This is a great shop if you're okay with being told what tattoo you want. This was my very first tattoo, it was more than a year ago now, the thinking about the appointment still makes me upset. It was done by Erik VonCobra, I wanted a memorial piece for my grandmother in the form of a bird she had, but Erik decided it was a pet memorial piece and what he says goes. When he showed me the stencil I noticed a few things looked wrong and I mentioned them, but was brushed off, told "oh yeah I'll fix that" and then promptly forgotten. I don't know if this was his first attempt at tattooing a bird, but it looks a mess and I'm seeking removal options. I never felt as though I could return to the shop for help because, why would he care now?

I got a tattoo done by Kristen a little while ago which I love and a friend of mine saw it and was wondering if Wolf Sheep is wheelchair accessible. I am fully aware that their main entrance is a flight of stairs but for all I knew there could be a service elevator or something. I stood in Wolf Sheep for about 10 minutes until finally this guy with tattoos all over his head (Brian?) comes over and our conversation went like this: "Hey, I was wondering if you guys are wheelchair accessible?" "Does it look like we're wheelchair accessible." Then he just walked away from me. It was extremely rude and I'm pretty sure I'm not going back due to this and the fact that my appointment was double booked and had to be rescheduled even though I was already sitting there waiting to be tattooed.

Had the most awkward tattoo consult of my life. Actual artist in question that I wanted to talk to about a cover-up had an emergency, and didn’t cancel my appointment so his apprentice had to do it. She seemed wholly disinterested, told me I had to leave a deposit to get an appointment, and then didn’t want to give me a receipt for my deposit (which was half cash, have debit) until prompted by another artist. After taking my deposit she told me I’d have to contact the artist over Instagram to get my appointment, and then texted me the next day to let me know the artist in question didn’t even want to do my piece. just a weird, uncomfortable interaction that makes me never want to set foot in this shop again.

My sister and I recently went in for an appointment with James at Wolf Sheep. It was one of multiple visits to James for me and I was as impressed by his work and knowledge of the trade, as I was previous with the other times he has done ink for me. My sister was having her first tattoo done and James was very detailed and thorough in his explanations of what to expect , the science of it all and the after care. His bedside manner is second to none and his creativity knows no boundaries. Go see this guy, have a few laughs and enjoy your new piece of art. Well worth the experience.

Little disappointed with job I had done. Artist did not listen to what I wanted and refused to use the colors I preferred. In the end, the lines I find to be far too thick and it just wasn't what I showed him in the picture. I also feel like taking 20-30 minutes to set up and also taking a 15 minute smoke break should not be charged as working time.

There is no ink too complicated for the gang at Wolfsheep to complete. Head in to this place! Strongly recommend. Usually aren’t booked longer than a week ahead. Sometimes they can even do your work right then and there if you are willing to get it done!

Great atmosphere over at WolfSheep, both times I've been I left genuinely impressed and satisfied. I've only had work done on me by Erik, and man can he get it done. Easy to communicate with (he gave me his personal number so we can shoot messages back and forth) and when it comes time to put needle on skin, the guy is a cyborg. He must have been born with a tattoo gun in his hand because he works so flawlessly in such a short period of time, it's spooky. Both times I got black tattoos with outline and shading, the communication was super simple, we easily changed things according to my liking and his professional opinion. I poked around town trying to get quotes on price and time, and Erik did exactly what I wanted in half the time other professional tattoo artists quoted. That's not to say it was at the expense of quality. The lines are sharp, the shading is perfect, it's all there. Check him out

Very happy and impressed with the amazing artwork James has done for me! He was good at welcoming me and he let me know everything beforehand. He also gave me an accurate answer on the time duration/pricing and helpful after care tips. In terms of the atmosphere, it was very spacious and comfortable. James and the other staff members were very chill and funny yet professional. It was very entertaining to talk to them while I was getting tattoo'ed on for a long time and they definitely did not make my experience boring. Overall, I think the owner is very lucky to have all the staff members that work at Wolfsheep as they are all amazing and genuine people. I've been having a full arm piece done at WS. Every time I go in, the atmosphere is fun and relaxed, with no egos or attitude that is found in other shops in Victoria. My artist was unbelievable in taking my general ideas for a tattoo and transferring that into a beautiful piece of art that I get to wear on my body. At every turn I am struck by what a great experience this is over the other tattoo shops I've been to. If you're looking for a solid tattoo in Victoria, you cannot do better than Wolfsheep!

I ended up getting the wrong tattoo because my guy didn’t confirm with me which tattoo I wanted. He still hasn’t responded to my message concerning this issue after a week. I’ve had maybe 20 tattoos done in all sorts of shops and this was my least favourite experience. I enjoy one on one conversation with the artist and a quiet atmosphere so this place really wasn’t for me. If you like a loud And upbeat atmosphere you will probably like It more than I did. The price was good at least. Although I’m definitely not going back

This was my second tattoo, so I was still nervous/unsure about how everything would go, but Dave absolutely crushed it. I had an idea of what I wanted but no design or drawing to go off of...Dave was able to take that idea and make it into something so perfect. My whole experience at the shop was great. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming, everyone chatted and joked throughout the whole two hours, it felt like hanging with friends. They really care about their clients and their experience, as well as being amazing at what they do. The quality of Dave's work is exceptional. I woke up this morning and my tattoo wasn't red, irritated, or bleeding. Needless to say, I can't wait to book back in to get another one. 10/10 would recommend. Victoria has a lot of tattoo shops...so save yourself the time/research and just book in with Dave/Wolf Sheep.

Amazing experience here. The shop itself is beautiful and is a comfortable/welcoming environment to be in. The people are rad as heck, not only my artist, but all of the other artists made me feel so at home and at ease. Everyone was so very respectful and considerate of others and I appreciate that a lot, knowing I was surrounded by GOOD people. My piece itself is beautifully constructed and detailed. Getting tattooed by James was actually FUN? as he has the touch of an angel when tattooing. Best place to go to get stabbed a bunch in order to create art.

For my first tattoo experience I was let down by Wolfsheep. The space is well done and clean however my artist at the time, was unprepared and rushed. After being referred, the consultation went fine as i described what I was looking for. Upon emailing a rough draft I drew of what I was going for (although i am no artist), I was told I would not be able to see the drawing she would finalize until a few days before my appointment, however, the sketch was not even done upon my arrival to get the tattoo. Once she had finished the sketch (which had no modifications on her part in regards to proper proportions or sizing on my specific body) and after spending a large amount of time trying to figure out the proper placement I was approached by another employee who rudely disregarded my concerns of placement. After this I was rushed when she had mentioned another appointment coming up soon after mine. In the end I settled for the tattoo and have been seeking removal options for it, where other artists have looked at it and agreed that the sizing, shape, and proportions of the tattoo were poorly done. Overall a dissatisfying and unprofessional experience for a 1st tattoo.

Went in for a simple tattoo design and the “artist” spent less than 10 min on it. No attention to detail. To the point of where the other artists were even shocked that such a minimal amount of time was spent on it. Even my most ridiculous tattoos I have, have better detail than what I received at wolfsheep from Andrew R. Stevie Wonder could’ve done a better job. Save your money and avoid at all costs.
