I had tattoo done by Felipe ,he's an amazing artist ,really really talented. My wife got her tattoos done by both Drew and Felipe and she was blown away. My wife wanted to get another done by Drew but she could not get her on the phone and the next date is in August, so she is going to pass on it. Just getting harder to get time slots. And the studio is sparkling clean and originally designed. Thanks.

Todd misinforms the artists when they actually have clients scheduled. So because he told the artist the wrong date, they decided to remove all of my already booked appointments after already having a deposit put down. Definitely would stay away.

Amazing experience from start to finish, from the consultation to tattoo, I had the privilege to be tattooed by Maddalena, she is true professional and master of her craft. She gave me the most stunning memorial tattoo for my daughter and handled it with the utmost care and respect. You will be in very good hands choosing Maddalena as your artist. The shops staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and Victoria will make you feel right at home. The shop is spotless and kept immaculate throughout the artists work day. The shop is filled with such amazing talent my wife found an artist Drew that she is now going to get a tattoo from. I highly highly recommend checking them out, it's worth every penny.

Sometimes going the extra miles is required to get a perfect tattoo. I did exactly 698 miles to get to Toronto because I knew that would be the best expertise, best quality and the best traditional tattoo possible in Canada. Trust me, It was. The owner of the place is an amazing guy, and he's the one behind my discovery of the place. He is also part of the reason why I had the chance to meet Pepsi. Nantachai (Pepsi) is probably THE best person I encountered in the tattoo industry. His prowess are well known, winning multiple prices in different places, but what I appreciated the most is WHO he is. Dedicated, patient, passionate and respectful is for me equally important as the talent of tattooing itself. Nantachai, thanks for who you are, we'll see each other for my next tattoo ????

I had thought of getting a tattoo for a few years. I went into two other places and was less than impressed with the attitude or vibe. I saw a friend's tattoo that was done at Bamboo. I was wow'ed. I came by for a consultation and was super impressed. Brandon took the time to explain how it works (a first) and we booked Evo. The studio is overhauled and really nice. I spent two days getting a tribute done to my three dogs and the work was amazing. Completely caught the nutjobs personalities. I am already planning another one and me definitely seeing Todd and the crew at Bamboo.

Went in a small tattoo.... they ended up convincing me I needed a full sleeve for $3000. The day of the appointment, the artist showed up an hour late....he then started designing the piece. According to the owner, it's normal for customers to wait hours in the lobby for the artist to finish designing the tattoos. I regret ever coming to this place. Safe yourself being hassled and disrespected.

I saw a bamboo tattoo 30 years ago and I wanted one ever since, so I had really high expectations. I booked an appointment with the artist, Pepsi for two bamboo tattoos (dragon and tiger). I gave him very little to work with and he came up with the most gorgeous designs. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the studio was that EVERYTHING was spotless. It was so clean it was incredible. The attention to detail was outstanding. All the staff were friendly and professional. That was three weeks ago. My tattoos have healed perfectly. The design is so awesome that everywhere I go people stop to admire them. Even people who hate tattoos have all admitted that these are the exception to the rule. I would go back to Bamboo Tattoo and get tattooed by any of the artists, especially Pepsi again!

I was recently at this lovely shop to get a tattoo. This shop is very clean, all the staff are very helpful (I am in a wheelchair and everyone did everything possible to make sure I could get in and out of the shop without any problems, and, my Girlfriend’s car battery died while we were there and the owner of the shop helped boost our car with a smile on his face the entire time) I got a tattoo by the incredibly talented Maddalena, a lady I have been following for about five years. Maddy is not only a magnificent tattoo artist, she is also a very kind sole. During my session, I had explained to her a bit about my accident and about some of my life’s issues. Maddy gave me advice, and reminded me that I can still live life to the fullest and achieve anything I want in life. It was very inspiring to hear this. I would highly recommend everyone who reads this to check out her work, and even if you don’t get a tattoo by her, take a second and say HI to her. I will definitely be back for another session to finish off my sleeve and I can not wait to see what Maddy comes up with to tie it all together. Thank you Maddalena from the bottom of my heart.

Words can't express how awesome Bamboo Tattoo was prior to and during my tattoo experience. I had a very large cover up that needed work and sent them a picture to get there input to see if anything could be done. Todd sent it to an artist who had an upcoming guest spot and said he could restore it in one full day session. Brandon, the manager, was upfront about the price and assured me that it would be done right. I trusted them and I'm glad I did. I met my artist, Peter Hlavačka and he was incredibly kind and honest about what he could/could not do before beginning. With that said, his work turned out AMAZING - it looks like an original work of art, a complete night and day from what it was before and I was blown away. Brandon also checked on each guest periodically to make sure everything was going smoothly during the process. The whole time I was there I felt very comfortable and at home as each artist was very approachable and the studio was super clean. I'm super exhausted from that session but if I want any more I'm going back to Bamboo for sure!! Thanks guys! <3

By far the most amazing Studio I've ever been to. I've read the other comments, let me start off by saying ... You can NOT put a price on art work, you get what you pay for. Sure you want something for less but the quality will show just that. If one does their homework, pays attention to detail you'll see that you'll been taken very good care of. Also with this expectation of coddling bedside manner, when one calls in and is looking & arguing for something cheep do you honestly expect to have your arse kissed... I've been welcomed since day 1, I've had to cancel appointments as I've had appointments cancelled on me. Life happens, they've been patient with me & I've spent many, many hours in the chair to see what kind awesome individuals they ALL are!! So yes I rate this Studio 5 star & then some, and wouldn't step foot into another studio. Don't look at the pricing as that shouldn't be relevant.... I highly recommend this Studio!!!! Tammy

I came here to get my first tattoo and I did reach out to a few shops but Bamboo (Jesse) was the most helpful and responsive with all my questions. Deciding to get my first tattoo was a big decision for me and after much research Bamboo tattoo studio stood out from the rest. I met with Todd who went through the whole process with me and emphasized the high level of quality I would receive on my tattoo design. I love the final product and wish to thank Pepsi for his great work. The studio is very clean and I like that Todd did not push me into the sale, in fact he told me to wait if I wasn't 100%. That helped me to realize that he was not there to simply sell me any tattoo but rather he made sure I would be satisfied with the final product. Great job guys!

Got my first tattoo there back in May of this year. I got a really small matching piece on my wrist with my best friend. The price was TOO much considering the quality of tattoo I was given. I paid $80 plus tip for a simple outline of a heart on my wrist. The girl who did my tattoo doesn't know how to do straight lines. Since it's just an outline I expected the lines to be completely (or almost completely) straight. If anyone is considering getting a tattoo look elsewhere. Sorry, but come on... it's just simple line work. Also, I would like to note that my best friend and I got the EXACT same tattoo by the same girl but for some reason they look different. I learned my lesson to do extensive research on the artist before coming in and getting something done. UPDATE: I just checked the website to see if i can find the girl that did my tattoo and she's not featured as one of the artists... She was probably a guest or apprentice or something but ugh I really wish i did my research!

Best Tattoo shop in Toronto! clean, big, nice parking available, good location and all the Artists are Amazing. Owner is super nice. Only downside is when you call to book an appointment the female receptionist seem kind of lost and don't have a clue about prices availability artists ect... one time I called to book and I was told to text the girl she took like 24 hours to reply then 3 days to reply.... ? Better just to walk l in and book .

Just a spectacular experience! My friend and I visited studio for the 1st time after texting with Todd the owner to set up appointments. I read some negative comments here about Todd but we found him a total sweetheat to deal with from start to finish. The studio is amazing, pristine cleanliness standards - even in customer bathrooms, and the decor is more like an exclusive nightclub with really good lighting ???? Antonio (visiting from Spain) was our artist and he did Mandarin character for "monkey" - the size of a quarter, on my 'monkey' + a beautiful, large original back-piece for my friend. Loved the place, loved the vibe, loved the artists, loved the price and loved the owner Todd!

I had a few conversations on the phone with their manager Todd who helped me with artist selection, pricing, and scheduling. I chose Enrik (enrikpopajarts on Instagram) to do my tattoo. Enrik did a amazing job over the course of the two days that he worked on my tattoo. He was extremely thorough and detail orientated. He took a lot of time to ensure the end result was going to be fantastic and it is. Overall, shop was super clean, beautiful, and all the staff are friendly and extremely talented. Thanks again!

I never write any bad reviews but I HAVE to because of my experience. I have a tattoo on my forearm that I wanted to get covered up with roses. I spoke to a guy on the phone, long story short he quoted me $3000. I wish I was joking/making this up. $3000 for a coverup! I have since gone to 3 different reputable tattoo shops and each shop quoted me under $500. I still can't get over their quote and am shocked if they have ever gotten away with something like this. Hope this review helps and people please do your research and go around to different shops until you find the shop/person you feel comfortable with!

I waited a while to post because I really didn't want to be angry when I wrote it. My son got his first tattoo there( a diabetic tattoo) that meant something to him . We did our research and this place had good reviews. My son went for his appointment and the artist was 45 mins late to start the tattoo. The artist then was inturpted by the receptionist with her cell phone asking about plans later that evening. Then he took off his gloves after being all set up to make.a social phone call. About half way through the tattoo he again got distracted by another artist who needed help with her camera, finally after what was supposed to be a three hour tattoo that ended up being almost five in a half hours He was done. The tattoo was super expensive and my son is going to have it re done due to the the ink being overworked into his skin causing an horrible mess. Would never recommend this place to anyone. There are a lot of cheaper places that do better work.

This is the only place that I will go to get tattoos done. Even though they were almost completely booked up, I was still booked in 2 days after I called. I got my third tattoo done there and I was extremely happy with the results. The artist was determined to make me feel happy and confident with the design, and had no problem making any changes that I asked for. The tattoos that I got done previously healed great..they are clean and readable (the quote on my back) and I really couldn’t be happier. The prices for all 3 were amazing, and I definitely wouldn’t of gotten that good of a price any where else. I am recommending Bamboo to everyone. So so happy.

Long overdue review. Got work done almost 4 years ago and couldn't be happier. Had a cover-up done over a really bad piece and some new work added. In whole almost an entire arm sleeve for a very reasonable price. Was impressed with the time Todd took with me to go over what my cover up was and why I wanted it. Pepsi did the work and I couldn't have expected a better result. Extremely happy with everything and have recommended shop to others and will continue to do so. Thanks for my great ink !

Worst tattoo experience of my life. I had made an appointment for a simple four letter word tattoo . When i arrived they gave me a beginner tattoo artist saying she was really good at fine line tattoos. I think this was like her 10th tattoo . They should really let people know that the tattoo artist is a beginner and not use clients as guinea pigs . She did not even speak english and spent 20 min trying to figure out what position i should sit in the chair . The tattoo was horrible and she cant even draw a proper line. Now i am left with this horrible tattoo that I need to get covered.

I had the pleasure of getting a tattoo from Magdalena and she gave me everything I wanted and more! The experience was fantastic from start to finish. I had looked at other shops initially but because my tattoo encompasses two styles I got the “the artist doesn’t feel comfortable doing it.” Instead when I came to Bamboo I was immediately offered a collab piece to ensure I got the perfect tattoo based on the artists area of expertise. The price was great and the shop is really clean! I have never had a more comfortable tattoo sitting in my life! Madz is great and I HIGHLY recommend anyone who wants realism to check her out! Looking forward to my second appointment with Drew to finish it!

Heard about this place a long time ago and was interested in bringing my girlfriend there . The tattoo artists have phenomenal portfolios so we wanted to schedule her first tattoo . Didn't even get past the first process due to a lack of professional customer service . I believe the gentlemen we spoke to was named Brandon . He was very arrogant and rude upon our first meeting . Needless to say never even got an opportunity to experience the artists firsthand due to his lack of professionalism . I think someone needs to reasses who they place at the front of the shop because if the front desk deters customers like myself away the artists will lose a lot of great potential customers . Hope that they revamp the front of the house .

Get away from this shop if you’re tryinna get your first tattoo. I went for a consultation and I let the person who I talked to that its gonna be my first tattoo and told him what I want and what size I want but instead of him making me feel free about what tattoo i should get or size I should get, he told me that they only do tattoo that would cost less than $2000 which is basically half a forearm tattoo, okay dont get me wrong their artists are amazing but they make you feel like you got no say what size tattoo you should get. I told the person I would want the size of the tattoo to be around 5”x4” but instead told me that they cant do that and it has to be big because they do very detailed tattoo, which made me think if they think their that nice they should be able to do a very detailed tattoo for a medium or small tattoo. Okay long story short, the person who I talked seems like he was tryinna hustle me since its gonna be my first tattoo and think i dont know anything. Dont go to this place if youre tryinna get your first tattoo save your money and go else where, chronic ink or playhouse tattoo can do same quality tattoo for less money.

HORRIBLE! If I could put negative stars on this tattoo place I would. I went there to get my first tattoo ever with my mom and sister. When I was with the artist she barely spoke English and had been doing tattoos for less than 6 months. The tattoo started fading a day after I got it and now I'm in the second week and the first 3 letter are completely gone, my mothers and sisters look the same if not worse. I contacted a few days after I got the tattoo saying we wanted to go back and get it fixed and Brandon said I had to pay again to get it done (this was days after we got the tattoo done, something that is supposed to be permanent). Worst customer service ever. I highly recommend to go somewhere else unless you like getting ripped off and having to get it redone again by another place. I am completely disgusted. Also they make you pay by cash and don't want you paying by debit or credit which I find highly unusual if you know what I mean.

I have gotten work done at several shops around Toronto and internationally... This was by far the best experience I have ever had. The art work is phenomenal, and the staff were even better. I have been back to this place three times now, I am always greeted by name, the owner personally comes to talk with me and asks how I am doing, if I am liking the work done, etc. Ty was my artists and he is one of the nicest guys I have met. The atmosphere is as amazing as the art work. I will definitely be coming back for more work, and even just to hang out.

Artists are wonderful and do great work. However, when communicating with the shop you are stuck doing everything via text. There is very little collaboration and you have to text photos from Google as a reference. I would recommend paying more but having some work with you on the design.

Highly recommend this shop if you're looking for a true five star experience. The shop itself is immaculate. Really beautiful, super clean interior and the best tattoo chair I've EVER sat in. It was such a comfortable experience which is what every person hopes for when getting tattooed. The staff was really friendly and the tattoo artist I worked with (Valentina) is AMAZING. Can't speak for the rest of the shop but one lady there seems to pride herself on tracing Images she sources online and putting them together in Photoshop for the end result - an embarrassing technique if you ask me. The tattoo wasn't even hand drawn. She seemed to use the whole "I'm an artist, let me do my job" spiel on me when I requested she change my tattoo around. And told me it would take too long to draw a tattoo for me by hand right out of her imagination. Something I feel is at the very essence of tattooing. The funniest part is that I am more skilled at photoshop and composition and if I wanted someone to mock up a design by sourcing images on the Internet and pasting them together in Photoshop, I would have done that myself. So basically this shop charged me for Photoshop work until I backed out to go with another more talented artist who draws their own tattoos by hand. Seems like more of a child's play tattoo studio for those who don't pride themselves on unique and one of a kind art. And trust me, I come from a very long line of professional artists.

Talented artists, but extremely poor customer service. I took my sister to her appointment and was told to come half an hour later. Showed up at that time, was told ANOTHER 45 minutes. Waited until then. 2 MORE HOURS went by and she still had not received my tattoo. Waited over 3 hours in total just to be looked at. Was told the owner would be back in 15 minutes so I could speak to him regarding the extreme wait time and he never showed up. Tattoo took 10 minutes to do and was NOT worth the wait at all. When it came time to pay, NO compensation was given. No gift card for another tattoo, NOTHING. Extremely disappointed with Bamboo Tattoo, especially after the amazing experience I had getting tattooed by Okami 9 months ago.

You have no say at this place. They’ll tell you who’s going to do your tattoo, how big it’s going to be etc. If you want a tattoo on the smaller scale (didn’t even think what I wanted was small...) they’ll just dump you on any newbie. I must agree with all the reviews that reference the poor customer service. I know people in this industry are generally laid back, but Jesus you guys- get it together. How many people have to tell you they feel like they have no voice when they come in?

I can only speak about Travis here, he refused to put any time into developing a concept. Avoided all emails and contact until the day of the tattoo, even then all he did was slap a photo I gave him on an arm for me to review with 0 design work and 0 effort. He convinced me to continue through saying it would turn out great. By the end of it he realized how bare the peice look so scrambled to add in more. The portion he copied looked OK, the additional parts look terrible and uninspired. Thank god I was able to find another artist to go over his work at a much cheaper cost. Terrible experience for my first tattoo and would never go back here. To add insult to injury Travis won’t even return my emails or calls to fix what he did. That being said the facilities are clean just don’t expect creativity, it’s copy and paste or nothing from my experience.

I don't think I'll ever get tattooed at another studio after my experience here. I will only come back to Bamboo - specifically to see Drew. I had her design a back piece for me, gave her a lot of freedom, and I'm so glad that I did. She is a true artist, and the passion she puts into her work is evident. Her line work is phenomenal, and the actual process of getting tattooed by her was strangely calming. I really couldn't be any happier than I am. Thank you guys for an amazing experience. Can't wait to see y'all again! Anyone in previous comments complaining about price - you get what you pay for. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good. Their work is worth every cent.

Horrible customer service! This review is not based on the tattoo artists (which are amazing by the way) but is solely based on Brandon the manager he cannot schedule an appointment for the life of him. Unfortunately I was unable to get my tattoo on two separate scheduled appointments and wasted my time in both cases. My first experience with Brandon was very frustrating and I ended up extremely disappointed. In March I was scheduled for a tattoo I spoke to Brandon on the phone and told him I would need a skilled artist that was good at doing realistic work for the amount of detail that was in my tattoo. He quickly assured me that all of his artists were capable of this. The day of my appointment I arrived and Brandon appeared flustered and disorganized he did not have the picture I had sent him of my tattoo and when I showed the artist who didn't speak a word of English she did not feel comfortable doing the work on me. Brandon told me I would have to re schedule with another artist in two months time. I told Brandon I was not pleased and his response was "I don't know what to tell you" is that any way to talk to a client ? No. My second experience was my appointment scheduled with the new artist my appointment was scheduled for 230pm today. I got a call from Brandon at noon asking if I was still coming for my appointment at 2pm I said yes he then asked me if I could switch to 3pm and I said no problem as long as the artist had enough time he said "he will have plenty". I then received a text from the artist asking me to come in at 4pm. I arrived at 330pm and Brandon told me Mikey the artist was ready for me. We had all discussed in March that he needed two hours to do my tattoo and when I arrived Brandon had told him I was there for a touch up that would take only 10 minutes. Needless to say I left with no tattoo and was asked to re schedule my appointment a third time.

I came in for a consultation last week and sat there for an easy 35min. I waited in the front where no receptionist or anyone else approached me. Everyone was smoking and laughing outside while it was obvious they worked there. Someone who seemed like a supervisor or manager, walked in looked at me, talked to a tattooer, and walked downstairs. 3 min later walked right by me again and went outside for another smoke... ? The blond girl who was also outside said absolutely nothing to me when she walked back upstairs. I was so frustrated that I waited until someone would approach me, which never happened. I was recommended to the shop by a friend of mine who gets their work done there, however the level of unprofessionalism and disrespect for customers was enough to turn me off. The work the tattooers do is phenomenal, but the service and management of that place is a joke !!! Fix it and run a proper shop!

By far the best and most professional shop i have ever been to. The way that they listen and work with what you want really makes the entire experience enjoyable. Todd the owner of the shop is also a really accommodating guy which made everything all the more worthwhile , i messaged him and explained how i had gotten a really stupid neck tattoo two days prior to coming into his shop elsewhere that i desperately needed covered up, i sent him photos of what his crew needed to fix. to which he replied by telling me to come into the shop as soon as possible. When i went in for the consultation he was more than willing to work with me around my schedule, because i work so much and was coming all the way from the east end he was willing to open the shop hours before regular schedule two days in a row just so that i would be able to make the trek out there and back to Scarborough in time for work. By far the best shop i've gone too. 10/10
