Horrible hair salon. They do not ask how short you want your hair, they just cut it and then blow dry it. The past 3 times I've went there they have messed something up.

Been going here for about 1 and a half years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time. The attention to detail hasn't been matched before and with me having curly hair it requires a little more understanding to know how to cut it which these guys have. They are professional, easy to talk to about anything, and never had to deal with large wait times. You can come out of this place with confidence with your new haircut.

Finding a great barber is a hustle these days. It took me years before I met Sam. Now, I wouldn't go to another barber. He's been doing my cuts for 3 years. I would strongly recommend this place!

If you're looking for a quick, adequate hair cut, this place will do. The hair dresser was experienced and the cut was good, but seemed uninterested in the specifics. She didn't ask basic hair dressing questions about side burns or length, which I've come to expect from other barber shops. At one point she very aggressively yelled at a small child in the shop. To be fair, he was playing around where he shouldn't have been, but her reaction was overkill and unprofessional. If I'm stuck for time, and no other viable options are available, I may return for another cut.

Gave the stylist instructions for what I wanted and they butchered my hair. She was more interested in ordering her coffee from Starbucks so she cut it too short, didn't put any form to it, and didn't even bother asking if I'd like a rinse. She even had the audacity to glare at me for not tipping when I openly stated it was incorrectly cut.

I needed a haircut yesterday and happened to be up at the Dalhousie station plaza. I saw a quaint rustic barbershop named Demin and Smith. I met Sam and he was pleasant and he took care of me. Great customer service ! Thanks Sam ! looking forward to seeing you again.

Sasha cut my hair and it was great. Super knowledgeable and explained why what I had going on wasn't working. He took the time to show me the steps so I could make my hair look the same the next day. The shop upscale- clean and funky with sports on the TVs. Very happy.

CJ is the man! I’ve been jumping from shop to shop trying to find someone who knows how to give something other than a “generic” haircut. I decided to try this shop and I’m happy I have finally found my barber! CJ was very thorough in asking questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond with a neck shave service and a steaming towel free of charge. After leaving many barbershops unhappy I won’t be going to see anyone else from now on. 10/10 amazing service I would highly recommend!

I like all of the staff I encountered at this location. Not only do I leave more than satisfied with my haircut but I️ also appreciate the environment in this store. I️t isn’t the usual small talk about hair and hair products but I️t seems like they actually take an interest in your personal life and enjoy interacting with costumers. Good music and positive environment all around, I️ have been going to this location for years and will continue to do so, keep up the good work.

I am updating my review I took my boys in here a few times and found out that our old Barber left so we left we came back again to give this new lady a try and that was the worst mistake I ever made she completely destroyed my son's hair he left there crying that's 2 denim and Smith shops now that have done this to my kids hair I will not return nor would I ever recommend this establishment ever again

I never make reviews on local businesses, but I thought I would for this local barbershop. First time in this shop yesterday. And to say I had an amazing experience is an understatement. First I was treated to a cool fire show, then was given the best haircut and beard trim I've had in a very long time . great place and very cool barber. Will definitely be back

I've been to a few other Denim & Smith shops Royal Oak, Crowfoot, I made my way to this location and was welcomed with a friendly hello this place has some rocking music and the atmosphere is great I bring my two boys to this location and one particular Barber does amazing with them I think he's an Arabic guy who is very muscular. I love the fact that they let you talk and not get consumed by talk of products like most barber shops I would definitely recommend the shop and see this Barber

I used to go to other Denim&Smith locations closer to my place but after I’ve had my first haircut at Dalhousie branch, been regularly going here since. Barbers are amazing especially Devon, cool guy and takes his time to give you the best haircut. Absolutely great service!

I recently visited Denim and Smith in Dalhousie for the first time this week as I was in the area. I was hesitant to change my hair style that I've had for the last few years, but Moe suggested I trust him and let him take the lead. I was shocked at how great the cut was. I look like a new man and I'm so happy I trusted him with my hair and that he was so patient with my hesitation. Thank you again Moe for being so kind and personable! I would highly recommend him!!

Hands down one of the best environments you get can when getting a haircut. Minus the small talk about the weather and about the hair cut and hair products the staff take interest in your personal life and you’ll be leaving more satisfied than just getting a haircut.
