The lack of human respect you have is hilarious. Respect digital privacy. Thank you for saying “so sorry”…but if you truly were sorry you’d refund my money. I don’t want any of your other artists. They don’t do the style or quality that I want. You made the rule and can surly change the rule. What do you get from keeping my deposit? That’s theft. I am not getting a tattoo with you. i cannot remember how i came upon slc ink tattoo, but i read the reviews and everyone spoke so highly of HANS. so obviously, i went and the whole experience with him was amazing !!! he is an artistic genius, i went in having no idea what i wanted other than a sunflower and he came back with a BEAUTIFUL design. and on top of all his amazing work, he is such a nice and welcoming person. if you’re looking for an original and gorgeous tattoo, HANS is your artist !!

If you have the chance, you should definitely get tattooed by Kristen Otero. Not only is she one of the most kind, down to earth, relatable human beings I have ever met, she is insanely talented!!! I've gotten tattooed by her 6 times in the past 5 months. She has the ability to put you to ease in her chair, design there most badass designs ever, and if you get the chance to snuggle Darwin while you're getting your tattoo... It's pure heaven.

I recently got a tattoo from Hans on my arm and it was one of my favorite experiences to date. Hans is an amazing artist with pieces like no other. We spent 14 long hours together and it was a wonderful experience. This shop is clean and feels comfortable and homey. I probably won’t get pieces from anyone else for as long as Hans is at Raventhorn Manor. 10/10 would recommend getting a tattoo from any of the artists at this studio.

Empress Tea & Tarot

So this company makes you put a deposit down to make a tattoo appointment - makes sense they want you to show up for the appointment. Here is where the rule doesn't make sense....they won't refund your money if the tattoo artist quits and you don't like any of the other artists tattoo styles. If you make a deposit for a specific artist they won't give your money back if that artist quits. Don't put down a deposit because you can't get it back if the company fails to keep that tattoo artist hired.

The artist I initially booked with had postponed my appointment, then had me come in a couple hours later the day of. When I came in, she was no where to be found and instead, a tattoo artist named Melanie offered to do my tattoo instead. All I can say is, Melanie is an absolute ANGEL. She sat down and drew the design with me, listened to every concern, and incorporated every detail I wanted. Her studio was extremely clean and she’s constantly sanitizing everything as well! Because she made getting my first tattoo so so awesome, I booked another one soon after with my sister for a bigger piece. Although we were supposed to get them done the same day, we ended up splitting the sessions into 2 days. Melanie was honest in saying it’d be better that way, as the first one ended up taking way longer than we thought, and she didn’t wanna push and end up with something she wasn’t proud of. I appreciated her more than anything for her total honesty in that moment. To summarize, even though my initial tattoo artist didn’t leave the best impression, Melanie stepped up and I couldn’t have been more grateful that the universe sent me to her. All my tattoos have healed perfectly and they look amazing! I’ve recommended her to several people, and they’ve all been happy with their tattoos and their experiences as well. I’m so glad to say that I’ve now gone and booked a third session with her as well and couldn’t be more excited! And in addition, everyone I’ve met there so far, including the owner, has been extremely nice and polite(:

Hans Serpa is a true artist! His entire process Is absolutely incredible, from my first consultation, to freehand painting with a Japanese calligraphy brush on my arm, before diving into the real tattoo- so full of color, detail and thought. I’m so happy with my beautiful tattoo! Best watercolor tattoo artist in the world is right here in SLC.

Hans tattooed the most beautiful unalome on my leg. His artwork speaks for itself. What I can tell you is that he is a beautiful person to work with. Down to earth and easy to talk to. You spend a lot of time with your tattoo artist obviously so I prefer to enjoy the company.

This was my first experience at Raventhorn manor, and it was a great one. The staff was friendly. I had previously booked a spot with Colin Senesac, before he moved into the manor, and I believe I was his first client there. There aren't enough words to express my gratitude for Colin. He worked on a very large cover up for me and you'd never know that anything was there before. He's a rare breed. He uses the best equipment and supplies to make the experience as enjoyable as it can be. His attention to detail is impeccable. He took my idea and turned it into a masterpiece. Cover ups can be a scary thing, and you only hope that if you do your research and find the right person for the job, that it will actually turn out ok, and you'll be able to walk around with confidence once again. I'm here to tell you that Colin is a genius behind the needle. He found a way to turn my arm into a literal masterpiece. His knowledge of the human body coupled with his raw talent made for great conversation along the way, but also enabled me to understand what actually goes on when ink interacts with skin. He puts his heart and soul into learning everything he can about his craft, and it shows. You can trust that this man can and will change your life with his work!

Long story short, I was visiting family in Utah and made an impromptu decision to do a cover up that is on my rib cage. I did some research and came across SLC Ink Tattoo, the person I spoke to referred me to HANS located in their other shop called Raventhorn Manor because his style is similar to what I was looking for. Hans was very friendly, accommodating and worked with my limited time schedule! The location was easily accessible, the inside was beautiful, spacious, quiet, and clean. Hans made me feel comfortable, he was reasonable, patient with all my questions, and explained everything he was doing as it was happening. Our session took about 4.5 hours, Hans would let me sit up when I needed it and let us take small breaks when the pain became too much for me. Overall, I had an amazing experience and my tattoo came out beautifully! Hans is a committed artist and is open to new ideas and concepts and it shows in his art.

I spent the longest time finding a tattoo artist I connected with, when I found him I set an appointment and gave my deposit to the shop. A week before my appointment the artist left the shop. I decided to follow him to a new shop, it has now been over a month and I have yet to have my deposit back. Raventhorn has made it nearly impossible and when I do get responses it’s them asking for proof that the artist cancelled my appointment… the shop canceled my appointment because the artist left. This should not be this hard. I will never go to or suggest Raventhorn as they are very unprofessional.

I’m about ⅓ the way through a full sleeve with Kristen and every time we work on it I am totally blown away!! First, let’s talk cleanliness: this place is spotless and I watched Kristen prep her space for me from the lobby (she didn’t know I was watching). This woman sanitized every surface in the place!! Even places I wouldn’t be touching or exposed to! Second, her demeanor and attitude were wonderful. You could tell the only things she cared about were my comfort, satisfaction, and a great outcome. Finally, my sleeve look freakin’ amazing. The details are so crisp and her interpretation of my ideas are spot on!! In sum, Kristen is the only artist that will ink me from now on or until she hangs up her machine and rides into the sunset!!! An amazing place, environment, and a best-in-class artist. Lady’s beware my tattoo artist was being very flirty with me and it made me uncomfortable, even though I told him I wasn’t single. After my appointment was finished he proceeded to text me and tried to get me to cheat on my boyfriend. They have many great artists but I wouldn’t recommend Shannon to any girls that may be put off by that kind of behavior. I was told he was still working there after I was told he isn’t with them anymore.
