I got my belly pierced today! George I’m pretty sure lol, did it and he made me feel very comfortable. Also the lady at the front desk was super nice I love her. But I was nervous to get a man to do my belly piercing, but he made me feel so comfortable and we had a good talk during the piercing. I really respect how clean it was and how much repercussions he took before doing my piercing. For sure coming for another tattoo or piercing!!!

I've had 2 of my tattoos done here and they both turned out amazing, the artists here do great work. Making small talk, letting me take a little break when I was getting my larger piece done and was feeling overwhelmed. The prices are fair too, I was expecting to pay a lot more for the piece I got done especially with how large it was. I didn't have any cash on me to tip but I definitely left a nice tip on card. I also had an issue with my nose ring not going into my nose even though it had been pierced for a few years at that point. The piercer I asked was a little snobby and wouldn't really answer my question of why it was happening basically just said to do this and it will work, well it did work but it would have been kind of nice to know why it suddenly stopped going in the usual way or if he didn't know to simply say he wasn't sure. It was a bit rude in my opinion so I probably wouldn't get any piercings done here but I'll definitely be back here for future tattoos.

When I went in for my second helix (just about three years ago) the manager had put in too small of a ring so it cut off the circulation in the top of my ear and it swelled up and was purple and then after seeing it after taking it out and realizing it wasn't infected, they told me that it was my fault. Plus they had me wait about 2hrs in the waiting room (no one else was in there by the way) and then they took it out and charged me to take it out too. Now like I said this was a few years ago so things could've changed over there by now. But it was bad enough that I would never want to go back.

The piercing guy is extremely cocky, rude and entitled. I went in because I couldn't get my earring off after 8 weeks and it was bothering me. After explaining my situation and concerns to the piercer he raised his voice at me infront of other customers and told me I was taking care of my earrings all wrong, he was really entitled, high on himself and didn't even try to listen to my concerns but then kept telling me I wasn't listening to him. Honestly If i could give the guy a -5 stars I would because in what universe does a customer with a concern want to be yelled at for expressing it?

AMAZING : I am from wainwright Ab and was looking for a place over there to get my tattoo done before feb 24th cause I got my cancer diagnosis that date last year. I came in at FX without any appointment and they told me to come back at 13h 30. One hour and a half later I got my tattoo from the Artist "Bird". Not sure about his name. But I am very happy and I was very very surprise about the price. They are very professional and sensitive. I recommend this place!!!! Thank you so much ????

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon with mom and niece to get pierced. There was only a 5 min wait to get in and the staff was wonderful! Answered all of our questions and they were so friendly! I went to the store to purchase 4 earrings for my lobes (I have 5 holes that are well over 20 years since they were pierced and I have zero allergies); spent $270 on studs. Within 24 hrs my ears were swollen and bleeding. I phoned to discuss the issue and even before explaining to the receptionist my problem she rudely said “We don’t do returns”. When I spoke to the man who swapped my earrings he advised I come in so he could look at them. I explained to him that I had to remove the earrings as they were causing me so much physical discomfort, but you could tell my ears were swollen and there was fresh blood in all 4 holes where he put in new ones. After he inspected my ears he said he had trouble believing me and from what he remembered my ears were already red when he swapped my earrings (yet he needed to be reminded of who I was over the phone and yet again when I returned to the store). He said I must have an allergy – yet I was wearing the exact same stud in my lobe on my 5th hole that he didn't touch. The “best” he offered as compensation was $50 store credit for the purchase of more jewelry. I am furious. I basically spent $270 at this store to be made to feel like a liar and a criminal when the truth is I’ve been ripped off. If I could give a -5 star review I would. Worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. I will never shop here again and advise others to avoid it.

I just got an nose piercing here today and I cant say thanks enough for how great of an experience you guys have always given me. Me and my fiance have gotten multiple piercings here and they have all been great and turned out amazing. Very professional and explain and walk you through the procedures of how they are going to pierce you, aftercare, and how to remove the jewlery in case of emergency. Went to this place for a walk-in, maybe it's my fault I decided to live in the moment. I went in, and the store was dead, should have been sign number one not to get a tattoo there, but of course I was too excited to see otherwise. As soon as I entered, the girl at the counter treated me as if I was following her around her entire life trying to make her miserable at any given opportunity, tried to tell me to come back tomorrow when it was relatively early in the day, as I said maybe it's my fault I just went in without an appointment. The tattoo artist was sitting on his phone and as soon as I said I wanted to get it done now he looked at me as if I was the annoying kid in school who knew and talked too much, his body language was just screaming "not this kid again" even though he has never even met me, he rolled his eyes because i was a paying customer who wanted his business but for some reason he didn't wanna make the 170 bucks with tip he was going to make in the half hour I was there for a small finger tattoo. I show him two pictures of the piece I wanted(honestly really wasn't that complicated) so I sit through it yadadada finish it, I'm excited, but also uncomfortable because I feel as if I ruined everybody's day deciding to walk in with how negative I felt I was being treated, then he finishes it, okay first tattoo I'm pumped, my dogs pumped, pet goldfish is pumped, these people can't drag me down(though even my gf noticed how the artist really wasn't thrilled I wanted a tattoo on the spot). I go back home, my sister points out how well it wasn't done, i didn't notice nor care because I was on cloud 9 because I was the new badass bi*** on the block with the finger tat. That was about 8 months ago now, the tattoo is done completely wrong, the top of it isn't shaped properly, on the bottom it's supposed to have two points and both points on the bottom are shaped wrong and colouring has been uneven on both points since day 1. I've been in Edmonton 5 times since and every time I walk pass that place I get flashbacks from my entire experience there. I feel as if I have i have minor PTSD because I have trust issues now in regards to ever getting another tattoo ever again in my entire life. If an artist messes up something so simple, how am I suppose to feel about getting a sleeve at some point? For any person reading this, I do encourage you to go look at their Facebook, they have a lot of nice work done, realism especially I thought was done really good. And most of the reviews seem to be relatively positive. If you go here and choose to go here i do believe you'll be treated better than I was, and your tattoo will be done a lot better. I will never come here again due to such an awful experience but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. In response to the owner: my girlfriend has a fresh photo of the tattoo the day after I got it, the tattoo simply wasn't done properly, as I said the shaping was off on the top point and two bottom points, instead of the two bottom points pointing diagonally they actually go horizontal. It's not a big deal, it's a memento to my mom, so no matter how it looks it's still special to me. The girl nor the artist never stated that the design of it would change, it was just the fact that they didn't seem interested in my business, which was fine. I thank you for your response though.

I came here to get my nose done about 6 months ago. I love it! I’m only 13 I got it done for my birthday so the price wasn’t a problem for me. I went in a month or two ago and asked to get it switched out for a new one. I had to pay for it this time and had less than $50 in my bank account. I saw some cute studs for less than that but the ones the people steered me towards were over $100. I ended up just getting the bar switched but I want a new look. What is your cheapest jewelry?

This was one of the worst experiences I've had to endure. Ryan was my artist, I was not given any information about the appointment or how the piece itself would go. I sent him my reference photos a week before hand thinking that he was coming up with his own original idea with some of the photos I had. When I got there, he didnt have any of my photos, i had to spend 20mins sending them all to him again, He refused to draw anything or change the drawing i had picked, I was almost forced to rebook, I had to basically fight with him about placement because 'he thought it would better a certain way. so i have someones exact art from pinterest on my body. The lines don't add up, the drawing was uneven, and he blew out my skin on the entire tattoo. I was not even given any tips on after care or anything. I have never felt less of a person or like my opinion did not matter when it was in regards to MY body DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR EXACT PIECE PICKED OUT!!

This place is a rip off because they told me i had to give them 150 deposit then I'll get it back once I did my appointment. I did my appointment to get one small symbol on my right shoulder it only took the guy 30 min to complete it. So I went out to pay it and they said 160.....so I said keep my deposit and I'll pay the difference lol the crooks said that's on top of the deposit. I was so stupid to pay it and it's a few years later now and every time I look at the tattoo and all the other shops had told me how much they would have charged makes me hate this place so I just wanna warn anyone to watch out for theses guys

I can't say enough about my experience at FX in West Edmonton Mall. I went there to get my first ever nose ring this past weekend. Melina was at the front desk and was super friendly, giving me advice and insight into my nose ring adventure, as she just had hers done 2 months prior. The owner, George, was there and answered all of my questions competently and calmly. He provided strong advice as to the side to choose, which gauge size would be best, how to perform aftercare, and how he ensures the piercing is done in a sanitary way. I felt so comfortable there and felt like my piercing was taken seriously. I'm sure they see so many body modifications in a day, but I didn't feel for a second that mine didn't matter to them. They fully appreciated that this will be something I have forever! The piercing has been doing well and feels great. George even offered (free of charge) to look at my mum's upper ear piercing location that had supposedly grown over, but simply needing a little coaxing to re-open. He got it open which we appreciated so much that we bought an earring for it right then and there. You'll have a great experience at FX in WEM!

The only reason I give it a one star was because my tattoo is crooked and now I'm screwed. Thirty tattoos and everyone done right. I let him free hand it. He said he will do it perfect and he didnt. It's on my hand, my wife and sons name made into a cross. He made some letters to small and a curved c. Now I'm stuck with it. The staff other than thus guy are great and I would have came back. They say they have nothing to do with dragon fx but there web site links to them so I just dont no. I would say stay away for tattoos. I have never even heard back from them and I left three messages so you decide.

Just got my nose and rook pierced by Milad and all I can say is if you’re looking for a true professional go to him! He’s very personable and makes you feel comfortable and like you’re not just another number through the door. He made an effort to show that everything had been sterilized and gladly answered any questions I had. For anyone who wants to get a nose piercing the pain is different for everyone, mine was a 2/10 and for my rook the pain was a 4/10. The jewelry is TOP GRADE and as someone who struggles with metal sensitivity when it comes to jewelry I have had no problems at all! I did a lot of research before I got either piercing done (on separate occasions) and I’m glad I decided to go here. I have endless good things to say about Milad and FX INC. 10/10 would recommend people come here to see Milad. I’ll definitely be back again!

I would advise however to read up on what you want and to be firm about it. Know whether you can use your own stuff or if you have to get it new. Otherwise, painless and enjoyable experience. As a first-timer, the service I received today wasn't reflective of the price I paid. The service wasn't horrible nor was it stellar. I called the shop this morning (being a Sunday) saying that this was my very first time getting a tattoo and that I wanted to book an appointment for the afternoon. They required a deposit to be paid over the phone via credit card. Unfortunately, my phone was about to die at the time of booking, so I asked if I could call at a later time when I was at home and my phone was sufficiently charged to provide my CC details. The receptionist said that wasn't a problem and that my appointment was penciled in. About an hour later, I called the shop twice ready to give my info with no answer; I left a message asking for someone to call me back. I called a third time and the receptionist said I could just come into the shop without securing a deposit since she was "really busy" at the front. She asked me what kind of tattoo I wanted. I said I wanted a small, black, four-character piece of text on my left bicep. She said she made a note of it. I asked for confirmation of their rates. I was advised $150 per hour which is standard. As soon as I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by a blonde woman who took my info/ID and asked me to sign a waiver. My appointment was set for 2:30pm and I waited 30 mins before I met the tattoo artist, Katie, since she was running a "little" behind. Meanwhile, the receptionists at the front appeared to have double-booked Katie with me and another person who was also waiting. I was repeatedly asked-at the same time-by both receptionists what tattoo I wanted and where. Here I am thinking that there was some mass miscommunication or that what was noted over the phone was never noted at all. I was then (unnecessarily) told three times to email my design to their email address. As they were trying to figure out the logistics of squeezing 2 people into one time slot, this resulted in a further wait time of about 10-15 mins until Katie started drawing up my design. Of course, this is the very thing I tried to prevent by calling in and booking in advance. The tattoo service itself was straightforward and didn't take much time. Katie seemed a little irritable and rushed while I was waiting for her to draw up the design. I felt more comfortable as I sat down in her chair while I waited for her to apply the stencil and prepare her tools. I was satisfied with how the tattoo turned out in the end; however, I wasn't pleased to find out that there was a minimum fee of $125 for any service that's under an hour. This was not communicated to me at any point prior to the appointment in person nor over the phone. There was also no indication of a minimum fee on their Facebook page last I checked, seeing as this appears to be the only website they have. Of course this was only conveniently brought to my attention while my bill was being rung up at the front as the receptionist smiled after she asked for my method of payment. I wouldn't mind paying that price if I received top-notch service and didn't have to wait nearly 45 mins for a tattoo that only took about 20-30 mins to do altogether. This shop seems to have no regard for creating valuable customer experiences of a subject that's so personal and permanent. Thankfully, I was satisfied with how my tattoo turned out for a simple design. If you're someone who likes no-frills, disorganized, and non-personable customer service with a steep price tag, then this shop might be up your alley. For anyone else or any first-timers, regardless of how simple or intricate your design is, I suggest you seek elsewhere.

We took our daughter here this past weekend to get her second lobe piercings for her birthday. Not only was the gentleman extraordinarily kind and soothing to her, but we took great comfort in how the environment was kept sterile. Before my wife and daughter went into the room, he had sprayed and wiped down everything - he was wearing gloves to do that. He took those gloves off and put on a new set to start the work.At one point, he needed to get something that required him to take those gloves off - he threw those away as well, and put on a third set. We were very impressed by the care he took to keep the entire environment clean, and the piercing job itself was stellar and my daughter really enjoyed the experience. We will absolutely be back.

I went with a friend to get her hood pierced and she went in as a walk in. They took her in right away and she was quite nervous as you can imagine. The owner George did the piercing, I have gone with many friends for tattoos and piercings and I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism, the cleanliness of the shop and mostly the in depth information that was provided. George knows his stuff, I learnt about the quality and care of my own piercings that I had not been provided with by other piercers. For my friends hood piercing I was allowed into the room and watched it take place again very professional, while answering all my questions from specific gage sizing to after care and everything in between. I will most definitely be coming to see George for any work I plan on in the future! I had done my nose piercing in Calgary with the gun and it was extremely painful and after a month it fell out because there was nothing inside the nose to hold it in place. Anyways I went to FX Inc to get a new one done. I was so scared but Candice was super patient with the explanation that it won't be painful at all and it's just few seconds. I was so scared that I kept telling her hold on but she was really nice and even though other clients were waiting. She kept telling me it's okay take your time. Eventually when she did it... it was super super easy and quick and nothing like the one in Calgary. It's been two days but I don't feel any pain unlike that of Calgary that I had pain for over a month and yes they have a hold on this one so it can't fall out. I will definitely recommend them because both Candice and the front desk person are really good.

went there to get my ear pierced. The piercing work is good and quick. But I do really feel upset about noticing that I was treated differently. While I waited there, I observed the staff were all smiling when they talking to the customers. But when it was my turn, the piercer never smiled, just showing a face that “shut up, I don’t wanna talk with you”. Out to the cashier, the gal was kind because she at least “smiled” once when talking to me. The only one guy who treated me with respect is the male receptionist, which I really appreciate. I am confused, my English is not bad at all, and I had always shown a friendly face, why I was treated that way. I am not accusing you of anything, I am just confused.

Brought my 10 month old daughter in to get her ears pierced a little over a week ago, and Miles was our piercer. I was very impressed with how clean their work area was, and how gentle he was with my daughter. She even wanted him to hold her after he was done piercing her! I had the pleasure of also talking to George, and he was more than happy to answer all the questions I had about sanitation, before we started. I've been getting my piercings done here since I was 14 and I'm 25 now! I always appreciate George's honest and professional opinions about what piercings would suit my face and ears - he saved my butt when I was 15 and wanted a facial piercing and I'm so glad I trusted him when he said no to it. Instead he helped me make a different choice and I'm glad 10 years later I don't have the scar I would've had from a monroe. I don't think I'd go anywhere else for piercings, all of the other staff I've been pierced by here have also been great. Keep in mind you get what you pay for in terms of quality when it comes to body mods. I'm not even sure it took me this long to write a review, but thanks FX for being my trusted go-to spot!

My friend and I both came here to get our ears pierced. We were hoping to get an industrial but George explained that neither of us had the anatomy for it. George was incredible and explaining other options for our ears and working around my current piercings. He listened to what I wanted and didn't try to push me any direction. I ended up getting a faux snug which worked with one of my current piercings. I would fully recommend getting pierced by George as I had an amazing experience.

The people here are very nice don't get me wrong but they definately don't do everything they're supposed to I had a friend get a piercing there and they charged him 80 bucks for it plus the expenses of the jewelry which makes sence but they didnt even provide him with the after care products needed or proper instructions to care for the piercing which they legally have to do I highly recommend orchid jewelers/ tattoo shop which is just around the corner they give alot better tips and actually provide you with the care products needed.. i also just noticed These guys aren't that professional at all!! if you go down in the reviews more you can litterally see the owner laughing at someones complaint about the store... that's some great customer service if you ask me????????‍♂️

I went in this evening and had both of my nipples pierced. Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. George was my piercer and he was absolutely the best ever! He made me feel at ease even though I was naked from the waist up with my nipples in his face????. I believe his years of experience really shine through with his professionalism in what could have been an akward situation. And on top of all this the piercings were hardly painful at all. I was prepared for the worst and was pleasantly surprised by a quick and easy piercing. If you're wanting a piercing and not sure where to go then George is the guy take it from me!
