When I first went there, it was on a walk-in and Sean took me and my friend immediately! He was really listening to what we wanted and made sure that what he was tattooing was exactly what and where we wanted it! cinthia was super rude and impatient. the vibe is great and the rest of the staff seemed nice but cinthia didn’t listen to any directions my friend gave her on the tattoo he wanted and was overall being very stubborn and unpleasant. she constantly gave my friend dirty looks rooted in frustration for correcting her outlines and by the 10th correction it just felt like she was drawing things incorrectly on purpose so we could leave. we ultimately ended up cancelling the session and walking out because we figured it would be better to find a tattoo artist that would actually listen to his/her/their client when it comes to how they want their tattoo done. if you go here and your assigned tattoo artist’ name is cinthia say ????????you ????????want ????????another???????? one. she’ll mess your tattoo up on purpose to avoid actually applying herself

She made a beautiful tattoo of a bear with Arabian jasmine flowers. Although Janice can draw all sorts of things in different styles, she will create the most beautiful artwork of nature and animals. My family and I had the opportunity to get “;” tattoos here to celebrate my brother’s 10 years sober anniversary. We were greeted at the door so warmly and welcomed in by the staff as if we were at cheers. The whole staff was friendly and were able to make the nerves of the first timers at ease. I as well as my father was tattooed by Cinthia. She took her time in making sure we were happy with both the style and placement of our tattoos. Since this was my father’s first tattoo she took her time and answered his million questions, before starting to tattoo him. There was a moment where I was sure she’d tell us all to leave cause of his questions but she had no problem explaining everything and taking her time with his tattoo. I was very impressed with her professionalism as well as her skills. When it came time for me to be tattooed, she was still in a joking mood and we had a great time. I am planning on visiting the shop and hopefully get tattooed by Cinthia again as her work is so impressive! I do suggest this place to my friends! Thanks for the great memories!

However, inspired by a friend and finding reassurance through Cinthia, the artist at DFA who wonderfully put her artistic touch and her own take on the design I had ultimately chosen from a Genesis album cover illustration; I forged ahead and got my tattoo. DFA is a great place with a warm, inviting atmosphere and I was intrigued by how each artist has personalized their work areas, so there is plenty to see if one arrives early for their appointment. I wanted two tattoos done and around the vicinity of my workplace, and liked the look of one of their tattoo artist's work. When I first arrived to schedule an appointment, it seemed busy and over a course of a few minutes, I was not attended to. The lady asked me what I wanted and I described what I was planning on getting and she recommended on of the other artist there. After going home and doing a bit of portfolio research, I decided that I wasn't comfortable with the artist I booked with, so I called back to arrange an appointment with another artist there: Cory. The lady who answered said they were busy, took my number but never called back. Long story short, my first appointment was made and met up with Cory. His line work is great though he didn't really talk much (granted, I asked for a simple word tatt). I then asked him at the end if he would do another tattoo design I had in mind but since this other piece leaned more towards a watercolor-like design, he referred me to his colleague: Sean. After a couple of weeks, my appointment was made and I had sent through what I had wanted. Towards the end of the session, I noticed that one of the colours was green instead of a light, pastel blue I wanted and I pointed it out. I received a "I see green on the design", so I had him paint over with blue (healed now, but still more green than anything). Colour-wise, it didn't really turn out the way I had imagined it. Overall, my personal impression of this place is that they aren't so chatty with their customers. I somehow felt that I was brushed off for wanting a design which was not an original creation of the artist there. Or maybe word had spread that I was picky with the original artist I was booked with? Either way, as the customer who was about to receive a life-long commitment and had a bad experience in the past, I felt that I had the right to be picky in that sense. Not to mention, an important note: they DO NOT take the needles out of the packaging in front of you. I had to ask what they do with their needles to obtain further info. I personally like to see the artists open up the packaging right before they start. I would not be returning based on the two experiences I've had and would rather try elsewhere.

Angus and melissa are both great artists and will make sure your experience is the best there is. Angus is especially really easy to love. I gave 2 stars because my last experience with one of the artists, Sean, was the worst I've had ever since I knew what tattoos were. I don't usually get hung up on these things but it really was unprofessional, to the point of getting insulted and told to go somewhere else to finish the tattoo he did, even though I came to him with open arms, he hung up the phone on me and that was it. It had been a very long time since I got talked to that way, to say the least. It was my experience. I don't wish this on anyone who disregards this, regardless.

First time at this shop and it certainly wont be the last. The shop was clean and quite. The vibes were welcoming and friendly. I was greeted by a sweet woman who took my information, showed me where to put my coat and introduced me to my artist. Aimee was beyond wonderful. Her attitude and style are easily the reason I was so comfortable. The shop was quite that day (it was stormy out) and the other artist's at the shop would stop by Aimee's station to admire her work and offer compliments. Everyone was extremely nice. I absolutely love my piece Aimee did and we even spoke about my next few tattoos. I feel confident that we can brainstorm together and execute some beautiful artwork to put on my skin. You can see the staff all hold themselves at a high standard and high spirits considering all the covid restrictions. I can't wait to plan my next visit. This is a review for Janice. She was/is my main tattoo artist to go to. If I had the funding like I used to for tattoos, believe me, I would be getting more work done. She was amazing! I've had a bad experience with a tattoo artist in the past and she actually did a cover up for that tattoo on my second visit to her. She is an extremely talented tattoo artist! She really puts in the time and effort in her work and it really shows. I promised her my arm and I will be back soon!

She is super chill. My girlfriend had hers done by Cinthia. The level of detail they put into their work is fantastic. We come from 9 hours away but will definitely be going back because the drive is worth it.

Sean is the absolute best and an absolute beast when it comes to tattoos. I have all my work done my him. In fact, whenever I walk into another tattoo parlour, I become violently ill and projectile vomite/defecate all over the shop.
