Ever since I got my knuckles tattooed, I've been so embarrassed to show my hands, get my nails done ect. It's been awful having to live with them on my hands. I'm so grateful to Loni Dilaj for turning something I dreaded having on my hands to something I'm proud to show off. She is so talented and really took her time to make sure they were exactly what I wanted. You're truly an amazing artist, and look forward to getting more stuff done by you! I will post more pictures once they've healed but I'm in love.

Loni was great! Got an appointment for a fairly large piece, less than a month lead time. She was running a bit late but so was I, so the tattoo os only about half done, but I was very impressed with the results. She's very friendly and accommodating as well as I decided to change what I wanted last minute and she completely understood. I definitely recommend, she's the best in Cornwall and could certainly do well in a bigger market.if she wanted to.

Ignore the last review. The shop wasn’t able to do anything as Ontario was on lock down due to Covid-19 and the shop wasn’t able to legally operate. When I got a tattoo here, everyone I met with was extremely professional and well prepared. I was a walk in appointment and I was treated with respect and they answered all the questions I had. Even when I asked for input on the design, the girl sitting at the front desk provided me with what I thought was an excellent opinion. Loni did my tattoo and she was friendly, welcoming and I was able to converse with her with ease. She did a great job and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and get more work done.

And when someone asks who did your tattoo you just have to say her first name (like Cher or Kanye). Then both of you will discuss her work and her talent and how amazing she is for a few minutes. They got back to me really quickly after I emailed them for a piercing appointment. They asked if I was available later that afternoon and when I went in I only had to wait a few minutes. The staff was very approachable and made my first piercing a total breeze, walked me through the whole thing.

I was in on November 6 and had my right lobe pierced and when I got home I noticed something poking me and I ended up finding the needle and cork that was used to pierce me (which I kept for proof). The piercer/owner (Virginia) must have dropped them on me and did not pick them up or dispose of them properly. When I called to explain the situation, all she could say was sorry, it was an accident. Totally unprofessional. I have contacted the health unit about this. Just a word of warning for anyone thinking of getting anything done at The Skin Within.

Got a tattoo done a few days ago and it is absolutely amazing. Nat did an amazing job! Virginia and Nat were very friendly and joked around, made me and my friend feel welcome. Although we did wait a while (my own fault, there was someone ahead of me and I chose to wait at the shop) we were given $10 off the initial price. Prices are great too.

I had my tongue pierced TWICE by Skin Within. The first time I went and waited about 2 weeks for the piercer to get back to work do to 'personal reasons'. When I finally had it pierced the whole time I was in the room she criticized my nose ring which was done by a piercer whom I have trusted and respected for many many years. She is my go to except she refuses to pierce tongues. She than trashed my piercers buissness. Very unprofessional. The initial piercing wasn't bad. Although I had requested it to be in a different spot. I assumed she knew what she was doing and happily left. The bar was not cut long enough and the swelling had exceeded the length of the bar causing a deep painful crater in my tongue. I called the shop and the very rude unhelpful secretary answered. She told me that there's nothing the shop can do but sell me a longer bar that I would have to change myself! I ended up taking it out. I went for a second time expecting different results. She cut the bar longer this time but since it was not properly placed if cut my tongue when I closed my tongue for long periods of time. Again I took if out and vowed never again. Not there. Not anywhere. Also, my boyfriend was tattooed there, and he didn't have the greatest experience. He requested to stars. One on each wrist. When they were done one star wasn't completely coloured and the other one wasn't the same shape!!! They're both wonky and do not match the slightest. They touched up the colour, but he is stuck with two mishaped tattoos. Do not recommend!!

I got a tattoo done there with my son's name in it and a beautiful tree. The artist really listened to what I wanted. My girlfriend got her belly button pierced by Virginia at the same time and she is very happy with it. She took the time to explain how to take care of it and it healed great. We will be going back for sure.

This shop looks very organized and clean.The people are professional and business friendly .I never got a tattoo before but if I did this would def be the place I would choose .Great lookin shop in the heart of Cornwall and what I can here from this place the artists are rad.Art is a very complex thing so when you have people in the community that can offer a valued service ,plus creating the vision of the customer from vision to ink ,well I think I’ve said enough lolo. Super down-to-earth, professional staff. The establishment is clean and well kept. The women who work here are honest, respectful, talented, and clear up front - both verbally and with signage- that delays occur, tattoos may take longer than expected, and, with that, the resultant experience is an amazing one. I don't think I would be confident in an artist who would rush a piece simply to meet the next appointment slot on time. My artist worked well past closing hours to finish my first leg piece and the price was beyond reasonable regardless. And, it is beautiful. For years I have gone to Ottawa for both tattoos and piercings, but not anymore. I lucked out finding this locale and I am appreciative of both tattoos I have got there as well as a piercing. I look forward to squeezing in the time to get my next tattoo and to again relax in this environment. Thanks, girls. I think you're awesome. ????

After my sister passed away from Hodgkins my mom and i wanted to get matching tattoos to remember her by. The girls at the shop took great care of us. My mom was nervous because it was her first time and one of the artists also speaks French there so it made her more comfortable. Our tattoos are very pretty and exactly what we wanted to remember my sister.

Absolutely love this shop, I've gotten both pieced and tattooed here. The staff are so nice, very accommodating, as well as knowledgeable. You can tell when you ask them questions that they know what they're talking about, and will give you honest answers rather than what they think you want to hear. I recommend them to anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing.

I did not have a pleasant experience at all booking for my tattoo, I went in and booked for a tattoo. Paid 20 to hold my spot. Went in for my appointment which they had moved to 2 hours after my original appointment. Then showed up 2 hours later to the people agrueing and yelling at each other in front of their clients. Nice I'll have her agree while she is doing my tattoo.....then waited an additional hour and half. So I had to rebook my appointment again because I didn't have the time to be there all night. Showed up again to have her tell me she couldn't do the tattoo I wanted in the 2hour time slot. I paid for her to hold a spot for me too get a tattoo that I didn't even get because by this point I was overwhelm with the time I put into going to her shop to get work done. That she didn't even give me. Was not professional, I never had such a hard time in trying to get a tattoo. NEVER again would I go back there. I was more pissed that I wasted 20 for her to keep pushing my spot around and not having the desantcy to reimburse. It's not like I didn't go I showed up every time. And I wasted my time which I don't get much of since I am a mom, full time student and work full time. Thank you skin within for wasting my time n money. Wasn't going to waste more of my money after being treated like that.

Loni is the most skilled tattoo artist in town! The time for scheduling a session was flexible; however, the wait is ridiculously long! Unfortunately, that is, in part, due to the pandemic and Loni's reputation for near perfection! I can't necessarily hold it against the tattoo parlor, but I will dock them a star for it!

I have considered writing this review for a while, and decided to finally do so. I went to skin within to get my tragus pierced because my usual shop does not pierce the tragus. When I arrived, the receptionist was very kind and helpful. However, when I went into the room with the piercer, I had a very bad experience. She criticized my regular trusted piercing shop who have performed 4 other amazing piercings on me. When she pierced my tragus, and took the needle out, the whole ring came out with it. She started laughing about it and saying that that has never happened to her in her however many years of experience. She tried to shove it back in, but when I told her it was hurting she had to pierce it again. She was just making jokes and saying that it would 10x more than the first time when I was asking questions. She was not professional at all. The girl I was with needed to get her jewelry snapped back in for one of her piercings, so while I was laying down on the table trying not to pass out when I stood up (because that has come very close to happening before) she let the girl basically kick me off the table and force me to get up quicker than I was conformable doing. I was not given an apology for what happened nor did she really seem to care about me. She cared more about the person I was with who is a regular client of hers. I also want to point out that I tried to call and go into the store for 2-3 days before I finally got to book an appointment. Needless to say I will not be returning to Skin Within for another piercing
