I’ve been to lots of piercing parlours, but I have never felt more reassured and impressed at Vanity. It is super clean, especially now with COVID with only one person in at a time. Marie was so nice and patient in helping me pick out exactly what I needed. She was extremely informative and offers lots of good advice for your setup too. Bonus points for including the selection of pronouns in your form, it made me smile! Absolutely gorgeous selection of jewelry. Of course, pricier than the cheap stuff from the mall but I think it’s worth it for the quality of jewelry they sell. Will be coming back again soon!

Recently went in for a nostril piercing here and could not be happier with the customer service, selection of services, and selection of jewellery. The owner/senior piercer is absolutely lovely. Due to swelling, my jewellery fell off, but I was able to go in first thing the next morning to have that remedied at no additional charge and with great customer service. It's about time Ottawa had a piercing shop like this! Can't wait to go back. Thanks so much!!

I went and got my nose pierced today and had the most amazing experience! The staff is so welcoming and nice! I had my piercing done by Marie and she explained every single thing that she was doing and walked me through the whole process, which I loved because it eased my nerves. Professional shop, very clean and sterilization is top notch. The jewelry available is beautiful and suits many styles. I got an ear curating session to pick out just the right pieces before my piercings. Piercing itself was done perfectly, the piercer checked in with me every step of the way and made sure I was completely content with cost, location of piercings and jewelery before moving ahead. Never felt rushed. Will be returning for my next piercing!

Went in this week to get my second holes done on both of my lobes. Vanity was very clean and bright on the inside. I was made to feel very comfortable and not rushed through my choice of jewelry. All of the procedure was thoughtfully detailed by my wonderful piercer. She took the time to ensure I was happy with the placement of my new piercings. The procedure was fast and hardly hurt at all. She also ensured I knew how to properly care for my new piercings before leaving the shop. If I ever get another piercing done I will definitely go back, I couldn't recommend them more.

Accidentally left a 4 star review instead of 5 star - oops! Although I have not yet booked an ear piercing service here, I did receive eyelash extension services here - which I acknowledge is a private business separate from Vanity. However, my experience being at Vanity was a very pleasant one as I found their staff to be very kind and accommodating and the environment to be bright and comfortable. Even when not providing a direct service, any interaction with a future or potential client is part of service delivery. If I were to consider getting piercings in the future, I would definitely consider getting them done at Vanity based off of this experience I had.

And if you want another piercing done you can bring the earring they gave you back and re-pierce with that earring again so you don't have to buy another earring which is great.

Best place to get a piercing! They're the only place in Ottawa that use real titanium or gold initial jewelry (great for nickel allergies) with a wide selection of ends. Marie was super nice and informative through every step. I'm definitely coming back for new jewelry and new piercings in the future ????

I have been wanting a daith piercing for some time and after checking out several shops I chose Vanity. My experience was wonderful. Martine was my piercer and from the moment I walked in she was extremely professional, inviting and knowledgeable. I was a bit nervous but since she has such a calm demeanor I was able to relax and enjoy the experience. I was so comfortable I also got a helix at the same time. I like that this shop specializes in piercings only (no tattoos). Martine explained every step as she was doing the piercings so there were no surprises. It has been 4 days since I had the piercings and everything is healing well (no issues whatsoever). If you are thinking of having a piercing I would highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

If you are intimidated to get peirced at a tattoo shop, this is a great alternative. (Personally I don't mind going to tattoo shops and have before many times - but Vanity for sure has a more welcoming environment than I've ever experienced). Super professional, literally will walk you through every step. I went in to get a old piercing re-done, and it was great. They also have sweet options for jelwery that ranges in $. Plus, Vanity is women owned so that's a nice bonus.

My experience at Vanity Ottawa was spectacular. The space is very clean, and the staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming. My piercing's look great and are both straight and symmetrical. My only criticism is that the jewelry prices on the website are different from what I was told when I arrived. The titanium post (which is what I got) is listed at $30/each on the website, but in reality is $45/each. Additionally, they outfit you with a longer post (ex. 8mm) when piercing (due to the swelling), and then you have to come back to buy a shorter post (ex. 6mm), which are each $10 (which I cannot find any mention of on the website). So for two piercings I ended up paying $50 more than I had anticipated. Again, my experience with Vanity was excellent, and I have no issue paying the price I did for a good quality piercing. I would just suggest they update their website, as I would have preferred to know the accurate pricing information beforehand so I could've budgeted properly.

I originally went in for a navel piercing but unfortunately did not have the correct anatomy for an adequate healing process. Tine was very knowledgeable and clear in her explanation. I’m so glad she carried out the consultation - I feel comfortable that she explained all risks involved, she has your best interest at heart! I chose to get a helix piercing instead and she very kindly fit me into her schedule. Hygiene was immaculate, and she was super friendly and kind. I’ll definitely be going back, and I’d 100% recommend Vanity and Tine for any advice or piercings!

I had gotten my ears pierced (lobes) at a piercing/tattoo shop on Rideau street in August 2019- and for three months my ears had been miserable; not healing, in pain and had irritation bumps. After going back to the studio twice for advice, he simply told me it was normal and to use alcohol (which I read online is a big no-no). I did not trust his opinion so I gave up and looked online for advice. That's when I came across Vanity- and I'm so thankful I did!!!! The second I came in, there was no judgement and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. She looked at my ears and concluded they were irritated; she noted they had used the wrong jewelry shape and I was most likely having a reaction to the metal. We chose a nice titanium pair (more expensive but worth it if you're having issues) and she removed my earrings; although my ears were in pain, she removed them with care. After cleaning my ears, she inserted the new earrings. It has been 5 days and they've never felt better! It was refreshing speaking with someone who had full knowledge and eased my anxieties!!!

I was really impressed with the service I received at Vanity. My piercer, Keri, walked me through every step of the process and answered all of my questions. Knowing that everything was well sterilized really reassured me. The piercing part didn't even hurt as much as I thought it would! I got one additional piercing on my left and right ear lobe. I don't notice any swelling or pus or anything for that matter, and no pain either, and it's only been days since I got the piercing. It's a little difficult to sleep since I'm not supposed to put pressure on my earring by sleeping on my side, but using a travel pillow has worked ok. Really impressed with the service. I like their jewelry too. 10/10.

I got my Conch piercing last week here. They had a great selection of jewelry to pick from. They walked me through every step from what she was doing to when she was doing it. Also had some great after care tips. I was nervous due to piercings not healing in the past but after one week of following the tips she gave my ear feels better than a year letter with the other ones. Will go back again for new jewelry and piercing and will tell everyone to give it a try. It's really a get what you pay for feeling in a good way. ????

I came into your shop, with the pink curtains and the beige couch with the pillows and the reception counter on the left, i had dealt with a young lady who is brunette, wear a plaid shirt and Jean's and has a septum piercing. Thankyou very much, you cannot assume that everyone who leaves a bad review of your shop is confusing you with someone else.
