My tattoo is faded and the lines are not crisp after 4 years the anchor is not done right and the star on anchor for rank is faded badly . But it looks like it was done in some sea port over seas my dad would like it (Navy Master Chief Petty Officer) bit I like the place and would get more. Very clean and almost all the art is top notch.

Went in to buy some plugs for my ears, there was a line to the counter which didn't bother me at first because I was willing to wait. The person infront of me had to fill out paperwork for a piercing while she was filling out the paperwork they had plenty of time to get the jewelry out of the case for me to look at, by this time I had been there 25 minutes. Two customers came in behind me, one wanting to schedule a consult and one wanting to talk to someone about touch ups, instead of helping me the desk clerk and whoever was sitting with him decided to talk to this them instead of helping me, first come first served, what should have taken 5 minutes was now almost 45 minutes. Finally I just gave up and walked out.

Had an appointment scheduled for a month got there door was locked. And they didn't have us on the schedule once one of the owners opened the door, we drove 45 mins for nothing could not get us in until the next morning. So disappointed!

I walked into River City Tattoo Company having never been there. There was no hesitation to recognize that I had just walked in, and someone at the counter immediately asked how they could help me. I was quickly introduced to a tattoo artist named Jake who was polite and I could unmistakably tell he knew what he was doing. He did an excellent job from beginning to end and I am 100% satisfied with the work and price. This is a quality tattoo establishment, and I would absolutely recommend it anyone.

My experience consists of driving 1 and 1/2 hours, being treated rudely and the person at the front desk gave me zero information. I get there and he tells me I need my daughter's birth certificate, so I drive all the way to charles city to get and I come back and he tells me she needs an I.D. I was seriously ill informed as to what I needed. So on my daughter's birthday she could not get her birthday gift. I will never step foot in there again, nor will I be quiet about my experience!! Thank goodness I have my own true and tried tattoo artist! This place is a joke!!!

There's a old saying that says you get what you pay for. Yes they are more expensive then the shop up the street, in the next town or that friend of the friend who can do it. No matter if it's your first time or your an old pro at getting piercing/ tattoos they ( Josh and brad) make you feel comfortable and relaxed. If you ever have a question or concern about after care they are there to answer your question and take a look to ease your mind. ( specially if it's your first piercing/ tattoo) the shop and artists are clean and professional. Side note : Book early if you want brad for a tattoo he normally books out months in advance....

Awful. Booked appointment weeks in advance only to show up on time for appointment to find locked doors. Co-owner finally answered and blamed other owner's son for screwing up the appointments, said that wasn't the way he ran his business, but wasn't willing to stay and do the simple tattoos himself. Completely disappointing.

Went in to buy some plugs. There were a couple people in front of me, no big deal. When my turn came, the guy at the front desk decided to help 2 people in line behind me, which were a consultation for a tattoo and scheduling a touch up for a tattoo. He knew I was there just to buy some plugs, a 5min MAX, but decided to help these other people first. Walked out without buying anything after waiting there for 45mins.
