I drove all the way from Ontario to get a tattoo. Upon arrival the artist told me that she was having trouble designing my tattoo. Rather than telling me in advance knowing how far I was driving from she waited until I got to the shop to inform me of this and show me the work. It’s art and I completely understand being stuck but it looks like she took some skull and drew some squiggly lines on it and tried to say it took her all day. This clearly lacked effort and I feel completely disrespected. She then refunds me 50% of my deposit as a “middle ground” — this is what really upset me. She knew she was having issues and still did not tell the client before the appointment but it’s okay for her then to take half of my deposit?! Completely unacceptable and poor customer service.
