Michelle was great, pleasant and fun. I had permanent eyeliner applied on upper and lower lids. This took just under 2 hours but the time went quickly. While some of it was painful, Michelle took her time, talked me through the painful parts, applied a light touch, and used a cool pad when needed to reduce the pain. I made it through the process without any difficulty and my eyes look great.

The entire staff was very friendly and the studio is adorable and has a “homey” feel. I just had my first experience at Rose Red and I am very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy extended toward me. I had permanent eyebrows done back in 1986 in California when permanent makeup was just getting started. Although the eyebrows were supposed to last only 15 years or so, it was more than 30 years before I noticed they had begun to fade. I asked my hairdresser for a permanent makeup recommendation and she said her sister's best friend had had a very positive experience at Rose Red, so I called them. The owner, Lisa Doll, was extremely knowledgeable, both medically and aesthetically. I went for a consultation (free) and explained that I only needed the old brows touched up, as I liked the shape and color very much already. Lisa did not try to upsell me into something I neither wanted nor needed. I paid my deposit and made an appointment. Ultimately, I had to change the appointment when an unforeseen conflict came up, but Lisa worked with me via email to schedule a new appointment that worked for both of us, and then let me know twice of cancellations in case I wanted to come earlier. The second time she notified me of a cancellation I was available, so I had the procedure done a whole month earlier than scheduled, which was so great! Lisa only charged me for a touch-up and didn't try to "modernize" my brows. She did exactly what I asked and was very informative and knowledgeable when I sought her advice. Her after-care advice was thorough and her after-care products (included) worked well. I will be recommending Lisa Doll and Rose Red to everyone.

I orginally came in because a friend let me know about $100 Friday the 13th tattoos. I found several amazing designs I wanted and was happily able to get my first choice and be the second client of the day for Lisa Doll, owner of Rose Red. What a fantastic experience! My colorful tattoo healed fabulously and is one of the cleanest lined, brightly colored tattoos that I have. While I was there I saw some artwork on her wall of one of my favorite characters, Coraline. I knew I had to have it. It was such a magnificent piece of fan art! We booked the appointment that day for linework. The linework went smoothly and much more quickly than anticipated. We chatted the whole time and have a lot in common. I went back yesterday for the coloring. I had to reschedule my original appointment a few days before and Lisa was politely accomodating. Coraline is on my calf so I coulndn't watch it being done but I never had a doubt that it wouldn't be incredible. Lisa has so much love in her work that every little detail is high quality. The shop is also a cool layout and great use of the place. It's clean and there is always great music on. I absolutely look forward to visiting again with Lisa and her other artists.

NEVER GO HERE I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! I went there for permanent make up. To get my eyebrows done and initially I was rushed n I think because I was particular she did a horrible job on purpose!!!! They messed up my eyebrows in a really awkward shape n now it's taking so long to get them removed. If you want your brows done try microblading but DONT GO HERE !!! Money wasted I wouldn't trust them with anything! They really need a zero

Mandi did my first ever tattoo yesterday. It's a simple small grey ribbon on my inside right wrist. Even though she has done similar tattoos many times, she made sure to treat mine as if it was unique. She is very considerate and kind. The consultation was thorough and reassuring. When I arrived yesterday, Mandi had 3 sketches for me to choose from. Once I picked the one I wanted, she was able to shrink it to the size that I requested. She was patient when I had her move the stencil twice and said she always asks people multiple times to make sure they like where it is. She made sure to keep her gloves and equipment clean as well as my skin. She gave great instructions for after care too. The studio is clean, well lit and nicely decorated. All of the staff are friendly and create an inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend Rose Red and Mandi in particular. Thank you Mandi for making my first tattoo such a pleasant experience!

This is the worst tattoo I’ve ever gotten. I have 8 other tattoos and loved them immediately. This is the first time I have gotten a tattoo that I was not happy with. I am now stuck with a tattoo that I have to get covered up because there is no way I can walk around with the type of tattoo.

I've been thinking about getting this tattoo for a year and a half and finally caved and made an appointment at Rose Red. I was worried that no one would be interested in doing this tattoo since it is so simple, but Monica took the time to meet with me to discuss what I wanted and educate me on tattoo placement and expectations. She was very helpful and upfront with me and never made me feel like my idea was silly or not worth her time. The day of my tattoo was great - the studio is very clean and spacious. I think it took longer to set up for my tattoo than it took to complete the actual tattoo, but Monica talked me through what to expect and exactly how to care for such a small tattoo. I would gladly get another tattoo with Monica again. In fact, I'm currently considering a cover up with her.

One word: Professionalism. I had the pleasure of having Mandi Johnson take my vision and bring it to life with her incredible skills. From the moment I stepped into their establishment, I was greeted with a comfortable, home-like atmosphere and plenty of smiles. Mandi was a fantastic listener and did all she could to make sure I not only was getting what I wanted, but also that I understood clearly every step of the process. I brought to her a vision, let her run with it, and she put it onto paper exactly as I was hoping. During the procedure, her bedside manner was calming, and she made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied from start to finish. The work I requested was non-color with shading, and she did an amazing job bringing my ideas to life. Her line-work is impeccable. The thing that blew the service out of the water was the after-care attention she gave me. This was only my second tattoo, and it was the first time I had done it with a real professional, so I wanted to make sure I was taking care of it properly. She not only gave me explicit instructions to take with me after the work was done, but also responded to my periodic e-mail questions within 24 hours. These were not one liners, but well fleshed out responses that explained everything clearly for an inexperienced receiver of tattoos. It's now three weeks after I got the work done and the end of the after-care process. The artwork looks fantastic, and I could not be happier. I would recommend Mandy and Red Rose to anyone that is looking for a warm, caring, professional tattoo experience!

I got my 3rd tattoo at Red Rose and it was an amazing experience. Lisa Doll was my artist. She is the owner. I wanted to get a tattoo over my heart for the memory of a family member. When I got there, the outside looked awesome and as I went inside I was in a huge waiting room and the place was very clean. Instantly someone came to greet me. It was Lisa. She took me in the back where all the rooms are for each artist (I presume) They also looked very clean and were all pretty big rooms. there was a reclining chair for me to sit on (very comfortable) I took her a basic photo of what I wanted and I asked her to use her creativity to help me make it original and better. She instantly came up with some fantastic ideas and had pictures to show me what she was talking about. I loved her idea so we went with it. That was my consultation. She fit me in, within the next 2 weeks even know they were very busy because she knew I had a time restraint. When I went back I was greeted by the piercer another very pleasant greeting. Lisa came out, I filled out the paper work and we were ready. She told me at the beginning anytime I need a break to take the pressure off, go to the bathroom, or smoke a cigarette go do so. She does not worry about trying to rush you out. She was very patient. Lisa allowed 2 hours for my tattoo and finished in one and a half hours. I couldn't believe when she said five more minutes and we are done. Quick but very thorough. She has been doing this a long time. The tattoo was awesome. I was so pleased I tipped her 30 dollars. It was worth it. The price of the tattoo itself was a very good price, The time it took was perfect, just as I started to feel that "I need a break" feeling she was done. The staff I met were all very pleasant, smiling, and made you feel like you were very important. I asked Lisa about the other artist and she said that all the artists here are top notch. I don't think Lisa would settle for second best in her work or her choice of staff. Red Rose Tattoo is the place to go when you want quality and efficiency. I will never get a tattoo anywhere else ever again. I am completely satisfied. I have already started thinking about my next tat. Something large on my back. I have been wanting one for a long time but until now I really didn't trust any of my other artists with something that large. Thanks to Lisa and everyone at Red Rose. Keep up the magnificent work.

Love this place. It is clean. The ladies are friendly, patient and really listen. I got one tattoo here last year and returned for a consult for a second tattoo which I'll be getting in a couple of weeks. I asked the artist I had a consult with (Casey) about a cover up and I absolutely appreciate her honesty in saying cover-ups weren't her specialty and told me which artist did them. She could have easily said oh yeah I can do that and I would have a second tattoo I wasn't happy with but she didn't. I met with Monica a few months prior to my appointment this past weekend. I had 2 parts of the tattoo that I wanted and was set on what 1 of them had to look like and was flexible on the 2nd part. When I met with Monica for my appointment, she nailed it! She showed me what she had been working on, I shared with her what I had in mind and she made a few adjustments to the drawing and it was perfect. She worked with me so the vision in my head could be put onto my body for life. We played with the size and directions together before I confirmed what I wanted. When starting the art, she explained what technique she would use and how the tattoo would end up looking on my skin afterwards. She talked to me throughout the whole appointment and would explain what she was doing and her progression throughout it. I felt comfortable with her the entire time and have already told my friends to go set up an appointment with her. I told Monica she is now my go-to girl :)

I called to make an appointment for a fairly small tattoo for valentine's day to surprise my husbend. first of all it took me three times to actually reach their office. i visited the shop and talk to the owner about the tattoo I wanted and she told me to even though she was busy she would make an appointment and to take my time in desciding about my tattoo and the time. as you know getting a permanent tattoo is not an easy decision to rush into so I took a week to decide and text the owner back. not only she was rude and said that she could not gave me an appointment and that there were other stores available to get my tattoo done. now my problem is not with the full schedule of this place I complelety understand that but that is very unprofessional to tell a customer to visit another store rather than giving me an appointment for a later time. Not at all what I was looking for.

4/29/2021 Love this establishment! I'm back again! This time with Tina! My first post was in 2019 and the artist was Mandi, who was awesome. Well it's great when you can come back and the service is still superb. This time my artist was Tina Frizzell. She is amazing! Once again the friendly service and professionalism were on point. I enjoyed the conversation with Tina. She listened and created exactly what I wanted. The fine lines in my piece are simply phenomenal! I can't say more about how pleased I am. Lisa Doll did a amazing job on my piece. She took just words and experiences and few internet pictures to capture the spirt of my osprey. I did not even hesitate to approve the sketch. She got the bird and the conductor’s lantern perfect on the sketch. I waited to write this review because it took three three hour sessions to complete. With every session what she said would heal. Opened up this beautiful gift of forever art on my body. When the color came in I almost cried because it was so beautiful. I saw her vision from all the consults and the sessions come to life from my words. I love to watch osprey fly and now I have one forever to protect me. She truly captured everything in her work. I will absolutely use her and her shop again because they are amazing not pretentious or kitschy like some tattoo shops can be when you come in not showing your art every where. Everyone is super friendly and has their own talents. So this is literally like finding the Ark of the covenant in ellicott city Maryland. I cannot wait to go back. Lisa did a wonderful job on my tattoo. On March 14, 2020, I received my first tattoo almost half a sleeve and the experience was great. During my consult with Lisa I explained, had pictures and drawings of what I wanted. Lisa not only explained the procedure to me she also answered my questions and made me feel at ease and not rushed. We went over the 30 minutes consultation and she still didnt make me feel uneasy. The tattoo session was scheduled for 5 hours, she was done in 3 hours. She took my ideas of how I wanted my tattoo to tell my story and made it phenomenal. At 60 I had my first tattoo after a partial mastectomy and radiation damage 9 years ago from breast cancer. I hated looking at my breast for so many years after all the damage. I finally decided to look into a tattoo and found Lisa after researching for several months. I showed her some images of what I envisioned, and a month later came in and she had designed exactly what I wanted. I was nervous but because of all the nerve damage barely felt it being done. The tattoo is beautiful. I look in the mirror now and see such a beautiful image. It has only been a week but it is life changing for me. Lisa is very friendly and I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. After meeting her for my consultation, I immediately knew I picked the right person to do this. You have privacy while she tattoos, in a clean comfortable room. She has a lot of experience with scar and mastectomy tattoos and I would highly recommend her. I cannot thank her enough for this beautiful piece of art she created for me. I wish I had done this sooner.

Michele is AMAZING! I now have the most beautiful eyebrows and gorgeous eyeliner- permanently!! Threw those stupid pencils away when I got home! I love love love that it only takes me 2 min or less to add a few strokes of mascara, some lip gloss and I'm ready to go! Michele is so incredibly gentile, kind and comforting the entire time she's with you. She took almost an hour before she even started my brows to work with me on the exact color, shape and size that I wanted and that looked best on me. I researched ALOT of places and artists before deciding to go with Michele and I could not be happier. I almost booked with a place that does hand-held microblading, instead of actual tattooing that Michele does-- I feel like I dodged a bullet! Once I learned more about the 2 processes I am so grateful that I chose NOT to get handheld microblading done! If you are even considering it-- DO IT! I only regret that I didn't do it much sooner!

My recent appointment with Monica was excellent! I chose a design of hers I liked and made no edits to the composition or color. The sizing and placement experience was easy to communicate with her. While being tattoed I found her room very relaxing and she worked timely. Her work looks great, I am really satisfied with the elegance of the linework and rich green ombre that drew me to the design.
