This place is awesome! My wife and I went in for walk-ins and had some simple tattoos done, but the shading is awesome. My tattoo was as simple black filled gecko and the color after 2 years is solid all the way though.

Made a consultation to see someone about a realism tattoo. I told them that the tattoo was a tribute to my daughter that had passed and they directed me to a guy named Gunner. I showed him the tattoo that I found online that I wanted him to do. He politely told me that the tattoo I showed wasn't that nice. And told me that he would send me some pictures that I could choose from and he would draw something up better than what I brought in. Having not gotten a tattoo in 25+ years I took him at his word. I left there with a tattoo that made the one I showed him look like a child's drunken drawing. My arm is now covered in something that looks so real and beautiful and I am proud to have. I learned a valuable lesson to always listen to the artist because they know best. This will be my main place for any further ink.

I absolutely love going to the shop!! Everyone is so amazing and I can't get over how talented they are. They literally have an artist that can meet any criteria from animals to neotraditional. As hard as it is to wait for the occasional wait time because an artist is really booked up, it is totally worth the wait! I would definitely say LCT is one of the only shops I would go to in the city!

Went to their booth at the tattoo show. I was met by Rick and his wife who treated me with nothing but kindness and respect. As a first timer this was very important to me. They answered all my questions and looked at my designs and showed me how they could be improved. They then made time for me at the show to do 2 tattoos both of which I am very pleased with. This is the best place to go for a fabulous tattoo. Abby, one of the owners, did mine and my daughter's tattoo and both are fantastic with great detail and beautiful shading plus wonderful use of colour!!! Abby designed our tattoos much better than our preliminary one and we are very thankful that we found her. I have since seen tattoos by other artists that work at the same place and I would recommend any one of them. I will definitely go back and have another tattoo done!!!

Was the 3rd car in the parking lot at 11am, my boyfriend tried to get in for a very small tattoo add on to his hand piece, we were told by mid afternoon we would be in. So we went to the mall and killed time, came back to check in at 2ish and was told not much longer, at 3:15 we were told they weren't gonna tattoo him today because the Artist had to leave work early... so they made us wait for hours just to tell us they wouldn't serve us. Total BS if you ask me and such a waste of our time. Never going back there again. Oh and instead of hearing me out when I went to ask why we were turned away after waiting 4 hours, instead of hearing me out, the employee decided it would be better to argue with me. I've worked in customer service for years, you are never supposed to argue your customers, probably should have just apologized to us. That was just bad business, I'll make sure my friends know never to bother going here since the artists clearly don't care about their clients... my boyfriend had been loyal to your shop, now you've lost his business for life, thanks for wasting our time and lying to our faces ????

Been to living canvas a wide variety over the last 5 years and it has really gone down hill since then. One artist has cancelled my appointment the day of and even forgot to design my tattoo on other occasions, leaving me horribly overworked on the reschedule. Switched artists and I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a while until they hired a new front desk girl a few years back who has 0 customer service skills. Kay I think her name was, totally does not know how to make customers feel welcome and this was reassured during a recent walk in visit. You really get the attitude that they are all worked to the bone and have 0 passion for tattooing. My best recommendation for this shop would be to atttend a customer service seminar to learn how to make customers feel welcome. Also, hire someone for the front desk we shouldn't have to wait 15 minutes to be acknowledged. I've had several friends with the exact same problems. There are definitely more professional shops out there. Thanks Shelley P

Used to like this place until they cancelled my appointment as i was on my way without reason then when told the artist ( ryan fermo) will be contacting me to book another appointment..... never happened. Real professional living canvas. you will never get another dollar from me. Very unprofessional and the management should reconsider having people like him working for them because its giving you a bad reputation. I read some other reviews and it looks like this isn't the first time someone doing this either. wouldn't doubt it if its the same guy.

I walked into Living Canvass Tattoo on my 33rd birthday, looking to get my very first tattoo, as a gift from my husband, and, being a first timer, I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and didnt make me feel silly, despite being a newbie (and despite the fact that we arrived at 530 pm on a Wednesday evening ????) I was introduced to Ryan Street, who was immediately friendly and helpful. He literally looked at two pics from my phone that I found online that I liked, wrote down the words "Benjamin, frogs, swirls, bright colours", and the very next day sent me a sketch of my tattoo. I was floored. He created something better than I ever imagined myself, and with only meeting me for 5 minutes. On the big day I was nervous, but he was professional and made me feel comfortable. It hurt like HELL (top of the foot) but he walked me through it and checked on me often. The best part - he was so nice to my 7 month old son. He gave him a toy (his very own wooden tattoo gun) to play with and didn't mind that he sat in the room for the first 15 minutes squaking ???? I will be going back to Ryan and Living Canvass for my next tattoo for sure. My first tattoo experience was amazing and I'm so glad I picked this place!

My tattoo artist was alright but the person working at the front counter was very rude and unprofessional. She told me that I couldn't get a tattoo of what I wanted because it would look bad... not sure why that's any of her business. But I talked to my tattoo artist and she said it would be fine. After getting my tattoo I was told that I could come in within a year to get a free touchup. 9 months later I contacted them to make an appointment for my touchup but they refused me because it was too short notice. My tattoo is smaller than a stamp, I find it hard to believe that they couldn't squeeze in a touchup in three months.

Went in on August 18th/2020 at 5pm just looking for a quote on a piece, nothing really more. Guy at the front desk/reception was very friendly. Was talking about when I would like to get my tattoo done (first one ever) he tells me to hold on, 5 mins later he asks how does in 45 mins sound. I said okay after pondering for a second. Ron was my artist and he did a fantastic job on the simple piece. Don't let any of the negative reviews turn you off from going to this tattoo shop, all the staff were friendly and the shop was clean and was an overall great experience.

I did my research to find a place to go with my first tattoo and heard and read lots of great things about Living Canvas along with how talented their artists are. However, I made an inquiry directly via email complete with photos to the artist over two weeks ago in addition to a follow up call to the front reception when I did not hear back (in case it got lost in junk mail). I have yet to hear back from anyone despite the guy at front desk taking my number and would do a follow up and it has been another week already. I understand people are busy but some type of acknowledgment that they would get back to me would be nice. My first impression of this place is not great insofar and this the one star. But I’d be willing to change my review if something changes...but I am not holding my breath...and will likely seek out another shop for my first tattoo. Too bad.
