After my 3rd tattoo done at Seven Crowns, I feel compelled to say how great this shop is. Savannah has done such an amazing job that I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for my future tats (she's actually currently working on my next custom piece). Not only her work is impeccable, she is also very smart and a delight to chat with (not the "hey it's nice out today" awkward kind of conversation) which, let's face it, helps with the pain during the 4 and 5 hour sessions I went through. I do not know the other artists, however, a couple of friends got inked by George and Emma and their work look just as good. Another thing that I liked is that for a consultation, the artists actually take you to their station for a one on one chat and LISTEN to you. I have been to 3 other shops in the city where they meet you over at the front desk with other customers coming and going, the receptionist taking phone calls and whatnot as you try to explain what you are looking for to an artist who barely listens. Not a great custom feeling, in my opinion. As for the shop itself, it is spotless, they do a great job at keeping it clean.

Fantastic experience! A friend of mine and I decided on very short notice that we needed new ink. We called ahead and surprisingly enough they had room for short walk-ins. The receptionist (Sarah I think?) and the artists (Robyn and Mike) were courteous, kind, and made the entire experience enjoyable. We were in and out pretty quickly but given how fantastic everything went, I think I found a new shop for my next few pieces. Thanks guys!

I had tattoos from here now that I can't even come back and I'll never will. Ya it's clean and nice but it's the attitude and disrespectful words towards other customers that wanted to get tattooed there. I highly recommend that don't get tattooed here

Nothing but praise for this shop and the artist I got (picked). The staff is welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. Got a half-sleeve with shoulder blade cover up. So a rather large piece (size being relative). SevenCrowns, and Matt, were referred to me by someone that had work done a decade previous. The art impressed me, so I looked them up. Didn't take long for my first consult with Mr. Ellis about the look I was going for. I had few ideas, just a vague-ish concept which Matt promptly shot down by saying "No". He wanted me to put more thought into it, as giving him 100% artistic freedom would essentially be "his tattoo" not mine (paraphrasing here). He was honest & blunt. Good thing too. Went back home, did my research then emailed him details with reference pictures. Couple weeks (month maybe?) past and I was called in for an art check. Mr. Ellis did not disappoint. The outline was beautiful, the cover-up part of the piece was going to work. His vision of colours/shading/light was detailed. This was going to be my tattoo, this is what I was looking for so many years. At this point I was on the waiting list for my first session. The piece took quite a bit of time. Four or five 3-to-4 hour sessions spread across several months. Honestly I didn't count, seeing the piece progress was the important thing. Over those sessions, Matt kept the conversation going. Being of the same age/generation many of our interests lined up which made for some fun talk. Oh there were quiet moments as I was in serious pain at times, but tattoos are earned. The wonderful (and might as say attractive) receptionist whom I forget her name, was a joy to interact with. Kind and courteous, made me feel welcomed. Can't ask for more really (dinner date maybe?). My various interactions with the rest of the employees were equally enjoyable. No complaints what so ever. The piece was finished last Thursday (June 22nd 2017). Just amazing. If you want biomech, Matt Ellis is the person to see (although I'm sure others in the parlour can do this as well). He obviously enjoys his work and creating. The way he talks about tattoos, art and colours is like listening to a kid talk about his favourite toy. This love and enthusiasm for the art form got translated into my piece. Pros: *Cash only -if you want it you'll save up & not use credit- *Nice\comfortable environment *Restrooms available *Smoking area outside *Fun & friendly service (each time I would book an appointment I'd ask for a portrait of a Golden Girl) Cons: No cons, it's a real tattoo parlour

I just finished a medium sized piece with Savannah over 3 sessions. Her work is beautiful, she is very kind, and she incorporated all of my ideas into the tattoo with her personal artistic flair. I am very happy with my tattoo and will definitely be coming back to Seven Crowns in the future. Savannah made me feel comfortable and I enjoyed our conversations as well as the calming music she played. All of the front desk staff are polite and provide professional and clear communication. The appointment reminders are a helpful gesture as well. The facility is tidy and all of the tattooing is performed in a hygienic and safe manner. I did not meet the owners formally but it is clear that they are passionate and dedicated to running the shop as smoothly as possible. I recommend Seven Crowns to anyone who wants excellent work and quality custom tattooing consultations. If you are new to tattooing and nervous or hesitant, this is a great place to go to, you will definitely be in the right hands!

I've gone to Seven Crowns twice now and had two very different experiences. My first time was a with a friend and she had a difficult time deciding on the placement of her tattoo. While she was making her decision the gentleman that was working with us did my tattoo. Mine was just a small and simple piece on my wrist, while my friend's required a bit more attention. The artist we worked with was patient, friendly and very helpful. The second time I went was a totally different experience. I returned because of the great experience during my first visit, but this time I had to go with a different artist. This time, from the moment I walked in I was greeted by a rude and condescending receptionist. Then met with Sinead who seemed really nice, but really wasn't into the tattoo idea I wanted. I didn't even see her sketch out anything I was asking for. When I went in to see the artist and get the tattoo again, the design was all wrong. It was nothing like what I asked for or wanted. When I showed her my inspiration pictures again her response was "I hate doing other people's designs". Well... It went downhill from there. Not wanting to lose out on my $100 deposit (which she suggested I should do) I sat with her for over an hour just trying to get something remotely similar to the design that I had shown her now multiple times. We ended up working it out, but I'm still not 100% in love with the piece and it always reminds me of how rude the two girls were. Not only that, but she called my previous tattoos ridiculous and made fun of them. I'm a very outgoing person and enjoy meeting new people. I felt very judged for not having the typical "alternative" look of the employees in the shop. I will not be going back and have warned all my friends against Seven Crowns.

The ambiance the artistry the technically mastery and the absolute friendliness cleanliness and professionalism make this cozy shop an absolute Paradise. Walking up the stairs and into it is like falling through the rabbit hole. Its mystical, like its own little world reached through a secret stairwell. I have only had the opportunity to speak with other artists but my artist Savannah Parent is an absolute master tattoo artist. Not only is she absolutely adept at colour and collaboration, she is interesting, intelligent, patient and an absolute goddess. Her artwork absolutely blows my mind and as an essentially first time tattoo seeker getting tattooed in a very sensitive region, she is very gentle an understanding of pain. I highly recommend this studio for anyone seeking a high quality tattoo that you wish to cherish for a lifetime. Come one, come all. You will never regret it. I went to Seven Crowns on the recommendation of a good friend. I signed up for a free consultation with artist Robyn Lee for my first ever tattoo. I brought a photograph and a few pictures of similar tattoos and told her I was looking for a tattoo with aspects from each of the pictures I brought. A week later she showed me her design, which is exactly what I was hoping for. She was quick, effective, and comforting. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking to get their first or 100th tattoo done.

Full disclosure that I have only been in contact with the reception staff, not the artists. I have contacted them on two separate occasions, about 2 years apart, and whoever answered the phone could not be bothered to keep the condescension out of her voice. Both times I inquired about how soon an appointment was available, and her attitude was that I was a complete idiot for expecting anything in the near future. If this place is busy, that's cool and a good sign. But I believe it's the privilege of the studio to be trusted with something that will last forever, not that the client should be grateful they even answered the phone.

I am quite satisfied with the result, given that my tattoo was a geometric shape with complicated detail and small lines/dashes. I consulted with 3 other artists at different places that they said they can't do it the size I was looking for, but Mike did it exactly the way I wanted. He is very talented and I strongly recommend the place.

Awesome shop. Great staff and amazing people. In my opinion it's one of the greatest shops in Toronto, the artist each throw in their own style. I know the artist are always keeping active with art, even off the clock with paintings and such. It really is an incredible thing to see especially knowing how important it is to find a great artist on and off skin. Anyways , I walked into seven crown with 5 existing tattoos on my right arm and wanted a full sleeve to cover all of it. I've been getting tattooed for years and I'm covered with them. I got fed a bunch of b.s from every other shop that I walked into. Hearing things like "it's impossible to cover, go get it lazered off and come back when it's 75% gone.." "we should just add around it and fill in background" didn't really cut it for me. I knew they were just incapable, or just didn't want to put in the effort? .. So I called George brown, and it was well worth it. I set up a consultation within a couple of days and off he went with what we wanted to do. A wait list does exist for a bigger piece like a sleeve and cover ups but once the drawing is complete, you can set up appointments 2 weeks from each other if you really wanted to bang it out quick. Very comfortable with working with your schedule, and with whatever worked for me. All five covered! Or was it 6? George drew out an awesome krackin , fighting through a ship, even went as detailed as throwing in a whirl wind of mini hammer head sharks with an electric eel ending on my hand. Incredible work, all custom art. I know I'll be walking around with something that no one else will have.

This tattoo is now four years old, and I still get complimented on how bright and fresh it looks. Sinead did a matching Deathly Hallows tattoos for me and my best friend. Both artists were very personable, and I'm happy with both of my tattoos. The shop is also very clean.
