You feel comfortable and you are guided through the entire process. I will definitely be coming back for more.

This shop is one of the best shops with some of the best artists in this city. They’re all super chill, inclusive, friendly and welcoming. The shop is adorable with a mix of contemporary and vintage design. Plus, it’s in a great location. I have over 10 pieces from here and I continue to come back for me. Jon is my go to but I can’t wait to get a piece from Alanna too. You can’t go wrong with a tattoo from Bellwoods. Keep up the great work crew. Love you ????

*DONT LISTEN TO THE GOOD REVIEWS READ THIS FIRST** I did not have a good experience at this place and I would never get work done here, The staff pretty much judged me from the moment I walked in they are SO OLD SCHOOL (sorry I have color to my skin) as I recall tattoo shops are supposed to be one of the least judgemental places you can go to, I wanted to have a hand/arm tattoo done and I'm not sure if this "artist" (alanna) doesn't have confidence in her own methods and work but she was very rude and quickly said she would not feel comfortable tattooing me while judging my henna leaf design, Mind you I was not rude and I kept very professional with her while she told me how "no one would tattoo my arm/hand in Toronto as well" pretty much telling me even if I go to someone else they won't do it either? and "I have to earn it"??? This isn't the 80s and I'm not in a gang so what exactly am I earning here? Extremely unprofessional and rude So I still wanted to go ahead with maybe a tiny piece of the arm that she said that she would be okay with doing then she tells me she's booked up for months ok cool. Your too busy telling other people the same thing right? dismissing there designs and degrading? Or is it just me? she also said how people are going to JUDGE ME AFTER I GET THIS DONE? how people will look and I'm going to hate it because she goes through that in the summer because of her leg tattoos? do you enjoy your job or even remotely like your OWN TATTOOS? She can't call herself an artist talking trash like that. She has NO RIGHT to be judging customers Toooo unprofessional for that title. I completely understand that the tattooist can refuse work but did she have to act so entitled and rude? ** Alanna has too big of an ego and what an awful attitude ** I ended up going to adrenaline with NO PROBLEMS and got my tattoo done You ,like me live in Toronto and value your hard earned cash and designs please GO ELSEWHERE I have spread my experience with friends and family looking to get work done here and they went to adrenaline drama free in the end ???? spoke with other artists about this too and they just laughed and said they already know this place is like this

Everybody at Bellwoods Tattoo is so nice. The space is great, all of the artists are super talented, and it’s in a great area. I did a double tattoo with a Evie and had the best afternoon! Justin was great at explaining the process to me and putting my mind at ease. This was only my second tattoo (my first was over 13 years ago) so I was very nervous. As the tattoo was on my wrist, I loved that he specifically drew it out so that the wrist ‘folds’ when your hand bends wouldn’t get caught up in the design. Very patient, professional and easy going!

I went in for a tattoo with Jon and was so pleased with the entire experience! I got there on time and Jon was waiting and ready for me. The tattoo he drew up was exactly what I had hoped for and he took what I wanted for colouring into consideration and offered his input on a couple colour changes to make sure the piece looked great and didn’t have clashing colours! The final piece was better than I ever could have hoped for! The shop itself is such a cute little shop and everyone there was so friendly and professional and their clients all seemed to be so pleased with their new artwork!

CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE! Beware - customer service is lacking. Save your money and time for a shop that treats paying customers well! Put down a deposit for a Nov appointment in July with Alanna. Sent an email with notes and ask to be waitlisted for an earlier time slot if possible. Received no reply 1 month later. Emailed shop, got a bounce back. Called multiple times until someone picked up. They confirmed my appointment day in Nov and shared that she would not be able to take me earlier. Fast forward: Nov, two days before appointment, I have to get in touch to ask for notes/drawing of my tattoo (should be the other way around). Told that my appointment is actually the next day and not two days away. No confirmation email sent, no accountability for the date their staff confirmed. Took my deposit, refused to waive the deposit to rebook. This is an unprofessional and entitled tattoo shop. And Alanna is one of the owners!

After doing months of research, first timer :-) I really appreciated the patience and accommodation around setting up a time for my first tattoo (will I did two [2] tattoos at once on my first experience). Alanna, was my artist and she did an excellent and professional job, but everyone I met and spoke with from the receptionist (sorry hon I forgot your name, you made me feel welcome and comfortable about my first experience - you worked on July 15 in the morning, 10am) to Alanna's partner, Justin (another great artist). Everywhere I go I get compliments and asked for Bellwood's contact (which I gladly give) now I am planning for more tattoo. OMG, I am addicted!

I have been to many different tattoo shops in many countries and cities and I can truly say this shop is amazing. There is a very welcoming vibe at the shop and Alanna, Alec, Jon and Evelyn are very welcoming, friendly and professional. Evelyn Bacopulos has been my artist for a number of years in a few different shops and I'm very happy she has found a home at Bellwoods. Evelyn goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy with their experience. There is a mutual trust between her and I which I believe is important to have in a relationship between artist and client. After over 25 years of getting ink from various artists I ended up getting a tattoo from Evelyn and haven't been tattooed by anyone else since. The first time I was at Bellwoods was when Evelyn did a guest spot there a couple of years ago and I immediately felt comfortable there even though I'd never been tattooed there before. Of course Evelyn is mostly responsible for that comfort but I believe the open floor concept and the camaraderie between the artists, and even the clients at the time, made for a very comfortable experience. If it's your first or hundredth tattoo definitely check out this shop! Whether you live in Toronto or are just passing through it is worth stopping by and meeting the artists and checking out their portfolios.

I have seen robbie binx for a few of my tattoos in the past and I am disappointed in her professionalism on her social media. She has attacked people for their choices online and has offended quite a bit of her clients. It is your choice as a business to refuse non vxxed customers but it is very very disappointing and disturbing to see what your artists have to say about their customers on their social profiles. Not impressed and will not be associating with this place at all now. Shameful.
