Took my friend for her first pirecing (I have quite a few) and the service was great. Piercer was knowledgeable and professional, did a great job with the piercing. Only problem I had is the piercer said she didn't have to clean it, which I had never heard before as aftercare. I would have rated 5 stars had the piercer given better aftercare instructions than what she got. (The aftercare was 'dont touch it and you're good'.)

My friend and I came in today (me to get my navel re-pierced after 6 months and her to get a second nose piercing). First of all, walk in and were greeted super warmly by Lexci! The place smelled and looked super clean and had a sweet set up. Lexci explained the procedure and got us hooked up with paperwork and helped us pick some jewellery. Then after a really thorough sterilization of my bellybutton and the new jewellery, Lexci was able to tell in 2 seconds that my old piercing was too deep and quite crooked and said she'd fix it!! The piercing itself was quick and painless, and Lexci made us feel like old friends. Super knowledgable, super kind, and a great selection of jewellery. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and am considering going back to ask them to do another tattoo for me this year!! Thanks so much Lexci :)

Brought my child here to have their ears pierced after being referred by the wonderful staff at Atomic Zombie. They staff member who pierced my child's ears was extremely patient, gentle, and kind. They respected my child's autonomy and not only talked to my child directly as they explained every step of the process and aftercare, they also used very clear trauma informed consent practices to ensure my child felt empowered by their decision to pierce their ears. Could not recommend Red Loon more highly.

Went to Lexci today for a jewelry change because another piercing place did a botched job on a nose jewelry changeout for me, and I am over the moon happy with how I was treated at Red Loon today! I went in so nervous and with so much pain in my nose and I immediately felt like I could trust Lexci, she was so incredibly kind through the entire process and made sure I was completely comfortable. My new stud looks amazing, and she did absolutely everything to make it as easy as possible for me (as someone who faints from needles, I didn’t feel the slightest bit afraid today). Honestly I was hesitant due to some Google reviews but my wife really wanted to check out the shop as she had some work by the owner in the past (before this shop opened) and insisted we give it a try. I'm so glad that we went here. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable to the point where our small talk was about technicalities of tattooing. And one thing I really liked was everyone seemed very humble. We were there for a couple hours and recieved work from two different artists. Then the piercing girl helped my wife pick out some new jewelry for her piercings. Red Loon was one of the best experiences I've had at a shop (I've tried ~6) and I would definitely recommend it to any friends/family looking for piercing or tattoos. Based on what I saw I believe the negative reviews are spam; shop was extremely clean, no one working seemed like a tweaker, and it was an all around great atmosphere.

I got a double conch piercing on my left ear with my best friend. First off, customer service is AMAZING. I can’t remember the name of the girl who gave us the forms to fill out, but she was soooo kind to us and chatted with us a little bit. As well the tattoo artists there are super funny and fun to be around!!! And they’re very very serious about their chia pudding!! Lexci, the piercer, helped us pick out the jewelry and even made suggestions (which I really like) so I ended up with a 2mm and 2.5mm white opals, because she thought them being staggered would look really cool (totally right!), and she helped my best friend figure out what she even wanted ! Not only did lexci pierce my double conch she also changed out my industrial and nostril piercings to shorter bars. The piercing of my first conch was a little rough, but the second one went a lot smoother. She kept me calm and was overall an awesome and fun person. Really loved my first piercing experience with Red Loon. I’ll definitely be coming back for my future piercings!!! And I will recommend this to all my friends

He was great to work with - very open and honest. He provided us with information on how our tattoos could be made a little more unique as well as advice on sizing and placement. We were able to book in to have our tattoos done the following day! Clark did a great job and made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. I'd definitely recommend going to see him for your tattoo needs!! The staff all seemed very friendly and the studio is very clean, easy to find and there is free parking in the parking lot right next to the building!

AMAZING, as usual! After many, many weeks of my hemming and hawing I finally got my vertical labret piercing by Michelle. She was SUPER patient and professional in answering all my emails, phone calls and finally even more questions when I got to the shop. Through it all, Michelle never came across as rushing me through so she could get to the next client. When she got the part where she marked up my lip then had me look at it in the mirror, I felt a lovely shift from fear of the pain into elation at the final result. Well, it came out BEAUTIFULLY. I came right on time for my piercing appt and ended up waiting an hour! It’s as if my time wasn’t very important. And on top of that I was charged 40$ more than what I was told on the phone which was a big deal because I drove 20 min out of my way when I could’ve just went to the place 5 minutes away and saved the gas money. I didn’t choose any fancy bigger jewelry pieces either, just small and more basic. The piercer did do a good job and was fast when actually piercing but the cons out weigh the pros for me so I unfortunately won’t be back. *Would like to add in response to the owner is that I had a later appointment so it was actually rather dead so there were definitely no children. And I do appreciate the reply but alas, telling somebody a different price and charging them alot more is a big no no. I mean this in the most respectful way possible, but I'd perhaps go over prices with the employees so it doesn't happen to anybody else. I can understand if a client was told prices weren't 100% but I was not. Thank you

I made an appointment with Red Loon's resident piercer, Michelle, to have a look at my philtrum (upper lip) piercing, which was initially done at a different studio over 10 years ago. I had become concerned after my own efforts to remove my philtrum jewelry were unsuccessful. I had never been to the shop before, but the owner Lexci is somewhat of a legend in the piercing/tattoo community, so I knew I'd be in good hands at Red Loon. My concerns were soon brought to fruition, as Michelle was also unable to locate the jewelry post and remove it. It appeared that the cheap jewelry I had opted to insert had become somehwat imbedded in my upper lip. Michelle called in Lexci to assist, who, with her expertise and gentle poking/prodding, was able to locate and remove the post from my upper lip. I received the appropriate amount of scolding from Lexci and Michelle for putting cheap jewelry in my face. It was an important lesson which I've since taken to heart. After letting my lip settle for a day, I was able to insert new (and much better quality) jewelry into my philtrum. Thanks again to the girls for their upmost professionalism and stellar service, and ultimately saving my favorite piercing from myself!

Very clean! Very excellent! I got a tattoo here recently and Red Loon is very superior compared to the majority of tattoo shops in Edmonton. The staff is very knowledgeable about the products they are using, they make you feel comfortable, and they are easy to get along with. It has a very relaxed atmosphere while maintaining a good level of professionalism. I would highly recommend going here or, at the least, stopping by to check it out.

So here’s the deal. I like American traditional tattoos. I had a design to use as a reference and went in to an other shop to talk with them about what they could do with it. The guy there looked at what I wanted and said he know who could do a great job with it. Funny thing is is that the artist worked at a different shop. He sent me to Red Loon to see David. I was surprised that someone would send business somewhere else so I figured there must be something to it. He was right. David did a get job with what I wanted. I’m really happy with how it turned out. Even stopped by the other shop to show him David’s work and thank him for sending me to Red Loon. Getting David to draw up another one for me and really excited to see what he comes up with. Also saw the work of a couple of the other artists while I was there and I was impressed by all of there work. I my option, you can’t go wrong by going there. They are all very good at what they do.

Brought my daughter in for a nose piercing, on January 3rd, 2017. Turned out amazing! Decided to bring her back in for a bellybutton piercing, a couple of weeks ago. Lexci, our piercer, checked out the site and explained to my daughter that she could and would pierce her bellybutton BUT, there was like an 80-85% chance that the piercing would migrate and grow out because my daughter has little to no body fat (she’s an athlete).. the effect would be scarring and high possibility of not being able to repierce. My daughter asked lots of questions and Lexci was patient with her. In the end, my daughter decided to pass and wait a couple of years, then try again. There’s a lot of places that would take the money and run, but here, the clients best interests are put first. This is why we keep coming back! Thank you for your amazing service!

This was the first shop I’ve been at that had open concept. I was a little nervous at first about not being in our own room but after hanging out with the Red Loon crew while Clark was finishing up my stencil, I was put right at ease. We watched a couple movies, they fed me yummy snacks and we had a lot of laughs. Pretty sure we even had a bit of a sing off...
