I've got two Fly the Cage tattoos, and we're working on a third! The studio features exceptional artists who create truly amazing one-of-a-kind designs. The studio itself is bright and clean and full of natural light and really positive, professional people who make you feel welcome and totally comfortable. I love the location in Fernwood Square right across from the Belfry. Easy to find, central location. I recommend Fly the Cage to everyone! 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Fly the Cage Tattoo Studio is a breath of fresh air—it's a bright, white space and very clean. I'm so used to tattoo studios being dingy, black, red, and usually overwhelming and intimidating. The opposite is true with Fly the Cage. Each of the artists here are so talented and very friendly. I am now the proud owner of the most beautiful custom-designed tattoo of my cat thank you to Zara Leaf. If you're considering this studio, don't think twice! I'd recommend it to anyone. I can't say enough about Zara! She was patient, listened and really understood what I wanted, took all my reference pictures, and came up with an incredible drawing. Then when it came time to put it on skin, I was absolutely blown away by the precision of her lines, the care of her colour blending and saturation. She also put in a marathon 8 hour day on me, and never lost focus or attention to detail. She is an incredible artist! I recently had a tattoo consultation with Lauren and when I arrived nobody was there. I had confirmed with her a couple days before as well. I stayed and waited out in the cold for a bit waiting to see if anyone would show up. Then a man who takes care of the whole plaza there saw me and decided to call the owner for me. He talked to her and she knew I had been waiting outside. I decided to leave a voice message as well kindly telling them I was waiting outside and that I had to be somewhere else in an hour. I still have not had anyone call me back to apologize or explain to me what had happened. I think that is very unprofessional for a business to do that. I waited in the freezing cold for 20 minutes and they can't even do a simple phone call to explain to me what happened. I'm very unimpressed and shocked how unprofessional that was that. I will not be going back there.

I had a wonderful experience working with Ren Hobbs at Fly the Cage for the colourful hermit crab tattoo I got on the back of my arm. I loved her passion for art and her work turned out really outstanding! Even though I had to lay in an uncomfortable position to get my tattoo done she was great at making me as comfortable as possible and I was very happy with the results. A nice, clean and quiet shop in a really nice area. 10/10 would go there again for my next one!

I am fortunate to have two of her paintings hanging in my home as well as a stunning half sleeve that she brilliantly designed especially for me.
