at your pace and makes you feel very comfortable during the entire appointment. My visit consisted of feeling unwelcome, unvalued, and overcharged. I had my lobes pierced here and regret it immensely. Not the piercings, but rather my choice of coming to this establishment. To my dismay, the jewelry put in were hoops; in freshly punctured wounds. From what I’ve learned, the constant movement of hoops in new piercings extend healing times and is not recommended. I ended up having to switch them out for bars. Thankfully, both lobes healed nicely after that. My only compliment is that it was clean, although that should be an expected given and hardly counts. Would not recommend to anyone.

My younger sister and I went to Dragon FX at Kingsway mall earlier today to both get our earlobes pierced. Had the most amazing experience, every single person we interacted with was so helpful and kind. There was a beautiful array of jewellery options for our ears to choose from!! Kasi and Daniel did "tandem" piercings for us so we could get both ears done at once, and made us feel so at ease and they were super nice and easy going. I would highly recommend this place! The people working the front were rude. I went in to ask about getting a tattoo and booking for one. I was told which days were open for booking to get a tattoo and I said which day would work than the lady immediately changed her mind and said I would need to book online. The interaction was horrible my nine year old shows more respect towards people than this lady did! I than did attempt to request a booking online to get a tattoo that was 4 weeks ago and never once did I get a call to book. I was able to find another tattoo place that amazing customer service!

I gave 3 stars because the staff was very friendly and the environment was clean. this is a good place to get pierced, but beware, their jewelry prices are INSANE. I wanted a pair of simple straight barbells with a gem on each side and they quoted me at $250 for the pair! I went to At Needlepoint at Londonderry mall and they quoted me at less than $100 for the same pair. it's sad that Dragon FX spikes their prices so much and rips off customers that don't know any better. if you want some nice, premium quality jewelry, I highly recommend At Needlepoint at Londonderry mall.

I got referred here by someone who had some work done. I called another location with what I wanted and they specifically referred me to Carl at this location due to the design of my tattoo. I went in to describe what I wanted etc and that all went well, the one thing I didn't like was how since I am from out of town, I couldn't see the art via email, or something to confirm it was what I wanted (he still worked with me on it though, I'll get to that later) . I paid my deposit and booked a day when I was going to be in town (I changed it and changed it back due to personal stuff getting in the way) but the shop still worked with me and didn't make a fuss over it. When the day finally came I was almost 3 hours late, they still worked on me which involved a complete redesign of the tattoos and got one of them finished, and worked on me the next day right up until closing, we didn't get it fully finished but he made an effort to have a pretty complete piece (it's just missing some shading) which was sweet. I can't remember how much it was, but it is a pricey shop, and it is WELL worth what you pay, and they don't pull the "cash only" bullshit that alot of shops do and make you run to an atm like an idiot when you go to pay. Walking down the hallway up to the shop, I mistook the area of having a dental office nearby because of the cleaning chemicals, not a speck of dirt on the floor, the actual tattoo office was spotless, the glass was clean and shiny, just a general spotless shop. The actual tattoos are awesome, better than what I had hoped for and then some. The colors are perfect and the style I wanted was right on the money. Thanks again!

I would say though the piercer who did my nose gave quite the impression she didn’t want to be there. She told me my eyes would water unless I was “dead inside”. I found Kabs before he was at Dragon FX. The first tattoo he ever did for me was a rib piece. This was a touchy spot for me (for reasons I won’t get into), but Kabs made me feel comfortable & safe. So much so that I followed him to Dragon FX for a collarbone tattoo! Of another rose (the rib was a rose) of course. Kabs & his flowers... wow! He’s incredibly sweet & so gentle while tattooing. I had gotten my tongue pierced on thanksgiving by Michelle at the WEM location. I have no complaints, it healed great and she was very sweet and knowledgeable! My complaint is that when I had walked in to the Kingsway location and asked for a tongue piercing, Caleigh had looked at my tongue and said that she couldn’t because the frenulum underneath went almost to the tip. So I had then gone to WEM and Michelle looked at my tongue and had said that it was fine to do. She pierced it at an angle to the side and had said the only reason that Caleigh said that was because she didn’t like doing tongue piercings. Now, I understand that certain piercings may not be your favourite, but you shouldn’t turn away a client for that reason, especially if I’m going to pay $100 plus a tip. If you do go to dragon fx, ask for Michelle. She’s amazing!

Long overdue review! After a few painful, unprofessional and unsuccessful attempts to have my septum pierced (not at DFX), I had the most pleasant experience! I went a while back but it was amazing. The piercer answered all of my questions and was polite and didn't push or rush me in the slightest. I got my eyebrow pierced and even when I went back out to pay, all the staff complimented me and made me feel super happy and confident with the service. I plan on going back for all future piercings. Update: went back a few days ago to get a septum piercing and was thoroughly unimpressed. The man at the front counter told me my nose was crooked and as I was filling out the paperwork was talking quite loudly about how he can't wait to get home so he can "eat my boyfriends ass". It was very unprofessional and not what I want to hear about. When the piercer came out she said I have to go alone and I said that if I had to go alone I wasn't going. I left the shop but my boyfriend went back and tried to explain that I have specific reasons that I need someone with me and asked if I could be pierced by anyone else so that he could be in the room with me. The woman then told him that she has anxiety and having a second person in the room is too much for her. Glad I didn't see her, if she can't handle someone there to hold my hand without messing up a piercing then maybe she shouldn't be a piercer.

He made a 'newbie' feel comfortable and there wasn't any pain or discomfort during the tattoo session. Tod normally works out of Kingsway mall but I lucked out in securing his tattoo services at WEM. I would highly recommend Tod for your tattoo needs - new needles, one use bottles of ink...clean and sanitary...no worries in that department.

I gave Caleigh a tough project today.. we had some bumps but she nailed it and I’m glad she did it. I had high nostril piercings done else where. I had came to her shortly after they were done because something was wrong. She steered me in the right direction to fixing them. 3 months later. Today, I came to see her for a jewelry change. My piercings were done oddly higher than usual which made things extremely difficult. I have always came here for my piercings and the one time I didn’t so many things went wrong. I made appointments here weeks in advance, to get my 10 year old daughters ears pierced, and my nose ring changed. Didn’t seem to be a huge biggy to me. I travelled an hour and a half to get there, I ended up getting lost in the mall trying to find them and was about 8 minutes late. I did call them to let them know I was just about there, and they seemed friendly and understanding. But then when I arrived, the woman who was going to pierce my daughters ears, seemed very irritated by us. She said since we were late, we could reschedule or go ahead but we’d have to rush since she had someone else coming in 20 minutes (that was me for my nose ring), but she didn’t realize that it was me next after my daughter. I felt nervous for my daughter and on the spot. I knew my daughter was nervous, but I had just travelled so far to get there and didn’t want to turn back around. The woman was incredibly short and clearly unimpressed, no friendliness whatsoever toward my daughter in the least. Sure didn’t help ease my daughters anxiety. I decided she could go ahead and do it since she really wanted them pierced, and I didn’t want to travel for nothing. I was not allowed back with my daughter because of covid restrictions, which I understand, so I am not exactly sure how she was toward my daughter while piercing her ears. I felt bad I couldn’t at least be assuring for her if the lady wasn’t at all. After that I had asked about my nose piercing being changed. She said no they’re all booked up. Super short and didn’t even give me an idea as to if or when I could even make another appt. I couldn’t understand because I had made an appt for myself too weeks ago. Even if I hadn’t, it literally took 10 seconds. She didn’t care less, didn’t seem to even like her job. Then she realized that I in fact was her next appt, she changed the nose ring in 10 seconds, and probably had a half hour before her next appt. So yeah very unfriendly woman, didn’t make my daughter or myself feel comfortable with the situation at all, looking back I should have just gone elsewhere. Another note, is their shop is covered in disgusting pornographic anime art that kids shouldn’t see posted right in front of the store. Super awkward. Even if nipples are covered ???? Anime with loads dripping out of their mouths, just gross. Will never go back.

I had my septum pierced in November 2017 by Caleigh. I was extremely nervous to get the piercing done. I am quite an anxious person and I’m sure my blood pressure was through the roof. Caleigh and the staff at this location were so kind to me and took the time to listen to all my crazy fears and concerns. They didn’t rush me at all when I was clearly struggling to make decisions in terms of the jewellery. Caleigh pointed out to me while I was there that I have a deviated septum (I always just thought my nose was a weird shape haha) and she took her time to make sure my piercing was as straight as possible. My piercing ended up perfect as a result! It’s straight, it healed beautifully. I’ve never had any problems with it at all. I would highly recommend this location and Caleigh herself, especially if you are like me and are a little nervous and need some extra reassurances/information. Lastly I’ll just mention that I have worked in 2 doctor’s offices over the past 7 years and I work part time in a tattoo studio. So I feel comfortable making a statement that the shop was very very clean, and Caleigh was very professional and aware of cross contamination concerns. Very impressed with my experience!

Got a date after 2 weeks, they asked me to send the font of my lettering tattoo.I sent it , there was no further contact from their part , the day prior to my appointment I contacted them as there was no further consultation about the size , the length and other details to make stencil. On the day of appointment I reached there at 11am and my appointment was at 11:30 . Filled up all the forms and asked me to wait for artist. He came at 11:30. There was no stencil ready, and was doing it right in front of me .. I was not happy with the size and length of my tattoo and I gave my suggestion. Around 11:50 he said he have another appointment at 12 and he can’t do my tattoo and he called another artist to my tattoo..I did not know what I do in that situation. I don’t know anything about the other artist. He asked stencil from Alex and tried to modify it. He was a good guy and felt more professional than Alex. Alex might be a good artist but was not at all professional, he doesn’t know how to behave , some front end staff tried to not to refund my money but they had to refund it . I never visit this place again.

Got my monroe pierced 4 days ago and this is the 3 time ive gotton one from FX its red and its oozing puss The thing that hits hard is i went in last night seen the piercer, she said its irratated. My mom has her monroe and this never happened to her. I get most of mine done at FX and this is what sets me off, its not healing well or going away. Im following the after care steps but its getting worse. Lesson learned, Not coming back to FX for a piercing again. Its infected and Im just not impressed.

I came in at the beginning of January to see Caleigh for two dermal piercings on the side of my face. She was prompt, professional and gave me all the information to make an informed decision about this piercing. The girl at the front desk was polite and very helpful when it came to my jewelry choices as well. The selection was gorgeous and all of the jewelry is very high quality. The studio itself is very clean and clearly well cared for. Caleigh talked me through the process and proceeded with my piercings. She was gentle and the pain was minimal. Her advice for aftercare ensured my piercings healed fantastically and I couldn't be happier with how my dermals turned out. I know I'll be returning to her for the rest of my piercings and highly recommend her for both people new to the process as well as those experienced with getting body mods. thanks again for this experience!
