I started off very impressed with how everything was inside the shop. They were nice and very welcoming. I came in with a friend while she got her tattoo. I was initially interested in coming back to get a tattoo for myself. That changed when I was talked to like a child by the guy tattooing my friend. I Don’t know his name but I know people should not be talked to in that manner. Poor customer service ruined my whole experience and I will not be coming back. Very rude.

I was just a walk-in that they decided to take on in between appointments. Everyone was super friendly, Jean-Luc and Zach talked to me for a bit while waiting for a finalized design. Ryan Stark helped me finalize my tattoo design and did a great job. I love it and it healed great. Definitely going back.

Although it is an odd place for a tattoo parlor, they do a fantastic job. My wife and I both use the same artist, Mike Bugenhagen. I have 1 cover up and 2 tats by Mike. Just started the 3rd, which is a portrait, which will take another session. My wife did her research, tried him 2 years ago, and she lets no one else ink her now. She has traveled 3 1/2 hours when he did a show out of state, and today will be her 6th or 7th that Mike has done. The shop is very clean, in a beautiful building, easy to access from I-20 or 75/85. Staff is awesome and love talking with guests and clients. Prices are pretty standard, but the quality is what stands out. If looking for a tattoo, this is the place. All the artists are very good, not just Mike, but for my wife and I, he is our only artist. Times fill quickly, but if you have to book in advance...it is worth the wait for a true tattoo. If you just can't wait for the quality, there are hundreds of tattoo "show" shops in Atlanta. Just remember, rushing to get it because you want it vs. carefully deciding what you want and being willing to wait to get it perfect is two completely different things. Remember that if you choose someone else spur of the moment, then wake up the next day with "regerts". Below are a several Mike has done for us.

My experience with John Luke was pleasing. This young man was very accommodating and kind despite the fact that my daughter and I were initially told that we’d have to leave a deposit and schedule an appointment and return at a later date. I sought out to have my dearly departed MOTHER’S personalized signature tattooed on my hand 6 months ago from another tattoo parlor and was told that it wasn’t possible unless I used another in (store font). Patience is definitely a blessing to have as I waited 6 months and followed my daughter’s lead to Atlanta’s Gate City Tattoo and John Luke took one look and simply made it BEAUTIFULLY happen on the inside of my right wrist! My “Love ???? Mama” tattoo is identical to my MOTHER’S signature! I’m very pleased. The facility was very clean too. 4 Stars ONLY due to the one gray haired gentleman that sat at the front counter when we walked in; hence the reason I noted that John Luke was accommodating (Great young man!) and Ryan was pleasant too! My daughter’s butterfly tattoos turned out beautifully!
