Went here for the first time yesterday. I was tattooed by Tito who gave me the most beautiful tattoo. The atmospher was warm and welcoming everyone was chatting and joking makeing sure the clients were relaxed. Tito was late by trafic and was very componsationg and appologetic towards me, and in the ended up discounting my tattoo because of it. Would 250% recomend them.

I went 2 months ago and got a small detailed tattoo on my wrist, I know detailed tattoos with fine lines have a high risk of fading out or blurring thus I waited two months to give my review... and I LOVE it!! The quality is stunning I get so many compliments and can’t wait to go back! Also, the atmosphere and staff are very nice and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back for more tattoos! Ps. I had my first tattoo done at Ink and Water by Inshaan a few days ago and where do I even begin? The entire experience was amazing, from start to finish it was nothing but positive. The consultation was quick and simple, Inshaan took a picture of my forearm and proceeded to provide me some designs for my tattoo. He was incredibly receptive and very patient considering how intricate I wanted the design. In the end the price was more than fair, far less than I expected honestly, and the entire staff was warm and great to chat with as I sat there for over 3 hours. The pictures don't do it justice, the detail Inshaan put into it is astonishing. If you're thinking of getting a tattoo (especially geometric/line work) this is THE place to go.

Honestly I wish I could rate it even lower. This shop has just gotten progressively more problematic over the years and the lack of accountability is so disappointing. Used to love the shop and most of the artists, now I’m just glad my “favourites” have left and started/gotten themselves into what seem to be safer spaces. My own experience with getting tattooed by one of the previous owners was deeply impersonal and kinda awkward, whereas being tattooed by another artist who has since left the shop was amazingly comfortable! Glad to know that the last few months have really fleshed out some seriously problems within the shop, and just firing the owner isn’t going to change them.

Before i start I just want to say that this has no hard feelings towards the artist and her work as she did a very good job on my tattoo. I called last weekend to see if they had any availability, they were able to fit me in later that day. I explained the size of the tattoo(business card) and was told aprox $250-$300 which is no problem. Once i got to the shop i waited about 45 mins while the artist drew up the tattoo. My tattoo had begun and i had asked the artist how long she worked for Ink & Water and she proceeded to tell me that she was a guest artist from out of Country - this is not something that was disclosed to me on the phone. While my tattoo was already half done i didn't really have a choice but to sit there and complete it well knowing that her price is probably a lot higher than a resident artist. In addition to that, a lot of my tattoo she did in stick & poke which was not something i particularly wanted. I understand all artist have different methods however it would have been nice to know this beforehand. My actual tattoo took an hour to complete. When i went to the counter my verbal price of $250-300 turned into $540. My jaw almost fell to the floor as this is one of the more simple tattoos i've ever received and that price to me is absolutely outrageous. That is not a tattoo i needed that badly, and if i would have known it was being done by a guest artist i would have known better to just wait for an appointment with someone else. This whole experience has been pretty upsetting as i've received a couple of tattoos there before and really enjoyed their shop. Unfortunately now i am here to warn others to be sure you ask more questions than not while on the phone with them booking any appointments. Very disappointing.

I had a poor experience with Rye Clarin ("Faded Canvas") when attempting to consult with him. I found out about him through Instagram, and contacted him there. He did not provide an email address or anywhere else for formal communication, which I found unprofessional. I requested a consultation, and he informed me that he does his consulting through Instagram, which again, I found quite unprofessional. I decided to overlook these things and attempted to move forward with the consultation process. I sent him my idea, and he barely engaged with me at all aside from telling me the parts of my idea he couldn't do, but provided no alternatives, demonstrated no flexibility, and seemingly no interest in my idea at all. He also pointed out that I missed sending him some details about size, so I sent him the rest of the details. After sending that, he did not respond to my message. I waited 5 weeks for a response before sending him several messages describing how disappointed and frustrated I had become with this process, and requesting an apology. He did respond at that time, but only to provide excuses for his behaviour without any apology at all. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of only one is because I am *hoping* that the actions of this individual tattoo artist do not represent the studio as a whole, as I am still quite impressed by the talent of many of the other artists in this studio.

I inquired with one of their artists and received an extremely rude message back. There are ways to communicate with potential customers and I believe it was not done in a very positive or nice tone at all. There are many ways my inquiry could have been handled. Even a simple “please call the shop to discuss” could have been said to avoid any misunderstandings. i understand some artists have preferred styles or pieces that they want to do and I’m sure the artist had good intentions but he still came across extremely rude, unprofessional, intimidating and aggressive. All traits I’m sure several people would not want in a tattoo artist.

What an incredible experience with Hayden. After speaking with Hayden on Instagram for a while, we finally booked a date via Deposit on an incredibly dope realism piece. He was incredibly patient with me on instagram with quoting and sharing ideas. The shop on the outside didn't look too good but as soon as you enter, it is an incredible vibe. From the decor, to the water and snacks in the lobby, to the incredible service. It was top notch. Then, when you enter the studio, it's a whole other world! Bright and beautiful and clean with mirrors so you can see the work! Hayden did an incredible job and I am extremely happy with the piece. It was an 8 hour project and he was extremely patient with me on placement. I've had 20 tattoos and this was by far the most painful but still an incredible expreience. Will be coming back. As soon as i left, I received an email about a 20$ gift card to use for my next ink!

Ink & Water has a reputation for being the best of the best, and truly lives up to it. I found my artist, Ola, on Instagram and waited what seemed like forever for her books to open (it was only a couple of months, but when you know you know). I jumped at the chance to have such a talented artist for my first piece. The shop itself was a little challenging to find. Since the signage hasn't been updated, I wondered if I was at the right place.... Walking in though, you know. Whoever was the concept designer for the shop - major kudos to you. You walk in to what looks like a street market at night, it's dark and has that old school grunge feel. Even the front of the shop is meticulously maintained, just spotless. Huge plus that the water comes in tetra packs. Such a small change to help save our environment! Walking to the back of the shop, you'll notice how drastic the change is from the front of the shop to the back. I was tattooed mid day, and walking back was like walking into a neon cathedral. White walls, concrete floors and massive sloping white lights on the ceiling, it was truly gorgeous. Definitely calming. Front desk was kind and patient while I took ages to sign in (nerves), as well as when I was asking questions about a design for my husband afterwards. I would recommend this shop to everyone.

WILL ROB YOU!! WILL OVER CHARGE!! They tried a free flash day and it was terribly planned. Many people including myself stood in line in - 9 degree weather for over 4 hours. They then offered a a 15% discount for those who waited. Absolutely disgusting. They would not offer any information to is about timing or what was going on. They are also extremely high priced. They don't tell you your hourly rate and don't give you a quote unless you specifically ask. Great people and great tattoos just poor planing and they don't seem to care about their customers. Very unprofessional. My personal experience: I came for my tattoo at 12 noon. I was on time and ready to go but Michael still had to finishing drawing a tattoo for me and another client. I waited 30 mins, which i can deal with. The tattoo experience was fine, he was funny and sweet and a hard worker. When it came time to pay he pulled a price out of his ass. When i told him it was too much he just shrugged and told me that i should have known, that was his rate. $300 an hour? That what it came up to. When i told him that it was no where on the site and he had not discussed it with me before, he shrugged again and told me he assumed i would be fine with whatever since i "didnt ask". I was bawling my eyes out over a 1000$ tattoo that i couldnt afford and begging him to help me with a payment plan or anything. He just stared at me and shrugged.

I'm very happy that a portion of my tattoo went to charity as I work in non-profit. I felt welcomed, and invited. Everyone who works there seemed very kind. I am not happy that my appointment was scheduled for 1:15 and I didn't get into the chair till almost 2:30. I'm very disappointed that I was expected to sit and wait that long or leave and not receive my deposit back. I completely understand that tattoos take time and no one expects to be rushed, but you should know how long pieces will take, regardless of your stature you know how long it takes you to tattoo. I am by NO MEANS trying to write something to ruin anyone's reputation as I am great full for the artwork I received. I unfortunately wouldn't recommend someone to this studio.

He did his best to fit me in when he was very busy and made sure the tattoo would fit right on my body in a flattering way. I went to Ink & Water Bloor location today (June 6th 2019) and had a phenomenal experience! I had booked a tattoo about 6 weeks prior, and they were totally ready for me as soon as I showed up. I had to wait a little because I showed up early, but my artist Pam (@wildfirepunch , I CANNOT recommend her enough) showed up exactly on time! Registering and giving my consent was super easy and quick; its done through a tablet and really accessible. The receptionist was really nice and offered everyone drinks as they waited. The place is so beautifully designed and I loved the bathroom (you'll have to see it for yourself)! It's a really comforting space that's inviting and welcoming-- it helped me get over my nerves of getting my tattoo. All the staff were super friendly (if not to me than their clients). There was a photographer getting some shots and even he was amazing-- he knew my name and spoke to me about my tattoo. I put my tattoo on my hip, meaning I had to take some layers off and Pam was always making sure I was comfortable about it! She is honestly amazing and so great to work with! She made sure to take her time in order to get me the best tattoo possible. Pam (and the other artists) definitely know what they're doing and make sure that you get the best results possible. She was very through about the aftercare and made sure I understood exactly what do to. I am booking another tattoo with her as I write this. Ink & Water is my go-to studio now! If you are looking for any tattoo contact them!

She designed this tattoo from couple of concepts I gave her prior and let me tell ya it is the MOST BEAUTIFUL piece I have on my body. What a talented woman I still can’t get over it!!! She was very kind, accommodating and professional. Made all changes I requested quickly and adjusted the design up until it was time to put it on me. Tattoo was done beautifully and Isis was so sweet and careful the whole time. She made me feel very well taken care of. Everyone at the store was very friendly as well. Clean and professional environment as well. I went after working nights and she made sure I was comfortable at all times. I am still In awe couple of days later and can’t stop showing off ☺️???????? Plain unlike most studios when you first walk in and you'd have to know the place to know it was actually there...cause there's no sign on the empty face outside the shop. The artist have talent and you can appreciate a quiet studio cause everyone is hard at work. Just wish they had better customer service and were knowledgeable about simple welcomes and pairings. Be mindful you are in customer service as there are other clients around. The first person you greet really is the best. Their receptionist was too busy on her phone tapping away to get any work done. And the attitude on her was definitely what turned us away. Personal calls are for your own time. And it would ruin your rep to actually take your job seriously. Please revisit your level of customer service to better your business

The place is impeccably clean, warm & welcoming, they play good music and the place gives off really good vibes. The artists are all friendly and super chill. If you’re feeling nervous just tell your artist and they will make you feel better. Tiff always asks me throughout my tattoo if I’m okay and she’s very focused and sweet!! I will ALWAYS come back here for my tattoos! I will say though, they are a bit pricey, but honestly their work is top knotch and I always get compliments on my tattoos. It’s totally worth the money. Cheap tattoos aren’t good and good tattoos aren’t cheap people!!

Unwelcoming vibe and overpriced. Artist barely said a word to me... scheduled with him after following on Instagram for a while, wanted to get a tribute to my late father and left feeling horrible. Came from out of town after booking over email. Sent all the info and reference photos and when I got there, he didn’t even have anything prepared. The tattoo was fine, would have loved it more if they were more friendly. Paid $170 plus tip for a 2 inch signature tattoo. No matter how much I loved his work I wouldn’t recommend. Had very high hopes for this place!

This location is probably their best location yet! The design of the space is so cool! They have a garage door at the back of the room. If you enter the building from the back door, you won't have anyone there to help you, but if you walk through the front door, it feels like you have walked into another dimension. You have to go through the front door to get assistance with your appointment. It doesn't feel like you have walked into ink & water, but you're in the right place. I arrived 2 hours early to an appointment and they were able to fit me in earlier than I was expecting. Definitely my favourite tattoo shop I have been to. Their tools and materials are premium as well. I have never had a tattoo heal as good as the tattoos I've gotten from here.

Precise, Professional, Gentle! I made an appointment with Tanja at Ink&Water and within a week—I had an appointment at their sister studio (Homesick). Tanja was very patient and honest with respect to to the placement of my tattoo and she worked with my body’s anatomy and took her time to place the piece perfectly. She made sure the angles were correct and that it flowed. She ensured I was happy. She was also incredibly precise with her work (which ran from my neck to wrist)! Tanja was lovely and fun and we even shared a hug before I left! The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that the cost was double of what most places quoted me. But I felt super good about the cleanliness of the environment and they way the staff engaged with customers. The free snacks and chill vibe made it worth it. My husband and I have been to Ink & Water twice now for our tattoos. One was for a walk-in/flash day with Jack and the other was a scheduled appointment with Prairie. Both experiences were very pleasant. Unlike a few of the comments here, we found this shop to be one of the most welcoming and comfortable ones we've been ever to (which is a LOT), not to mention it's beautifully decorated. I found the receptionist to be very unwelcoming and unfriendly.it really deterred me from getting my first tattoo and I am pretty disappointed. Hopefully she can realize and make any future newbies feel a bit more comfortable making this decision to tattoo for life. I was also uncomfortable with the deposit of 100 and offered 50 instead which was not taken very well. I was not ready to invest in an artist I had no idea would produce the drawing I was looking for.

I've had the pleasure of being tattooed by Astrid when she was an apprentice and she did amazing, the lines were done so clean and you can see the passion of everyone in the shop. It's always amazing to go back to Ink and Water, especially knowing that a portion of their tattoos go towards charity. They also pair up with organizations for free tattoos and it's so nice to see a shop that gives back more than they are given. Everyone is fantastic, they do the most to be as accommodating as they can and I'm so excited to be going back for another tattoo in a month!

This is a very disappointing experience. The tattoo artist, Estelle Liu, with 17.1k followers on her IG, and whom I thought was "professional" was an understatement. I booked my tattoo 2 months in advance and told the receptionist every detail along with some references of the tattoo I wanted. All I asked was a simple quote that I literally pointed out in my message via email and a twist of design that the artist can do. When I came the day of of my appointment, Estelle gave me some different sizes of printed tattoo quotes with the WRONG quote written in it.. She probably assumed the references of the fonts I showed was the quote that I also wanted. However, I literally informed them thoroughly of what quote, font, and design that I wanted for my tattoo. How difficult was that? I then informed her that the quote I wanted was different. She then had to rewrite the quote and literally asked another tattoo artist to help her make it.. My boyfriend and I sat there for probably 10 minutes until the other tattoo artist finished making the quote that I wanted.. Honestly, this is very unprofessional for a tattoo artist to rely on another artist to do their job. Especially for the fact that they misunderstood of what tattoo their clients wanted. All I want to say is, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY and DO YOUR JOB PROFESSIONALLY..

This guy named Jack told me that he would refund my money for the deposit, then told me that he couldn't because of a 48 hour limit that I had crossed by 2 hours. I lost 100 $ to this individual. NEVER trust him with your tattoos, plus the tattoo got faded after 2 weeks. He is the most whack artist in that shop, never book him!

Disappointing experience is an understatement - especially because I discovered the studio through a partnership that I coordinated between Ink and Water tattoo and a community arts organization in Toronto. Scheduled a tattoo with Michael about 6 months in advance. Put in a $100 deposit and was told via email to come in "sometime before appointment" to consult on tattoo. I went in a week before my appointment to talk to Michael. Told them I had a tattoo scheduled that week. In hindsight they were a bit shifty when I mentioned it but didn't say anything to me or share any concerns. Michael asked about the design I wanted, and told me to send him examples via IG which I did (this also could have been an opportunity for him to mitigate the issue that is in the following paragraph). I came back end of week for my appointment and was told there it was not scheduled. The receptionist brushed it off as an issue with the previous receptionist (apparently they gladly accepted my deposit but never actually scheduled my appointment in their system.) I was very frustrated, especially because the receptionist was pretty rude with me about the situation, and unapologetic. She was very standoffish, and when Michael came up and apologized for the mix, she expressed that the previous receptionist made a mess of appointments and put her in an awkward position with clients who had booked with them from the previous year. I understood her positioning but honestly, it didn't excuse how she behaved/reacted with me overall. Then I had to prove that I e-transferred my deposit by showing the acceptance email sent to me by my bank (she was pretty skeptical at first) and we rescheduled an appointment for, you guessed it, 6 months from then. I live far from that studio and between the time and funds I spent to get myself there TWICE, I was really frustrated and frankly unimpressed with how it was handled. Once I got a confirmation for my new appointment, I canceled and got my deposit back. Would not go there again, and would not recommend to a friend.

I trusted them with getting my first tattoo two weeks ago. (It is all about trust and comfort, and they delivered to the extreme). When I went in for my consultation with Prairie I also asked to see around the shop -- gorgeous, bright, clean, relaxed -- and Drew took me on a tour of the facilities, which helped to calm my nerves. I went back two weeks ago for the tattoo and everyone was so incredibly kind, which was the most helpful thing in making the environment welcoming and non-intimidating. Prairie and I figured out my final tattoo design and then he got to work. It's just finishing up healing now and I'm in love with it. Would 125% recommend anyone to come here, whether it's your first tattoo or your 25th. Can't think of anything I would have changed (except maybe that the water fountain was working! :P). Their employee Prairie Koo tattooed my forearm. I have both sleeves done and my entire back so I'm not a newbie. At first it looked good. 2 days later the lines were spreading and running, 4 days later it was scabbing/blotching and losing most of its colour. I should have known when I walked in their not to let a little boy tattoo me. Clearly he's still learning on peoples flesh. He talked a good game. Stay far away !! You cannot erase his mistakes and butchery. You're better off paying more and having a professional work on you. I might as well have tattooed myself. It looks like my tattoo was done in prison. Shame on you Prairie.

Was not going to write a review, but this entire situation is still very upsetting. I had a very confusing experience with the shop. I was under the impression that I had an appointment, however, when I went in, the artist said she forgot to write me in. Super disappointing after the amount of travelling done to get to Toronto, just to be turned away. I was also confused since they advertise walk-ins, yet I was not given any invitation to consult with another artist. I was forced to frantically see if another shop would take me in, otherwise the entire day would have been a complete waste of time, money, and energy. Fortunately, Chronic Ink was kind enough to squeeze me in last minute, and the artist did an amazing job on the tattoo. I would not recommend giving your business to Ink and Water, it would be a waste of time and money.

Got my first tattoo (on my wrist) at the Yonge St. location last night and it was a great experience that took away any nerves I felt. The studio is clean and airy. It has a laid-back, chilled vibe, and everyone was so friendly! My tattoo (which I love) is small, but tiny details Francis, a super-talented artist, got in there were so precise it blew my mind. He took his time getting the job done and you could just tell he knows what he's doing. My co-workers were even ooh-ing and ahh-ing over my tattoo this morning! As for whether getting a tattoo is painful: I've experienced more pain getting a flu shot! I'll definitely come back here if I decide to get inked again. I still haven’t had a response from my IG email and I’ve sent a booking email to the artists account. That lack of communication is just not acceptable or how a business should operate. I had been eyeing this shop for quite a while before finally deciding to book an appointment. After carefully looking through each artist through their instagram profiles, I ended up choosing Andrew (@calm.l0ck)! I sent him a description of what I wanted along with some reference photos and he was able to draw up exactly what I had in mind. He was super kind and friendly and made the overall experience very comfortable! The shop in general has a very friendly vibe and I absolutely love it there. My sister went there soon after I did and also got tattooed by Andrew. Both of our new tattoos look like works of art! Andrew's lines are super clean and he has a very light and gentle hand. This was my first decently sized tattoo and I barely felt any pain. Thank you so much Andrew & Ink & Water! Can't wait to come back for some more ink very soon! :)

I got a tattoo here, and asked the artist to reference a design similar to one of her previous works done. When I went in for a consultation, I didn’t get a very nice welcome from the receptionist, during both my visits (the consultation and the actual tattoo day). During the consultation, the artist and I discussed how I wanted my design, and I thought things went well. I asked my artist the estimate of how much my tattoo would cost, and she gave me an estimate of $150-$250. I had to pay a deposit of $100 to secure my spot. Fast forward to 2 days before my appointment. I received no notice or messages from my artist, and I was getting worried because my appointment was coming up, and the artist still had not sent me the final design. I had to take the initiative and message the artist, and it seemed like the design was never even worked on. I finally received my design, and of course, I did not like it. I had to reschedule my initial appointment because I was unhappy with the design since it looked rushed, and ended up having to reschedule 2 weeks later. During my appointment, I had to wait 30-40 mins because the artist was still working on another client (this was fine as I know that tattoos cannot be rushed). At the end of everything, I was satisfied with my tattoo, but, what I wasn’t happy about was the payment process. The receptionist was getting ready to charge me $300+ for my 1hr time slot, and when I told her that I had already paid a deposit, she looked at me like I was wrong. Finally, she found the receipt to my payment, and then charged me an extra $200. This threw me off as I had an estimate of $150-$200 from the artist, and now they were charging me more. Now looking back at my tattoo, there are a few spots where the artist messed up, and I will have to figure out how to fix it. There are some spots where the lines are thicker than others, and it's pretty visible. This artist also went too deep and I believe will leave some bumps. Overall, more customer service on both the receptionist and the artists would be good. Don’t have your customers worry 1-2 days before their actual appointment. I know you guys are busy, but also keep in mind that we’re paying money as well, so we want to feel valued.

Got tattooed by Lorne the other day, great line work, I had him redraw the image 3 times because of small adjustments and he didn't seem to mind at all. The building is an old house on Bloor so its easy to miss but the space inside is renovated and clean. Tattoo took about 3 hours total and cost $350+tax and tip.

I had the pleasure of getting my first tattoo at this shop (the Yonge street location) by JD. It was one of the free charity tattoos that I was very excited to be chosen for. JD was super professional despite me not dressing properly for my appointment (Sorry again!!!) . I wore a long sleeve t shirt and my hair down for a shoulder tattoo lol. I think the artists at Ink & Water are very talented and create beautiful work. I initially booked an appointment with an artist on Instagram and we moved to email communication. She had confirmed a consultation appointment at their second location at Yonge & Eglinton (even though their flagship shop is much closer to me). Upon arrival, I was told the artist was not there and was having problems getting into the country. I was disappointed that both the artist and the shop did not contact me and I had to go all the way there for nothing. I decided to give the shop a second chance because I love the work of many of the artists there. After months of waiting, I finally got a back piece (from another artist) and I love how it was incorporated into my existing work. I would give the shop 5 stars if there was better communication.

I have NEVER had a worst customer service experience than with Michael Pecherle from Ink and Water Tattoo. Below is a timeline of all the bullshit from the last 2 months, right up until yesterday. I hate that I have to resort to write a bad review but the amount of last chances I’ve given Michael is unbelievable. - Appointment with Michael mid summer 2016 at The Shop Tattoo Co – the only bad thing was that he left for 15 mins to do a consultation about three quarters of the way into doing my tattoo, which was random. - October 15 – consultation at the shop tattoo, commuted for almost 2 hours to find the doors were locked with a note saying that the shop is closed today for a tattoo convention out of town - Sent Michael an email asking for an explanation – he apologized profusely, explaining that he is opening his own tattoo shop soon and he is very busy, and offered to do a phone consultation right away – we agreed on Saturday December 17 at 12pm, 2 months in advance, and he offered to do it for only $150 - As discussed, I sent him an email with reference photos - Nov 7 – almost 3 weeks later, replies to my email, calling me “Evan” (my name is literally in my email address, as well as at the end of all my emails), asking me to resend this email 1 week before the appointment. - Nov 17 – I get a call from Kevin asking me to reschedule because Michael wants to plan a flash day on Dec 17. Since I’m working 2 jobs, scheduling dentist appointments and job interviews as well as my wedding, I tell him no I can’t reschedule. (Keep in mind that I made this appointment 2 months in advance, had to book a work day off, and this is all AFTER he had ditched my initial consultation appointment) - Nov 23 – Ink and Water post a few ads for a Flash Day on Dec 17 at 12pm, exactly on my tattoo date and time. I email Michael asking for a confirmation that I still have my appointment – no reply! - Nov 30 – I email Michael AGAIN, asking to confirm my appointment – no reply! - Later that day, I call him to confirm my appointment. He says he’s been meaning to ask me if I can reschedule to 8am that same day, and I say fine. - Dec 10 – Michael texts me, telling me he has to reschedule my appointment, explaining that things happen unexpectedly and that they need more time to prepare for the flash day (that he CHOSE to organize, AFTER my appointment was scheduled). I reluctantly agree to move the tattoo to the next day, Sunday the 18th at 12pm, missing out on a Marlies game. - Dec 17 – I get a call from Drew, telling me that my tattoo appointment tomorrow is cancelled – I get this call not 15 hours before my appointment!!! He explains that Michael is overworked, has strep throat and will probably be dead tomorrow. Even if this is true, there are so many better ways to deal with this; Michael HIMSELF could have texted, emailed or called me, although I should know better than to expect that from him. The lack of respect I get from Michael is unacceptable – after being ditched at his old shop, numerous ignored emails, 2 calls, not even from him but from random people, to reschedule my appointment (for which I had to book time off from my second job) and a cancellation the night before my tattoo, I have run out of last chances for Michael.

Free tattoo day! What a JOKE. Sooo horribly planned. Waited in line for 5 hours in the blistering sun. Got serious burns all over my body. ON MY BIRTHDAY. There was no shelter or washrooms. They gave out drinks twice right after one another and then gave nothing for the next 3 hours. People who finally made it inside got free stuff! But not the people outside in the sun! a staff member told us to be there 5 hours before it started to get a good spot. But provided nothing to protect us. People were dizzy and sick!!! AND AFTER ALL THAT I DIDNT EVEN GET A TATTOO. it would take nothing for them to calculate how many people could get a tattoo. Some weren’t doing repeats. It was open for 6 hours and at an average of 30 mins per tattoo. That would give you 12 tattoos for that person. WOW. How difficult. They should have gotten everyone’s names on a list from the front and sent everyone else HOME. They kept us hanging until the last minute. KNOWING that there would be ZERO chance for the 50 people behind me to get a tattoo. Horribly organized. RUINED MY BIRTHDAY. thanks for nothing.

I got my first and only tattoo here, done by Mr. Koo. He did amazing job with the tattoo and it went far beyond what I was hoping for. Some mistakes we're made (faded lines, forgetting to cross a T) but he touched them up for free and now it's perfect. The lady at the front desk is very polite, friendly, and personable. The place is clean and modern. The products they sell are high quality. They are kind of expensive but you pay for the quality; and for a tattoo, quality is everything. I've reccommended them to my mom and her friend. Both got their first tattoos here and both plan on returning. I will be returning aswell.

Parking is difficult, but the Value Village around the corner has free parking all day and night. If you're looking for for tattooing, this is the place. Worth every cent. Ask for Ketzia!

I went in for a tattoo about a year ago and had a really bad experience. The tattoo was so expensive and was really small (the tattoo was the outline of something, was super minimalistic and wasnt colored in that much, but was over $200. I paid $110 for the same size tattoo at a different shop, and that tattoo was way more detailed than the one at ink and water). The artist I had didnt seem to actually care about it at all, like she kinda seemed checked out like she wanted to leave. I was told at the beginning by the receptionist (who was lovely) that I could ask my tattoo artist anything throughout the process. Because of the position of the tattoo, I laid down in a position where I couldnt see what she was doing and when I asked her twice how it was going she completely ignored me cuz she was blasting music through her airpods.

I've gotten 10 tattoos here and two are about to get a coverup. Initially was having positive experiences, especially with Astrid and Vic. but then I started picking up on their shady business practices – for one thing, the owners appear far more interested in social media growth and branding than good customer service and treating clients with respect (and that goes for both the artists and receptionists). Some artists who work here are extremely unsanitary – I had an artist literally use scissors to cut a whole in my saniderm AFTER it had been applied to the tattoo, and another would touch his phone and other items with his gloves on before proceeding to tattoo me. Just unacceptable. At the time I noticed but didn't realize the severity of what I experienced until I brought it up with far more experienced artists at other shops. I also had an artist pour rubbing alcohol all over a finished tattoo because she wasn't paying attention and thought it was water, and that burning was my most painful tattooing experience to date (and I've got over 18+, for context). Not to mention the owners' very disappointing handling of one of their artists being ignorant and racist toward customers and fellow tattoo artists. I read their apology and long story meant to resolve the issue but there is no indication since that was posted that any education has taken place, they're trying to sweep it under the rug now. I'm giving one star because of the one thing I like about the shop – there are very talented and kind artists there, who deserve to be at a better one. I recommend to those considering this place to do your research, be wary of apprentice tattoos even though the price is alluring, and check out smaller shops too, who tend to be more involved in their communities anyway even if they don't remind you over and over how a tiny portion of each tattoo "goes to charity." TLDR; I was really let down by this place's practices, artists and services after talking them up to so many people and spending a lot of time and money there. Now I have 10 permanent reminders of my mistake supporting this place when my support should have gone towards more ethical, hygienic studios with better customer service.

Bunch of pretentious bullies! Had an appointment booked for myself and 2 other friends for matching sentimental tattoos. Upon walking in, we were ignored by every single person/ artist in there! We waited and waited and finally asked the gentleman what we should do and where the consent forms were. He went ahead and told us, we dont have times for walk ins, call the shop and set the appointment. We then proceeded to tell him we had an appointment booked for today and that we were 5 mins early. He then literally looked at us, sighed and then walked towards the back ignoring us! Our experience was so unacceptable we as a group decide we cannot support a brand like this so we left! Stay away from this location! Go to their downtown one or just simply find somewhere else!

Got tatted by Andrew a couple weeks ago. I sent him a pic of what I wanted and he took it and made it even better. The end result was incredible. Seriously one of the best in town. Will definitely come back to him for my next tattoo.

Came in and booked an appointment with Prairie Koo after seeing his Instagram page. I love how friendly and talented he is. He is always willing to work with you to get the custom tattoo design YOU want. After it healed it turned out better than I imagined in my head. Will definitely return to this shop for future tattoos, they have an ambience that makes you want to stay!

It was my first time for a tattoo here and I loved my whole experience! The artist made me feel comfortable, opened everything in front of me, cleaned the chair, etc. and while he was very focused, still chit-chatted with me from time to time and checked in on me. The result was a detailled, perfect tattoo exactly as I had imagined and even better! If you like fine lines and lots of details, I highly recommend this place! :)

Overall good tattoo parlours. Been to both locations. Just be aware that with the fortune cookies they only show on ig the “cool/cute” ones and you can’t get them the same day. I have known a few people who have gotten some strange tattoos from them. (All part of the risk though). Also when I was scheduling two of my tattoos they kept messing up the locations and times I had wanted. But hey they also do a charity tattoo every month which is such a great way to give back to the community.

Went to the flash day a few weeks ago, went a few hours before the shop opened and although there was a long line, we were told nothing about a limit, a cap, nothing. Six hours later, waiting in the freezing cold, my friends and I finally get to the front of the line, with about a hundred people behind us still. We ask for an estimate of how much longer we will be waiting, the guy from the shop standing outside just says "oh you guys don't have tickets? Sorry but we stopped handing tickets out a while ago, we can't do any more" and that was it. Now I understand that it was good of them to try to organize this flash day but I would assume that after one, two, three, four hours of tattooing, they'll be able to guess that they wouldn't be able to finish the hundred people still in line. Naturally people were very upset, someone else came out of the shop and basically just said we are done for the day, book today and you can get 10% off and then went back inside and that was all we got after six hours of waiting in the freezing cold and rain. Completely unprofessional and rude. I have been to over a dozen shops and this one was by far the worst when it comes to customer service. I will make a point in the future to warn people away from this place.

Tattooed by multiple artists at this shop in the past and always a positive experience. Some artists have pretty long waiting times but it's worth the wait. They also do charity tattoos on a monthly basis which is cool.

Got a leg piece done by Kevin about a month ago. He was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Kevin was very communicative and collaborative, and was even willing to take the time to make changes to the final design in the day of our appointment – he made sure to schedule extra time on his clock so that we could discuss the design and revise anything. I saw another review that said that this store refuses to tattoo people of colour. Not sure what they’re talking about. I had no issues getting tattooed here, and many of the staff were also dark skinned. Kevin mixed his inks himself so that my tattoo would display on my skin properly, and now that it’s healed it looks phenomenal. Tattoo aside, customer service here was unexpectedly refreshing. From gaming cabinets to a patio to complimentary snacks and check-ins to make sure I was enjoying my time, I felt cared for as soon as I walked into the door. Hoping to come back and pick up some of Kevin’s flash art sometime soon.
