Got a tattoo on my wrist. The work was done nice and Artist was very professional. Sadly tattoo faded on shading within 6 months, after healing very nicely. Can see outline on majority of tattoo but barely any shading.

Conrad is a visionary. I explained what I was looking for and he designed a masterpiece, the best tattoo ever. I highly recommend Conrad to anyone looking for a creative one of a kind amazing tattoo. He repaired a piece I had done by someone else and completed another piece that needed finishing touches. Dude knows what you want even if you don't and that is a true artist.

BEST. IN. EDMONTON. I've been going to Conrad at Black Market since the day I turned 18, and he's taken great care of me ever since. 5 years and 8 tattoos later I can say with conviction that he's an incredible artist and his work is next level stuff!! Conrad has always shown concern if I seemed woozy, supported my ideas, explained his process and reasons for design, and has been accommodating of my schedule (I've lived in 3 cities since then, but I will only go to Black Market for ink on my body). I get asked very often in BC who did my tattoos and how they did such a great job, I'm happy to throw some love back to Conrad in Edmonton The whole team is great and I love going in. Glen is hilarious and a great guy, Shaun makes you feel at home and always has a good story, Brooke will show me whatever great design she's working on, and Lucy is an easy person to be friends with. Everyone there is talented and loves what they do so I'd highly recommend, check out their portfolios and you'll see ;)

This place is awesome. I have a lot of pieces I still wanna get done, but Lucy was able to squeeze me in same day for some amazing pieces. Wouldn't recommend any other place in the Edmonton/ surrounding area for tattoo work! This one and the fort sask location are the two nicest shops I have ever been into!

My tattoo artist is Luke and i can say that he is an amazing, artistic, and patient tattooist. I have been going to Luke at Black Market Tattoo now for over 3 years. Already have another appointment booked and plan on for more. I've seen other work from the other artist and they are all amazing. I recently had a full sleeve done by Luke. Not my first tattoo, but my first at Black Market. Luke took the general idea I gave him and turned it into a fantastic piece. These days with tattoo shops seemingly everywhere this shop and the work done by it's artists stands out. Up until now I've never had more than one tattoo done at the same shop, or by the same artist. My tattoo with Luke has changed that and I'd get another done at Black Market by him without a second thought. Thanks for the time and effort put into giving me a great tattoo Luke.

Got a tattoo by Gavin B. Looks rad, and it was more than just well done. The following week he did some colour on a piece that was started by an artist that I can no longer find. Both tattoos look hella rad, and the other tattoos I saw come out of here were nothing short of amazing as well. They are clean and professional, and didnt make fun of me when I tapped out of the piece on the side of my head. (I made fun of me). They are great people here. It's a great atmosphere and I definitely recommend booking a piece or multiple pieces here. I've already told all my friends about it.

The staff are all fantastic and professional, the place is always spotless, and of all the artwork they have done on myself and others, I have never seen a bad one done. If you're looking for a place to get your first (or next) tattoo, you are committing treason against your own body by not going here.

just recently had an old tattoo covered up and some new art added to cover up. my tattoo artist, lucy, was very patient with me and definitely understood what i was looking for. it was a very fun experience as the group of artists they have seem to have a great family dynamic and the way the shop is set up is great as you are not isolated in a little room with just the artist working on you. just a large room with 4 stations which is nice for conversation, both for the artists and the customers. i will be going back for more work and will be spreading the word to all my friends and coworkers. great shop, great people, great atmosphere

I got a tattoo done at Black Market Calgary trail July 2020, the artist that I had was very professional & did a wonderful job on my piece! Fast forward to today ( Jan 23 2021 ) I tried to call in to the shop to see if they keep record of who I had as I don't remember her name, the man on the other end of the phone said they do keep track of who has what client but " it would take a lot of effort " for him to do that, I said I would appreciate if he could as I am trying to book in with that same artist, he flat out told me he was not going to do that for me, and that no one employed by black market would.. seems odd that they don't want the bookings at their studio? especially after being locked down for 6 + weeks. He was incredibly unprofessional and rude. Unfortunately I will not be returning to black market because of this experience, I was trying to book in for matching tattoos with 5 of my sisters, we will be taking our money & business to a shop that appreciates it!

I've had three pieces done by Conrad and one by Glen. Both shops (Clareview and Fort Sask.) are ran very professionally and are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. I strongly recommend getting a tattoo through Black Market. The artist's are professional and extremely talented. All 4 of my pieces turned out beyond my expectations, and I wouldn't expect yours to turn out any less. Very impressed all around!

This was my second time going to Black Market Tattoo and getting a tattoo done by Lucy. Not only did Lucy spend a week going back and forth on emails to get the idea of how I wanted my tattoo to look but she blew my expectations out of the water. Lucy drew my tattoo exactly how I wanted and the tattoo turned out amazing. Can't wait for her to do my next tattoo.

Very clean, you can see all the supplies that are being used and packaging is opened in front of you. Loved my tattoos by Lucy. I wasn't able to do a walk in but she booked me in for just a few days later. Great atmosphere and a reasonable rate. Definitely appreciated that it is not cash only. Will be back for future tattoos for sure

Took the photos I gave her and changed them how I wanted them. The shop is very clean. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They use good quality ink. Will return for more. :)

I've had 2 tattoos here. One by Luke, which is beautiful. The other one was by Lucy. It is in a spot I cannot hide, and I just went for my 3rd lazer removal appointment because it's that bad. I do not recommend seeing Lucy if you go.

DO NOT GO HERE ! The artist that I worked with is unpredictable, unreliable and unprofessional. Glen and I agreed on a three quarter sleeve tattoo. I proposed my ideas and HE AGREED to work with me. He tattooed my first piece. I paid him in full, on time, plus 40% tip for his work. When it was time to move on to the next piece, he unexpectedly texted me insults and then canceled our agreement. If you are looking for professional work, this is NOT the place.
