Shop is impeccably clean, and the staff are extremely professional and welcoming. I've gone to Tyler for a couple tattoos now, including a cover-up and a thigh piece. He listens to his clients closely, has great vision for his artwork, and delivers on the execution. I found him very easy to work with and couldn't be happier with the results. All my experiences with this shop have been overwhelmingly positive.

Tried multiple times to contact a few artist through email and social media... Number of replies: ZERO. So I call the shop and the receptionist comes off as rude telling me to contact the artists directly which I said I did, and still turns me away without helping me one bit. I understand they're all busy with clients but any type of reply would have been nice. It's been about a week now and finally giving up.

If you are thinking to get a simple, classical design, DO NOT go there. My boyfriend did his arm band around elbow design half year ago, and now they REJECTED to do his touch-up because the artist Shawn who did that tattoo is no longer working there. Well...to be honest, we cannot feel their respectful to client, either the reception lady or the artist. They made us feel that they can only accept do fancy, complex, colorful design, our request is too easy to do like we are wasting their time.

Kapala has a reputation of being one of the best tattoo shops in winnipeg and I can see why. The front desk lady ain't just for looks. she can schedule an appointment like nobody's business. Sean S has been my man from the jump. He did my first tattoo and Ive been going to him ever since! He's straight to the point, just like his linework. Scriptwork is off the charts!! Very punctual, highly recommend Sean for your next tattoo, you will not be disappointed. His pricing is very fair, if you want a cheap tattoo, theres plenty of scratch shops in winnipeg. Save yourself from future regret and embarrassment and book your self an appointment.

I've had over half a dozen tattoos done at Kapala. The work is high quality and the service is good. There is a bit of a wait (1 month or more) between the consult and the work, but nothing unusual for a reputable shop.

Bernel is the absolute worst tattoo artist. Aside from being extremely disrespectful to clients, he will call your ideas stupid and refuse to do them. Only does one style, and not versatile in anything else. All he does is copy and paste designs, don't expect anything original. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Hands down the best tattoo artists I have been to. It is harder to get an appointment with them which is disappointing but when they are as great as they are I can understand. Dan did an amazing Bermuda scene for me and a cover up, and Tyler and Reuben did my parent's signatures (at different times of course). As busy as Dan is he has been gracious enough to do a mother and daughter tattoo for me and my 18 year old in May. I am so looking forward to this and would not trust her to anyone else.

Had a tattoo done here quite recently after doing my research on different artists around the city, made the decision to go with Dan, as his work is impressive. Unfortunately I did not get the same type of work done on myself, and I am very disappointed with both of the tattoos I had done. To put it bluntly, one looks absolutely terrible from top to bottom, and the other looks rushed, and unfinished. I sadly don’t think anything can be done to repair the one, and a couple months after getting it, I’m now looking into laser removal. Very disappointing Experience for me and an expensive mistake. Wish I had gotten the same quality of tattoo he has given to other clients. ????????‍♀️

I love these guys. I have been to this shop for 6 different tattoos, over the past 8 years, all ranging from tiny wrist tattoos to my entire rib cage/side area from my butt to armpit. They have a very clean shop and everyone there always wants to make you feel comfortable and happy. Dan does awesome work and i'll be sticking with him until i run out of bare skin.

I was super nervous due to it being my first tattoo and all but my artist, Rich, took good care of me,making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Long story short I 100% recommend and I am definitely coming back for the rest of my tattoos.
