I had a tattoo done here as a memorial for my mother and it was so beautiful. Sam really listed to what I wanted and is amazingly talented. Fast forward over a year later and I came in with my best friend to get matching tattoos and specifically requested Sam because she is awesome. Both tattoos were watercolor style and just beautiful. During my session, other artists came in and chatted, and I felt so comfortable and welcome the entire time. Wonderful shop and great experience! Everyone here is so polite and helpful. I love that they are not your typical tattoo shop with the same ole generic tattoo pictures hanging on the walls for you to choose from. I came in here after going to one of those tattoo shops with a bunch of tattoo books and pictures on the wall. When I approached one of the workers and described my vision for what I wanted done his response was " You can pick something you like off of the wall over there". That was a big no for me. I saw shop 53 online and I figured I would check it out. I immediately loved the vibe. I was able to look at the artists portfolios and decide which artist I wanted to talk with about the work I wanted done. I ended up choosing Mona and I have had two sessions with her so far. She has done a wonderful job and I cannot wait until my tattoo is complete.

Being that this was my first tattoo, I did plenty of research and took my time before booking with Shop 53. I found Natalie's instagram page and knew her artwork style meshed with the tattoo I was looking for. Within two weeks, Natalie had me scheduled for consult and actual tattoo appointment in the same day. Again, this was my first tattoo and I was pretty nervous about the whole process. From start to finish both Natalie and Shannon were the most amazing and professional artists/ business owners I have ever worked with. They made me so comfortable and made sure I was one hundred percent satisfied. I am so grateful that my first tattoo experience was with them and I know I will go back to them for more tattoos in the future.

It took multiple sessions and the pricing isn't cheap but the quality of work and the comfort I felt at the shop was definitely worth the money. Soooooooo let me just start from the drive up... we approached Shop 53 custom tattoo and were pleasantly surprised from the curb appeal . It was definitely not your typical tattoo shop. Upon walking in there was a notice that no one under 16 was allowed but the owner was very welcoming to our 4 year old son. I was greeted by my tattoo artist promptly. She was aware of my arrival and had paperwork ready I was coming for an autism awareness tattoo . She free handed my tattoo rather quickly. I was extremely pleased with her work. She held great conversation and spoke with my wife and I as she was completing my tattoo. Creating a calm and enjoyable atmosphere to wear time was irrelevant and the tattoo seemed to come out very quickly and smoothly. I would like to reiterate that it was very family friendly and an extremely clean environment. The décor seemed to be placed together by a professional interior decorator, Which was very appreciated. The music in the background was never too loud Which allowed for comfortable conversation between the artist and the guest .

I got an addition to my lower sleeve right arm. Natalie was amazing. Her work creativity and ability to bring the drawing to life was amazing. Also she punched in the colors without digging in my arm. No blowouts, amazing line work. I'm already planning to get something else from her. The second I walked in the door for a consult with Lauren, I was instantly hooked. The vibe is on point, clean and super chill atmosphere, everyone was so welcoming and kind. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. The work Lauren did on my forearm was better than I could have ever imagined, a very sentimental piece that literally brought me to tears when I finally looked at the finished product.
