Had an awesome experience at Key City today! Everyone at the shop was super friendly, welcoming, and professional. As this was only my second tattoo (first done elsewhere), I had some anxiety going into the experience. I was definitely in good hands with John Rippey! He did an amazing job and was super professional throughout the whole experience. Also-- the place was decked out in spooky Halloween decor which was pretty dope. Would definitely come back to Key City for my next tat!

I can’t say enough great things about this place. Appointment process was so easy. As soon as I arrived to my appointment, my artist, Nate already had my tattoo draft drawn up and absolutely NAILED it. The shop is so clean to the point I complimented them. I felt extremely comfortable the whole time. They don’t have amazing reviews for nothing. My tattoo is so incredibly clean and well done. Every detail is amazing. I can’t stop staring at it. Nate was so professional, polite and got the job done quick even though he did not miss a detail. I am beyond impressed by this entire experience. I took my Grandson to Key City Tattoo Parlor today for his first tattoo! The shop was clean and organized obviously very well managed. We had an appointment and we’re there to see Maddie. I'm thrilled with my piercings that Liv Estep has done! She's performed three different cartilage piercings for me, and has switched out jewelry for my conch piercing. The jewelry she uses ranges in price, but they're all stunning. They're all incredibly high quality and beautiful. I have a low pain tolerance and am a self described baby about blood and needles. She put me at ease and made the process as pain free as possible. Shoutout to her apprentice, Mae! Mae was so warm and welcoming, I can't wait to come back and be pierced by her as well. John Glessner is absolutely the best! As a matter of fact the entire staff is incredible. First and only tattoo, 1/2 sleeve chest and back piece and I couldn’t be happier. Have been contemplating the work for years ended up seeing a buddy of mine who had Gless as well and knew this was it. Immediately made me feel at ease and the art is incredible. 5 stars is not enough for him.

Positive experience working with Gary for my snake tat. Very professional shop. Worked with me to create the design I wanted from my photos of this snake. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on the tattoo just in the last few months that I’ve had it. Nothing bad to say about this place at all. Pricing was reasonable. Remember you get what you pay for!

This was my first time going to see Liv for piercings, but she was so highly recommend by my friend that I knew I was going to be in good hands. Liv pierced my septum and her wonderful apprentice, Maeghan, pierced my cartilage, and they both turned out so good! Liv and Maeghan were clean, professional, kind, and created a very welcoming environment which eased my nerves. I will definitely be back to get pierced by them again!

Gary brought my conceptualization to life in a way that was better than anything I could have imagined. The line work was impeccable and the illusions he was able to create just with black and gray was amazing. The shade of red he used for the pop of color was perfect. The environment was clean and everyone was friendly. I will definitely be going back for any future tattoos.

Dave is a incredibly talented artist, overlaid my old tattoo and made it look better than the original. My big thing was to have the white in the American and Norwegian flag white, not just skin-colored white. Dave made this happen, and I am very pleased with the result. I was impressed with the precautions they take here and it was very clean. I felt comfortable. The price was reasonable.

When I arrived for my appointment, everyone was very professional, the place was clean and welcoming, and I felt very comfortable with the COVID precautions they had in place. Nate did my tattoo, and he was great! He let me take my time figuring out the size and placement, and did a wonderful job. Love my new tattoo and can definitely recommend Key City and Nate!

TLDR: Super Friendly, Super Responsive--Great Customer Service. --------- I have wanted a tattoo for a while, but I've been pretty hesitant. I reached out to three different tattoo establishments in Frederick just to make sure I was giving due diligence. I made sure to follow each of their recommended "Contact Us" steps, and only Key City responded. They responded within a day and a half. After a week neither of the other two have responded. AND the responses they gave were courteous and very helpful! Would Recommend!
