I've been to a few different shops around the city and always felt judged, uncomfortable, or that it wasn't worth the time to get to know me. Fortunately, I discovered Goodfellas Ink. Literally as soon as you walk in the door you feel welcome, and the vibe is so chill. David Moss has been working on my sleeve and every time I come in I have such a great experience. He was excited with me about my ideas, brought my vision to life (plus more!), and makes me feel like a valued customer. Everyone in the shop is so friendly and supportive of each other, which makes for a great experience for me as it seems like everyone's been involved in the development of my sleeve haha. Plus, the work is amazing. I honestly have people come up to me in the most random places asking if they can take a better look at it or tell me how awesome it is. Coming to Goodfellas Ink has been the best decision I've made and I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Clean shop. Front staff is "aware" and friendly. Went for a walk in, artists were with clients so had a half an hour wait. Kira worked with me for another 20 minutes or so to find the right script. She was very friendly and did not make me feel like she was rushed even though it was quitting time. Great artist, least painful tattoo I've gotten, quick, crisp lines and, she wasn't obviously annoyed with my need for chit chat. Will go to her again when the mood hits me. Great prices too. $100 min.

Fantastic people, excellent systems and modern tattoo guns, and very clear instructions via email to get a tattoo done. I emailed on short notice and they opened on the Monday as I left town on the Tuesday and had no openings. Staff are very very accommodating and welcoming can't thank Johnny enough for doing a stellar job. If anyone is looking a sweet place for an awesome tattoo with excellent rates (150 an hour) this is your place to go, and the tattoo guns are relatively painless compared to the old loud guns. Once again thank you guys for being so accommodating 10/10 for the staff friendliness, shop, and overall experience!

I had a fantastic time getting tattooed at the second Goodfellas Ink location by Johnny De! I got a Jason Voorhees realism piece on my calf almost five months ago and it healed beautifully. Johnny really took his time and made sure to check with me a couple times to see how I was doing and if I liked how it was looking so far. The actual studio was very clean and sterile and just a lovely atmosphere. The staff were good company and talked to me throughout my time there (besides when I was actually getting tattooed). I definitely recommend Goodfellas to anyone who wants an amazing realism piece or any piece for that matter! Talented artists, a clean environment and just a really good time :)

I got a tattoo here in March 2016 by David. He did a good job, but the prices here are a little much. I paid $550 for a stencil. It took him about 4 1/2 hours to complete it. Not sure if he was just taking his time or what, but I have had friends who got similar tattoos for alot cheaper considering mine were only printed out roses. I wouldnt return because of the price being so high, but he did do a good job and I do still recommend David if you are looking for detailed work.

In late August, I decided to get a tattoo from David Moss. Initially, he was friendly and gave me a nice impression, so silly me, I put a deposit down. I met with once before getting the tattoo done to discuss what I wanted. He spent 10 minutes with me, without doing a formal drawing (which is what EVERY tattoo artist should do for you!). Mind you, this was my first tattoo and I did not know what to expect, and what was profession/wasn't professional. Speed up to the day of the tattoo - David shows up a few minutes late without even a drawing or anything. He planned on drawing a font out for me initially, but he was so rushed on the day of that he went onto a font website and had me choose something there (red flag!) He quickly photoshopped the tattoo images together, clearly in a big rush. After he stenciled it on, I saw that the font was far too small and would most definitely blurr in a matter of a few years. I asked if it could be larger and he lost it on me. He claimed: "You don't even seem to want this tattoo. I don't want to tattoo you today if you can't even make up your mind." Then stormed off to adjust it. Long story short - do you think I have a nice tattoo? No. I need to get a cover up done or get it lasered off. It's embarrassing, looks terrible, has no flow to it, and wasn't what I wanted. It's sad that I trusted David Moss to put a nice tattoo on me but he really didn't care at all how I felt leaving the shop. The images he has on his profile are far too good - no guarantees they're even his! Learn from my mistake and consider yourself warned!!!

In the past I have had great experience with this studio, and the artist I went to did excellent work. However, I recently lost a $200 deposit due to a misunderstanding in an email I sent. I strongly suggest more detailed instructions given to customers on how to word a "request to reschedule" that is not an actual cancellation. Learning from my situation, I don't want to see anyone else lose their deposit based on the "interpretation" of an email or voicemail. I love the artists and staff, but strongly disagree with the decision of the owner to not consider the intention of my inquiry, but rather, point the finger at the artist and staff. The owner is ultimately responsible for the actions of the artists and the staff. I lost a lot of respect for the owner, seeing how they dealt with my situation. Disappointment aside, I look forward to getting more ink done by this studio and DO recommend them to others based on the caliber of the work these professionals produce.

I made the mistake of going here a lot when I was younger and didn’t know the difference between high quality tattoos and low quality. This place is low quality. Every tattoo I have gotten here needs to be fixed, I’ve got tattoos from them that have bled under my skin, crooked ones, and horribly faded ones only after 2 months. I forget her name but it was a woman who did most of them. I’ve never had this problem with any other tattoos. I wish I knew then what I know now. Instead I’m full of regret and bad tattoos. Thankfully I have great artists now working to fix their mistakes, but it’s a lot of money down the drain because they couldn’t get it right the first time.

Went in to see Johnny De to get a tattoo that would be about my sons and when they were born. From the moment I met Johnny and looking at his Art Work and Tattoo Work I was excited. I told him the things I wanted on my tattoo and the rest gave him artistic freedom as I genuinely seen his work and knew it was going to be amazing. Super awesome to work with, very clean and professional and you can tell he strives for excellence and wants to ensure that you are happy with his work. He must have checked in with me 3 or 4 different times to ensure we were both happy with the design before we got going. First tattoo and I sat there for 5 hours while Johnny worked and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The staff there are all amazing and I now only recommend this spot and Johnny. When the tattoo healed, no scabbing, no peeling, no nothing. Amazing aftercare recommendations and they were fun and friendly to deal with. I don’t know how Johnny is going to top this on our next visit but I’m excited to keep going. Make an appointment with Johnny and trust me when I tell you it’s worth the wait. Thanks again

We found Kira online while searching through the reviews. That's what made us call. Our first call, to another tattoo biz ended when the receptionist was confusing and rude. It made us uneasy, so we moved on. We were able to get in the next day and it was more than satisfactory! 2 of us got 2 tatts a piece. She was professional and proficient. Had a horrible tattoo from atomic zombie that was skillfully covered up by David. He didnt have much to work with but pulled a very nice coverup. Only reason they get one star is because they kept my husband Deposit. He left a voicemail to reschedule because we just had a newborn baby. No one called us back. And when my husband called on friday. They said they left a message for us on thurs that the appt was still on... we did not get our deposit back of $200.. what a waste of money. I had my first tattoo today, with Kira H at Goodfella's on 118th/97th. I went in not really knowing what to expect, just knowing what I wanted and that needles tend to make me faint. Kira (and the rest of the staff, too) was super accommodating and patient. Her 'bedside manner' is perfect for beginners and I can't thank her enough. Oh, and the tattoo is super cute too - exactly what I wanted and beautifully done.

The lines are trash and I am embarrassed to show my family and friends. I even went back and the artist would not fix it or even work with me in any way. Overbooked me, staff was rushed. Said they'd do the design the day of which I should've refused right away as a bad sign. Quickly drew up my design, hasty composition so it wasn't evenly spaced. Ended up being crooked, they told me it wasn't really possible to make an arm band straight, but I'm pretty sure they were just hurrying, they should've measured my arm and taken that into the design. Overall felt like they didn't really care about doing a good job for me, I'm really disappointed in my tattoo, which is a horrible feeling. I'll be going to a different artist to try and fix it. My artist was David, the other one star review was with him as well. It sucks because he seemed like a pretty chill dude, but he didn't seem to want to put in the effort and care to do it properly, and now it's on my skin forever. I should've refused and been more discerning, but I trusted the artist.

My friend and I booked an appointment to come in and do a gumball machine get what you get tattoo for 12:30 on November 23rd. We drove from an hour and 15 minutes to come to this appointment. To be told when we got there that they are running late because they are squeezing in a consultation and he’d be ready in 20 minutes, so we left and came back to see that the person who should of been tattooing us was NOT doing a consultation but TATTOOING SOMEONE ELSE, instead of telling us the truth when we got there the receptionist decided to lie to us about the situation. 10/10 do not recommend going here.

Was a good shop while my artist was there David Moss who I highly recommend. But I do not recommend this shop I messaged them looking to get some work done for my sister by him and they told me they would check it over with him and get back to me. They never got back to me this was in February of this year and they never got back to me I understand now he no longer works there. But has his own shop now but would have been nice if I was gotten back to and let know that he wasnt there but they could help me but no. I have other work done by other artists in the shop and I like all my work done but it's not okay to not get back to a regular customer. Also I changed my star rating from 5 to 2 because I was a regular customer almost coming in monthly to see other artists and unfortunately customer service is eveything and ignoring my message I felt to be rude and I didn't change the rating because one of the artist I saw left very unfortunate.

Had a session with David moss 1 month ago, work he did didn’t turn out to well, when I asked him about touch ups he said looked like he’d pretty much have to go over the entire session I paid 680$ So I’d have to pay for it twice over witch doesn’t make sense to me, I was under the impression that there is touch up in my opinion he doesn’t take pride in his work more concerned about pocketing the cash lol, also thought it was very funny that he told me to make sure I brought cash on the Sunday he did the work im assuming to he could pocket it all without paying the shop.

Wow, I don't think I've ever been to a shop that treated the clients so well. After missing a conversation with my artist I drove over an hour up there for my appointment. Only to find out my artist was moving that day and had tried to reschedule Well, my embarrassment, but another artist was quick to take over. Had me give her a design and she got it up and on my leg. It turned out wonderfully, although, because I'm a wimp, it still needs colour. Still, I have never been treated better. I can't believe how much the shop went above and beyond to make sure I left happy and with ink. So very pleased
