Spoke on the phone with two girls and asked if I can bring my own jewelry for a tragus piercing. They said it's possible but they need to see if the jewelry is the right one and the right lenght in case i have some swelling. Drove 30 minutes and wasted 20 minutes to find a parking, just for another man to tell us they can't pierce with it since it was bought in a store that didn't sterilize it. Not upset about what he said but i'm upset that the people i spoke on the phone with didn't tell us about this important detail. I guess they didn't know about it. It's important to let them know.. I would've not wasted my time to go there. Went to Adrenaline instead since they have a the machine to sterilize it.

Charles Sauve was my piercer for my first two nipple piercings. I was extremely pleased about the quality of service he gave. Very professional and well informed. Although I have many piercings and tattoos, I am still prone to fainting, especially when getting pierced. He was very accommodating and made sure that he checked in on my well being numerous times throughout both piercings. I never write bad reviews but it’s been over a year since I got this horrible tattoo from here and I’m finally getting it fixed somewhere else. My first tattoo ever and probably my last because of how much I regret it. I can’t remember who did this but the line work is terrible! From afar it looks average but up close you can tell the detail is sloppy. Looks like a child’s drawing. I paid $137.97 for this on Jan 13th 2020.

I've been getting ink for 33 years. Sai was my 18th tattoo artist and my favorite. She was so patient and extremely detail-oriented. She didn't rush at all. She took my ideas and feedback and requests into consideration (I've had tattoo artists argue with me about what I want on my body), and she had interesting and creative ideas. Fair pricing too. I only have 1 piece of constructive feedback for the shop: heavy metal music for 3.5 hours became a bit tedius. It would be nice to vary it a bit. (Translated) I went to make a jewelry change for my Helix, as I wanted a smaller ring. However, I had a relatively cool piercing on the same ear, a little lower. I was asking the drill I was assigned for advice on what jewelry I should put on my helix, but she was paying no attention to me and looking jaded and rushed. Between two of my questions, after putting the wrong jewelry on my helix, the charming drill also ends up removing my fresh piercing. She makes the jewelry change on my lower piercing, the one that wasn't healed, and she puts on a small ring. Since she is a drill, I tell myself that if she puts me such a small ring it is because she must consider that it is healed. Three days later I have a bubble of blood and pain at my new piercing. Finally, after realizing that it doesn't look normal, I go to another studio where I am told that the ring was indeed too small and that in addition it was crooked, so he was in the process of m. 'chip the ear little by little. Your studio is cute, but you should review your members' motivation to work there. (Original) Je suis allée pour faire un changement de bijoux pour mon Helix, car je voulais un anneau plus petit. Cependant, j’avais un piercing relativement frais sur la même oreille, un peu plus bas. Je demandais des conseils à la perceuse qu’on m’avait assigné par rapport au bijoux que je devrais mettre sur mon helix, mais elle ne me prêtait aucune attention et avair l’air blasée et pressée. Entre deux de mes questions, après avoir mis le mauvais bijoux sur mon helix, la charmante perceuse finit par aussi m’enlever mon piercing tout frais. Elle fait le changement de bijoux sur mon piercing plus bas, celui qui n’etait pas guérit, et elle met un petit anneau. Puisqu’elle est perceuse, je me dis que si elle me met un anneau aussi petit c’est puisqu’elle doit considérer qu’il est guérit. Trois jour plus tard j’ai une bulle de sang et de la douleur à mon nouveau piercing. Finalement, après constater que ça n’a pas l’air normal, je me rend a un autre studio où on me dit que l’anneau était en effet trop petit et qu’en plus il était croche, alors il était entrain de m’efriter l’oreille peu à peu. Votre studio est mignon, mais il faudrait revoir la motivation de vos membres à y travailler.

It's moments like these I'm thankful the shop keeps client release waivers. The shop has no records of tattooing a "Jonathan Couvrette" nor do I recognize his face when I attempted to contact his facebook account to sort through any issues he might have had with my work ethic. I still have yet to hear a reply, and it's becoming clearer that I won't. I noticed that every part of my ethic was attacked, rather than a specific mention of what I failed to do to achieve the specific piece he wanted. For those of you who might be convinced that his review isn't a fake, I sincerely hope you take the time to swing by the shop to see what we are all about; and book a free consultation with myself to truly feel comfortable with the direction I choose to take a piece. My portfolio should show you what my capabilities are, and my welcoming nature should assure you that I take every piece with the up most importance. I love my shop and job; I would never do anything to jeopardize my integrity as a person or an artist.

got my septum pierced today with a friend and moia was so sweet and helpful! she guided us through it and put us both at ease. the entire shop looked very clean and sterile needles/jewelry were opened up right in front of us. not sure why people are complaining about prices here; you're paying for a good, clean environment, friendly staff, and quality jewelry, so i don't really see the issue. will definitely return if i'm ever looking for another piercing! thanks ^ ^

I just stepped in on Sunday to get my first tattoo and I was told to wait for 20 minutes as the artist just stepped out. But after few minutes I had another artist Jeff who agreed to tattoo the design which I wanted. Guy was really cool the way he handled stuff was amazing. Suggest the design I should go by. And he started to work on. It was a great experience guys were good enough to handle their customer. So next time when you step in to Montreal just head towards to Slick Styled steel and leave the rest to them. Hey JEFF thanks for the tattoo!

I was depressed since my life took a turn and I decided to get tattoo. I got two tattoos which are really near to my heart. No doubt the tattoo artist is amazing but one of tattoo needed a touch up right after two weeks I had. But because of lockdown in this beautiful city I was unable to book the appointment. I tried to book it again after the lockdown but now they want me to pay extra $65 for the touch up and its just a “O” which needs the touch up. I don’t recommend this place because their ink appears green instead of black.

Piercing review: If you know what you want going in, you'll be fine. If you are a little unsure about what location you want pierced, what jewelry piece you would like to customize or a consultation -you're more on your own. You need to know your stuff going in but they are definitely professionals and know what they are doing - very clean. I spent the whole weekend on my own figuring out how Anatometal pieces worked with each other, I was just told - go look at spare parts or come in (but when I did come in... they were on Facebook or chatting each other and not going through the site with me to explain what exactly I needed to look for/at). I'm a smart cookie so I eventually caught on to the different parts and terms. But that's not how it should be.... and this being a repeat customer may I add (got the helix, tragus, forward helix pierced there and brought my mom for the lobes). I find them a little "too cool for school" and a little abrasive overall, but that really depends on who you get and if you're a just a little bit more complicated or detailed, it's not as smooth. Also, I went to another piercer to see pieces they had for additional piercings and they pointed out that my older piercings had some growth (still can't pin point if it's a cyst, abscess or keloid) and yet nobody pointed it out when I went to Slick and even asked if it was doing okay when I popped in for future piercings. Be aware, know your stuff and know your aftercare. Ask questions, research.

I’ve gotten pierced here at least 5 times over the years and every time is a perfect experience. Everyone is friendly, considerate and professional. Everything is super sterilized. I got 2 piercings from Charles today, and he was extremely considerate and lead me through the process step by step ( even if I was an experienced customers). Super fast, virtually painless experience. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had there! They care that your piercings heal properly and want you to be informed and aware of after care. Truly 10/10.

I originally went here 2 weeks and 5 days ago to get spider bites pierced on my lip because of my friend's recommendation. A man that did my piercing and he was great! He put the piercings right on the edge of my lip and I was very happy. He told me to return within 2 to 3 weeks to have shorter ones put in. I returned with my friend 2 weeks and 5 days later and was helped by a woman. She was not friendly right from the start. She walked away from me and didn't ask me to follow and then came back irritated. She proceeded to tell me it looked very red and swollen. Which of course I did not see or I would not have come in. She kept telling me to look at myself as if I were blind and or had never seen my face. She told me they would never tell me to come back before 3 weeks (which is false and also I was only 2 days shy of) and she said that I will always get them caught while I'm eating. It seemed to me that she was trying to tell me all the things I was doing wrong rather than giving me her professional opinion. I ended up walking out with my friend when the lady said "you need to start eating slower and stop rubbing your lips together which you've done about 12 times since you walked in." I found her to be incredibly rude and I will not be returning. She turned a great experience bad.

I went there earlier this month as a walk in. The staff is very friendly and professional. My tattooer was Sai. Her art work she has on the walls are absolutely breathtaking. And the tattoo she did for me was equally as wonderful. So in total, a very good place to go if you are looking for a high quality tattoo with nice service.

The only piercing I ever had was the typical simple earlobe piercing that every girl gets at a young age with her mom. But today I finally got my first more on the wild side piercing. I got my navel pierced by Charles and it was a walk in. I always feel intimidated to walk into tattoo shops for some reason but it didn't matter once I stopped stalling, gathered the courage to finally walk in and stated I'd like to get my navel pierced! There was a girl who gave such a friendly smile upon entry which made me feel welcomed and at ease right away. She showed me the jewelries and walked me through the whole process, she even accompanied me during the piercing. Felt like she was there supporting me like a friend would lol. As for my piercer, Charles, he was very reassuring and honest. He will tell you exactly what he is doing and when he is about to pierce you so no surprise pain :). I'd recommend anyone to go here for piercings. I know I'll certainly come back here in the future for more

Honestly, one of the worst experiences of my life. I can't say this for all the tattoo artists, but the one in particular which I dealt with was one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I've been yet to encounter. To begin with, the "artist", and I'm using this word liberally, didn't seem particularly interested in listening to what exactly I wanted. Her demeanor was extremely condescending and arrogant. An other red flag was when she threw my reference picture away, but being naive, I trusted her and was scared to speak up as I didn't want to annoy the person who was permanently putting something on my body. The end result was a sloppy and hastily done job FULL of artistic errors. Sorry, not sorry Smashley but you have absolutely no sense of proportion, shading, line-weight or basically anything relevant to graphic aesthetic. Maybe you weren't particularly interested with what I had wanted done, but part of your job like anyone else's is sometimes having to do things you're not necessarily enthused about. That's not an excuse however to do half-assed work.

I got a conch piercing a little over a month ago with Charles and it went well. He was patient and answered all my questions. The only piercing I had were regular lobes, so I was a bit worried about infections and pain. His answers had no judgements. I felt comfortable. He was professional. I went back within the following week because my ear was swelling and he took me in without a problem. Gave me advice and offered to change my earing at no cost if the swelling continued. I did not need to go back, but it was nice knowing that I had options. No regrets and no problems since. I recommend.

I went to Slick Styled desperate because I had my nose pierced at a local establishment and they messed up; everything from using an earring as a nose stud to after care instructions. I visited this place and they gave me a better (longer piece to accommodate any swelling) jewel for my nose and they suggested better care instructions. It took only 2 days after visiting Slick Styled for my nose to show improvements and signs of healing. I had had the piercing for 2 weeks struggling and had started developing a CRATER ????????‍♀️????‍♀️on my nose due to pressure from the earring. I fully recommend them, very knowledgable, no hidden/surprise fees, wonderful customer service and very skilled, kind and understanding piercer (Cheers Richard!) Walked in to get my nose pierced and my lip reopened. Claudia was my piercer tonight. She is very professional, quick and smooth. Very personable staff and a great environment. On top of all that good stuff they have a beautiful array or jewelry and many options of materials to choose from on top of having VERY competitive prices. I came here with high expectations and ended up very disappointed. Leo was my artist, and though his profile indicated skill with black-only tattoos and intricate linework, he was extremely heavy handed on my tiny, simple tattoo and it ended up blown out. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and returned to have it touched up, only to have it come out even worse. I was not happy and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great costumer service but terrible piercing job. Got both my nipples pierced 2 months ago. He put too small of a bar in, to a point where both piercings now have a tremendous amount of scar tissue. To top that off, one of them is pierced crooked. Unbelievable disappointed for the price of the piercing. Train your staff better please, so no one has to go through what I did.

Piercing was great but as some of the other reviewers said, the tattoo artist was rude. I couldn't trust or communicate well with the stubborn staff that I was with and ended up not getting a tattoo. He also scrunched and threw my sketch away without telling me. He definitely didn't know the meaning of "symmetric" and "identical" as he kept saying his sketch was symmetric and identical to mine, which obviously wasn't.

I went there to get a nipple piercing. Even tough I didn’t have an appointment, I only had to wait 10 minutes which left me some time to check out the jewelry. The girl at the counter was really nice and really made me comfortable! There is a great selection of jewelry and it is affordable. The piercing in itself went well. It didn’t hurt. The piercer was not really talkative like he didn’t really explain to me what he was doing. At least, the girl at the front was supportive but he was not comforting at all. My piercing is a little bit crooked but it’s hard to it’s not that bad. It healed perfectly and it doesn’t hurt so I am really satisfied even tough it’s not perfectly straight.

I had a wonderful experience bringing my 7 year-old to get her ears pierced. The owner, Richard, was professional, informative, and respectful. The other team members were all very kind and encouraging. Richard made sure my daughter wanted the piercing and was excited about it, and that both she and I were comfortable with each step of the process. My daughter got very nervous right before the actual piercing, and although everything was already sterilized, set-up, and marked, Richard stopped what he was doing and told my daughter that she didn’t have to do the piercing if she didn’t want to. We left without the piercing, and decided to try again an hour later when she felt more comfortable. It was a success! My daughter is so happy with her newly decorated ears, and I’m thrilled to have found a place that showed genuine respect for my child from start to finish. I highly recommend Slick Styled Steel. I had my septum and both nipples pierced there. All three piercings were done by different piercers and they all went off without a hitch. Very clean shop with proper sterilization measures. I fully entrusted placement of all three piercings to the piercer and was extremely pleased with the results. They also all healed exceptionally quickly with minimal swelling, pain or discharge. Came here for a walk-in during my trip to Montreal. I had to wait quite a while to get my tattoo done but I can understand how much time they need to spend on each client's tattoos. The staff were very friendly, and I felt very welcome while I was waiting for my slot. My tattoo artist was Amanda and she is amazing. I brought in my own design which required steady hands as there were a lot of straight lines, and she really nailed it. She was informative and incredibly helpful in terms of the placement of my tattoo and having it look perfect. Will definitely come back here for another tatt on my next trip back to Montreal.

But then when it came time to pay he pretty much forced me to tip him, which again I wasn't unhappy about the service, but it definatly made me uncomfortable and took me off guard as I dont feel like I HAVE to tip. A guy (he didn't tell me his name) was very professional and offered good advice on the placement for my nose piercing. The needles and jewelry were opened freshly in front of me, he wore gloves, and asked me if i was ready before each time he inserted the needle. I definitely recommend going here to get pierced, and I will surely return here in the future.
