This is one of the best tattoo shops I've ever gone to. The decor is beautiful. The vibe of the shop is so inviting, warm, open and filled with so much light. Hell, even the bathroom is nice! You walk in and you know the beautiful humans there are going to take care of you. I love the inclusivity. I love seeing people who look like me have their own safe space. It's amazing, especially in the tattoo industry. And while I haven't gotten tattooed there yet, when the time comes, trust me. Tru Tattoo Studio will be my designated spot to get some lovely ink! ????

Ive been tattooed at this shop 3 times now and i always have a good experience. The vibe is good, the artists are talented and the space looks cool! Highly recommend for other BIPOC & Queer folk looking for a safe, non-judgemental space to get tattooed. Definitely a better experience than other shops ive gone to get tattooed

I haven't been to a tattoo studio with a vibe like this before. This shop is so proudly run by BIPOC women and queers, and you can feel it as soon as you you step through the door. The atmosphere is chill and welcoming, elegant yet grounded. You'll feel taken care of when you get your tattoos done here. I had a tattoo from a guest artist that was visiting and I've had some work done by one of the resident artists (Sam) and both were great experiences; like it was just as important to them as it was to me. ALSO they have artists who are skilled in colour tattoos on brown skin! I will definitely be back!

Vegas is an incredible artist. She captured my vision in ways greater than I imagined. Not only did she do a fantastic job with my tattoo but she did a magnificent job at making me feel comfortable and at ease with getting my tattoo, as this was my first. Without a doubt someone/place I would recommend. Really clean and vibrant environment as well.

Hands downnnnn TRU is my favourite tattoo shop - the artists are all super talented, kind, and make you feel safe! I remember coming here for my first time and I was taken aback by the decor and how grounded I felt in the space. I booked with Jess, who if you’ve met is just an overall wonderful human. Walking in I was already welcomed with a friendly demeanour. Comfortable and cozy place for all LGBTQIA+. Clean and professional while tattooing, but not afraid to have fun which added comfort to the experience! Never felt rushed or judged and will be coming back! Vegas is an amazing person who has skills that speak volumes.
