After a long search for the right place for my first tattoo, I decided to go with Body Art & Soul and they did not disappoint. Both the shop and my artist, Lucci, are highly recommended. Lucci was super friendly, made sure I got the result I was looking for, and if you go to his Instagram @lucci_inks you'll see he's super talented. My tattoo turned out extremely authentic to my original design and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again Lucci!!

Just gonna repost what I wrote on birdeye right here!???? I had such a fun and amazing time here. Sara is freaking amazing and a total sweetheart. I'm definitely going to be coming back and bring a friend if I can.???? Everyone else was also pretty nice. And it was really cool finding out how she got into tattooing and coming up with the ideas. She was very detailed in everything she did. So if anyone in looking to check them out...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!

I went in last night and got a piece done by Lucci, who’s just the absolute best his linework is so clean and color is so vibrant. Any of the artists there can help you get what you’re looking for! I highly recommend stopping by and getting some work done!

Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. The tattos from most artist there. Are sloppy done to quick with no experience. Alot of the tattoo workers are newbies, in retrospective the tattoos they do don't flow with your sceme of the art work you already have.

Hands down, this is by far the most professional and personable tattoo shop I've ever been to! I can not wait to go back and get more ink from them! The artists are very talented and knowledgeable. I got my tattoo from Adam Fronc and I am beyond obsessed with it. His art is astonishing! Everyone who works here is so kind too. Talented and fun artists are always in the shop. Weekend walk-ins are more readily available than weekdays. Shop runs on customer communication to the artists, the best way is to find shop artists on instagram and reach out there.

While the staff at BAS are friendly, professional, and do really great work, the company itself is managed by some not so friendly, not so professional people and it shows in the shop. This place just sucks. It’s truly unfortunate for those who work there.

Got a flash tattoo here a bit ago, and the shop put an apprentice on me who had never tattooed and didn’t tell me he was new. I suddenly realized he was totally shading wrong , and copying the flash totally wrong and I stopped him to ask if he was new. He had no idea what he was doing and was so unsure. He messed up my tattoo and shaded it totally wrong, they had to have someone else step on just to save it but now I have a tattoo that is nothing like what it should have been and totally messed up. I wouldn’t go here for flash tats. So so so un professional and all they did was give me a coupon. Wow thanks lmao.

Today I got tattooed by DaisyLu. She was fantastic to work with, entirely friendly and open to suggestions and recommending her professional opinion. Great conversation and made sure I was comfortable and happy throughout the whole process. I was with a group of friends in town for an event and their friendly customer service was able to accommodate those of us that wanted to get tattooed on such short notice. I can’t thank Body Art & Soul enough for their great staff and everything they did for us this week. I will also add, all of my tattoos have been done by the same artist, a family friend who owns a shop in Upstate NY. I reached out to him for a recommendation for a tattoo shop and he replied promptly with “Body Art & Soul in Brooklyn”. 100% worth every penny and every second spend under the needle. Such friendly staff and a beautiful space all together. Thank you guys so much!! ???????????? I will be back ASAP!

I just found the most fabulous tattoo shop in Brooklyn. I have researched everything in NYC - I came upon this shop this month and felt welcome right away. The person at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable; no one was pushy. The atmosphere is so inclusive, artists are of different ethnicities and gender - wow! what a difference compared to what's out there. I looked at some of the artists' designs; impressive. I have some friends overseas who want to become apprentices here. They spoke to several people at BAS about it and were treated great - no one was pushy. I am thrilled they will have this chance to be in nyc and study with BAS. Thank you BAS! This review below makes no sense to me - I guess some people are always unhappy

I’ve had work done by him before but this was the first large piece with color I got from him and it far exceeded my expectations! He’s a very versatile artist and really laid back so he makes it super easy and comfortable to sit with him for several hours at a time. Lovely atmosphere and artists. My cousin got a free tattoo as part of an apprentices training (?) And it came out beautifully. All the artists were inclusive, genuine and light hearted. We even commented when Dylan walked in that "wow that guy is really nice." Would definitely recommend going here. The professionalism, skill and conversation make for a wonderful experience.

Worst tattoo ever! Only after getting horribly scarred did I learn.... THIS IS A TATTOO SCHOOL!!!! Cannot stress that enough, after these "tatters" pay a lot of money for no education, you pay to have them practice on you! Never ever would I support this type of experience.
