Went here around 7 months to get a naval piercing. I had a great experience and my piercer was extremely professional and really explained the process. A really great and welcoming place to get pierced at. However, a couple days ago my piercing started to migrate and reject. I went to another piercer to get it checked out and he said that my naval was pierced too shallow and I wouldn’t have had any issues if otherwise. Now I’m going to have scar tissue and I have to wait a year for it to heal before getting my naval repierced

Too much to explain. But here's the short-story do not expect Good customer service and READ ANY EMAILS THEY SEND THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINT IF YOU ARE BRINGING CHILDREN to get piercings.. Long story...We had No idea We needed Multiple forms of ID because our initial consultation was May 2020. We booked our appointment a Year after our consultation so our daughter would be 6 when she got her ears pierced the 1st time. This was supposed to be special and Fun. We had our 74 yr old aunt with us because she was getting her ears pierced again and she wanted a nose piercing. We also had our 13yr old because she wanted a 2nd piercing in her ears. As we were basically dismissed by the front staff we were told our 3p appointment had been taken by either a walk in or another customer. Smh not ok. The people at the counter were so unbothered and condescending. I'm glad we were unable to make it work. We will take our business elsewhere. I like to be appreciated as a customer. TRX was a Horrible experience

Stan is the man. Got a nose piercing at Iron Age before this. Struggled with infection for a year and finally gave up. After a few months visited TRX and Stan was awesome. The way he did the piercing and the nose pin he used were flawless. Healed quickly and now it's been a year. No issues AT ALL. Now I've moved out of stl but don't mind making a trip only to get another piercing here!

Made me feel comfortable and worked fast but also carefully!! well worth it if anyone is looking to get any type of portrait or a tat of a female, i would definitely recommend getting it done by her... ps she is more than willing to work with you on the drawing untill u absolutely love it before she tattoos you... i will add a pic when it heals

I came in for a jewelry change on a 6 month old piercing that has been having a lot of trouble healing. I had the piercing done elsewhere and wasn't given very good aftercare instructions (wash with antibacterial soap, put tea tree oil on it if it's irritated, try hydrocortisone cream if that won't work etc). Being new to cartilage piercings I followed the instruction of my previous piercer and here we are 6 months later still not healed and with an unhappy piercing. My experience with Moy seems to be different than most as I found him really abrasive and short with me from the first moment we met. He was helpful in the sense that he recommended the best quality jewelry and size for my piercing and placed that in my ear instead of the cheap steel that I had before, but other than that the whole encounter was very tense, awkward and hostile. I want to give the benefit of doubt since this is the only experience I've had like this at this shop. But I don't feel I deserved this treatment especially when I tipped for the jewelry change even before meeting him because I expected another pleasant experience being that is all i had had here prior.

Went in last Saturday to get my nostril pierced, and I was extremely pleased with the results. Saturdays they do walk-ins (which I was aware of from calling ahead!), and they were very accommodating even when we asked to be pushed back on the waiting list so that we'd have time to get lunch. I decided to get my piercing done by Stan since I read other good reviews by him, and it was a great decision :) I was a little nervous, and as others have said, he's pretty chatty, very professional, and he made me feel very comfortable. He is so knowledgeable and has been doing this for a long time which made me less worried. He asked me some really important questions that I never would have thought of (like if I planned to wear a hoop at any time, because if so, that could affect the placement). Everything was very clean/sterile, and TRX is a member of the Association of Professional Piercers which was all a plus for me. Overall, I don't have any complaints and would definitely recommend Stan at TRX for piercings :)

I think 1 star is even too much, but I drove 40 minutes here for my friend to get her tattoo, it’s in the heart of the city in a bad place and as soon as I stepped foot in the door the receptionist was incredibly rude to me. She had an attitude and told me I couldn’t even wait in the shop with my friend and had to leave because there were too many people. There was only one other person in the shop. She kept giving me snobby looks and eyeing me up and down and while I was trying to talk to me friend telling her I’d be waiting in the car she interrupted our conversation and told me to basically get out already. One of the rudest people I’ve ever met.

I love this place. I have gotten all of my tattoos here and all but one piercing. Stan is great, funny, and very calming for anyone that hasn't been pierced before. They are reasonable on their pricing as well.

I had two good piercing experiences here before, but my last one was memorably bad. I would give this experience alone one star. I like this place for their jewelry (even though it's pricey) and made an appointment to get new jewelry for healed piercings and a new conch piercing. The lady at the counter was helpful in picking out my jewelry, and I was super excited to be getting hoops for my healed piercings. I waited almost a full hour after my appointment time to be seen by the piercer. It started off on a bad foot because he didn't like the hoops I picked out and said they would ruin my piercing. I didn't understand why they would sell jewelry not recommended by the piercer.... so I told him I still wanted the hoops. He immediately had bad attitude (throwing down my folder), and told me I would hate how the piercings turned out but if I insisted he would do it. Nothing contrary to his technique, but I hated his attitude and instead of being excited for new expensive jewelry I just felt really uncomfortable. He also took a looooooong time (hence the one hour wait). I appreciate precautions but... what is the point of making an appointment. My boyfriend was very distressed that I was taking so long and wasn't allowed in the shop due to COVID (and it was past their closing time by the time I was done). I don't think this piercer works there anymore, which is a relief.

I’ve never taken the time to write a review until my experience with a young lady with a beard on today I work in customer service myself and I can tell you it’s the before and the after experience that determines if you would return. I was there to receive a nostril earring which I’ve purchased from this store a few years ago. I couldn’t believe the total disrespect and rudeness I received they made me feel as if I didn’t belong there not pleasant are helpful in anyway I let her know she was not good at customer service and she just said I’m not like oh well... I continue to look at jewelry and ask for prices and she walked away to help someone else as if she was done with me that was the final disrespect I could withstand and I just walked out of there in total disbelief I don’t know if she was having a bad day are what but it has been stayed leave your problems home... I would appreciate if whomever respond to this email let me know when to come in to discuss my concerns in person because it is very important to handle problems like these before people be wondering what happened to such a fine establishment I asked to speak with a manager she stayed I am the manager and I just can’t believe a company’s would put someone of this magnitude in charge???

This was my 2nd time at TRX: the first was with my cousin to get a piercing which was a GREAT experience! She is type 1 diabetic and was under 18 at the time but everyone was super nice and helpful and they did an excellent job on her piercing. They let two of us back there with her and made it an easy and relaxed experience for her! This time I went for a tattoo: Beka is AWESOME!!! She is super chill and willing to work with you and is careful to make sure you get exactly what you want in your tattoo! She takes the time to make sure that she knows exactly what the end goal is and then gives meticulous attention to getting exactly that! All while being super nice and chill! The whole experience was easy and fun and then end result was a tattoo that I love! She’s a real deal artist and everyone at TRX is awesome! Go there!

This may just be me, but the piercings seem to be ridiculously overpriced. I paid $140 for a lobe and conch piercing. Then there’s also the fact that the piercer spent a minute or two digging in my ear to get the jewelry through the hole,although maybe that’s more of a common problem then I realize.

I would be giving them 5 stars as the artist did a fantastic job on my tattoo (although my body didn't like it so much) and the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. The artist, however, when I was getting my tattoo, was kind of rude. He kinda poked fun at my social anxiety and inability to answer questions because I find it difficult to do so. I'm hoping it wasn't malicious and maybe he was just trying to deal with the situation but it definitely made me want to get out of there and very uncomfortable.

Went in and got two piercings. My tongue and "special area" it's been two weeks and both are healing very nicely. The sweet lady Jezebel that did them was a true sweetheart! Before appointment, Jeff D. thought it would be ok to argue with a customer who disagreed with his pricing. Male clerk at desk is a liar as well. Wish i remembered the clerks name. Hes a jerk. I've gotten two piercings at TRX - a nostril (re)pierced by Jezzy and an upper ear cartilage by Stan (Stan also re-pierced my 2nd lobe but the holes were still open so he basically just put earrings in for me) - and have had nothing but great experiences. They don't take appointments for piercings so there is sometimes a bit of a wait, but South Grand has a ton of shops and food. Counter staff and Ash in particular are so friendly and helpful... Always patient and informative while I'm hemming and hawing over jewelry and letting me compare sizes. TRX is the only place I would get pierced in STL as it's the only shop that has APP certified piercers.

Shop is great. Very clean and friendly, follow COVID guidelines. Tattoo experience, however, wasn't so great. Started working with an artist just after Thanksgiving on a leg tattoo. Took a while to get any kind of rough layout, but he was busy - I get it. Fast forward almost two months later, we go to start tattoo and about an hour into the appointment, artist says layout won't work. I offered to come in a week or two before for a fitting, in case it didn't work (never took measurements or pictures of leg for laying it out, seemed odd) - artist insisted on waiting til day of appointment. I wanted to give TRX a chance, heard great things, I'll be starting over at my usual shop. Very disappointing.

Came to TRX wanting to get my earlobes re-pierced. I'd had a bad experience (inflammation a few weeks into the healing, probably a metal allergy) with the original piercing, which was done at a mall kiosk, and took out the starter earrings early. When the irritation abated I tried to replace the earrings, but was unsuccessful, and gave up, certain that I had closed tracts. In the years since, I became a physician, and so recently I began to consider doing the re-piercing myself, or asking a surgeon friend to do the honors. After some consideration, I decided to just seek out a professional. Humility sometimes pays off folks. I am so very glad that I stumbled upon Stan, probably the most experienced professional piercer around these parts. He examined the lobes, and explained that there might still be tracts present. I had my doubts, but he was right. One side was completely patent, though shrunk down, and so he carefully (and painlessly) worked a blunt tipped rod through. The other side had a very thin layer of skin to pierce, which he did at no charge to me. Had I gone straight at them myself with a catheter needle, I would have caused a lot of unnecessary trauma, and likely ended up with messy crossed tracts. I left with titanium studs, and sound advice for the slightly modified after-care in this situation. Overall an excellent experience.

The nicest people work here but my navel piercing was crooked and had to be taken out. She put the piercing really low and I had to use a special belly piercing because she made the hole very long. I had to find a special, longer ring for my belly. I've also noticed it got VERY infected, I just got my navel repierced 3 weeks ago and I haven't had ANY problems. I have a normal sized belly button ring, no infections, etc. Waste of $100. Yes, ONE HUNDRED dollars for one belly piercing.

My sister and I decided we wanted to get an inverse labret or “Ashley” piercing and after searching online I came across the many positive reviews for Stan at TRX. The amount of experience he has made up my mind for me that he was who we needed to see so we came in and were taken back to be pierced almost immediately. It was a very clean and friendly environment. Stan was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining everything we needed to know and very carefully marked where our new jewelry would go and before I knew it we were done! I’m a big baby when it comes to pain but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be and it’s already on the way to healing with minimal swelling and no crusting or signs of any problems so I am beyond happy with my experience :) Stan’s the man!

I had such a great experience here! I am a middle-aged mainstream woman who wanted to get my nostril pierced. When I went into some other shops, I felt like I wasn't cool enough to be in their club. When I walked in, Tom was at the counter, and he answered all of my questions, and never treated me like my questions were dumb or that I was unimportant. He was kind and helpful. Stan actually pierced my nose, and he was knowledgeable, and had a lot of experience, and personable. I told him "I know this isn't a big deal, but it kind of is for me, and you made this experience great". The whole attitude of this shop is that anyone is welcome. I wanted to get my room pierced so I called at 6:30 on Tuesday. The women who fretted me was very informative and answered any questions that I had. She also said that they take their last appt back 30 minutes before close so in order to be pierced that day, I'd need to arrive a little before then. I drive up there and arrived at 7:15 ( It was about 35 minutes from my house) and when I walked in and informed the man at the counter what I was there for he told me "Actually, We already took our last appt back". I told him that the woman on the phone said if I arrived before 7:30 I would be pierced and he just shook his head and said " Yeah, well, we already took our last appt". This was both a wasted trip and a waste of gas! Plus the customer service from this employee was far from ideal! He was neither personable nor did he acknowledge what I'd been told on the phone earlier. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

I was here in 2016 when i got my first tattoo and i had a good experience but that changed about a couple months after i got my tattoo. Come to find out the person that did it had the needle to deep the entire 3 hours (which is why it hurt more the my new ones i have gotten) and now it is a giant scar on my back that is raised beyond belief and which continuously for the past 2 years keeps scabbing and bleeding and im still dealing with it. I will never go back to here and want to inform anyone who does about this place and what kind of work its done. (I also had more then one professional look at my tattoo saying how badly scarred it is and how badly it must of hurt saying that the reason for it is because the person had the needle entirely to deep throughout the whole tattoo)

This review is for Stan! Stan's "bedside manner" is amazing. He has such a chill, friendly, and engaging vibe. Before the piercing, his apprentice gave me a detailed explanation for aftercare along with a brochure. Then, Stan made sure he was piercing exactly where I wanted. Then, they visited me a little bit afterwards just to make sure I had no bad reactions. Great! Update: They still remain great~! My daughter and I got our cartilage pierced today at TRX by Stan. Wow! Talk about professional from the moment we entered the shop. After they checked our id's (my daughter is 13 they make sure children are old enough and that you are related) Stan welcomed us into his piercing station. He was kind and making us laugh, which relaxed us. Before the piercing he gave us directions on the care of our piercings over the next year. He was very thorough! We communicated and agreed on a time for me to come into the shop to share further details with her about my experience. Sarah was so welcoming to hearing my concerns and she also replaced ALL of my jewelry on the piercing, not just one of the pieces. I truly appreciate Sarah reaching out and her genuine concern about my experience! ORIGINAL REVIEW (2 stars): I've had two piercings done here, one about 4 years ago and another one a month ago. My experience 4 years ago was a 5-star experience. The shop was clean, the piercing process was sanitary and quick, and the piercer was super nice. The industrial piercing that I got one month ago and the conversations with the shop since has turned me off completely to this place. When I arrived for the industrial, the shop still looked the same and the cleanliness was still up to par. However, the piercer was not as friendly and she seemed annoyed that she had a customer. When she was explaining the care procedures to me, she sounded like she'd rather watch paint dry. The piercing experience itself was no different than the last - quick and clean. In the month since I've had this piercing, the top ball has unscrewed itself THREE TIMES and fallen out. After the second time, I emailed my piercer and her response was actually quite welcoming to come into the shop and she would take care of it easily and quickly. She explained what could be wrong and it sounded like it would take no longer than a quick 5 minute visit. I went to the shop on a Tuesday afternoon and I explained my situation and that I'd been emailing the piercer to the worker behind the counter. Her response was that there were 3 individuals in front of me waiting for "actual" piercings, so it would be between 45 minutes and a hour wait. I completely understand that there were 3 other customers in front of me, that's not the frustration here. The frustration arose when I asked if my piercer would be in the next day, they said yes, to which I asked if I could make an appointment so I don't waste another trip, and I was told in the rudest, snottiness tone, "We don't take reservations for piercings." Later that evening, I was cleaning my piercing, and the ball came unscrewed yet again (third time) and the bar even fell out of the hole. I tried like I had before to get it back in, and after five minutes of frustratingly failing, I called the shop. It was 7:05pm. The individual who answered the phone was extremely rude and inconsiderate for what I was dealing with. I again explained that I had been emailing back and forth with my piercer, and he was less than compliant with my situation. "If you want us to fix it, you have to come in when we are open. We close at 8." Luckily, after more fuss with the earring, I got it back in and the ball screwed on. Had I not though, I would have wasted money on a piercing and piece of jewelry because it would have closed up by the next afternoon when I could make it to the shop after work since I was rudely told they don't open until 11am. The entire tone of this situation has come off that this shop no longer cares about their customers and keeping them, rather, they are solely focused on the money.

If I could give negative stars I would. I am completely unsatisfied with the entire process of getting this tattoo. Let's start from the beginning. My best friend from Salt Lake City, Utah was coming in for the weekend and we wanted to get our signatures tattooed because we had been pen pals since middle school. I looked at a lot of different places and was hopeful when i found TRX. I looked at all the Google reviews and went through all the artists and their work and picked 2 people that I really liked. I then called to set up an appointment. I explained my friend and I's situation and the clerk on the phone said that only one of my artist had openings this weekend and so I booked Sunday at 11. When we showed up we met with Dustin, but the clerk had only put us down for a consultation and he didn't have time to do the tattoos. At this point I was a bit disappointed. Then they offered to have Jeff do the tattoos. I was glad but also a little scared because I hadn't seen any of his previous work. We showed him the signatures we wanted and he insisted they were too small (1inchx2inch). He enlarged a copy of it and asked if it was okay, and I told him it was a lot bigger than what I wanted. He insisted he couldn't go any smaller. At this point I asked if I could get a blackened brown instead of straight black (I have very fair skin and can't even wear black mascara). He then insisted I do black, saying he would not touch up or fix it if it wasn't black. My friend and I agreed because we were both really looking forward to these tattoos. I didn't get exactly what I wanted but at least it would be okay, right? Wrong. The lines are crooked and wobbly. You can see every stroke he used. Some of the lines aren't even connected! My friends tattoo turned out better than mine (I went second). I am extremely unsatisfied with the end result. It was definitely not worth $50. I am not going back to get it fixed. I already found another artist at a different shop who is helping me get what I want. 0/10 would not go again.

This review is for Stan I got my tongue pierced on December 7th and let me say my experience was wonderful I’ve had my tongue pierced before by another shop but it was way to close to my teeth so I took it out for months and recently had Stan pierce my tongue he did such a great job the way he has it placed in my mouth it’s nowhere near my teeth or gum line and it’s so comfortable and looks great can’t wait to go back so he can put me in a shorter bar thanks STAN????

I would love to give them 5 stars but every time I go I have a very similar experience: condescending front counter staff member. I’m pretty sure they don’t take appointments for piercings so you’d think the reception would be a bit less hostile/annoyed when you walk in, but in the multiple different times I’ve gone in, the guy at the front counter acts as if he’s the bouncer to an exclusive club and my name isn’t on the list. For example, when I wanted my medusa jewelry to be changed, the front counter employee dismissed my explanation that the jewelry simply fell out randomly (it did) and he said I must’ve tried to take it out or “messed with it” and when I told him how recently I’d gotten the piercing he laughed and said “well you’re in for some pain today” like, do you have to say that aloud? Obviously I’m nervous enough as it is! I also went in to have my nostril jewelry changed because the stud was too long and looked ugly once the swelling went down. I asked for the same jewelry as my septum (since I’d gotten that done there, I figured it was no big deal) and the front counter guy basically acted as if he had no idea what I was talking about...I’m like, it’s a basic gold hoop, I want my nostril to have the same looking gold hoop as my septum...he just acted like it was the most absurd thing he’d ever heard. I’m not sure if it’s me not explaining myself/what I want properly or if he’s perpetually having a bad day. Once you get past the gatekeeper, the piercers are always pleasant, polite, and helpful. It’s just a little weird to have a similarly condescending encounter every time I’ve returned.

It’s well kept up but their workers are under a different contract and pierced my piercing crooked and ‘twas infected all within the first two weeks and they refuse a refund. My mom and I have been looking for a place to get nostril piercings done for a long time. We researched many places and people and decided to go here and get our piercings done by Stan. The overall place us very clean and organized and every staff member was very kind and professional. The staff are very knowledgeable and it was very easy to find a piercing to suit me. The piercings are very clean and smooth. I was very surprised by how fast everything was completed. Stan was definitely perfect for us because he talks and made us feel at home and at ease. I very much recommend this to all and I will definitely be going back there for any other piercing or tattoo needs.

I went here and at first was super excited. The vibe is cool, the atmosphere is nice, the workers were super friendly. I set up a basic consultation and talked with an artist about what I wanted. Then, I paid my down payment and scheduled the appointment. That day arrives, and my artist just... wasn't there? For whatever reason? So they had me go with another artist, which I thought was fine. He did ok, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted either. He gave me contact info to keep in touch during the healing process. I had texted a few times saying that I thought my tattoo looked infected, and he said it was fine. Skip forward a week, and there's pus oozing out of it--yup, it was infected. I took care of the infection on my own from resources from other tattooed individuals. Now there's a big splotch of color missing in the tattoo. And now, on August 31, almost a year after I got the tattoo, it's infected again in a different spot. Maybe I just had a weird experience, but my experience definitely wasn't as great as everyone else who's reviewed this place was. I'd picked here since it was one of the highest rated in the area, but I regret that choice now.

I was just at TRX about a month ago getting my first dermal piercing done. Stan did my dermal that day and did an amazing job. I never knew it was coming and never even felt it. I was a walk in so I did have to wait about 40 mins but it was friendly, clean and comfortable. Stan also explained the whole process so there were no surprises. I will always return back to TRX for any ink or piercings in the future. Go check them out, you won't regret it.!!

This place is great. Logan does fantastic work. He is quick, understands what you need, and explains the process if you have any questions. I went there for my first tattoos and will definitely go again for more. They do piercings,tattoos and multiple services. A lot of artists there do free touch ups for life, but definitely confirm with the artist. The price was not very expensive either. Overall a great shop.

We went a few minutes down the road to Self Inflicted Tattoo and had an excellent experience. AND we were all able to get in and get our work done that day.. Skip this place.

My friend had a great experience here! Everyone was really accommodating, nice, fast, and thorough. My friend came in with an idea for 2 hand tattoos and the tattoo artist whipped up a sketch that was exactly what he wanted! The process was so fast and we were provided with so much education on how to make the tattoos last and prevent issues. The prices were very reasonable and the tattoo artist sat and discussed other pieces with us. He really took the time to make us feel special and valued.

I had an extremely positive experience at TRX. At the bequest of my obstetrician I had to have 8 dermals removed before delivery. They had been in place for over 10 years and while Mr. Moy explained that was a lengthy time that would impede the ease of removal, he nonetheless did an amazing job at removing them with as little pain as possible. I was overly impressed with his bedside manner; working diligently to keep a very pregnant woman comfortable and relaxed, offering to take breaks and resume at my willingness; distracting me with interesting educational interludes about his work and my interests; and doing a thorough explanation of how he would execute the task. I was greatly impressed with the Covid precautions and cleanliness of the facility. They were prompt in sticking to my scheduled appointment and courteous at my arrival. After having undergone a difficult and strenuous experience, he was kind enough to take the time to ensure I was safe for travel and even purchased a gelato for me next door. I appreciate the recommendation of their services and will certainly my be returning when I need my dermals reinserted after my next and final delivery. Thank you Mr. Moy for a great experience!

Came here to get my nose pierced. Place is very clean and the staff is professional. Stan was my piercer and he made me feel very comfortable during the process. Sterile technique used. Downside is the price is very expensive for a simple nose piercing and the type of jewelry used was difficult to remove. I had to break the jewelry when it came time to change it or be charged $10 to have it changed professionally. For the same job you can go somewhere cheaper.

Super grateful, I had a nostril piercing done at another shop and it was irritated and uncomfortable and had developed an irritation bump after 2 months. I came here to get it checked out and they recommended I switch the jewelry from stainless steel to implant grade titanium, and also change the post from a screw to a bone. The people at the front desk and the piercer who switched it out for me were all so nice and made me feel comfortable. I was able to walk in with no appointment. Price was reasonable, less than I expected. The bump went down significantly just days later and after 3 weeks, the bump was completely gone.

I got a piercing there the other day. The piercing came out looking great but there was a serious breach of piercing etiquette. A piercer should always show you the needle being opened to prove that it is, A: a new needle, and B: properly sterilized. This did not happen! I am sure that it was a clean needle but I can't help but feel a bit off about the experience because of it.

Came to TRXA today or my 3rd tattoo after reading positive reviews and it was the best experience Ive had yet. Seth greeted me and he was really well informed about the tattoo process and aftercare. He was really patient and welcoming and also gave me solid info about nose piercings. Dustin actually did my tattoo and he was as sweet as can be. Extremely well informed about the tattooing process, different inks etc. He really calmed my nerves about my tattoo and didn't show any signs of being annoyed even though my tattoo was really simple and I asked a lot of questions (And I mean a lot!).They really am to please. I came to my appointment wanting to get my helix pierced. I picked out an earring and mentioned I wanted my mid helix pierced to the receptionist. Paid $70 and was seated. The piercer came down and asked what kind and where I wanted my piercing and I told him I wanted my mid helix pierced. When I got to his room, he never mentioned he couldn’t do what I wanted. I’m not sure why this was not clarified before I got to the room by him or the receptionist that he didn’t do mid helix piercings... If mentioned before I got to my appointment, I could’ve gone someplace else. Since I was already in the room, I ended doing a piercing I didn’t want and paid a lot of money for.

So i’ve been here for 2 piercings & had zero issue with service or pricing. Now for tattoos? I don’t think i’d come back. I got one 9 word tattoo on my bicep area & i was charged 250. only reason i went through with it was because it was my first tattoo & thought maybe that price was reasonable. the person that tattooed me told the person i was with that they could tattoo something as big as the palm of their hand on his calf for the SAME PRICE. 250-300 is what was said to be exact. i didn’t think i was over charged til someone with plenty of experience in tattoos told me i was. not to mention the tattoo artist said he charged 150 an hour for something that might not get finished in one day. but i was charged 250 for something that literally took maybe 30 minutes ?

Pierced my septum noticeably crooked, nothing about it was straight: it was, in fact, kitty corner across. It was crooked as soon as she pierced it, and I pointed that out at the time. She told me it was swelling and to give it time to heal. One month later, it is still as crooked as it was before. I called up and they tried to tell me it was probably still swelling. Waited another month. STILL crooked. I called again, and I was told (with an attitude) that it wasn't fully healed and I didn't understand that. I decide to personally go into a different piercer and ask: is this crooked? He said it was, in fact, very crooked and recommended I go back to them and get it repierced. So, I went back. Not exactly a plot twist, they danced around telling me it wasn't straight, blaming my face and my nose for why it could appear crooked. Never actually admitting it wasn't the proper placement, the guy there finally told me he could repierce me if I was so "picky." I was not comfortable with him, nor how unprofessional they were so I requested my money back. That was met with a: NO. The manager wasn't there at the time, so arguing was pointless. I called the manager the next day and let her know there was zero chance I was going to be coming back for a repiercing and I just wanted my money back. She was much more professional and gave me my money back... but only for the cost of the piercing. They kept the price of jewelry and tip. One year later, my old piercing has rehealed and I have a straight septum piercing that I received at a more professional and respectable business.

As a tattoo first-timer, I could not have had a more pleasant experience. When I arrived at the shop to check it out, all of the employees were extremely friendly and beyond helpful, answering any questions that I had without judgement. When I was inquiring about a tattoo design, artist Jamie Toon went out of his way to offer insight regarding design improvements, and the vision that he had for the tattoo. Not only was he helpful, but he graciously accommodated my schedule and offered to get me in the following evening to complete the tattoo. Knowing that it was my first time, he made me feel extremely comfortable, answered all of my questions thoroughly, was personable and talked with me during the entire 3-hour session, and absolutely killed the tattoo. I am beyond pleased, and could not recommend this shop or artist Jamie Toon enough.

The piercings… amazing. The service………. I dealt with so many micro aggressions. My sister and I had an appointment and the front counter woman with blonde/red short bangs waited on me, she was so soft spoken and it was hard of hearing, even with the masks on, but when she waited on others she was louder and vocal, even greeted the other non people of color better. Then, the guy with long blonde hair did my piercings had an attitude because I’ve came an HOUR before closing to get two piercings. Even though I made an APPOINTMENT 5 hours before. He talked to me in a demeaning manner, not nice at all. He also yelled at me because the woman who waited on me wrote something wrong on the paper… never should yell at guest for a simple mistake. My whole experience was uncomfortable. Didn’t even get jewels added because the front lady did not explain anything to a first timer. I wanna give this place another shot, but the low key micro aggressions really threw me off. I still tipped the person, I hope everyone was just having a bad day lol.

Absolutely the place that you need to go for piercings. I just had my navel done by Stan and he was beyond 5 stars! He was professional, funny (as I was nervous), and very knowledgeable about all things piercing. Ash greeted me when I walked in and took me through the process of picking out a ring and explaining everything that was going to happen. Her welcoming attitude made me feel that I was in the right place. When Stan called me back (after a 2 hour wait...he's worth it!!!) he measured the placement of the ring, walked me through aftercare, measured again to double check, and then walked me through the piercing. When he was done. He checked on me to see how I was feeling. He didn't rush me out the door for his next client. He cared about how I felt and what my pain level was. He is everything that you want in a piercer. I found him through a friends recommendation and now, I am telling you as well. Stan. Is. Your. Man. 100%!

Got ear pierced for the first time!! I love Stan!! He did an awesome job!! If you are wondering how much does it hurt and how long is the process. The pain: from a scale 1 to 10, it's a 5-6. Timing: Cleaning plus ear piercing is about 10 mins maximum. How much you will spend on piercings is about 60-100+ depends on what kind ear ring you pick out from the selection. 25 for ear piercings, CANT BRING EAR RINGS TO THE STORE. THEY WILL NOT USE ANY EAR RINGS FROM OTHER PALCES, EXCEPT THEIR OWN. Reason is they don't know how clean and secure is the ear ring from other places. It might be their policy. How clean is their environment: excellent! Tools for piercings are very simple, they do not use their tools multiple times, only one time, then disposed. Pro.

I've never rated anything before, but this shop pissed me off! Made two separate appointments to meet w/ an artist about a tattoo, and had to pay a $50 deposit w/ the first guy before I could see any of his workup. He informed me he was colorblind and does better w/ gray scale tattoos. Fortunately, I didn't want color, so that was fine. Made an appointment for the tattoo about one month out. 5 days go by from the initial meet and I get a call saying dude is pursuing other careers and I should make another appointment with a different artist about the idea. Whatever. Things happen. Told them to keep my deposit and put it towards another artist that agreed could do it. Make an appointment with the second guy schedule it 5 days later. Go to my second appointment, sit around for 40 minutes waiting for the guy to show. Staff tells me he is not picking up his phone or answering texts, and asks if I can reschedule or pick ANOTHER artist. NO. Give me my money back. Not sure what's up with the place. Is management to slack and the artists do their own thing, or are the employees disgruntled and just start at TRX and go to more prospective shops? Guys at the front desk are nice and cordial so that is the only reason I gave the shop any stars (1). I'll happily take my money elsewhere.

Great experience all around. Went in for a walk-in and got set up with Phil. Super friendly, listened to exactly what I wanted. It was quick & painless, I wasn’t ready for the session to end! Once finished, Phil explained proper aftercare procedures and answered any questions. If you’re thinking of getting a tattoo, TRX is the place and PHIL is your guy!!

Went in to purchase a new nose ring. Showed the receptionist the ring I wanted she told me it was $55.00. Once I asked if they could put it in, the price went up to $83. Didn’t explain that the base was an additional $16.00 didn’t go over any pricing with me other than the diamond I chose. Unprofessional.

DO NOT GO HERE! I went in on Monday for an emergency. I had my nostril pierced the previous Wednesday at a different place and my gem fell out so I needed a replacement before the hole closed. My original piercing place was closed, so a friend recommended TRX. Bad decision. Not only were the front staff rude and condescending, I was snapped at by the male worker after he asked to see my piercing and I slightly lowered my mask to show him he says, "Put your mask up! It's a requirement!" Dont ask to see my nose then, sir!!! After over an hour wait, I finally saw the woman piercer and she said she would insert a different size nose ring that would not come out. Ok I thought, great! By the end of the day my nose was clearly red and infected. Overnight my skin had grown over the gem in the new nose ring because the size she chose was way too small! Luckily my original piercing place was open and I was able to go in and have her fix this. She was shocked! My nose was infected and this tiny nose ring was embedded to the point she had to cut my skin and almost had to use metal snips to cut the gem off to remove it because it was so tight!!! She told me I needed a 10mm. TRX used a 3mm!!!! See picture. The long post is my original that the gem fell out of and the small one is what TRX used. I wish I could get my $40 back from these idiots but I paid cash and have no receipt. DO NOT GO HERE. GO LITERALLY ANYPLACE ELSE.

EDIT: They responded on here, but they blocked me so I could not contact them. Therefore they have not fully tried to fix this issue, they have made it worse. DO NOT SHOP HERE. This place is a SCAM for plugs and tunnels. The staff at the plug and tunnel counter were extremely rude to me both times I went. The first time I went, I was just looking and the tone the white bald male with the blue septum ring acted like I was unworthy of their merchandise when stretching your ears is BLACK culture in the first place. I hate to pull the race card, but even the other bad reviews on here are from black people.. I found my self constantly redirecting him to my question about the merchandise, but he was more interested in trying to convience me he knew everything about my ear stretching process. He didn't want me looking at any nice plugs. He pointed me to the cheapest plugs over and over again. When I asked to see items to buy for a friend because acted like he didn't want to show me and treated me like a fool for wanting to see other sizes. They laughed at my questions and overly explained things I didn't even ask about. If they don't think you know anything they WILL scam you. They gave me a fake pair of too small stone plugs. I asked for a 20mm and these are clearly 18mm. The book price was 60$ "tax" made it 65$. I gave them 80$ because all I had was 20$ and the man gave me 3 dollars in change back. He also didn't give me a receipt. I will never go back to this place, and I advice you if you are reading this, TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE. It's WAY better to order plugs and tunnels online. Both times I came out of their store in TEARS from how rude they were to me. Being rude is one thing, but SCAMMING, is where I must let other consumers know.

Nipple Piercing by Stan I got my nipples pierced by Stan over the labor day weekend. The counter staff were friendly and approachable and the wait was reasonable (especially for a holiday weekend). Stan is currently the only piercer on staff [with a new one coming soon!] and there was 1 other person ahead of me. Stan was friendly and professional the entire time and made me feel comfortable, even though he knew that I was nervous. The piercings went quickly and smoothly. They hurt for about 1 minute during the actual piercing but the pain quickly subsided into more of a burning sensation. He gave me great after-care instructions and I was in-and-out in less than 1 hour. The piercings themselves hurt for about 3 hours afterward (with the aforementioned burning sensation). After that time, they really haven't hurt at all...and I'm a sucker for pain. All the piercings I've had before (including my helix, navel and nose) have hurt for quite a white afterward so I was expecting the same, if not worse, given the sensitive location. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. I am tempted to think it is related to his great technique and his decades of experience. I definitely would go back and wouldn't hesitate to refer a friend!
