Where do I even start? You walk in and are immediately welcomed with a smile and all attention is on you. I went in for my first tattoo ever, I'm 18, and they loved the idea. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and understanding, and my artist, Kyle Sajban, was having a good time telling me about his years in tattooing and keeping up good conversation with me even during my wincing (it was my first time just keeping it real). But above the spectacular service I was provided during my visit; my tattoo. I went in with just a sharpie drawing of what I wanted, a design I had found and made my own with only a slight bit of bolding. Just a simple black and white line piece. When I tell you I could not be any more satisfied with this beautiful piece of art, I'm being serious. Thank you so much to Kyle, Josh, and everyone else at Hand of Doom Tattoo for an awesome experience and a wicked, permanent, awesome tattoo!

Marcus did my two arm pit tattoos years ago when he was apprenticing and holy hell was his hand heavy then. While driving through Buffalo not to long ago he executed one of the cleanest pieces on me. It Is the best tattoo I have. In record time he put a masterpiece on me and I barely felt it. Along with a professional attitude and a sharp wit he'll put an awesome tattoo on you. Don't worry it does hurt.

I had the utmost disrespectful and unpleasant experience I have ever had at a tattoo shop, it started by a pleasant mid 20s man who gave me and my friend somewhat consideration and then when he went to go get the artist MOLLY ! It went downhill form there so at first my friend wanted a rose and a goat on the top of his hands done, and then she immediately told him no I won't do that, you don't have full sleeves why would I tattoo your hands, WITHOUT EVEN ROLLING HIS SLEEVES UP !! He had long sleeves on as well as I did and the combination of the both of us we have 20+ tattoos so for her to tell us what we can and cant get on our body is the utmost of disrespect. And after that my friend said okay well this is what I want on the top of my arm and it was a picture of a gothic style building and she again immediately told him absolutely not and that there would be no tattoo artist that would take that job and after that he felt instantly insulted and as was I. After the hostile attitude she showed twods us I was hesitant to even ask to get my tattoos but as she was walking away she turned around and asked if I wanted anything and I had relied yes I did have intentions of getting two small ones. I had wanted my dirt bike number on my hand on the inside of my left had from about inbetween the inside of my wrist to before th start of my thumb and then a Rosery wrapped around my wrist and she had again in a hostile tone replied "no, I won't tattoo your hands either" so either her lack of talent and her piss poor attitude was enough to drive is out of this hell hole we immediately took out great sums of money and went elsewhere because no amount of money is worth being talked down on in the tattoo community and having to deal with MOLLYS poor attitude so I'm sorry for all the fellow artists who work there but my friend who has received all of his 10 tattoos from hand of doom will no loner be going to the shop. And as for someone who has never been but herd very good things about the stop, I will rate this place 1 star and not recommend anyone to go here, and will stick fatheful to the wonderful plsent attitudes and warm inviting soles of HYPERION TATTOO and recommend anyone to go there for welcomed walk ins and present and friendly people. I highly don't recommend the bitter and hostile attitude of MOLLY at hand of doom tattoo

Amazing experience, Heather did a hand-sized sunflower with shading and color on my leg and I'm in love. She did some AWESOME work... her lines were perfect and she made sure to give me small breaks when needed. I was so comfortable, and it was over in an hour, which was very impressive considering how well done it was. The cost was even reasonable. I'm definetly coming back in the future!! my only complaint is how much the deposit was ($100 to make an appointment) but it's understandable considering how professional they are.

I've been here many times over the years, and I always leave satisfied. Hand of Doom is home to some amazing artists. They're clean, professional, and experienced. Josh is always patient and polite, and I'm a big baby when I get tattooed. My mom started getting tattooed there too because he's so great. I don't have personal experience with Jon or Chris, but their work is amazing too.

Just got out of an appointment with Connor. He did an amazing job on my Blink 182 logo tattoo and I couldn't be happier :) I'm always a bit anxious going into new places, and sitting down with a complete stranger usually has me on edge a bit (major introvert here, lol), but I felt really comfortable in this shop and with this artist. I tend to get each tattoo with a new artist at a new shop each time, but I'd definitely come back here. I highly recommend stopping in if you haven't :)

I had been disappointed at two other area shops while shopping for the place to get my first tattoo. I immediately felt welcome coming into H.O.D. They were warm and friendly and understanding that I was nervous and a little picky about design. The guy at the desk made me my appointment and introduced me to the artist that would be working on me the next day. He was SO nice and didn't have any of the biker or haughty "I'm an artist" feel to him. Just a regular guy. (My artist's name was Josh.) They didn't mind that I hung around a while and looked in all their books. The next day, I brought him my design, he sketched it, and we got to work! He was professional but not overly invasive or chatty; sort of let me call the shots. He did a WONDERFUL job and the most amazing thing is that there's barely been any flaking, scarring, and it doesn't itch AT ALL. They must use excellent ink and methods. I HIGHLY recommend Hand of Doom!!! You should know that the artists there have a unique "style"...more cartoony instead of photorealistic, with wide outlines and vibrant colors. I brought my own design and he duplicated it well, but look through their books if you want a custom design. (He even modified mine a little afterwards when I made a suggestion.)

Went for a walk in around 2:30pm, when asked what I wanted done the lady at the desk informed me walk ins are usually for palm size or smaller (I wanted a full thigh piece) but followed up with the fact that the artist had some time and we may be able to do it in sessions. awesome! was totally okay with that idea, so kyle has just finished up with another customer and came and we talked and he drew.up a wicked cool piece that was exactly what i was looking for. in was super impressed we ended up finishing my whole thigh! his art work is impeccable and he was super attentive. def going back for future ink.

Hand of Doom has been a legend in Buffalo, NY for as long as I can remember. Yesterday on October 6th 2018 I learned why. Their was not a single thing wrong with this establishment. Not a single thing. Customer relations, scheduling, the actual artists, their work. Nothing was amiss. If you are looking for a tattoo or have been curious, do yourself a favor and go to these guys whose art could very well be in a gallery or museum.

I have been to several tattoo shops and have gotten many tattoos before. My friend and I went in for a walk in, we were not told about the $100 minimum for each person. I got a small 15min tattoo my friend got a small 25min tattoo and we walked out owing $250 for work that was less than 1 hour for 2 people and 2 very small tattoos. I could have gone to any other shop and gotten a colorful, large, hour long tattoo for $100 and so could my friend. Never going back here, way overpriced even for a tattoo.

I decided to get a tattoo one day and had heard of H.O.D being really good through friends etc. So I went there walked in just 2 hours before closing, with no appoitment or call ahead, they were very welcoming and kind I told them what I wanted and Molly drew it up and got me back there and the tattoo came out better than I pictured!
