Great place to get tattoos and piercings, I have been going here for the past 4 years, I have all my tattoos done in this shop, Ed pierced my Monroe when I was 14 and it was a great experience. Ed and Berto are great. Their work is amazing and it’s by far my favourite shop. I wouldn’t be tattooed anywhere else!

First off it cost $50 for one ear. Secondly, the guy (ED) didn't even mark my ear. First time having a piercing where it wasn't marked. I told him I wanted it in the same spot as my other ear. Well once I got home, I looked at it in the mirror and it was COMPLETELY OFF. I called and complained, he said he would do it again. I don't want him touching my ear again. He will not refund me. And he started blaming me. He said the ear rings were different in the 2 ears. Fine so I took his ear ring out and put the matching one in, looks ever WORSE. He said I should have pointed out where I wanted it. Well, I did tell him I wanted it in the same spot as the other one. He said he couldn't see it right with my ear rings in. Well he should have asked me to take them out. COMPLETEY UNPROFESSIONAL. He said I should have told him in the shop, well a really professional would have done it right the first time. Stop blaming me for your mistake and take responsibility. Maybe he couldn't see straight since every time he went outside, he came in smelling like he had smoked a pound of weed. I'm so not impressed. I want my money back. It sucks I had such a great experience with Brad and my amazing tattoo. Then it takes 1 minute to mess up my ear to taint my experience. Ed is the most unprofessional "business person" I have ever dealt with he took my money after screwing up my piercing. He said he will redo it, I don't want him touching me again just to mess up again. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. He won't even give half my money back. He never marked my piercing. He messed up, make it right by at least giving me half my money back. I have to get it re-pierced because of him. If this is how he wants to do business. I hope he fails.

Walked in knowing what I wanted, Ed quickly printed out an example and stencilled it up for me. Absolutely love it! However would've loved some for a little more professional feedback when I ask about positioning. But i understand from his point of view because it will be going on MY body forever. Will most likely be returning for some more:)

I really enjoyed my experience the staff are all nice and have a great sense of humour! Brad Rogers really delivered what he promised me. A realistic wolf face that is absolutely phenomenal! Despite the uncomfortable pain associated with getting a tattoo the professionalism and relaxed atmosphere did everything to make it more comfortable and a fun experience. I went here with a friend to get a tatoo and the guy seemed nice. The place wasnt overly clean though. I also didnt like the fact that they BLASTED the music through her whole session. Like couldn't even here yourself think. I also found them to be way over priced and I was extremely disappointed ???? when she told me what she had paid for what she got! Not cool. I have some great work on me and I paid a fair price but she was definatley overcharged! Besides all of this his work is decent and he has some talent. The time we were there was good and pretty pleasant. The guys were easy going and easy to chat with when the music wasnt on!!

I just got my tattoo from Ed. This was my second real tattoo. Ed was very easy to work with, I was only in town for a week and he was flexible enough to fit me in on short notice. He had a great sketch ready for me when I got there that fit my vision to a T! Super friendly, put me at ease right away and made the whole experience as "pleasant" as getting a tattoo can be. I got my first tattoo done here a few years ago. I didn't really know anything about tattoos so I was very nervous. I went to the store on a whim with a small drawing of a rose, the guys were outside on a smoke break and greeted me kindly and graciously told me they would stay late to do the tattoo right away. I think it was Ed who did the tattoo. He was unexpectedly calming and made it a bearable experience. I was only charged 60 dollars which seemed like a great deal. Thanks guys!!

My daughter went in a got a tattoo which was quoted to be a specific price and half way threw they tell her it's going to cost her more money in my opinion that's a very bad way to do business once you give a price it doesn't change . On top of all that they tattooed a miner without parents content I had no knowledge of this tattoo till after the fact. That's 2 very unhappy people plus she wasn't that impressed with the art work. Live N learn no more money going to this shop N I'll be sure to pass the word on to all my friends. Did you know that over 50% of your clients is word of mouth guess your percentage is going to drop

I'll start off with that Ed was professional and very kind. I got a helix piercing done on the 20th of July. He was very fast and it was almost painless, but just after 2-3 days, even though I was cleaning my piercing properly, my whole ear swelled up and it was oozing and super painful. I went to another piercing shop to get it removed and the piercer told me that Ed had put a 14g in my ear, and that a 16g or smaller should be used for this area. The other piercer cleaned my ear, and switched it out for a 16g and my ear not even 24hrs later has reduced dramatically in swelling and pain. Won't be going back to TrueHart.

The staff and atmosphere at True Hart Tattoos is awesome! I had Brad design my tattoo. He did an excellent consultation and even came up with an incredible design of three roses that was unique for me and not just some cookie cutter stencil. Brad did a great job on the design and he even spent 5 hours total doing the actual tattoo. It turned out beautiful and I am so impressed with his work. I would highly recommend them to anyone. It is a friendly, fun and clean place and their prices are VERY reasonable! Thanks Brad!

I had my tattoo done by Brad. I went in with an idea for the design, but it wasn't quite right. Brad worked on it for a while till he came up with the perfect design. The outcome was awesome...he did some shading and fading where 2 different colors crossed and used a super lively red I was very very happy with!!! Also very important: before starting, Brad sterilized all the tools that were not disposable (the chair, the table,ecc) and used disposable needles, tips, etc. Thank you so much!!!!

My fiancé just got her third tattoo today from Brad, her first at TrueHart. She was pretty nervous because the placement behind her ear, but Brad was very kind and understanding and did all he could to make her experience more comfortable. She has been gushing about how awesome her tatt and Brad is all day since. About two weeks ago, I myself also went in to Berto and started what will be a tribal half-sleeve. He has to be the most skilled tribal artist I've ever seen, and made a seemingly simple tattoo of a tribal wolf have so much character, life, and detail. Berto will be finishing it for me and has my respect all the way. This shop is run well by 3 of the most skilled and enjoyable tattoo artists we have ever known. Thanks so much guys! The tattoo I got at TrueHart was very important to be as it represented my grandfather who passed away when I was younger. I wanted to get it done on the day that he had died (July 26th) and I booked the appointment so last minute I was afraid no one would be able to take me. Thank goodness for Brad. I came in, with a vague idea and a couple of reference pictures, and though he had expected a design already prepared, he took the pictures I gave him and we left him for a couple hours to draw up a design. He took it very seriously and came up with something I couldn't have even imagined. It represented my grandfather perfectly and was a magnificent design. The design consisted of a steampunk pocket watch and wings coming out of it. Brad was friendly and approachable and I couldn't have asked for a better tattoo artist for such an important thing. The line art took around an hour and a half and after a break we went at it again for another hour and a half. I have had a tattoo before this one but it wasn't nearly as good of an experience as at TrueHart. My parents were with me, for such an important event, and Brad talked to them and made them feel comfortable while they sat and waited for so long. He made me relax, even though it was painful, and even used numbing spray after the line art so the shading wouldn't be as bad. I know for a fact that not all tattoo artists do this (as the numbing spray costs them more) but Brad wanted to make sure his customers had the best experience possible. All in all TrueHart is a fantastic place and I would recommend it for anyone! I met a couple of the other artists and they all seemed very professional! Ask for Brad whenever you go! He's great!

Whoever did my piercing in Europe, tightened the ends with tools. I could not get it off without ripping my skin. I called almost every tattoo place in kingston(everyone said no) and he was the only one that helped me. he was so friendly and cool about helping me out. The place is clean and the guys are really nice. Will be going there for my next tattoo also!
