Saw Day. She did three of my tattoos. They are perfect. The colours really pop and the lines are consistent in thickness and flow. She is very pleasant and she is also very professional. I would return to get tattoos from her and reccomend anyone to her, if they are looking for that style. One of her tats was a coverup (shown) and it is bright, and colorful and left no trace of the tattoo below.

I have gotten piercings from Motor city since I was in highschool(I am now 22 and graduated college) and I thought it was about time for me to write a review. I have gotten my belly, nose, cartilage, two regular lobe, and hip dermal(S) at Motor City. Not all of these piercings are in anymore since some I removed because I outgrew some. I cannot stress how amazing motor city is. Never have I had any issues with something rejecting, or being pierced crooked or getting infected. I just went recently for my birthday to get a second cartridge done. They are so friendly and professional. Justin is amazing and he will make you feel relaxed. He is an amazing professional and I urge anyone in the area to go to him for piercings. He explains everything in detail both while he is doing it and also about the aftercare. I will never go to another place!

I recently had a tattoo done at this place of business and regret it every day. During the consultation he presented me a stencil with the font & style of the tattoo that we agreed upon and told me that he could create. The resulting tattoo lines were crude & thick lines that I feel wrecked the tattoo. None of the 3 separate butterflies look like the stencil at all. When I returned to show them the results, the owner had 2 other artists look at his work said neither felt they could help me fix it. They said it was made with too thick of black needles and that apprentices usually don't know how to use thin needles. None of that was indicated to me in advance at the consultation. I knew the tattoo artist was learning the trade but believed in him and Motor City that it would be done right. They made me sign an agreement that since he was still learning it may not be perfect for a reduced fee. The reality is that no other artists checked in on the process, in fact he was having a conversation with the others (including the owner) while working on my tattoo. I followed the tattoo care instructions that they provided. I did do a light work out a few days later but nothing strenuous. (I ran on a treadmill...) I am disappointed that I felt like this person was competent to provide the tattoo as well as the stencil he prepared for me. I am disappointed that if they have enough concern for a disclaimer that they knew he was still learning, that they didn't have someone check in on his work or at the very least not potentially distract him during the process. I am disappointed that when I returned to see if they could help that they couldn't. They made me feel like I was to blame for trusting their employee. They made me feel like one trip to the gym somehow was to blame, They did offer laser correction for 50% reduced fee, but that still adds costs to me and added pain. I feel that they should better stand behind their customer. I have to look at the tattoo every day and wish I never went there. I agreed to a stencil that was everything I wanted but didn't get. Without prejudice, these are just my opinions, of which I am entitled to..

Day is incredible. I’ve searched for years to find ”my” artist. Somebody I can trust to draw anything and I know I will love it. Somebody that makes me feel like she’s just as excited as I am for the tattoo. Honestly, if Day moved to Kentucky, I would still find a way to get tattooed by her. Every time. She is so easy to talk to, every single piece she does is vibrant and she is SO KIND. The entire shop compliments each other and makes you feel a part of the team. I went here a couple years ago cam (my artist) was awesome, very nice, very good, but the customer service I received from the front was a joke. i got over charged twice because they started charging me when my appointment was not when I was in the (tattoo) chair and I called the lady out on it and she told me nothing she could do. Have no interest in going back rather have a half finished tattoo then pay 150 and hour to sit in the waiting room.

I was at Motor City Tattoo for a permanent makeup course. Lorena runs her Permanent Makeup academy from there. It's called Canadian Permanent Makeup Academy. I was searching for a place to get certified in PMU where tattooing knowledge was at the core. I wanted to know more about the skill of tattooing than makeup. It was A1! And it's in Oshawa! Lorena gives excellent attention and focus, it was reasonably priced and I learn so much more than I had in other courses. I walked away with a Blood borne pathogen certification. Would you believe I have taken other courses in permanent makeup and I didn't get that certification. It's seriously frightening to think of that. Motor City Tattoo is a clean and professional studio, bright and roomy. The artists are so creative and talented. No one is allowed on the floor without a blood borne pathogen certification.

Had to take my daughter in to see him because she was having some issues with her ear cartilage piercing and he was able to remove it safely and offer some great advice to mange the keloid that had formed (different studio and artist for the initial piercing). I have been a customer of Motor City Tattoos for over a decade now. I have seen other shops, even gotten tattoo’d elsewhere on the odd occasion, but nothing delivers a better overall experience. Safety, the main concern, is top notch. Every member of the team is concerned with the utmost safety and wellbeing of their clients. They have a collection of some of the best artists in Canada, and dollars for doughnuts you aren’t going to find a nicer team of people. As long as I have blank canvass available, I will be going back to Motor City for my tattoos.

Went here for a few things. First was to get my navel re-pierced, the experience was good, staff is great and makes sure you are ready. They offer snacks if you need it. Second experience was to get two tattoos done. Overall, the healing process went by effortlessly and the rates aren't terrible. Minus the wait times to get in for tattoos, the entire experience was great.

Because almost every time I go to visit I usually leave with a new peircing(s) somewhere, thank you to Kyle for that ;) This far I've had a tattoo done by #benoitdelongchamp my left full frontal shin from under the knee down to the ankle and a slight wrap to the sides. I could not have asked for anything other than what I got. It is phenomenal!!! People were stopping me all summer, gushing over my tattoo. It was a 7hr sit. So it was a long day. But super super happy we got'er done in one sitting and she's a beauty. Sad winter, wearing pants. LOL. I thought I was walking in for a session of laser tattoo removal and ended up reworking my finger tattoo. Lorena was awesome about going over all of my options whether it be to remove or not. I decided to think about it which she was totally cool with. Trevor had some free time and sat down bouncing ideas back and forth about how we could cover up my current tattoo. He ended up drawing something on my finger free hand and I absolutely love it! Very disappointed! Had my belly button pierced here and had multiple issues. First, it was pierced way too high, piercer did not show me where he was going to pierce, he just went for it. Secondly, I was given no aftercare instructions (luckily this was not my first piercing and I knew what to do to take care of it, but if it was my first piercing I would've been in trouble). I had to go to the shop to get the jewelry changed as it was too short and prevented the piercing from healing; even with the new long piece he put it, it was still too short. Ultimately, had to remove it with having it for less than 2 months! Waste of money!

Great experience here! Clean and very friendly staff. My sister and I walked in to get piercings done and Kyle took us right away. Was a busy place in general though, it looked like every artist was busy tattooing. From what I saw the tattoos were really great too! It's very open inside the shop, not a lot of privacy but they can provide walls! I don't know if there is other piercers, but I recommend Kyle. He has a very chill demeaner, which calmed my nerves a lot. He was gentle and fast. You can tell he has plenty of experience! I went in to check out the studio a few weeks back because I wanted to get a couple piercings done and I was very impressed with how clean and welcoming it is. I met with Kyle and he told me how they do the piercings how everything is cleaned. Fast forward to a couple days ago, When i went and got my nose pierced twice. Kyle made me feel very comfortable and told me exactly what he was doing every step of they way. Afterwards he gave me some after care instructions and told me how long it would take to heal. I’m extremely happy with this studio and I’m even thinking of getting a tattoo done here too. I will definitely be coming back here for any other piercings I want done.

Regardless of how grumpy or miserable you are while getting tattooed she always comes by with a smile to check up on you or just to say hello. Would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome tattoo. Best advice I could give would be to listen to what they have to say regarding artist choice and be patient for your booking. A tattoo shouldn't be rushed and picking a quality artist from the start is extremely important.

Best experience I've ever had! Went into Motor City Tattoo Studio for the first time the other day. I was super nervous.....my plan was to get a piercing I've wanted for years. I was warmly welcomed by their receptionist and then introduced to Kyle who would be doing the piercing. Kyle was very understanding and explained everything beforehand including aftercare. He did two side by side in my right helix/cartilage 4 years ago and he re-pierced my nose today (I took it out ~10 years ago). I had my tattooed eyeliner removed by Lorena. It was done by someone else who left me with an uneven line on my lower eye. Lorena was able to rid me of this horrible uneven line and I trust her so much that I am having her re tattoo my eyes :) she is so sweet and very educated about her services. I would highly recommend her for the removing of a cosmetic tattoo done by someone else. And if you want to avoid that all together I would also highly recommend her applying your cosmetic tattoo in the first place!

After having a bad experience at a beauty spot I decided to try Motor City. Kyle pierced my 6 month old daughter's ears quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately I changed her earrings from the originals and my daughter kept pulling them out. When I called for guidance Kyle was fantastic. He explained he would put an earring with a flat back. My daughter wouldn't be able to pull it out. It's been two weeks and she has stopped playing with them and no longer tries to pull them out. I was worried going in as my daughter is now 2 and doesn't keep a mask on very well. The establishment takes your temperature and follows all the safety recommendations.
