It's unfortunate that I have to make this review as I tried settling this with the owner Julie. I went in on Monday to get my tongue pierced , reception was great and even paid $3.00 out of her own pocket for me so I wouldn't have to pay the $3.00 ATM fee again since I didn't have enough change on me. Kip did my piercing, everything seemed to be fine until that evening when i received a high fever.( I have gotten my tongue pierced about 10 years ago and know how it is). When i woke up I had a pretty big bruised on the right side of my tongue and seemed like my salivary gland under my tongue was super red and swollen, throughout the day the right side of my neck, the gland was very swollen and sore. I became worried. I called them to update them and the receptionist told me that Kip was not in and couldn't offer me any help other than going to the hospital to check. I ended up reaching out to another place to ask for information and she was very helpful and guided me on what to do, on top of that very surprised that i received a tongue piercing as places were not advised to perform oral piercings during this time. That same night once again had another high fever , my tongue was super swollen and barely fit in my mouth and both side of my neck was sore. I reached out to the owner via Instagram to explain to her my situation and told her I will be coming by the next day after work to speak with them, she responded back with " Sounds like cCOVID and not from the piercing, and told me not to come in for another two weeks and go get tested for Corona virus" I woke up to this with such disappointed. I called the shop once again and was advised that the KIP will call me when hes in , during this i had a virtual appointment with a doctor because i can barely talk and was in extreme pain. The doctor says sounds like I have an infection due to a blocked gland and was put on meds for the next 7 days. I reached out to Julie once again to let her know whats going on, she asked me to send her my medical report to prove that this was from the piercing and not covid. i explained to her that i am not willing to pay more money for a medical report since I had paid $100 for the piercing, now another $55 for the antibiotics and now for a report... She made this very difficult for me, i advised her that i am a manager at my work and i am in extreme pain and can barely talk. She claimed that shes been a piercer for 27 years and this is not caused by the piercing and its COVID... after this i demanded my money back and said not to proceed without that medical report, i sent her a picture of my prescription for antibiotics , but was not good enough... Julie ended up blocking me on Instagram and told me not to contact her or the shop. I ended up getting the medical report and paid $30, went on my business instagram and sent that to her with hopes of a resolution. but no response. I would not recommend this place to anyone due to the professionalize by the owner. I felt like she treated me like a child and did not believe me and never received a follow up call by KIP.

Got my nipples pierced a week ago and I felt really comfortable with Kip. My friend was nervous to get hers done, but kip was patient and understanding. There was a kinda long wait, but it was worth it for the quality treatment we recieved from all staff.

This experience was defiantly the worst customer service I’ve received in my life. Came to this shop excited to get 2 tattoos and was promised initially that I’d have it done if I came back in 1 hour. I was with my friends from out of town so we went to explore the city in the meantime. We came back 45 minutes later and was asked to come back after another hour. We came back after half an hour and were told to wait while they did tattoos on 2 other people who came after us. At this point we’ve waited a total of 4 hours. When I approached the person at the desk he told us the artist wouldn’t be able to do the tattoo until an hour later and would only do 1 tattoo. So after 5 hours I wouldn’t even get what I wanted. My designs were extremely simple and the second one wouldn’t take more than 15 minutes. The artist was also extremely rude and unapologetic. If he has been honest and told us he wouldn’t do it today I would’ve appreciated it instead of wasting my friends time who came from out of time. Also how is it possible to be off by 5 hours? I’ve gotten tattoos before and this is by far the most unprofessional service I’ve gotten. There was no remorse or compensation for my time wasted. I could tell they did not take us seriously because we were young and the previous two clients were a mother-daughter duo. Do not recommend going here if you want decent service for something you’re paying a large sum for.

I was nervous about coming back to Future Skin after a bad tattoo experience, but I had heard good things from a friend about their piercer, Kip. I'm really glad I went in again, because Kip was amazing. He was kind, patient, and excellent at what he does. I still wouldn't ever go back for another tattoo, but Kip's expertise is worth every penny for a piercing. I will definitely return to him for future piercings!

Guy at the front desk was awesome, wait for a walk in wasn’t long. The piercer we had was extremely unprofessional. I’ve had 10 piercings done at shops in the past, the guy here didn’t explain to my friend who was getting her first piercing and he didn’t bother to explain to her how to clean it or any after care. Was super impatient with her being nervous. Piercings came out nice but the piercer didn’t seem to care about the clients and yelled at us for taking a video saying there was a no filming sign (that wasn’t visible) and could have just politely told us instead of swearing at us. Don’t get a piercing here.

Future Skin gave me a great experience for some new piercings that I had been contemplating for a few years. I'm new to Ottawa, and was hesitant to walk into a studio that I wasn't familiar with, even after doing tons of research. I was drawn to the Monday piercing special so I decided to give it a try. Best decision! The piercer Kip was very professional and knowledgable, and made me feel completely comfortable. I would definitely recommend Future Skin.

I had 2 ear piercings done by Kip and had a great experience. The place is large so distancing is easy. Kip was really kind and explained everything clearly. The piercings were great and are healing well. The price for one piercing is more than some other places, but they come with a large bottle of antiseptic, which I haven't seen other places. I was greeted by the owner who was very nice and welcoming. My tattoo artist, Lance, was great. He walked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable. Lance did a great job on my first tat. He took his time and made sure that everything was right. I can tell he is very passionate about his craft. The staff was also great, coming in and saying hi to me, making sure I doing well. Future Skin was a great place to get my first tattoo and I will be returning for my future ones.

I had my old tattoo covered up from being a young teenager and the fellow at Futureskin in Ottawa really did a nice job. He took the old girlfriends initials and turned it into a cross with a dove on the bottom. Great job, professional and clean service. Love my tattoo. Everyone was very kind, however time management doesn’t seem to be the best. After waiting about 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment, I was told they were running slightly behind schedule and it would be another 30 minutes. After that 30 minutes was up it changed to another 40 minutes. Luckily I had no where to be and didn’t mind waiting, however a phone call or email letting me know they were running behind would have been nice, as I wouldn’t have had to sit in the shop/car for 2 hours.

Went to get my eyebrow pierced, it went super well, and the Wednesday piercing special is fantastic. If you do go, which I recommend, keep in mind that it’s a cash only establishment (I overlooked this). They do have an ATM though, so it isn’t a huge deal if you go without knowing :)

Would not recommend having tattoo removal here. Proper care instructions were not given. Also i was charged 150 plus tax for a half inch size tattoo. They said its the base price which is fine. I over heard the lady at the desk tell the customer behind me that her tattoo removal would only be 100 dollars. She showed me her tattoo and it was bigger than mine. When I inquired about all of this to the guy working there he said the owner told her that it could be done for her for 100 dollars. When I asked the owner Julie about this she had no idea about it and had to ask the staff. Her reply to this after she spoke to her staff was that they gave her that price because she was getting a cover up eventually? Not once was i or my boyfriend told about this deal. When he actually wants to cover his up after tattoo removal. As far as after care they never told us to stay out of the sun or put any kind of ointment on it afterwards. I've been to a specialty clinic for laser tattoo and they always put ointment on afterwards and told me to stay out of the sun. Not this place. Anyways the owner is a little unprofessional and I will not be going back. Also I've never been blistered as bad as this after tattoo removal. They actually burned my skin and now I have a chuck of my finger missing .. looks worst than it did :(

Future Skin is my first choice for my piercings. Not only is the staff (Julie, Kip and Jenny) super helpful and knowledgeable but they know how to treat and care for their customers. I have had 3 piercings done here and have brought friends in for their piercings and we have never had an issues. 5 out of 5 stars.

Monday evening i went to that shop see Emma, for a Medusa piercing. When she did the piercing, we had a bleeding period where she asked me if I was taking any med that could make me bleed easier. (Which isn't the case). She sold me the mouthwash and saline water bottle which says on the bottle: single usage" as, once it's opened, , since it is a bottle with a twist cap on it, it is not considered a free of bacteria. Anyways, Tuesday morning the jewelry was getting inside my lip , due to too short jelwry and over swollen lip. I started to bruised a lot. Went to two different tattoo shop near by my work and both places said the same thing : the piercing has been done on an angle which got the piercing to be done the the thickest part of the lips (supposed to be the thiniest or it will take forever to heal), jelwry too short and cheapest I could get. I ended up having to take it out. I sent an email to the owner asking for a refund has the piercing wasn't done properly and thatif we couldn't agree on that i will write this reco. So now, I'm adding to this place awful customer service. (I also posted pictures)

Absolutely love this place! Highly recommend coming here. I got 2 helix piercings and to be honest I was sceptical because of the Monday special ($60 for 2 piercings). After my second piercing I was on the verge of fainting and Julie was so caring. She gave me soda, put a wet cloth on my head and lied me down. She insisted I take a nap or stay for 15 mins to relax. Thanks for that:) the place is beautiful and very clean! I'm recommending my friends and family here for sure!!

I had my web previously pierced at Planet Ink for $75, but Juliette is really the only girl on Rideau street that will pierce a web. She's extremely good, but I wanted it that day and she wasn't in. I ended up taking it out and a year later wanted it done again. I walked down rideau for almost an hour trying to find someone who would do it but no one would. I went to the Planet Ink closer to Future Skin before I ended up at future skin and they said they would do it for $90 including tax, yet I still had to wait for a day where Juliette was in. I'm glad I walked the extra 10 minutes to Future Skin, because they were great, and it only cost me $55. In another comment someone was talking about being over charged, but when I went I forgot to get my change when I went down to get it done, and it was sitting on the counter still when I came back up. They were amazing, and I would defiantly recommend them.

AVOID THIS PLACE. The tattoo I wanted was simply a solid heart with two solid lines, and it’s only as big as a dime (charged for $100). 20 days after I got my tattoo, the solid lines became dotted lines, and the solid heart became a hollow heart. I do understand that any tattoos on fingers tend to fade more over time, but that does NOT mean I should get two dotted lines and a hollow heart only 20 days later. I don’t think I would be able to clearly see my original skin colour on a solid heart or a solid line if the tattoo was done properly. That could only happen when the needle didn’t go into the skin on that spot at the first place. SMH. Nice work Mat.

She presented me with a couple of options. She is truly a wonderful artist. She made me feel so comfortable during the process and made sure I was doing okay. This is the second time I have customer service issues with this parlor. I am beyond disapointed in both the quality and the service. I started having severe problems with my earlobe piercing (which is super rare and having 2 other piercings which were fine). My ear started bleeding alot right after Kip pierced it and I mentioned how much it hurt, he told me it would be fine. I cleaned my piercings every day morning and night for 4 months and I am STILL having issues. I went to the doctors and they've confirmed that I have an infection due to the type of earring (they put a belly ring instead of a regular ear ring) and the way the piercer did it. I had called the parlor 2months in with my concerns and was told to wait it out.I've now been advised by my doctor to remove the earing and never return to this piercer. I contacted them asking for half of my money back and they refused. Kip said my family doctor didn't know what she was talking about and i have a friend who was present when he said this as a witness. I urge you to NEVER go to Futureskin unless you want poor quality, non-professionals, bad customer service and problems following your procedure.

After paying my deposit and showing up 15 minutes early, sitting with an artist for over an hour to draw up my design, it being 4 lines and a circle. First off I would like to say that I do love the tattoo that I got but the experience was absolutely horrible, I gave two stars because at least I left with something I liked. I inquired about this shop through Instagram where I spoke with Julie the owner. I explained to her in detail where I wanted the tattoo and what font it was in (just a small script piece, very simple 5 words) and she said it was absolutely doable and quoted me 100$ and asked me to pay half as a deposit (yes, she said the word “half”) so I transfer the deposit and let her know my name for the booking which was a couple weeks later at 4pm. I arrive 15 mins early on the day of to ensure I could speak with the artist and confirm my ideas, I get to the counter and find out that they didn’t even book me under my name, they booked under my Instagram handle so I spent a good 10 mins arguing with the receptionist as she was saying I didn’t have an appointment. Eventually it was found and I spoke to the artist, but after speaking with him, Julie had relayed NONE of the information I sent her so I had to re-explain to him my vision. At this time he told me that what I wanted wasn’t possible and it would have to be in a totally different place than what I originally wanted. This frustrated me as Julie is supposedly 27 years experienced in this industry and she told me it was perfectly doable. Eventually we come up with a size and placement that works for both of us and he sets up his station and I get tattooed. By the time it’s done it’s 6:30 due to all of the confusion. I then go to the front desk where she tells me my tattoo will now be $320.. I’m sorry but WHAT?! No one could have told me this before I sat down? It was such a basic piece that I was told would be $100 and now it’s triple in price? I could’ve literally gone anywhere else and paid $80 for it it was so simple. And the fact that no one warned me about the price jump? You could say that I was being a “Karen” as I argued with the receptionist over the price but what was I to do? It was already on my body. So I had no choice but to pay this ridiculous amount and the receptionist proceeded to trash talk Julie, the owner. Saying how she’s not very smart and doesn’t know what she’s talking about when it comes to tattoos so these kind of discrepancies happen a lot. I am in no position to try and cost anyone there job but no employee should feel comfortable trash talking the owner or managers like that. Before I left I asked my artists name for Instagram and they refused to tell me because I was an “angry” customer and they don’t want the bad publicity. Well, I hate to tell you but here we are, welcome to bad publicity. I really hope people think twice before going here. Note: I find it funny that Julie changes the amount of years she’s been in the business so often.. seriously, check the one star reviews, a week ago it was 25 years and a month ago it was 20 years but on Instagram it says 27 years.. which one is it?! Another Note: Julie, please don’t comment saying you have no record of me coming in, I wouldn’t use my real name for stuff like this. Thanks.

Honestly .. I got a small heart tattoo in the summer from out of town and it was pink. Which I loved. But I hated that it faded so quickly. I went to Future Skin and was hoping they could brighten it up. I thought of adding shading this time. However, one artist was talking to another artist (his English must’ve not been too great cause he kept quiet the whole time) and he was explaining to him about what tattoo idea he had for me (which was also suggested a red colour instead of pink which I was effy about because I didn’t want it to look “gothicy” but he suggested it would look very nice and fade to a lighter red and what not). The guy who was doing my tattoo barely did the talking which worried me. I saw his portfolio which looked pretty nice. So I thought I was in good hands. But when it came time to starting he went ahead and started without a drawing previously of what it could look like with the “shading”. He kept asking me about the shading and I had to explain to him multiple times about how I wanted it and he kept saying okay. Anyhow.... my tattoo turned out okay... the “shading” wasn’t the shading I had hoped for. It was more of an outline. Then a month later I was really unhappy knowing that the linework was messy. They blamed it on my aftercare. I have 3 other tattoos that are pretty big and I’m familiar woth aftercare. However , I went back and had the original guy who thought of the idea to “fix” it up. I told him I wasn’t happy with the red so he suggested the same red mixed with a light magenta type colour saying it would pop out and he would fix the outline .... I don’t know. I thought I liked it. But after all of this mess I honestly just miss my original pink heart that was tatted. They just kept adding and messing it up. Now the linework looks the same. Lines not that straight and it looks so gothicy all because the shading wasn’t what I imagined. They were so nice which I appreciated as artists. But I’m going to pass on going back there because I’m so not happy and it’s right on my wrist. So ugly. Ugh. Oh well. I’ll learn next time to make sure they draw it out first.

My best, fastest, and easiest piercing experience ever. I am a rather impulsive person, so I randomly decided that I wanted to pierce my nose and my nipple. Luckily, it was a Monday, and the deal was 2 piercings for $55CAD, which is an amazing price for piercings, especially for Rideau Street, downtown Ottawa. Kip took me right in and sat me down. I would definitely recommend coming here for all your piercing needs! Also, see Juan for tattoo work. I have gotten 3 tattoos by him so far, and they are so beautiful and I get compliments for them all the time.

I would 100% recommend this place. I appreciate that Julie was quick to reply to my messages and was very accommodating. I was a bit of a handful with requesting artists and scheduling but she made me feel welcomed and did her best to make sure that there was a right fit for me. Unfortunately, since idea was bit unorthodox and complex, I wasn’t able to get my piece done. Juan was insightful and creative, and I’m glad that he was able to be honest about pointing out the cons of my idea. Julie even refunded me my deposit even though, I had a date set already and had a consultation. Most shops won’t do that. If you’re hesitant in booking with this shop, just talk to Julie. She created a safe and comforting environment for me to come and address any of my concerns. Julie was professional and kind throughout the whole process. My experience getting inked at Future Skin was quite terrible. My tattoo ‘artist’ agreed to take on the arm band tattoo I designed despite having no proficiency in this area. What I ended up with was a crooked armband that looked like it had been inked by a child. While my tattooer was working on me his colleague was urging him to hurry up so they could go to a concert which was clearly very unprofessional and this was after him arriving late to begin with. My experience turned from bad to worse a couple of days later when my tattoo became infected resulting in me having to take a course of antibiotics. This tattooer is a frequent smoker and I doubt he was following proper procedure and putting on new gloves after every smoke break as he should. I returned one last time yesterday to get a scheduled touch up appointment that I waited 2 weeks for and my tattoo artist didn’t even bother to show up! This was my experience with one particular artist and probably does not reflect on the average experience at this shop. Just know that you’re paying a premium due to this place’s location and not for the quality of the tattoos.

Good experience, studio is clean and modern, staff is kind and professional, and my artist did a good job on my tattoo, I love it. The only thing is that they charge A LOT more than a regular studio. They don't give you any estimates of the cost beforehand, they only tell you once you're at the actual appointment getting ready for the tattoo, and they only take cash, which if you're expecting to pay what a typical studio would charge you now need 3× more cash than planned. They also ask you to pay before you get the tattoo, which I'm sure they have their reasons, but if for any reason something goes wrong you've now overpaid for a "bad" tattoo. All in all the quality of the tattoo is good, and it was a pleasant experience, I would recommend this studio, but if you're not willing to pay almost $1000 for a 3 hour tattoo there are plenty of other studios in Ottawa with artists who can do just as good a job but for much cheaper.

First off, I'd like to say that if I could rate 0 stars I would. My girlfriend has a disability that is not visible but no less debilitating... We had contacted the owner, Julie, for accommodations the day prior to going to the appointment about her needing a support person with her at all times and were told that it would not be a problem. When we arrived in the shop we started having problems with accessibility. The receptionist, Brianna, was skeptical as my girlfriend does not look physically disabled and started asking for proof, which is not required under the AODA law, but we gave it to her. We showed her my girlfriend's medical letter as well as the emails exchanged between her and the owner. We were then led in the shop. After paying the piercer, Kip, he refused to allow me in with her. We then explained the situation and he kept refusing and walked away. Kip called the owner, came in front of my girlfriend and looked her up and down and then walked away and said "no she's not (disabled)". Then Kip gave my girlfriend the phone to talk to the owner and she was now changing the accommodations and refusing to obey to her medical letter. While on the phone with the owner, my girlfriend remained calm and collected while battling her medical episode. As you can imagine, this has caused her so much anxiety. The owner was rude, unprofessional and uncooperative. She refused to give us an explanation and then hung up as my girlfriend was asking politely to have her rights met. We were then refunded and told to leave the store immediately with no reason. We are extremely disappointed with the lack of service and respect.

Had a very pleasant experience for my third tattoo! I arrived as a walk in at 7pm wanting to get a small tattoo for their Monday tattoo promotion but didn't know how simple it had to be to fit the requirements of the promo, I last minute asked if they'd be able to do a much larger piece on my arm (about 6 inches) and without hesitation they agreed! I've been to alot of businesses who would treat you a little less respectfully when you arrive within the last hour of business but the owner Julie and my artist Juan were very welcoming and didn't make me feel bad at all. In the end Juan ended up staying 2 hours and a half past closing to finish up my tattoo and it turned out AMAZING. Bottom line , this is a very clean and professional studio also the only place to physically show me the brand new needles and tell me they are brand new without having to ask them. Juan made sure I was okay by offering me breaks regardless of the time! Very pleased with the service and even happier with my new ink ???? I will definitely be returning here in the future.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend going here. There are far better (many better) artists and businesses to support who do way better work for less. My daughter went here for a tattoo recently. She was quoted $700 for her thigh piece by the actual artist and ended up being charged $1080 by the receptionist after the tattoo was completed. I have had many tattoos by different artists in this city and all have charged by the hour, not loosely based on piece size which I think is just a way to be able to charge people for more money. Anyway, after it was finished and she told me about what happened (she had to go alone due to Covid and personally I feel she was taken advantage of as she’s not had much experience in the tattoo world yet) I told her she should contact the place to ask about the discrepancy in pricing. She did, and received an email back from the owner stating that she was never quoted that from the artist and that her piece was worth what she paid. The artist did a pretty good job I’ll admit, but it’s not centred and it’s not worth the price she paid. First of all, my daughter doesn’t know enough about tattoos to make up some fake quote to tell me about, and secondly, why would she? She’s not one to lie about things. So Julie (owner) if you read this, I do not appreciate you implying that my daughter was not telling the truth. Honestly, this place has had a bad reputation for being sketchy since the 1990s when I got my piercing there and I can see it hasn’t changed. I’m editing this review to respond to the owner but have not edited the above review. She absolutely did NOT ask for a full refund, only the difference between what she was quoted for the 3 hour tattoo, and what she ended up paying. I even have the email correspondence between the two of you as proof! This just proves to me you guys are shady. I have also taken a screen shot of your reply to this review in case you decide to edit your reply. I might add she was told to pay the total in advance of her tattoo which is also super odd. What if she was unsatisfied with the tattoo when finished but had already paid in full? A deposit or partial payment I can understand as that’s common when paying for a service. Yes she did pay in total but she was taken by surprise and didn’t know how to advocate for herself. Also, it doesn’t matter how long it’s taken me to review this. She didn’t wait long to reach out to you by email to try to sort the discrepancy out, however. I plan on taking my reviews and screenshots to Facebook and anywhere else I can so people can see for themselves if they like. The tattoo I wanted was simply a solid heart with two solid lines, and it’s only as big as a dime (charged for $100). 20 days after I got my tattoo, the solid lines became dotted lines, and the solid heart became a hollow heart. I do understand that any tattoos on fingers tend to fade more over time, but that does NOT mean I should get two dotted lines and a hollow heart only 20 days later. I don’t think I would be able to clearly see my original skin colour on a solid heart or a solid line if the tattoo was done properly. That could only happen when the needle didn’t go into the skin on that spot at the first place. SMH. Nice work Mat.

I spoke with Julie who was so kind, responded so quickly, answered every single one of my questions and was able to book me in within less than a week, and during corona as well so this was great. I have a friend who also git a helix piercing at the same time as me at a different place and they gave her straight jewelry instead of curved ones (i got the curved ones). Hers have healed wonderfully and look great, mine hurt despite taking care of them all the time and have been swollen since I got them .

Long wait. Unskilled artists. Very bad service. I was told to come on a friday for 8 PM. I showed up and was told they had to cancel because they overbooked. They told me to come back on Wednesday for 5 PM and that I would be getting free aftercare products as a result of this misunderstanding. so I showed up on Wednesday and they made me wait 3 hours until I could see the artist. He was professional and polite but not very talented. My piece is simply linework with no colouring and yet the lines are not straight and they are not of equal length. For this awful job I was charged $160 and they did not even give me whatever free aftercare nonsense they had promised for the trouble of the initial cancellation. Literally go anywhere else unless 3+ hour wait times are your vibe.

I've had all 15 of my piercings done at a different shop. I'm not picky and I don't have high expectations, I'm not looking for extreme or amazing customer service but I do look for a place that is knowledgeable. I came here because I had a friend that highly recommended it. And she told me they had good specials on piercings. I've never gotten my piercings anywhere else before but I thought I'd give this place a chance and I was extremely excited. My commute is over an hour to get here so when I came on Saturday and they told me that their piercer was on vacation I was disappointed. of course I understood so I gathered all the information I needed and I decided to come the next day as I was told I would be able to get it (three piercings). Once I got home that night, the information that I was given did not match what they had online so I had to call back for clarifications. then the next day after my commute I arrived there to find out that their piercer was sick and not available. At that point I was not happy at all but understood that they can get sick as well. I asked the receptionist that they the same questions in hopes of perhaps coming another day in the future, but the information desk receptionist gave me was not what the previous receptionist had told me and they seem to have different answers. They also had mixed information about their piercer, one said they were on vacation and the other said they don't have a piercer on Saturdays. (Yep they have a special for piercing specifically on Saturday) I was not happy with the lack of knowledge and experience of the receptionist that I saw on both days. And I definitely was not happy about their piercers being on vacation and sick for two days in a row. of course I understand that that can happen but personally from a customer's experience and this being the first time that I came to the shop, I will not come again. It does not matter if their prices and specials are cheaper the confusion and disappointment I felt is not worth it and I will pay to go anywhere else.

Staff is very friendly, I imagine they are great at tattoos and piercings but if you are looking for laser removal look elsewhere. I was drawn in by the lower price but as with all things you get what you pay for, after 20+ sessions I am left with a tattoo that has lightened slightly and a great deal of scar tissue. The laser they use is an inferior product and will not deliver the results most people are looking for.

Went in to get my first tattoo of a lion and a lamb. First off, Lance was very kind in helping me with my situation and explaining the services available to me. I not only was getting a tattoo, I was getting one over a very scarred area on my arm. He referred me to his artist Eugene. I absolutely loved how my tattoo turned out. Eugene was so kind and even tattooed me on the same day I came in. He was very quick without any loss in quality. This guy definitely has talent and I totally recommend this place. His sketch turned out way better than the original print I brought. The receptionist greeted me with so much care that I immediately knew I picked the right place. Everyones just so chill and the place is so homie that you're instantly comfortable there. I would definitely recommend as I already did to a friend of mine looking to get work done. If i could give 10 stars, I would! I went here to get a second piercing in my earlobes and had the most amazing experience. The owner Julie is the sweetest person ever. First off, the place is huge and super clean. Secondly, she explains the aftercare and gives you clear instructions on what to do. I unfortunately fainted after getting my ears pierced because I clearly cannot handle any type of needle... and Julie and the piercer Jordan were so kind and took care of me until I felt better. I had an appointment for a tattoo there last sunday at 4pm and my tattoo artist, Bella, took an hour and 20 minutes to draw our 3 tattoos (we were 3). I was the last one to get inked and it was about to close (closing at 6pm), so she said to an other tattoo artist something like « look how fast I can do this one » so she did my tattoo in 4 minutes. It’s butch. I really don’t like it. The lines aren’t straight and it wasn’t even exactly what I wanted. I think it’s bad that it’s something permanent on my body and she butched it. Honestly, I think it is disrespectful. Also, it was 130$ for a small butched tattoo. It’s not a job that you can just butch it and it will be ok. It’s on people’s body. I DO NOT recommande this tattoo artist for a tattoo.

I would give them a 0-review if I could. Quite frankly the worst piercing place in Ottawa. I went in at approximately 2:30 pm on Wed Dec1st to get my second piercing done, and the piercer was rude. It started when he marked the first piercing on the right ear, and I stated it was too high; he argued with me, saying he knew what was best. Fine, he carried on. Moving to the second piercing, he marked the spot, not allowing me to review the mark; he pierced the left ear, which hurt worse than the first, a red flag. Once he finished, he said I could check them, but what am I reviewing if you have done the piercing. After looking in the mirror, I immediately stated it off, and the left one was way too high, which would require a piercing between them to balance it out. He said, "no I don't understand piercing; they were fine." I should have honestly left the second he said I could not be on face-time during my session. I went back and had them removed at 3:01 because they were horrible. I asked for a refund. He said: "no refunds," which was not stated on the signed waiver even though they did a horrendous job. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. EVEN CLAIRES WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I AM NOW BLOCKED ON INSTAGRAM BECAUSE I POSTED THE HORROR STORY. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I went here to get the 2 piercings for 60$ on a Monday. The staff were friendly, patient and professional. The space was very clean. The piercer was very kind and made sure that I like the positioning of the piercings and let me take my time deciding the placements (which was awhile as I was indecisive). They provided a complimentary large bottle of saline solution to clean the piercings with and lots of instructions on how to properly tend the piercings. This was probably my best piercing experience. I would definitely return.

Got an industrial and 2 cartilage piercings from Future Skin done by Kip about a year ago. My industrial piercing developed a keloid and I had to take the piercing out, I thought this was because I didnt clean it properly( I still have the keloid and will most likely have to surgically remove it). Also want to mention that the two cartilage piercings were both pierced with a long curved barbell which after having gotten I realized was pretty inconvenient since they were long and curved the barbells would intertwine together and I could always feel it behind my ear. I recently moved to montreal and went to highly rated piercing shop here and the lady was surprised to see that my two cartilage piercings were pierced with the long curved barbells. Thankfully she replaced it with a proper piercing made for cartilage piercings, which feels much better. I also asked her if I would be able to turn one of the cartilage piercings into an industrial, which she said wouldnt be possible anyways but she also mentioned my ear did not have the anatomy for an industrial piercing -_- (something having to do with the piercing not having enough room on the bottom cartilage I think, so it would not heal properly). This explains the keloid I got from this piercing. Makes me wonder how qualified their tattoo and piercing artists are as this seems like something simple that any qualified piercer should be able to tell??? Not that this is nearly as important as having an actual qualified piercer but on top of that he was also pretty cold the whole time (and has been everytime I have gone to this shop). Strongly dont recommend this place try to find somewhere that actually cares about giving quality service! Reply: yes I know keloids can be caused by other things but it was specifically located at the bottom hole only, where according to two other professional piercers my ear does not have enough cartilage for the piercing. I have almost my whole ears pierced and have/had lots of other piercings on my body and have never had a keloid so I think it could be fair to assume that the reason for this keloid is that i shouldnt have gotten the piercing in the first place. The one piercer hadn't even seen my keloid yet and looking at my other ear she could tell my ear did not have the anatomy for an industrial. Also I have had other cartilage piercings and have had them pierced with shorter barbells, personally I find that the longer barbells make healing longer as they constantly get tangled up and caught on hair more, etc. Like a medium size barbell is good but this one could have been a belly button piercing I swear. If my ear gets swollen to the size of this barbell I think I would need to see medical help. Again I thought it was weird at first but because I'm not a professional I didnt pay too much attention to it but after having another professional piercer say they're surprised with what it was pierced with as well then I start to think something wasnt done right.

I’ve had both of my tattoos and many piercings done at future skin. I got my first tattoo over a year ago and was not 100% satisfied with the result however it was a same day appointment with an artist who was i believe an apprentice and i was not charged a crazy amount so i’m not too upset about that. I got my second tattoo done about a week ago by Juan and he was so nice and I'm really happy with how it turned out. It was a rainbow in colour on my ribs and it looks really nice!! I was expecting to pay a bit less for it however I don’t mind paying for quality work as well as fitting me in for a same day appointment. Would recommend Juan as an artist.

He was super polite and stuff, just didn’t vibe with the guy, didn’t seem excited to do this for me. Kinda threw me off. Also, the price the price he gave me... 600$ for a tree tattoo?! On top of that he wanted to charge me more to do a simple band around my wrist. Way over priced. Will shop elsewhere. Thanks anyways.

Was very grateful to Julie for getting me in quickly. She was a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately my tattoo was not done to my liking and did not follow the design I requested. I was also charged $500.00 for a pretty basic tattoo that would be worth $200.00 at most. Unfortunately I had driven 8 hours for this appointment. I did think it was okay at first but as I look at it a little closer there seems to be a few mistakes which is disappointing considering the price. This was at least double what I've spent on any of my tattoos that are done perfectly. Everyone was amazingly kind and helpful though so I really appreciate that. Unless something could be resolved I don't think I would return here. * The shop was very clean and diligent with all covid precautions.

I had a really bad tattoo from when I was 18 years old. I went in and asked to see if I could have it covered or make it look nicer. I wanted a flower, but Pierre advised me not to because in order to cover up the tattoo I would have a huge flower on my back. He instead took a marker and drew directly on me what he was thinking of doing. The tattoo turned out amazing! I love it!!! The staff are very friendly and fun! I went in thinking I was getting one thing and coming out with something completely different and I am very happy!! I would recomend Pierre to anyone for their tattoo! I am definitely going back for my next one!

At the beggining of August I came to get 2 piercings, one being my belly button. Kip was my piercer and overall the experience was fine, nothing too concerning. However the next day my belly button became very inflamed and swollen, and the top ball was digging into my skin and was very painful. After 4 days I started to notice the ball sinking into my skin more. 1 week goes by and it's becoming embedded due to the bar being too small. I return back to get the bar changed, and he inserts a plastic like bar that isn't even curved. Then he asks me how often I clean it with alcohol, ofcourse I answered I don't use alcohol just saline soaks and washes and warm compresses...he then proceeded to tell me "well like any wound you need to clean it with alcohol! At least 3 times a week. Saline doesn't disinfect. " now, I'm a nurse so I know that saline does disinfect, as that's all I use to cleanse wounds..if I followed his advice I would have made things much worse, and would dry it out and further irritate it. I go home thinking it might be okay, but it's been 2 weeks plus since it's been changed and it's still very red and draining...I got a few second opinions and unfortunately have been told that it needs to be removed due to poor positioning as well as material since that material should not be put inside a new piercing...This has been upsetting, to the point I don't even want to go back to get it removed....

Service was great!... although one thing I noticed was that there were no females working there, when I specifically booked my appointment online with a female (the owner). As a female entering a tattoo parlour with 5 men standing around it can be quite intimidating. I went through with the piercing because I am fine with a male doing a nipple piercing for me, but some women might not feel the same. (Especially when they are under the impression that they were meant to be booked with a female piercer.)

Was a awesome place. WAS, what happened? Called ahead 2 weeks before to make an appointment for me and my sister to get our triple helix pierced for a Saturday the 3 for $100 deal. Drove from out of town (hour and a half) to get there on the day of the appointment only to be told the piercer took the day off work randomly. Nobody called us to let us know about any cancellation and they didn't even apologize. Went down to living colour and got it pierced, and they did a great job! Go to living colour better deals and worth it.

My friend and I got some tattoos here last week Thursday. The process was very convenient from the beginning. I filled the form online and Julie the store owner booked us in for an appointment pretty quickly, she was very kind and welcoming. Additionally, I had seen Juan's work on their website and knew I wanted him to work on my tattoos. From the moment we walked into the store, service was amazing. The store was clean and their washroom was very clean. I also love the open concept of the tattoo store. Juan worked on 3 tattoos with me and really gave me valuable advice on what tattoos will look best on my skin tone since I am black/ which tattoos will last long. My friend worked with Darryl, and he was also friendly and excellent. Also, tattoos were reasonably priced. Look forward to coming back here for more tattoos and referring my friends.

I walked in on a Saturday afternoon to inquire about swapping my nose stud to a hoop. I completely understood that I was a walk-in & that I would likely be waiting. The guy at the front desk was very nice & I explained a bit of what I was looking for. He advised that I would need to discuss with the piercer to get her opinion. She was busy with a client & the wait would be around 5 minutes. There was another girl that was already waiting in front of me. The piercer came out about 5 minutes later & grabbed another client & went back in the room (I get it, he was there first). She came back out another 5-10 min later & did approach me to see if I was there for a piercing but I advised that the other girl was there before me. That girl was just checking in about a new piercing she already had I believe which took around 10 min or so. I figured that I would be next but then another couple walked in about a tattoo cover-up. The piercer proceeded to discuss stuff with them for what seemed like 20 minutes or so while I sat there waiting. At this point, I was probably waiting about 45 min. During that time, I was never further acknowledged or even told "sorry, I'll be right with you...". I was literally about to walk out when she was finally available to talk to me. However, while she was talking to me, she stopped to talk to others about clients who were there way AFTER me. I got the impression that she was the owner or manager & that staff were asking her for guidance but as the owner, I would believe that she or another staff member should have at least been somewhat apologetic considering my patience for pretty much an hour. I was a client here for both tattoos & piercings in the past when they were at their previous location with nothing but professional & proper customer service.

Really great experience! I got an industrial piercing done by Julie (the owner) and the process was much less painful than I expected. She was patient and explained everything she was doing as she did it so nothing came as a surprise (important for me since I tend to be quite jumpy.) Very clean space, professional, and very friendly. Best piercing experience I've ever had! Even more shocked to be given a bottle of saline for cleaning my new piercings and told to come back for a follow up to check on healing. Highly recommend Future Skin Tattoo and Body Piercing.

Alot of stairs ..if your handicap or have health issues and cant so stairs don't go there. I found it annoying that the tattoo artist kept talking to another person that worked there almost the entire session.. I paid to get a tattoo not to have him chat in another language to someone and pause , instead of doing his work on my tat. Very unprofessional ! The arm of the table kept slidding down while he was tattooing my arm..he would have to stop and adjust it. I went for touch ups and got treated like I was waisting his time...he seemed annoyed.And once again had someone from from the shop peek in the room and start talking and laughing in another language.Might I suggest your artists chat during break ? I found it a bit pricey compared to other shops.
