I went to black tusk tattoo on their opening day and loved the location and the building. Everything was really clean and they had a large amount of art on display. My tattoo turned out amazing. Definitely will be back for some more tattoos in the future. Really great artists here.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! So far I’ve gotten 2 tattoos from the guys at Black Tusk, and they are both incredible. Justin designed and tattooed my half sleeve a little while back, it’s absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to book him for the other half of my sleeve. He was precise, very communicative, and offered his expertise from sizing to placement to color palettes for present and future reference. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out, I get stopped literally everyday with compliments! After my wonderful experience with Justin, I obviously had no choice but to come in and support Black Tusk on their grand opening???? I chose a traditional style piece from the flash sale and got tattooed by Ryan, he did such an excellent job with it, and it’s absolutely adorable; he also was very helpful with placement and color choices. Both Ryan and Justin were very friendly and made me feel completely at ease, in fact everyone at Black Tusk was friendly, warm, and helpful, plus the shop is clean, organized, and inviting; the combination of the two make it a wonderful, comfortable environment to be tattooed in. I cannot wait to come back for my next piece, I 100% recommend Black Tusk Tattoo!

This place is an incredibly high-quality, boutique tattoo studio, a step up from a general tattoo shop. Comfortable, very sanitary and clean, both in appearance and how the artists handle your skin and work spaces. The artists here are actual artists with unique styles of their own, and the owner Justin is probably one of the forefront traditional tattoo experts in the country. Some friends and myself went to Black Tusk for their opening flash day and we were very impressed! Even for a brand new shop, they were quick, professional, and took their time and special attention to each person being tattooed that day (and there were a LOT of people being tattooed that day). My artist (Riley) was super efficient and considerate, especially when I was feeling a weird sensation in the area she was tattooing due to a previous surgery, and I couldn’t be happier with the flash she did. I’ve been going to Justin for years now and I have to say he’s by far my favorite tattoo artist. He’s done cover ups, big and small tattoos, and some really meaningful tattoos for me and always goes above and beyond with any ideas I’ve given him. On top of that, he’s always on time and tries his best to accommodate which is hard to find in this industry. And my tattoos by him have held up beautifully over the years. Can’t recommend him or this shop enough, it’s worth the trip!

Justin Tyler is a gem and super talented! He has done several pieces for me and the color and line work is super solid and absolutely beautiful! People think my 1-2+ year old tattoos are brand new.
