I'd recommend Twin City to all my friends and my family. They are exceptionally knowledgeable. Megan and Erin did all my piercings and love how they made me feel comfortable and not just a customer. I totally dig the atmosphere where it feels like home and they keep everything clean and fun! I'm certainly enjoying all my added accessories ????

They quote prices and never do what they say they are going to do. I have asked them several times how much, I want this completed like this and done when I come in and it never is. Its oh I just quoted you for this...and 800.00 later you have a panther with one set of whiskers and two repeat (400.00 each visit) visits to finish it you get whiskers that look like a 3 year old scribbled them in. This isn't about the money, not once have I ever complained about what I've paid and dont mind paying to get a quality COMPLETED piece. Just complete it for what you said you would. Bad business mentality. Don't get me wrong jaekob is a wonderful artist but his co-owner's business mentality had rubbed off on him.. money has become more important than the art.

I can't speak for the shop as a whole, but Jaekob Hill did an awesome job. The tattoo was big, but not overly complicated. Took about 5 hours, when he could've dragged it out to take all day. Go check out @jhilltattoos on Instagram for pics. The price was reasonable and I enjoyed my experience.

I am new to the area, and have been wanting to get my ears re-pierced for years (they strangely closed up), and I kept passing this place. Finally my boyfriend and I decided to pop in and check it out. We walked up, and inquired about eat piercing. We spoke with Megan who was really personable and nice, straight forward which is great! Then I went back to have her look at my ears- she really knew what she was doubt and helped educate me on my ears and the piercings I had received prior. Then she walked me through every step of the way! She layed out detailed after care notes, and helped keep me distracted and as comfortable as she could through the whole process. I really appreciated her hard work and skill! I highly recommend this place for piercings. Good price too!

Megan pierced my kids ears and she was great, but the other piercer, Abby was not so great. They tag teamed my kid for the piercing and I liked the idea, but Abby had shaking hands the entire time. She had a hard time putting in the earring as well as her hands were shaking so bad. With that being said, Megan was very good with my kid, she is very good around kids. But it makes me nervous having Abby participate in piercings. It’s like having a surgeon with shaky hands… it is sketchy. I wouldn’t go back there necessarily, and if I did I wouldn’t go see Abby.

I went there and they had no interest in doing my tattoo. Wasn’t overly complicated tattoo.Just asked for some artistic advise got nothing from him. Acted like he didn’t want to do it and suggested I go to someone else. Not sure if it was a race thing or not.

Best experience I have ever had getting a piercing. Everyone is so nice and professional and you feel comfortable the second you walk in. I went to get snake bite piercings and I could not be happier. Megan was my piercer and she really took her time with the placement of my piercings and making sure that I was happy with it and made sure that I knew how to take care of the piecing before I left. Unfortunately a few hours later one of my piercings fell out while I was eating and I was unable to get it back in myself so I gave them a call to see if they could help me put it back in. They were close to closing so I hurried down there and Erin was the one who put the piercing back in for me. She even gave me an extra bar that was a bit longer just in case my lip swelled too much and I might need to change it out later. I will definitely be coming back for future piercings.

The shop overall is very welcoming with a great atmosphere, doesn’t make you nervous like some other shops. Jaekob has done both of my tattoos (soon to be 3)! After going to other shops in Myrtle or even just local; you won’t find anyone as welcoming or talented as him! Be sure to bring cash to avoid a card fee, and always schedule in advance for him! He’s always booked up. Great things take time :)

I wish I could rate these guys TEN stars!! So just to give a preface to my actual tattoo day... A friend and I visited two other tattoo shops one afternoon...I won't name any places but they were not friendly or welcoming at all. When we entered Twin City, these guys were extremely friendly and down to earth. Now on the first visit, my friend and I literally spent an hour in there asking questions and were indecisive on what kind of tattoo to get. Not one time did they get impatient or irritated with me, even though we didn't spend any money in there that day... And I can be a pain when it comes to 800 questions ???????? Now fast forward to today... I made an appt with Patrick to get one tattoo and then ended up getting TWO! One of my tattoos was the smallest I've seen and in a very unusual place (down the edge of my earlobe), but dude KILLED IT! He was extremely personable and down to earth. I've been following Patrick's work on Instagram and I definitely made the right choice going to see him!! I'll be back cause no one else in Winston is touching my skin. Thank you Patrick!!!

They do great work but don't take cards. Little shady I assume for not claiming to the government how much they make so they don't have to pay taxes. Can't tell you what their hourly rate is. They say it can be 500 to 800 for a portrait. Also said it would be a extra charge to do a butt tattoo cause I'm a guy. I bet that extra charge would not be applied if I were some hot girl they could check out

I’ve been reading the reviews about this shop and I’ve seen a few speak about a certain situation. That was simply a bad apple and was handled properly. Do not read those reviews and allow them to sway your opinion. Regarding my personal experiences, Each and every time I’ve visited I’ve been welcomed with open arms and treated as family. You can feel the atmosphere when you walk in and it is all love and fun. On top each artist being exceptionally talented, they go above and beyond to make your ideas come to life. I wouldn’t recommend any other place than this.

Wayne is top notch. I've gotten tattoos at five different places, but this was by far the best experience. Patient, good conversation, light handed, clean lines, great work. Probably my top choice for an artist for any future ink I get. Jaekob was very friendly as well, and the piece I watched him do was incredibly intricate, but his work was absolutely flawless. Clean, honest, friendly. Great shop, my wife and I will be back.

I got my very first tattoo here and it was such an enjoyable experience.I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Jake and he put me totally at ease for my first tattoo which was on my rib. As someone who struggles with chronic migraines, like 2-3 episodes a week, I’ve become desperate for solutions. Medicines, diets, none of it seemed to make a difference. I finally caved in and got a daith piercing. I’m sorry I’m terrible with names, maybe it was Shay? That helped with the first piercing. Immediately I felt some relief and the migraines reduced. Waited a few months to do the other ear, and this time Meg? Did the other ear. I was waiting at the shop before opening with no appointment (because at this point I had a migraine for four terrible straight days) and she welcomed me right in. Everyone was friendly, the shop is cleaned, sanitized and organized. As soon as the second daith went in, I felt immediate pressure relief. Meg (sorry I can’t find your card, hope that’s your name) was upbeat, charming and managed to get a laugh out of me. The assistant was attentive and paid attention, and I think that’s a great sign for their future in the biz. I left with clear care instructions and a lovely kit I can’t seem to find right now. Now it’s been… maybe 3-4 weeks since the second piercing went in and I have had zero migraines like I used to. I still get other symptoms for migraines, but not the terrible throbbing pain in my head. Who would of thought, all I needed was some metal in my ears to help. Thanks for helping ladies, I’m a fan. I might get a few more peircings once this one heals up, and I am coming back! Thank you!

Tattoo artist scheduled our appointment (whiskey) after we paid our deposits. Scheduled two appointments and left our deposits with tattoo artist. Day of our appointment came and the shop was closed when we arrived. No one contacted us to let us know they were getting floors redone. Tattoo artist said shop would be closed a few days but he would do our tattoos in his home. We went to the shop when it reopened to ask for our deposits back because everything was so unprofessional. Shop said tattoo artist was having issues with “dope” and they hadn’t heard from him. They were unable to refund us our deposits because tattoo artist had our money and “he pays rent for his booth” so the tattoo artist had to figure it out. Don’t go here! Very unprofessional, they just took our money and we never received our service. Very disappointed.

Jaekob Hill did all of our tattoos and has us already wanting to plan our next event at Twin City Tattoo. The other staff members were welcoming and made us feel at home. I have tattoos but have never been to Twin City Tattoo and Piercing Studio. Brought my wife in for her first Tattoo and it was a very sentimental piece she wanted done. Made an appointment with Pat and he made his recommendations about how he wanted to do the piece versus what the pic showed. My wife was very receptive to his suggestions (because you should listen to the artist, whom is more knowledgeable anyway) and his suggestions were spot on! The tattoo turned out way better than the pic and he absolutely nailed it!! It was an AWESOME first tattoo!! Pat you were great to work with and we will be seeing you again!! We would highly recommend this artist and this shop to anyone looking for quality work!!

Loved this shop! I brought in a picture to Jae and he was awesome. He worked with me to give me exactly where I wanted it placed and it looked amazing. They are very unprofessional! One of my kids got a tattoo there, the artist was late for each session. The owner can't care about his business b/c I would fire anyone that shows up late to work all the time. Also, he quoted a price and then of course wanted additional money to finish the tattoo. I don't doubt there may be some good artists there but they don't run a good business.

This place was great! Very good artist, the owner Wayne did a tattoo for me last minute today. He took his time and didn't rush it. His tattooing machine was amazing no noise, very clean, and almost painless. He did some lettering on my wrist over some scars and the line work was great. A very freindly tattoo shop. I would give negative stars if I could. The tattoo artist at this place took my money and ran. Paid many hundreds of dollars for a tattoo on day one Whiskey was supposed to complete my tat that day. He literally got the stencil drawn out it on and only tattooed me for an HOUR the. Said he had to go get his daughter and that I could come back in 2 days to get it finished. Just to have the artist at this shop never finish my tattoo. I showed up and the owner told me he had not heard from him and that I would need to contact the artist. To later see that he is no longer at the shop now according to their social media. I have asked for my money back and they won’t give it to me because they said he ran off with it to Florida and that they can’t control him. This may be true but what I’m saying is DO NOT trust them here.

I don’t write reviews, but I 100% recommend Megan!!! Went today to get some piercings, super sweet, makes you feel super comfortable, all together she’s amazing. It was quick and easy, i wouldn’t want to go to any other place! I have two other piercings there and never had an issue. If you’re looking for a place to go, I recommend going here and asking for Megan. Hands down best place to go.
