Got my brows done there by Diane she made me feel so welcomed and relaxed she was absolutely fabulous and always made sure to check with me as she was microblading my brows. I could not go for a touch up as I got pregnant but once this baby comes out Im running back for my brows again!! Also had my tattoos done here as well by Jenny, sweetest human ever. She made my sister and I feel very welcomed and took such good care of us.

I got my medusa pierced here last Tuesday and they were so comforting and helpful throughout the whole process, they had me informed with everything that was happening, how to clean it and they even helped me get a good nose ring I've been wanting for awhile! I had complications with my piercing because i accidentally harmed it but they emailed me back not even 30 minutes later to help me out and give me advice. This is a family!

When I went in for my consult, they confused the appointment time but Jenny made time to talk to me about my tattoo and was upfront and honest about the original idea I had. She made sure I was getting the best and longest lasting quality even though she could have just done the original idea and charged the same only to have it last a fraction of the time As for the shop, it was clean and the staff were pleasant and professional! Straight up told me the wont tattoo my hand because I don't have my whole arms done or not full of tattoos ... I have 2 ... my shoulder is a huge lion going way down my arm and other arm has a band going around my other bicep ... I explained I am turning 38 and want it for my birthday ... straight up no .... unless my body is filled with tattoos the lady said when I called back the second time ... ( first time was a man ... told me the same but asked someone in the background questions) . I'm a grown man ... I know what I want ... if a good tattoo you would see me again and again and again and again ... I'd have a bunch by this company and they could say look at what we did for this person ... RIDICULOUS ... also being a well known person in the community on fb ... ig and Twitter... I wont mention names in the feed but it will be known ... dont go here ...

Got my tragus pierced and I am obsessed with it! It was my first cartilage piercing and I was nervous and thought the pain would make me cry. But Sarai was very patient and professional - told me lots about after care and talked me through the whole thing. In a blink of an eye, it was done and I barely felt it. I loved my entire experience. The studio was clean, hip, and not intimidating and the staff were pretty cool and non judgmental. Highly recommend.

I saw Alissa Jane for my piercing and to get some jewellery for my other piercings switched out and she is amazing!!! The piercing that she did was perfectly placed and is healing nicely. One of my old piercings started to embed a few weeks later due to an incident and she helped switch out the backing for me at no charge. I had an absolutely awesome experience with Atomic Zombie! When I emailed in to inquire about a tattoo fix, Stephanie was very friendly and helpful- she recommended a consult with Jakob as he was the best person for this type of work. When I went in for my consult, Jakob educated me on the piece I had done and did a digital drawing of the ideas he had to build onto what was already there to make it something to be proud of. (which I was not, up until that point). As the tattoo was only 1 week old when I had my consult, I was booked in with Jakob after the recommended healing time. As Jakob books up quickly, I had to wait a few extra weeks but no big deal. Luckily he had a cancellation and they were kind enough to call and offer me an earlier appointment I was very impressed with everything that Jakob had done to turn my tattoo into something beautiful - he was great to chat with while he worked on the piece and I would absolutely recommend him. The shop was clean and professional. Everyone was very friendly and they seem to have artists with a variety of styles.

I went to Atomic Zombie first in October of 2011. I spoke to an artist named Jakob, and she agreed to tattoo a full sleeve for me. I paid a deposit of $100 for her to work on some artwork, and we went over the concept that I wanted for my arm. She quotes me $1200 for a half-sleeve and if I want a full sleeve it will cost me $2600. Fast forward seven (7) months later, and yay! She finally has something to show me and work can begin. The only day she can book me in, is one of my work days, but no biggie, I'll book that day off. It cost me $300 to book a day off work and get someone else to cover my shift, but I am anxious to start work on my new sleeve. I show up to get my tattoo on the appointed day, only to be told that Jakob has called in sick, and won't be able to work on my tattoo that day and that we'll have to rebook a month down the line. I am disappointed, but things happen and the owner Scott tells me he will talk to Jakob and make sure that $300 comes off the final price of the full sleeve. I go in and sit for 5 total sittings, and spend over $3000 to get what I have on my arm today which is half of a sleeve... it's basically the first thing she showed me which is a piece that goes from my shoulder 3/4 of the way down one side of my arm. It's unfinished and there is nothing on the back of my arm. The last and 6th sitting I go for, I show up for my appointed sitting and the artist Jakob has totally forgotten that she had booked me for a sitting. She's working on someone else, and quickly gets rid of them to work on my piece. She's supposed to be starting on the back and finishing up the front, only what she has on the stencil is not what we had discussed or talked about, and she gets the stencil on my arm when I realize it's misspelled and not in the style I want. She gets very frustrated and upset when I tell her she can't ink in anything else on me until she shows me what she's going to put on MY skin that's going to be there FOREVER. I go home after booking another appointment 2 weeks away. A few days before the appointment, she cancels and says she's sick. Then I get a voicemail telling me in a very angry sounding voice that she doesn't think she's the tattoo artist for me, and that she has tried 4 times to draw what I want but that it "can't be done" and that I should come get my deposit back for the $100 I initially put down. So basically I have a half-finished drawing on one side of my arm that cost me $400 more than the quote for a full sleeve which is definitely what I don't have. I called the front desk, and asked to speak to Scott the owner, and was told that I could leave a message for him, but that he probably wouldn't get back to me. Atomic Zombie seems like a good studio, and they have a very clean and attractive facility. Many of the artists seem like nice people, and they seem to do great work, but I would choose very carefully because their service is piss-poor, and at least Jakob is a prima-donna who pretends to know a great deal but has apparently never done a full sleeve and can't draw anything she hasn't seen on the internet first. I would NOT recommend this studio to anyone, and I will be consulting legal council as to whether or not this constitutes breach of contract to have a half-finished piece of work on your arm when you've already paid for more than the quoted price of a full sleeve and the work remains unfinished and your artist quits.

Gotten a couple tattoos done by Willis. I have absolutely no problems with the quality of his work. What I do have a problem with is the fact that Atomic Zombie has changed their policy. Apparently no tattoos will be done on Sundays now. Which is the only day my gf and I can make it down there. The reason we went to them in the first place is because they had Sunday appointments. We even asked Willis if he'd make an exception to do a literal 30 min touch up on two of his tattoos and him and the manager refused us. Sorry but I won't be taking my business to you anymore unfortunately.

Piercings are like $90+ which is way to expensive for basic ear. No price ranges on their site and prices aren't even listed in the store till they ring you up and it's awkward to back out. The jewelry wasn't even that special.

I had my second holes in my lobes pierced here in October of 2020 by Sarai. Everyone was fairly friendly and the appointment seemed to go well. The prices are pretty insane but I figured I was paying for quality, which I don't mind doing. Unfortunately the holes are extremely uneven to the point where it is obvious with a quick glance, and I am forced to wear different sized hoops so they look a little better and more even. When I reached out with concerns about the piercings being so different, I was told it was my fault for not coming in to get the posts shortened and that they had "migrated". Previously I had not been told to get them shortened, and I even came in for a different appointment a few months after the first one so they could've easily shortened them then, but they did not even mention it to me. I paid over $150 to get these done (that price is including the jewelry) and was basically told by Alissa in her email back to me that I could remove them if I wanted, but they didn't care either way as they had already got the cash. All in all, I will not be supporting this business anymore. I wish I had been treated with more respect when I voiced my concerns with the terribly placed piercing, and I honestly wish I would have just had quality piercings in the first place so I wasn't forced to voice any concerns.

Booking - was easy via email. I heard back within 2 business days and got an appointment for the following week. Did an over the phone deposit and received a confirmation / reminder call. The shop was welcoming and everyone was really friendly! Pip did my tattoos and he was fantastic. He's a great artist and a really cool guy! I'll be back to AZ to see Pip again for sure. Another customer brought in donuts and Pip went around and offered one to everybody so that was a nice treat. I'll bring in some treats next time I'm in!

First and foremost I was going to go to this tattoo establishment to see Steve for my second tattoo. Later on I was treated with disrespect and whatnot. I write a review on their Fb page and a lady comments saying "pm me" so I did she talks to me about these guys and asks if I got a tattoo done and I said no after how I got treated I thought screw this. She goes well I got my tattoo done by Steve. I said ok however she goes it got badly infected. Her tattoo isn't even finished yet. She got it done in May. Now has to wait maybe a year to have it healed and I told her who I see and she's probably gonna go to place I go to.... She sent me pics of how it looked before the infection and I gotta tell you I've never in my life seen a tattoo like this. I was shaking. I couldn't believe what I saw. She's in so much pain she got the money back but of course the business uses the waiver on her to make it look better and comment about the equipment saying it wasn't used properly. Now honestly anyone can go to this place but I personally wouldn't. My artist is fantastic at what she does I've never had an issue with my tattoos from her and no infection or scaring of any kind. She treats me with respect and honesty. I can't post the pics it won't let me but if anyone does wanna see what happened just comment on this review. I don't like people who can't do their job properly and get away with something so serious and unprofessional....

Came here for my first tattoo. Saw Jenny Lockert on the recommendation of a friend and she did a fantastic job. The line work was exactly what I had hoped for and the shop itself was very welcoming. The place was clean and everyone that I interacted with was really nice. I would definitely go here again. I only had to wait a month to get my tattoo as well which I thought wasn't bad at all. I had a really great experience yesterday at Atomic Zombie. I went in to get a new nose ring - I had my nose pierced about 12 years ago and haven't changed the ring since. I was a bit intimidated walking in since I don't have a ton of experience with piercing/tattoo shops but the gal who helped me out was SO great! She helped me pick out a beautiful BVLA rose gold ring for my nose, took out my old one (which had become a bit stuck over the last couple of weeks) and put the new one in for me. She was amazing, the shop was beautiful and clean and overall the whole experience (while only about 10 minutes) was so awesome. YAY! Thanks Atomic Zombie!!!!

I had two tats done by @katreenr about 6 months ago at the same time. First one went ok. Second not so much. Super disappointed with how she went outside the lines a few times and she wasn't very friendly. Glad she no longer works there. I changed my review from one star to three.

A bit pricey but I was ok with it considering this was the first time out of 3 times getting my nose done and it not getting infected. Went as a walk in so a bit of a wait but was fine with that as well as others had appointments. However, when I told the girl this was my 3rd time getting my nose pierced I guess she took that as a reason not to go over the care of it, which I tried asking her and she said "nothing has changed" that's fine...but I didn't remember how many times to clean it and what to do if those annoying bumps showed next to the piercing. This was a year and a half ago so idk if anythings changed there or not.

Have to agree with a previous review about the front desk people. After 30 years since I had one ear pierced I went to see about getting the other pierced but I was also looking for jewellery. As it had been a very long time since I had purchased, something I made quite clear, I was looking for help. The girl went and brought out one item that wasn't even an earring and seemed to indicate she didn't really have a selection to show. So I asked this girl, who had a lot of face jewellery, where I might go to buy something and she could not offer any suggestions. Not what I call good front end service. Updated: So I needed to replace one earring as I lost one somewhere in my carpet. After visiting many many places and not finding the right size post for my labret I was convinced by another shop to give these people another try. So, I took a deep breath and once again entered this business and this time, thanks to Alissa Jane I was treated to some very excellent service. Still had some problems finding what I was looking for but she was able to come up with a solution that will work quite well for now. So now I am going to say that Service is a 5

I went here to get my septum pierced again, and instead of just taking my money and adding a new hole, I was told that there was the possibility of one of my old piercing sites to not have healed shut and might just need to be stretched. This was the case, and I saved a bunch of money because the piercer, Alissa, is a total pro at her job. I'm excited to come back for more piercings and tattoos as well.

My mom and I went together and got piercings done by Alissa: my mom got her nostril and I got my philtrum (medusa). The result is absolutely fantastic! The piercings look great, and the process was quick and easy. Within 10 minutes (and a lot of patience on Alissa's part as my mom picked jewelry and I returned to the car to grab ID) the room was sanitized and set up. We were pierced in under 20 minutes. Alissa was fun to be around and made sure my mom, who was very nervous, was comfortable and enjoying herself. Overall fantastic experience! Though slightly more expensive than my last place, I'll definitely be going here for piercing and possibly tattoo from now on.

I would be careful with regards to appointments with Ray Bartley, I had an appointment with him and had given a security deposit. However I had to cancel and emailed him about it a couple days ahead of time. When I phoned the shop, I had been told that I did not respect the 48h timeframe to cancel (which I did). Result, I lost my deposit. The guy does good artist work but as a future customer, I would stay clear of individual with such poor business etiquette.

This was a disappointment. I for one was overcharged, I suspect because I am from another country. Just under $400 for 2 small tattoos. Also, my tattoo was unfinished. A few lines not completed, a very obvious poor job and not intentional. I specifically asked many times a fine fine line, however extremely thick line. My experience here was okay. I went to get my first earlobe piercing. It was intimidating walking into reception because the ladies there were not smiling and didn't seem friendly. They were just very quiet and neutral. As a result, I felt anxious the whole time I was there. They described for me the aftercare instructions but I didn't get a pamphlet or anything. It is my first piercing, how am I supposed to remember the cleaning instructions? I had to call back to confirm that I'm buying the correct saline solution at the drugstore. I did my own research beforehand and most of it is common sense, but it would be nice to actually get some written information directly from the piercing artist for first-timers. Also, being welcoming and friendly to first-timers would help.

I impulsively decided to pierce my nostril in November and walked into Atomic Zombie after a recommendation from a friend (LOVE that they do walk-ins). The experience from start to finish was awesome. I was quite nervous as it was my first facial piercing. Sarai did an amazing job! She was thorough in explaining everything I needed to know, and walked me through the process as she was doing it, which helped calm my nerves a lot. Her piercing experience was evident as she moved through everything quickly to minimize discomfort for me. I also had Alissa change my post length after three months and that was an awesome experience too. Overall just a great shop, very clean inside. The attention to detail with hygiene and cleanliness goes a long way. They also offer the best jewelry - both beautiful AND good for your healing piercing. They have a large selection. I did jewelry research AFTER getting pierced and was so relieved to know that Atomic is using top notch, titanium and gold jewelry for their piercings. 10/10. Would definitely get pierced here again (and hope to soon).

Atomic Zombie has become my new favorite tattoo shop. After doing lots of research on what tattoo artist I wanted to go to, I went to Mary a few months ago for branches on my arm. Last week I had her do the Pansy on my hand. Mary is very attentive, open to communication, and very personable. Despite her being open to my feedback and changes, I trust her to do whatever she wanted in terms of my tattoo. I've gotten 7 piercings here now - 4 lobe, 2 helix, and 1 daith, and I've had a great experience every time. Both the two resident piercers have been great. They have a wide selection of beautiful high quality jewelry pieces. Expect a high price - it shook me at first but I learned the benefit later. First, they do a great job, but second, its like insurance - you can come back in for checkups, problem fixes, etc. whenever you need to. When I was having an issue with an irritated helix they even gave me a free cleaning. Each piercing was placed exactly where I wanted it and looked beautiful. I got great advice on how to care for them. Even with the high cost it ends up being, I'll probably always get them done here!

Please be aware that the jewelry can get quite pricy but I assume that that's because of the good quality (I got solid gold). He did a vaporeon piece for me on my entire lower leg that looks amazing and I get compliments on all the time. I'm giving a 4 start rating however due to the reception staff. I always have problems and miscommunications or no communications at all. Every consult I have had the tattoo artist has not received the images and drawings they were supposed to. I've even had appointments booked into slots where they weren't supposed to be booked. The reception staff is very abrasive and rude and does not own their mistakes when they happen and play the blame Game. It's very frustrating at times.

Was told basically it's not gonna happen, he's not excepting clients.. well he is but not until February next year.. only excepting 16.. (so he is excepting clients!) was told he won't consulting with clients.. if he does tattoo it's only large pieces... if you do get in its what he wants.. it made no sense!! Rob.. you need a new middle man. I left feeling belittled.. upset and unheard. I understand the process is timely if you're a talented artist but I also mentioned I was available whenever! Besides the point... stick with one story, be a little more kind and less snotty to potential clients regardless. I was hoping for a better experience, was extremely disappointed.

I had Alissa pierce my rook after many years of removing my rook from the other ear which I got peirced at a different shop. I was a bit worried since the last time I got my rook done it got infected and was extremely painful. Alissa did amazing, she made me feel very comfortable. Really disappointed!! had my appointment with katreen she was really unprofessional, she didn't know how to operate the tattoo machine properly, she was going too deep and making it bleed more then it should. When my tattoo healed there were scars all over my tattoo, it looked like a bumpy scared tattoo. They should hire professional artists who know what their doing, i just wanna suggest everyone to look at the artists work and experience before getting a tattoo.

I've had a few experiences here over the last 15 years (piercing, jewelry purchases, tattoo consult). The quality of service has been highly variable depending on who is helping you. They will help you if they have to but with an overall snotty, arrogant, exclusive, high-school angsty, "I can't believe I have to answer your question, don't you know we're atomic zombie and don't need your business" kind of vibe. Listening skills were minimal, they seem more interesting in hanging out with each other than doing their job, and I felt like they even kinda pressure you. This was years ago but I think it's a prime example of the experience you'll get: An artist completely reworked a simple line-work image I brought in (in ways we didn't agree to like adding shading), then when I didn't want it tattooed on me he got really pouty and brought in the receptionist to back him up and pressure me. He wasn't open to changing it back or reworking it, and it's MY body it's going on so I think I have the right to say no and have that respected. Maybe there are good artists and actual adults that work here since there are good reviews... but I'm not going back to find out.

Went to get my lobes redone, since it's been 15 years since I had anything in them I assumed they were closed. They used a tapered needle like thing to check if the holes were there. Turns out there were holes still. It was quick and easy. The selection of jewelry to choose from was nice, and they had a lot of choice for gold jewelry. The ladies were helpful and patient.

I come here for all my piercings. Alissa and Sarai are great piercers. I also love the jewelry selection they have. Not many shops carry so many metal options which is great considering I can only wear gold. Only thing is it is expensive, but you get great quality.

I came expecting to get my nostril and septum repierced only to find that you could taper some piercings if they haven't closed fully, plus it saves you money!! Alyssa was fantastic so nice and fun made the process really easy and explained everything clearly. The only complaint is that their jewelry is a little expensive but it's good quality so you can't complain too much. Thank you guys for being so welcoming ???? Definitely recommend !

im kinda of sick and tired how this place claims to be the greatest in the land, and bashes everyone else. when I reality this place is the most expensive while being not close to the best in quality, tattoo artists love to run there mouths. but honestly the work speaks for itself. there is one or 2 people here that are pretty good, but also ive seen a lot of crap!!! and the service sucks. your egos will only get you so far. there is a lot of other artists and shops around that put this place to shame. people just need to do their research. they may be the biggest, and they may pay the most for advertising. but they are far far from the best, im not impressed by this place at all. I think they watch to much Miami ink and try to play games with people.

Amazing location. Had my septum pierced here today by Alissa as well had another piercing downsized and she was fantastic. She put me completely at ease and explained the process thoroughly. The piercing itself was quick, clean, and completely painless (a first for me, as far as piercings go). Can't recommend her enough. Jewelry selection was good but expensive (though very high quality, so this wasn't a drawback). The lady working the front desk was a bit abrupt.

Front of house staff very unfriendly, in this case, the slag of a female piercer. Asked her a simple question and got a snooty answer in return. The shop seems like they turn out nice work but the unpleasant reactions are not worth it. They charge a ridiculous amount for their jewelry and look at you funny when you decline the $200 stud. So many talented tattoo artists and piercers in Alberta, try elsewhere.

I would say zero customer service. They dont really care about customers. I sent them a picture of a tattoo and ask if I can come for consultation. They kept asking me to send more reference, And I told them twice I only have one picture and I want same picture as tattooed. Just so sad to see I have gift card from this place and I cannot use it.

My first experience with Atomic Zombie was as official hand-holder to my boyfriend. His artist was incredibly friendly, incredibly talented at what he did, chatted both of us up willingly rather than just ignore me as some might have. He was enthusiastic about the subject matter, and there's nothing quite like having an artist as excited to do a tattoo as you are to get it. My later experience was my own tattoo, booked once I saw how happy the boyfriend was with his work and experience. I had suggested one artist that seemed to be doing work along the lines of what I wanted, but the shop gently suggested that it might be more up the alley of a more experienced artist. I booked a consult with that artist instead. It was a very short consult, I now realize because they're just *that* busy, and yes there was a long waiting period, but that just gave me time to get excited for my appointment. Which leads me to my *only* quibble with the shop. I only saw my artwork the day of my appointment. I checked a day or two prior with the shop to see if it was done, and apparently it was but wasn't on-hand. This made me a bit nervous (as I would hate to go in, dislike the work, waste everyone's time requesting changes or worse, cancel the appointment), and I think I'd have been less nervous the day-of if I'd had even the night before to have a look at my artwork and decide on possible changes. BUT - it worked out in the end, as the sketch completely blew away my expectations. I requested a few changes (nervously, as I'd hate to insult the artist), she was more than happy to make them for me, and we ended up with a perfect end product that was exactly what I wanted. She was even willing to re-do the placement of the stencil for me when I didn't like the original placement, and again was perfectly happy to do so. When I mentioned I'd forgotten how the pain of a tattoo felt (been a few years), she told me she'd do a couple short lines just so I could adjust, which I was really grateful for as it let me 'calm down' before we really started in on it. It's a very open-door policy shop - you'll have staff wandering in and out of rooms to check out what work is being done - which I suppose isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I found the casual atmosphere more relaxing than other shops I've been to. It's also nice to have people talking about how much they like your design. She chatted with me the whole time, super professional, super fun. One big thing I love about this shop - EVERYONE is a nerd of some kind. If you're a nerd yourself, it's tattoo nirvana. As an aside, their piercing staff are also excellent. Alissa fixed my nose ring when I managed to yank it out on a towel while it was still healing, despite not having been the original piercer (I just happened to be at the shop for aforementioned boyfriend's tattoo), and was so sweet the whole time considering how much it hurt. She also didn't charge me after. It made me really want to go to them for my next piercing, or even just to buy some of the gorgeous jewellery they have in stock. Just all around a shop of talented, super-sweet, hilarious people. They feel more like friends than just 'the staff', they remember your face and name, greet you enthusiastically every time. They're great at what they do.

If it's visible, you need sleeves and other numerous tattoos first. I know someone that went there and has gone many times. I'm actually shocked at a response like that. Different atmosphere from when they were located on whyte.. I'm super disappointed .
