I got my nose pierced. They had a 2 for 1 deal which was available to have another get a piercing with me. It seemed clean and they were careful with cleanliness. My experience was I didn't find it painful. They took my request for the piercing and gave me what I wanted. I wanted a nose piercing that wouldn't fall out.

This tattoo and piercing shop exceeded my expectations. I got my helix and upper lobes pierced by Leela and the service was beyond what I expected. She was so informative, funny, and so caring. It was such a pleasant experience that I actually came back a second time for a rook piercing, which was done by Madi. Again, I was not disappointed by my visit at Envy. Madi was also very attentive, fun, and answered any questions I had. If anyone's looking to get a piercing done, I would go to either of these ladies! They're both awesome.

If you want garbage jewelry that tarnishes then this is the place to get your piercings. I was told I was getting good quality jewelry, and paid well over 100$ for a hoop with jewels, to which turned blue, half the gems fell out and on top of that infected my new piercing.... Was told over Facebook message they would give me a new piercing of equal value, drove over 45 minutes to get to the shop to almost be laughed at because "I must not have purchased it there because we only sell costume jewelry worth 30$ not 100$ and its supposed to tarnish, because well its costume jewelry, and we most certainly will not just give you a new piercing of equal value for free". Went to Atomic Zombie and had WAY better service, with HIGH GRADE JEWELRY. No one was surprised my garbage jewelry was purchased there.

The staff are always kind and knowledgeable about their jobs and every piercing I've gotten there has healed perfectly and was peirced evenly and properly everytime, taking the utmost care in preparing and ensuring all the tools and jewelry are proper and sanitized and that the customer is happy with the placement before the piercing itself is actually done. I would recommend anyone wanting a piercing or needs some information about all types of body mods to go here everytime!

I am one of those "if you can't fit me in, I'm prob not going to do it" types of people. Envy was super accommodating for a person like me. I called earlier in the afternoon on a Thursday to see if I could pop in for a nostril piercing. Sure enough, Nat was available. I came in early, because I like being early, and it gave time for Nat and I to chat, and for him to measure my nostril piercing because I had one on the opposite side. Nat took his time, lined it up, and off we went. He's awesome. Highly recommend. Then, 9 days later, I got the urge for another piercing. I decided to get my steptum done. Call Envy, and got in right away. I mean, not bad for a last minute on a Saturday! I got to see Madi this time. Madi was amazing, and we chatted like we were old friends. In and out in a flash, and zero pain. Madi was also super gentle due to my new nostril piercing as well. You may think I came back due to the great nose cleanings they gave me, but it was definitely the shop, the people and the piercings.

Very disappointed. Went in for two small tattoos on my forearms, one quote and one sketch. I only ended up getting the quote because the artist kept drawing up a different sketch even though i drew it myself and wanted it exactly how i drew it. He also tried making it way bigger than i had asked for. The lines ended up falling out on the quote i got and he even made fun of me while doing the tattoo. He then said he would draw me up something and when i went to go see it at the time he stated, he was tattooing someone else and was willing to take my consultation while this other person was paying for their time. So unprofessional, terrible tattooing skills. Never going back.

Just a bad buying experience... I was purchasing something for my wife. I explain the situation to the employee and she was somehow helpful but in this case she did not warn me about the not return policy, I have worked in retail for more than 3 years so I know this case from her shoes... I guess she really wanted to sell that overpriced item so she did not consider the situation for her customer... Again nothing against any other service here other than a "quick buying of an item"... Just wanted to leave this here as a learning experience for the employees and management...

If I could I would give this place a 0 out of 10. I had booked a tattoo with an artist there paid for the deposit and booked a date and time.. this tattoo was simple and easy and also a bday gift as I had explained before to them when booking. Super excited I head to the place on the day of session. I couldn't find the place but new I was close so I call to make sure the exact location while still being early... Well i show up and wait to be told my artist wasn't coming in.. the reasoning was super immature...No one called me previously to let me know or re book. Instead they make me wait a half hour to be told I could sit and wait for a walk in tattoo time... Ticked off i got defensive .. clients pay a deposit to claim an artists time and to make sure the customer does not cancel last minute.. not the opposite around.. and not to mention having to argue side to get my deposit back.. ..Such B's ..

My best friend highly recommended this place so I trusted her and went, I came to get my Helix and Rook pierced, they messed up my rook, I didn't even end up with a rook piercing because he pierced my Daith! How do you mess up that badly?!? The guy doing the piercing was really nice but he was eating food before the piercing and he also said "I'm so tired I've done like 30 piercings today" which I found a little odd to say to your clients, but whatever I shook it off. The helix piercing went great, fast simple no real pain at all, then my "rook" he spent 20 minutes trying to get the needle out and the earring in and I was in pain that whole 20 minutes then proceeded to say "You're ears so small I probably shouldn't have even pierced this" which made me really uncomfortable because if it was too small he should have said so before he stabbed it through. When I messaged them on Facebook about the wrong piercing the only thing I got back was "Ok I'll let him no" obviously they didn't care and probably wouldn't even bring it up with him. Wouldn't recommend going here, I won't be coming back

A good friend got a tattoo here and it became severely infected. One thing about this place is they try and intimidate you with fear of slander threats but the TRUTH and facts are not slander. Be very careful before getting any tattoos anywhere but some places are less customer focused than others.

Made an appointment to get a tattoo came in and my artist handed me off to another artist who didn't even offered to let me look at his portfolio. while they were cleaning and sanitizing their workspaces they were eating food and before the tattoo artist was about to tattoo me he was typing on his phone with his rubber gloves. I walked out. unsanitary, very un happy, no customer service

Took my daughter here to get her ears pierced. The piercer was polite, not to friendly but informative. She did a good job with an anxious child's first piercing. However; $84 for an ear piercing is robbery! I will never have anything pierced in a shop again. Envy you are extremely over priced and should be ashamed. I will be doing my own in home piercings in the future.

I came here a few years ago to get my other ear pierced and the woman literally tried to pierce my ear in the weirdest spot.. Super unsymmetrical to my other ear. I had to draw the dot on my ear MYSELF. People don't care about how you look. Be careful out there.

I have gotten 7 individual piercings at envy and every single one was a good experience. Maddie is funny and attentive, and really knows how to stab a hole in your body, while keeping you distracted and comfortable. This shop is very serious about hygiene and sterilization, and they always keep everything clean. The owner is very friendly. Prices are very reasonable, and they have recently gotten a much larger selection of jewelry. 10/10

Waited to post now as it's been over a month since my girlfriend and I got our tongue and lip piercings and we could not be happier! Was a great experience and did not hurt at all! We were in and out within 30 minutes. Both have healed perfectly and next time we're back in Edmonton we'll probably get more piercings!

I went into Envy to get my septum and my tongue done. I had a great experience! My piercer was Bri, and she problem solved my complications with my tongue piercing with me, talked me through the process and withstood mine and my friends' stupid jokes. Her aftercare talk was frank and straightforward, but still polite, and she even offered my friend her contact info so we could get in touch with her for any reason. The place was clean and open, with a very cozy feel.

An awesome experience! I just got my first piercing there last night and it could not have gone better! Me and my friend walked in, the staff were very attentive without being pushy, and I instantly felt less nervous. Some chill music was playing, and the whole shop was extraordinarily spotless without having a clinical feel. There was nice and straightfoward form to fill out, and they asked to see our IDs and discussed our piercing choices in a professional, non-condescending way. I asked to see their autoclave and they showed me the whole set up from the door because they don't want to break sterility, and the woman piercing me (Miadi) tells me that I can ask to see a Alberta Health Certificate at any piercing shop, which means if they can't show me the autoclave because of sterility issues I can still know they're safe! Miadi listened to all our concerns about the piercings we were getting, she adjusted mine so it wouldn't interfere with my glasses and checked out the healing process on my friend's piercing and gave advice even though it was from a different shop. She was extremely thorough with the cleaning up and our health and safety, and she didn't judge me for my anxiety or my (admittedly) low pain tolerance. Afterwards we were given salt to make saline and a pamphlet of instructions on how to care for our new piercings, plus instructions from the piercer herself. Overall a grand old time with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The best part? My friend got a forward helix and I got a industrial piercing, we split the bill and only had to pay 45 dollars each! Absolutely rad little shop!

My artist was Dave! If I could give 0 stars I would. Honestly was the Worst experience getting a tattoo. I am never coming back to this shop and I recommend for NOBODY TO GO HERE. i was Supposed to be getting a half sleeve done and I paid for the day , it was suppose to be $800 but unfortunately when I had got there the artist was unprepared and late about a half hour , also they had NOTHING drawn. Dave was suppose to have a few from me to choose from before I got there as to me booking my appointment 3 weeks in advance and I was willing to pay for the draw ups ???? so I patiently waited an hour for a draw up and I like the artists work and wanted to get started seems as to how I was almost 2 hours into my appointment without even a stencil on... The artist Dave went outside every hour to smoke a joint and a few cigarettes which I smoked cigarettes at the time so I was with him while he smoked, at one point he sat outside for about 40 minutes!! I was angry at this point and disappointed so next time he asked if I was ready for a smoke break i said "no I would really like to keep going we are about 4.5 hours into the appointment and I barely have anything on my arm so I would really like to keep going." Then he proceeded to stand up and say to me "he needed a break so he was going to have a smoke. HONESTLY?! Looking back on what happens next I never should've even paid. After he came back into the shop about 20 minutes later, he sat down to start working he did abit of shading and then the gun stopped working ???????? he said the Cord he was using was really old and stopped working and he didn't have a replacement so I didn't get to finish my tattoo which I'm thankful because it looks terrible and I paid $550 for a not even half finished tattoo , It was a terrible experience and he is a terrible artist. Im sorry ????I expected so much more after seeing his art work but it was a waste of money and time ???? I do not recommend anyone to go to this shop I'm going at needle point in west edmonton mall to get my tattoo finished properly and by a professional.

Called during a sale regarding how busy they expected it to be (as I'm sure this was not their first sale, and I was more asking about how busy a piercing shop on Whyte Ave would be on a friday) The guy on the phone said multiple times "first come first serve". As most sales are first come first serve, and I was simply asking a question I expected some sort of positive customer service experience which would solidify my plans of redeeming their sale. I messaged the company through facebook, where I received a very poorly written response "Hi Samantha it was me your where talking to and you asked me if it was going to be busy later and i told you that it's first come first serve and we don't no how busy it will be later. Then you asked it again and i told you the same thing. We don't no how busy where going to be at any given time because of the sale being first come first serve. Sorry you got a fended it wasn't meant to a fend you . THE OWNER" I expect better customer service, especially from the owner of your business.

Just got a tattoo here and highly recommend. It was a flash tattoo, which came out to 80 with coloring. I got a tattoo around the same size years ago without color for 120 from a different shop, so I think it was a really good deal. It was a flash sale tattoo so it was cheaper. But my bf was here before and I didnt realize it and his tattoo was also priced way better. Tamera the artist made me feel comfortable being their, and she was very friendly and polite. And she took her time to clean it also, which the last shop I was at rushed through, and rushed their cleaning job, both times I went actually. All the positive reviews on here, are true and if youre looking for a shop I recommend this one.

My friend got a belly button piercing done here and they pierced it crooked and the "professional" who did the piercing put a barbell in that was the wrong size so he had to remove it and put another one in. Someone who considers themselves experienced shouldn't have to remove a piercing after its been initially pierced. They should know and make the proper informed judgement before doing an initial piercing.

I typically go to another shop to get my piercings done, however I can say after this experience I will strictly be coming back to see Abby at envy! All of the staff there were friendly and helpful and I felt very welcome in the environment. Not only was Abby a wonderful human to chat with while peircing my nipples, she did an excellent job of making the peircing go as smooth and painless as possible. She gave me thorough instructions on keeping my peircings healthy and I have had zero issues now a week and a bit later. You guys are the best! ❤

Just seems like such a sketchy place as soon as you walk in. the girl at the front desk was dressed so unprofessionally and was in pj bottoms. The girl who did was piercing was very nice and friendly, but I wish she would of told me that doing two cartilage piercings at the same time ( one on each ear ) was not a good idea. Not only did both piercings heal badly and I had to remove them, but I also had a reaction to their metal and they said that wasn't possible. Went to Atomic Zombie for other piercings and a piercer there had told me that having a reaction to their metal is a common complaint for Envy, even though they deny it. Don't recommend going there at all. Sure they have deals on piercings and such, but id rather pay for better quality than what they can provide.

I got my first cartilage piercing done here and it was a wonderful experience. My peircers name was Bri and she had me in and out of the peircing room in what felt like under 5 minutes, which really helped with how nervous and anxious I was. My whole visit there including the earring selection, getting the peircing, and getting talked through after care all took less than 15 minutes. I would highly recommend this place for getting peircings, the staff is very friendly and the price is not too high like other places.

I went there in for a walk-in piercing. They told me to have a seat and that there would only be a few people infront of me, I ended up waiting for 2 hours! Had I known... I wouldn't have stayed that long and I would've just come back another day. 2 hours later waiting for my turn to get pierced, i had asked for the smallest dermal you had and they didn't have one even close to the same size. The piercer should have warned me that they were too big to start of with! He then said that after 6 weeks I could downsize. After waiting so long and being reassured that it would be ok... I got pierced. My piercer was struggling in the beginning then applyied huge bandages on my face. When I got home I replaced my bandages with new/smaller bandages... I noticed my cheek piercings totally uneven!! I'm both height and in width. One is at least an 1/8 of an inch to the right and same in height. So it was a waste of a day and 85$

Dingy and dark. Called in advance to ensure someone was able to assist me, said sure thing. Let them know I wasn’t able to come in at a certain time, they said it’s cool someone will be here to help you, I left WORK get there in 20 mins and they are like sorry, there is a long wait now. My boyfriend got a tattoo done by an apprentice at ENVY and she very badly infected his leg. She told us she ran it by her mentor. I messaged her a picture of his leg and asked if it was normal and she said "ITS' NOT PERFECT HEALING BUT IT'S HEALING" HE GOT A STAPH INFECTION!!! We stopped by and showed her mentor and he was appalled . She didnt run it through him and that got me mad. He said she wasn't allowed to do a tattoo bigger than a baseball (it was) and she wasnt allowed to do full color (it was). So he said he would fix it for us and I said i wanted my money back . She would not even apologize or anything. I will never recommend her. !!!! Her mentor on the other hand is the best guy/artist ever ! I will not go to anyone else except him.

I went to envy hoping for a great experience and I had heard good stories from friends who had gotten piercings there. The man at the front desk was nice but condescending. I went to the back to get my septum pierced and the second he put something in my nose I knew he didn't know what he was doing. I asked for my piercing to be a little higher up than normal (I wanted it too look almost unoticeable but cute) and what I got was the most PAINFUL piercing I've ever had. The piercing was completely lopsided and I could feel the metal just by touching the skin on one side of my septum. I flipped it up for a few hours after it was done to go see my grandparents, and on one side you could see the metal and on the other you couldn't. He almost went right through the middle of my nose!! I had been waiting for MONTHS to get this done. Very VERY disappointed and I will not be returning again.

Highly recommended for piercings. I had my second lobe piercings done at Envy and would go back for any other piercings in the future. Staff is helpful and easy to talk to. Cleanliness is very apparent. My piercer took her time and did it with care. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to earrings I purchased from Envy separate from the ones that came with my piercings. I bought two pairs of internally threaded studs for my first and second lobe piercings. They looked and felt like good quality earrings and were a good-looking design. However, one earring in both pairs would regularly come loose and fall out. Because of this, I started constantly checking my ears and would find one earring from each pair was almost completely unscrewed and about to fall. Inevitably, I lost one earring from each pair while wearing all four earrings. This was quite disappointing as the studs were of good quality and the price reflected this. Overall, I had very positive experiences first when I had my ears pierced and second while buying the studs.

I went here with a friend so that she could get her forward helix jewelry put back in her ear. The presumed owner of this shop tried and failed to put the jewelry in. I asked him if there was any other artists that could try. He immediately took an aggressive tone with me and told us that it never should've been pierced in the first place. I have had a few tattoos done here and told him that I wouldn't be returning. He then proceeded to yell at us and tell us to leave. As we were on our way out a customer stopped us and asked what had happened, as we were talking to her the owner walked over, forcefully grabbed my arm, and attempted to physically push me out of the shop. He continued to do so even after I told him he wasn't allowed to touch me, to which he replied, "yes I am." There is now an incident report and pending assault charges against him. I would recommend you take your business elsewhere.

There is an apprentice working here who did a few tattoos on one of my friends. I wanted a nickle-sized heart outline on my finger, so I thought that would be much easier than the different shadings and typewriter font she did on my friend. This was my first tattoo so I asked a lot of questions, which she answered. Her mentor walked by and shook his head at her as I got mine done, which worried me. She messed up my tattoo which looked like it had "bled" ink (parts of the heart were significantly thicker than others and the whole thing was not sharp at all) and didn't answer my questions about tattoo removals afterwards. I wanted the thicker part of the outline to be thined out, but she didn't even give me a name or a place to ask. She didn't set me up with her mentor for a touchup but had me message Envy myself, which took about 3 days to reply after saying they'd tell their mentor message me back. I've never given a bad review but honestly I messaged them at least twice asking if her mentor had gotten a chance to call or message me back. He called me back after I called in and asked, during which he was busy. Not really a problem but I was already irritated with what the apprentice had done on my hand. When I went in for my touchup, the mentor was nice and joked around. When he first looked at my tattoo, he scrunched his face and said "Oh, that's bad." Apparently his apprentice was not allowed to do hands or feet (she also did my friend's foot that day with me) but went behind his back to do them. He then asked me about why I even went to her in the first place. Those two things just made me feel worse about it. Overall bad first tattoo experience, I wasn't able to get a thinner outline like I wanted, and the outline isn't even perfect right now after the mentor touched it up. Not exactly the mentor's fault, but maybe he could've been more stern to her about what she is and isn't allowed to do. And she DEFINITELY shouldn't be trying to prove herself if she's working in an industry where you leave permanent marks on people's skin (especially hands!!). Overall, I'm sure the other artists at Envy are fine. I'd say don't go for an apprentice ever, learn a lot about your artist, ask for a portfolio, and maybe even require experience on whatever area you want done.
