Everyone there makes you feel at ease, all very professional,and Devon was extremely understanding that I had arthritis and couldnt bend my arm all the way. I've gotten a couple of tattoos by Angel. Two were done during a flash day, and one was a personal idea. Angel has always made sure that I was comfortable and happy with everything regarding the tattoo, down to the smallest detail and his perfectionism is outstanding. He takes the time to remind me of the aftercare despite the fact that he knows I'm accustomed to it, which demonstrates his amazing professionalism. I also have two t-shirts that were designed by him, which never cease to get compliments, whenever I wear them. As of right now, he is my go-to tattoo artist, and definitely the artist I trust the most.

Very great experience here. I did a simple Google search and chose this place based off of their reviews; I contacted the shop via Google chat in the morning asking about walk in availability and they replied back within a half hour. Not only with a time and available artist but also providing some constructive comments/critiques about my intended tattoo location. This showed me that they are a shop that cares about their client's happiness and the art's longevity -- they are not a shop that will do a tattoo just for the money. The entire process of my tattoo, consultation, prepping, and inking, took maybe about 30-40 minutes. Abby was very professional and listened very well to what I wanted. Reasonably priced, good staff, and quality work. Definitely would recommend this place!

The staff is really friendly and the artists are very nice. Talented in drawing. The reason why I am giving them 2 stars is because my tattoo ink leaked and they said it was my skin type. The nice woman at the cash showed me her leaked tattoos and said it's normal. But I've come to realize, it's not. And that in my case it is because the artist pressed too hard allowing him to complete the tattoo faster as for him it was considered a small tattoo (it is the biggest tattoo on my body). Or maybe it's a just lack of experience. I had another, more experienced artist In Miami, do a much smaller, thinner and complicated tattoo in an extremely difficult area and it is perfect. No leaks. No smudges. Just perfect. The reason being he used the smaller needle that was required and took the time to go over it slowly twice, had patience and just honesty cared more. I still love the tattoo I got. It's super beautiful but if I had the chance to redo it, I would not go back to Abyss.

I have done my tattoo on the 9th of July. After sending her the image I origanally wanted to get done on my forearm on the day I arrived Abby after printing it said that it will not be possible to tattoo the details as they appear on the image. She was completely unpreppared. As I was only visting Montreal, I decided to change the image to one with less details. She did a really bad job. The tattoo is lacking symetry and the lines are not very even in the center of the tattoo. I am pretty dissapointed as after reading all positive reviews I was expecting more attention to detail and professionalism. Definitely not recommended

I had done cover up sessions with Abby the owner of the tattoo shop and to be quite frank, I ended up searching for another artist to cover up her work. There were a few red flags coming into my sessions with her that I should have followed but reading all the reviews and with the hope that with maybe more work and more sessions, my vision would finally come to life, I proceeded with her as my artist. From the get-go, she was unreliable. We agreed on a concept for my tattoo and that a sketch would be sent through email prior to my appointment, but that was never done. On the day of my 1st session, she arrived late and quickly sketched a draft to make up for never sending the email. I specifically asked if she had knowledge and experience in japanese art and she convinced me somehow that she did. After my sessions, my piece (thankfully) was incomplete but nothing seemed to connect nor did they match what we had initially discussed. She rushed a lot of the work and even forgot important details of my tattoo that I had to mention to her as she was going onto the next part of my piece. All this to say, cover-up tattoos are hard enough on their own and require so much attention especially since I had already undergone laser. I trusted her on finally bringing my vision to life and she ended up creating a bigger challenge for me to deal with. So please, if choosing to work with her, be specific and do your research.

I have been to several tattoo parlours in Montreal and I can tell tattoo Abyss has been the best experience I had by far. Abby is a gifted artist and painter, first of all, and she carries that talent into her tattooing work. I told Abby what I wanted (botanical design) only briefly and she came out with a design that exceeded my expectations from any tattoo artist. I loved the work she did and would definitely recommend her! She is also very nice and welcoming. The parlour overall is very nicely decorated (lots of gorgeous plants, Abby's paintings, nice ceilings), clean and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

I had a great experience getting my tattoo at Tattoo Abyss! I ended up with an amazing tattoo by ADZ who is a very skilled artist. The shop itself had a very cool vibe. It was an open concept with 3 chairs and 3 artist. One thing I would have to say is to meet with your artist in person to explain your vision since I found communicating via email to be difficult and bring some confusion. However, I would definitely get another tattoo here.

If your looking for a genuine and honest tattoo artist. This is the place . I say honest because i had tattoos done before and artists would just do wtv as long as they get paid. Abyss will actualy tell u if it looks good on u or not. If shes not satisfied with her work she will re draw it. No one does that. I needed a sleeve to be done in 2 days and she did it for me an amazing job. Had to give her an extra but her 2 day job was much better then other placees where i spent many days. Had an incredible experience at this shop! First, their online system of booking either a tattoo or consultation is incredibly easy to use and very convenient. Before doing so, I called and spoke to Naomi, the manager. She was super friendly, and after telling her what I wanted done, she told me that I could go ahead and book my tattoo online. I set up an appointment with Devon, then proceeded to email him with reference photos for my tattoo. He responded quickly, and within a few days sent me a sketch of what my tattoo would look like. On the day of the appointment, he took the time to discuss the direction of the tattoo and made sure I was happy with it, which I totally was. In the end, he created an amazing piece. If you're in the market for a new tattoo, I highly recommend checking out this shop.

Went in for a walk-in after discussing with their receptionist on the handy chat box they have on their site. I must say the ambiance was very relaxing and welcoming. I was supposed to see Angel but upon my arrival at the studio I was offered to get my tattoo done by Liane instead as Angel was still busy (I think). My experience with her was very positive, I showed her what I wanted to get and let her take the lead from there as far as style was concerned and I'm very happy with the result. I would happily get another tattoo with her. The place is very clean and the decor is lovely too. The pictures are of the tattoo and what it was based on.

Just recently sat and had my 3rd tattoo by Devon (left tricep and both inside forearms). I could not be happier with the results. Beyond professional from consultation to tattoo care. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted by owner Abby with a smile followed by greeting from all artists working that day. They absolutely make you feel like family. The shop is brightly lit, work stations are clean and comfortable. I've been in a lot of tattoo parlors in the 25 years I've been getting tattooed all over the city and I could not be more impressed by Devon's designs and tattooing ability. He works quickly and precise. All 3 of my tattoos by Devon have healed great woth little to no scabbing and look exactly as they did when i got out of the chair. I have referred 2 family members to Devon and both left very happy with the original designs created by Devon. Prices are standard. Same quoted rate per hour as the last 2 parlors I've been tattooed in...but the tattoos have yet to take as long as estimated so all 3 tattoos have cost less than the quote at our consultations. I could not be happier with the service and quality of work I received at tattoo abyss. Will be booking my next appointment for my Zombie Pin Up Girl with Devon very soon. So should you.
