Cohen is the best tattoo artist in Victoria. I searched far and wide for someone to not only cover an old tattoo, but transform it into something new and spectacular - and he exceeded my wildest expectations. I now carry a work of art that will astound people (and myself!) for years and years. Downside: expect a months-long waiting list. He's a one-man shop and he's in very high demand. Trust me when I say it's worth the wait. This is not the place to go if you're looking for something quick and small (you can find that anywhere without the wait). This is where you go when you're looking for that major project you've been thinking of - sleeve, full/half back piece, etc. There's a reason why he has at least one international rockstar as a repeat client...this is the real deal. Bonus: he only charges while the needle is running and he won't nickle and dime you.

I have a number of tattoos from various artists. My experience with Cohen has not only been the best by far, but has exceeded all expectations. I heard about his work from a friend that had some ink done. after looking into him a bit more, I could see his style was perfect for the Mandala sleeve I wanted to have done before my wedding (this April). As soon as i emailed him, his professionalism and attention to detail became clear from the automated email responses he sends out. I was put on quite a long waiting list (due to high demand for his work), however i did receive a response right away and we built a plan to have the piece completed for my wedding. After speaking with him I was comforable and confident in the quality of service I would be receiving, I even travelled down from Kelowna each of the 4 appointment sittings. It may seem a bit crazy on my part but his work and the wait was worth every penny, I would do it again in a heart beat. He makes you feel at home and comfortable during each appointment. He truly cares about the well being of his clients, while upholding the best level of service and quality. I'm looking forward to sharing pictures of his beautiful work on my wedding day! Top notch tattoo studio and artist. Very accommodating and understanding. Cohen, the tattoo artist, has a great taste in music and the music is soothing and peaceful unlike other parlors I've been to where they blast heavy metal and rap, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it can be overwhelming. The music lulls me into a sleepy mood and I can easily sleep through the threw hour sessions and not feel like it's taking forever. I commissioned a full sleeve and shoulder blade piece from him and he's delivered. Coloring still needs to be done but the overall design is very good and I am very pleased with his work. Currently he is focused on three main areas of tattooing. Japanese (or Japanese inspired) pieces, Traditional American/Neo-Traditional imagery, and geometric/mandala inspired work. It's a shame he had to move from Vancouver to Victoria as the trip takes a bit of planning in advance but he's managed to keep the same feel and cozy feel as his old studio. Overall, very happy with this place.

Just want to share the experience that I had with Cohen @ Paradigm Tattoo. This was my first tattoo and I was impressed from the start with Cohen's process, professionalism, and the atmosphere he produces in the studio. Anyone can look through Cohen's portfolio and quickly see that he produces top notch, highly refined pieces day after day. Each session was productive, and I found myself eagerly awaiting the next one. Very easy personality to get along with. Overall I could not rate my experience @Paradigm any higher. If I could give more stars I would. I never review anything, so the fact I am doing this speaks volumes! After my first session doing the outline I booked him for a leg sleeve next year.
