I have gotten 2 tattoos and 1 piercing. And my experience was fantastic each time. I was able to walk in and book an appointment that day or the next. Super friendly staff and very professional. Everyone I have had pays attention to what they are doing and they always make sure to double check with you that the placement and design is exactly what you want before making it permanent.

So, I wanted a small wrist tattoo done and messaged the lovely people at Perfect Image about it, and to my surprise, they were able to do it the same day. The whole process only took about 45 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I left, and the entire experience was very positive. The staff at the counter were super friendly and knowledgeable, and reassuring ( I am a big chicken.) The tattoo artist Elizabeth, was honest, funny and amazingly gentle. The tattoo hurt WAY less than I expected, which is always a plus. The script I had done is very pretty and I am very happy with how it looks. I am definitely returning here for additional tattoos and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good shop to get their ink done. Thanks guys :)

Got a tattoo done here a couple years ago. Everyone was accommodating and wasn't charged much for the tattoo. I've always felt welcomed walking in there and am eagerly anticipating getting a more complicated and larger tattoo from Ellie on the 25th. She was very kind and has been receptive to my questions. Has responded in good time as well. The quote she gave me for the work was well under what i expected to pay. Edit: I got my tattoo done yesterday and it turned out perfectly and exactly how i imagined. Ellie was amazing and did a fantastic job. Told me everything i needed to know for aftercare. Will be returning to get the second half of the tattoo done. Thanks again :) For those upset at their customer service when they have gone in unsure of what tattoo to get: its frustrating for artists when this happens because they cannot pick or be the judge of what you get. If you go in with reference photos, exact sizing and the exact idea you're looking for you are more likely to get a warm response.

Perfect Image puts the P in Perfect. In all my overall experiences of getting my belly button, septum, tongue and my tattoo. I have had nothing but good experiences. The staff overall is very helpful and open to answer any questions. They’re also helpful online if you don’t have time to call in. They’re the only piercing and tattoo place I trust. May be a bit pricy but it’s worth your money to purchase a good expensive piercing or tattoo than get something cheap and done wrong. I will continue to go to PI for any future piercing or tattoo I wish to get. :)

Unfortunately had two piercings done here. Being a piercing artist in Edmonton, I set fellow artists to high standards. The 2 piercings were so crooked, I had to pull them after two days. Travelled to Banff for vacation, and although the staff were kind, the level of piercing expertise really disappointed me.

Terrible customer service. I was in there yesterday and they must have had 10 people behind the counter. All whom were either too busy talking to eachother or the "young pretty people". Fine whatever. But I'm a fairly heavily tattooed and pierced person (ya know the typical clientele)looking for business and was completely ignored for over 20 mins waiting for someone to help me with some jewelry and bigger stretchers. But ended up seeing that it was a big joke and walked out. Would not recommend .

I made an appointment 2 months in advance for anniversary tattoos.. I showed up and they told me i was a month late. However no one bothered to call me. I drove 4 hours to get there only to find out the help put down the wrong date... The tattoo artist handled it really well said he would get us in when he could without a bew deposit...... Well now the tattoo artist is ghosting me.... Super disappointing. Im hoping the artist is well cause he seemed way cooler then this

Went here to get my ears pierced, and it was honestly the best experience ever. The staff was really friendly and nice to speak to. The place itself was really clean, which was a bonus. The person who pierced my ears (unfortunately I forget their name) helped ease my nerves and took the time to make sure i was happy with the placement of the piercing and everything as well. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Was informed yesterday that because tattoo ink bleeds as it heals, they couldn’t give me a small tattoo. The group of us that went are covered in them already and hadn’t heard of that before. Safe to assume they don’t have many experienced artists hanging around. Their loss, we had about $1000 worth of work to be done between us. A shop in London was happy to take us and did a great job. Ink didn’t bleed either. lol

I felt very unwelcome when i went in, the girls behind the counter were very rude and seemed pissed that i was there. I had to wait about 45 minutes to get my tattoo which was fine, but as i was waiting my artist was talking to the girls looking over at me and all laughing. Do NOT get pierced here. I believed their stellar reputation. Now my piercings don't line up and it's painfully obvious with any pair of earrings aside from studs. Furthermore, they charge you an additional $25 fee for aftercare information. For someone getting their first piercing, there is a lot of dangerous misinformation online regarding sanitation and I would have appreciated getting advice from a professonial (using that word lightly). Going to Claire's next time LOL.

Terrible experience. Went in to have an ear piercing jewelry changed as I wanted a different colour of jewelry. (I've had my ear pierced for over 3 years). First off, the Piercer came in from having a smoke and never washed hands before putting on gloves. Regret not saying anything and letting him continue to touch my ear even with gloves on, the fact he didn't wash his hands was unhygienic and unprofessional. Secondly, the piercing they sold me was cheap and when I returned to the store a month later with an infected ear asking if there was a better type of jewlery I should be purchasing, I was told my ear was just infected and to clean my anodized titanium piercing with Hydrogen peroxide!!!!!! TERRIBLE ADVICE!!!! Would never return to this place and regret giving Perfect Image Waterloo any of my money.

I've gotten half of my piercings completed here ( 11 piercings) the place is good and clean. If you come during Wednesday they have student discount and word of the week on their Facebook page. The only thing is the staff are not knowledgeable. I was told I would be able to wear earphones after 1 month apparently it's going to take a year with the piercings before I can put in earphones. another time I came to get a piercing and they told me I would be able to change the piercing after three months. I found out it would actually be 6-8 months. Other than being misinformed cheap place to get piercings

The staff were super friendly when I entered the shop, and Jay did a great job of listening to what I wanted, all while giving great recommendations in return. Went for a tattoo with Jared and am beyond pleased with the results. I threw a bit of a challenge at him and he far exceeded my expectations. Two sessions totaling about 6 hours were chill easy going. He's quiet, which I appreciated, not to mention immensely skilled and clearly proud of his work. I would highly recommend anybody check out his portfolio. Only thing I found frustrating is that there were loud children in each time I was there and I found it difficult to stay in a good head space as a result. Please enforce the "No Children" sign on the door.

I’ll start by saying the shop is very beautiful, and makes you feel warm and welcoming. However the staff do not, our tattoo artist barely spoke to us, making the whole ordeal awkward, and they questioned the placement of our tattoos and the money we would spend for something that would “fade so quickly” as if I didn’t already know this. Next time shut up and take my money?? No one seems eager to greet you or help you, and there’s no receptionist or desk, so this is kind of a turn off point, because where do you go? There’s just a desk in the middle of the room that the artist all sit around busy chatting - sorry don’t want to interrupt your conversations. They do alright work, but our small and simple tattoo was rushed and over priced, we were doing just a fun spurt of the moment walk in so eh it is what it is.

Got my lip pierced yesterday and not even 24 hours later the piercing already fell out, the ball is near impossible to screw back on. Don’t know whether its a cheap choice of jewelry or the piercers don’t know how to screw on a ball. Paid $80, thanks for the scar in my face

I came here with my friend while he got a piercing. When I first walked in, I was blown away by how gorgeous the store is. It's so clean and the art is gorgeous! I quickly broke down and decided I would get a daith piercing. The receptionist was really sweet and one of the artists came by to chat to us while we were waiting for Brock to be done his lunch. Brock did an excellent job with my piercing. I've never had cartilage pierced before and he set realistic pain expectations and walked me through what he was doing every step of the way. After it was done, he walked me through proper cleaning procedures and told my friend and I to come talk to him if we needed anything else. He was very friendly and professional. If I were to get another piercing, I would come back to Perfect Image with no hesitation. Thanks Brock!

For the second time, I tried to give this shop a chance. I called ahead and asked for a recommendation of who I should speak to in regards to skill level and got some names. Only one of those people was in on the day and when I went in he, Frank, was just finishing up a tattoo. No problem. I waited. After about 15-20 minutes, he comes out and walks right past me and says nothing. I understand if someone is tired and needs to have a break after doing hard work. But it literally takes mere seconds to act professional and say something like, "Hello, I'm just going to be X, I'll speak with you shortly." Or such. That feeling of being looked down upon as a customer and like these people in the shop here don't care about you -- it's right here. Ironically, when I was leaving the shop, he opened the door for me and neither of us spoke to the other as I walked outside and he lit up a cigarette. A rail thin man was playing a bass guitar on the corner next to 7-11. What that guy would do for a dollar -- and here's this tattoo artist who must think he's above all his potential and actual customers. Thankfully there are so many other awesome shops in the tricities with awesome, genuine people working there. I'm sure other people who work at Perfect Image are actual professionals that aren't rude, but I and my friends won't ever step foot in here because to not even spare 1 second is really gross.

I got my septum pierced here and I was soooo nervous and scared because I’ve heard about piercers piercing through the cartilage and not the sweet spot in your nose and the piercer (super pretty blonde girl) did it so fast and got it right in the sweet spot, their super clean and very professional and affordable. 100% recommend.

Tell you one price just to charge you more then what was originally told to you, be aware when confronting them on this they will become rude and in doing such they will say accuse you of lying.

Everyone was sooo nice! I had just gotten my mid helix or cartalige peirced and I was super nervous, they were so nice to me and were very patient with me when deciding what earring I wanted, speaking of earrings, every thing is made with real metals like silver gold, ect. Every thing was clean and just saying I like the ceiling (not that it really matters but it looks really nice). Some of the art that they do is really good and looks just as it would in your mind. This place is great and if I ever get another peircing done I'm getting it here.

I made an appointment at this location to get a small matching tattoo with my friend. I called the day of, and they told us to come in for 8pm (which keep in mind for us was an hour and a half drive one way). So we showed up right on time, got to the front counter and they told us that they had forgotten all about us and thay all of their artists had gone home. They texted their one artist to come back in, however he had already had a drink so he couldn't do the tattoos anyways. He proceeded to be rather rude with us as he asked us to show him the tattoos we wanted. He said something along the lines of "even if I could I don't have enough time to draw up the tattoos and then tattoo them on you both" (even though we we free on time for when they asked us to come in).....so why did they book us so late? This was 100% their fault and they took little to no responsibility for their actions, and offered nothing for wasting both my time and gas money getting there. Would not recommend.

Aaah when I went in,customer service was great. The tattooist was very nice enjoyed his company, and he charged me minimum (120) Wasn’t happy with the tatto I asked for a crescent moon behind my ear. Which I thought was simple (only 5 minutes) the lines are very choppy and most of the shading has disappeared.. and it’s basically a banana behind my ear not a moon. Three stars cause they tried and I liked them but I’ll obviously ill get it touched up elsewhere ????

All of my cartilage piercings were done at Perfect Image in Waterloo and have never had a problem with healing. I've had my inner helix, conch, and rook done. I've also bought jewelry from here before and it's all really high quality. The store is really clean and you can tell they take this seriously. I'd also recommend the after care package they offer since the pre-filled Q-tips are really convenient when your new piercing is healing!

My experience there wasn't great, walked into the store and went up to the front desk, the lady there seemed very annoyed that I had come in. I told the lady that I wanted my cartilage and tragus done but gave me a nasty tone saying I couldn't get it cause I was underage and then I looked at the desk to see the different piercing studs they had and asked her to grab thwm but shouted at me and got annoyed. My piercer was extremely rude to me, he was pretty much yelling at me because I wanted the piercing to be higher, he shouted when i went to go look at saying "DONT TOUCH IT" which I didn't even touch it. After getting it pierced, he didn't explain to me how to clean it. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE, they give extremely poor service. Also got my belly button pierced and the blonde haird lady didnt line up the bottom and top dots so now its freaking crooked:) which is really damn great. She told me to keep it where it was even tho it was so far off to my left side and was advising me not to move it but i did. Point is, just dont go here, you could find another place to go.

I’ve gotten a piercing (conch) and tattoo done here for decent rates. I like how they post about walk-in availability on their Instagram. The tattoo artist I worked with was really up front about design limitations (i.e. size and placement), which I really appreciated because some artists would just take your money and tattoo whatever you asked for. My piece was a little more expensive than I thought it would be but still pretty reasonable! With the piercing I got here, I chose a ring but it was a bit small and the experienced piercer didn’t express any concerns. Ended up with an annoying piercing bump that hasn’t fully gone away/healed despite following aftercare instructions. I got it checked out at another shop when the piercing was really bothering me, and they told me that the bump/discomfort was likely from the pressure of the small ring in my ear. I got the jewellery changed to a labret/flat back stud and it’s been so much better. This could have been avoided if the piercer mentioned healing concerns with a ring but they didn’t. Overall good atmosphere but make sure you ask clarification questions/their opinion on your choices because they might not offer their opinion otherwise.

I really do love this place! I came here before once when it was called deep water I believe, I love how the inside looks! Very clean and modest. Everyone here is very informative with your before and after care, my piercer Anthony was great he made it an enjoyable experience he talked to me through the procedure and it made me feel less anxious, when he pierced my Monroe I didn't even bleed! One of THE WORST! places to get a tattoo! i was better off buying those kids 3D stickers and sticking it on myself because he pushed the needle so deep and my tattoo is scarred and popping up like its 3D its been months now was kinda hoping it would go down, pretty sure the guys name was Adam, honestly go to A PROPER tattoo shop, they also charged $150 or so for something thats the size a bit bigger than a toonie basically and it was just all black and absolutely no detail. lmao what a joke! horrible HORRIBLE PLACE 0/10. they just wanna slap something on you and call it finished. mind you, my tattoo isnt straight, it looked like a 5 year old had an unsteady hand. it isn’t completely filled as there are empty spots. i have many tattoos and theyre all fine, so yes i know how to take care of them, but the main reason why? because they were not done here. lol. save your money. ALSO the girl at the front desk, absolutely brutal & rude in general to talk to, another incident was when the ATM machine wasnt working & she started ranting about how it was the card & how she wanted cash only but we couldn’t withdraw any, she finally let us use the card reader and guess what? it worked. and all she could do was roll her damn eyes. place is a joke.

We stopped in on Saturday afternoon because I was interested in having my ears re-pierced and having a second piercing done. I was taken back by how rude the "first point of contact" in the shop was. She made me feel like I didn't belong in the shop. Yes, I am in my 50's, but I was getting tattoo's and piercings long before she was born. Her attitude towards me made me feel very discriminated against. She told me to sit and wait for the piercer to talk to me. We waited and waited and waited. I don't think she told anyone we were waiting. It's unfortunate that the shop has put this person in charge of "Customer Service" by greeting and welcoming people. She is making the business decisions for the shop, I guess she felt my money wasn't green enough for her. It's too bad she judged this book by it's cover, because we have a good amount of disposable money that we were willing to fork out for your services. Needless to say, I had my piercings done at another shop in town. I'm sure because of your location close to both Universities, this keeps you busy, but if you are interested in growing your business and keeping repeat customers coming in your door, you should think about catering to the young and middle-aged professionals who have money to spend. But understand that we want to be treated with respect and made to feel that you do appreciate our business and loyalty.

My boyfriend went in right before his 17th birthday and got a lovely tattoo on his forearm, a giant one too. I’m turning 17 in 6 days and when I went in to ask to also get a tattoo on my forearm, they refused and told me I could pick “something else and put in on my shoulder or leg, because the artist is not comfortable giving very visible tattoos to minors.” Funny because you gave my boyfriend exactly what he wanted on his forearm not even 3 months ago. Made the mistake of getting my nose pierced here on a 30$ Wednesday. My piercing came to $62 with an aftercare kit. The experience was very rushed and the staff were cold and indifferent, not even smiling or asking my name (I filled in the waiver in silence). It was borderline traumatic and I should have walked out there and then. Even though I bought an aftercare kit, piercing care was barely explained to me (or even the gauge and type of nose piercing) and now I'm left with an okay piercing that I'm unable to remove. Definitely going back to the person who did all my others.

Got a tattoo here and I am very satisfied with it, so I went back to get a piercing. After a day I felt the back of the stud digging into my lip. The piercer said it was fine. I went home and realized only one side was digging in and that the piercing was crooked. I went to to pierce shops near me for a second opinion and they told me I needed to take it out. While taking it out I had to peel the back of the stud out of my lip because of how deep it was digging into my lip. *edit* I went back after I was told to take it out and was told I’d have to pay again to have it repierced. They offered to do it that day even though even though my lip hasn’t healed from the first piercing. The other place I went to for a second opinion said if I had it repierced before it healed it has a good chance of migrating back to the old hole. I would never get a piercing here again. I couldn’t even get my money back!

I was charged a $1 fee for using a credit card. Did not see any signs regarding the fee but apparently there is one and it was not mentioned by the clerk. I had only been there one before so my bad for not catching the signage. However, it's 2020! Everyone pays with debit or credit. It's the cost of doing business.

Went in the other day to get my lobe pierced, the employee piercing my ear seemed like she didn’t want to be there at all. Then quickly put a dot on my ear and didn’t even look to make sure it was aligned with the other side. Then I got bare-to no instructions on how to clean, she said them rather fast. I then realize half way through my day that the backing of my stud has some how unscrewed.. so the lady must have not screwed it on properly. I then spent my time trying to find the backing, did find it eventually. Overall not the best experience at all, pretty disappointing. I’ve been waiting to get my ear fixed for so long and my experience sucked. I went here for the great reviews but I was mistaken.

I got another helix pierced on Wednesday- one of their busiest days because of the $30 piercing deal. I went with my friend, who was going to get her first ever piercing. I already have 2 loves and a helix, so I knew the procedure. The wait was a little long, but there were lots of people there, so we didn't mind. The lady at the front desk did not explain the procedure, nor did the piercer herself. The piercer barely even sanitized my ear, and missed the mark a little bit. I was lucky I was there to explain to my friend the post-piercing cleaning procedure. I can admit they were efficient in getting customers in and out quickly - the piercing itself took 5 minutes - but the fact that the piercer did not explain to my friend who was getting her first ever piercing how you were supposed to clean it and let it heal was shocking, and has me concerned for other people going to the business!

I got my industrial pierced here almost a year ago and I couldn't be happier with it. I have a lot of friends with industrials and they've all had absolute hell with it, but I haven't had any problems at all with mine. The procedure itself was very quick and painless, as well as the piercer being very cautious and making sure it was placed exactly where I wanted it. They were also fantastic in informing me on how to care for my piercing. I was able to buy the products I needed for aftercare at their studio for a very reasonable price and they helped tremendously. I could not recommend this studio more. Poor customer service. Rude staff. First time I went in there to buy plugs, besides for the desk staff being incredibly rude and unprofessional, I insisted that they were the wrong size but they were the only ones left so I guess the shop really wanted to get rid of them. They convinced me they were the right size (didn't even check, couldn't tell me the gauge of it when I asked) I took them home and they were of course too small. A nother negative experience I had at this shop, was that my friend got pierced here.... they told her that she could clean her piercing with ANY type of salt (when you are only supposed to use uniodized sea salt)... of course it got infected as she used table salt

This is an old review. From like 2013. BUT ALAS - my story needs to be told! Went in for the 2for1 piercings. Asked for my tounge and industrial. Got it done by Danny. He himself was a pleasure to work with, but that's where the good stops. Industrial was so high up that the cartilage completely covered the bar, I took it out immediately because it was ugly. The real doozie here is - THEY PIERCED MY TONGUE THROUGH THE MUSCLE ON AN ANGLE. I went to some other places and showed them the pictures and they were completely baffled as to how someone could f-up a tongue piercing that badly. They were literally in stiches laughing and sending the photo to themselves because of how bad it was. When I called Perfect Image to explain how painful and wrong it felt they told me to "Leave it" in a couple days, they reassured me that this was normal. Called the doctor - told me to take it out immediately. Tried to get a refund - I even had my receipt and pictures. Nope. Nada. The manager literally laughed me out of the store. If conversation of shops comes up I will fly into my rant about this story every time and I will for the rest of my life to make sure NO ONE gets screwed over like I did. RUDE RUDE STAFF. HORRIBLE BUSINESS. NOT EVEN PROPERLY TRAINED. BEWARE. FYI after reading your reviews it's clear that Liz is the only competent employee you have. I hope good things happen to her. I hope you have different staff now.

Julia was awesome doing the piecing then explaining how to take proper care of your ears to prevent infection after the visit. The facility is very bright and well laid out. I don’t usually write reviews, but the workers at the front desk are very unprofessional. I was trying to get an appointment with a specific person after a consultation, but got booked and paid my deposit with the wrong person. I got an email telling me that I hadn’t booked anything and no one had told me the deposit was non refundable. Over the phone (after calling many times to see what was going on) I overheard someone call me a “situation” like I was wrong and they don’t want the business. Please get better people to work at the front desk. The artists are decent. Response: I wouldn’t have minded a reschedule, but what deterred me was literally me hearing them call me a situation like I’m a bad customer, when there was an actual mistake made on your part. I didn’t want to come back to the shop if I don’t feel welcomed.

Great piercer! I got my catilage done and its been over a month now and no issues. I am prone to infection so i am still surprised ive had no issues thus far. She was fast and reassuring and the place was very clean. Only negative comment is that the initial walkin process wasnt great. Walked in and took a while for someone to ask me what i was doing there. Then they charged me extra without telling me. I didnt mind paying the extra but heads up would have been nice. Note: studs are more expensive than hoops if you’re going for the $30 special.

UPDATE: Since my first tattoo experience here with the spaceship, I’ve gone back for a nostril piercing and two more tattoos. I cannot express enough how friendly and professional the staff here is - they always make you feel welcome and at home there. Won’t go anywhere else for my tattoos or piercings! I had an amazing experience here; everyone was really friendly and Jesse, the artist who gave me my tattoo, was really cool and nice and did a fantastic job. Well worth the money as well - I got a big tattoo on my forearm of the ship from Firefly, cost me 200 dollars. A lot less than smaller tattoos I have from another studio.And despite what a lot of 1/2 star reviews say, the front reception lady was really nice over the phone and once I got there. Will definitely be going back for more and will recommend it to friends and family.

I like their jewelry selection, but the tattoos are super overpriced, and pretty unoriginal (in my opinion). I’ve had many piercings done here (now almost all taken out) because they wouldn’t heal. Was also just told (as I see a lot of other people have been) to “not touch them” when I asked for some advice as to how to get them to heal. Customer service is a real hit and miss here. I’ve had times where they’ve been super rude, and condescending (piercers and counter staff as well) And other times where they’ve been nice. You just never feel welcome in the shop in general. I feel like if someone goes here for their first tattoo, it’ll scare them away from tattoo shops, thinking they’re all going to be like that. But trust me they aren’t! I’ve had many tattoos done, only 2 of which I’ve gotten here when I first started getting tattoos. Way way too much money being charged for what you’re getting. There are a lot of other tattoo shops in KW that are more professional, better quality, and a lot more relaxing to be in.

Tattoo turned out great! Clean and very straight lines. However, I brought in a special original drawing that I drew years ago for my tattoo artist to have as a reference and I accidentally left it there after being rushed out. I called when I got home and realized I left it there. When I picked it up the next day, I found out that they crumpled it up and threw it in the garbage. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and respect in this tattoo shop.

I genuinely had probably the worst experience of my life here. I had gotten two tattoos here, one had to be fixed three times and looks horrible, and the other looks like a stick and poke tattoo someone did with their eyes closed. I wanted my money back and they said they would "fix my tattoos" after I had already been there 3 more times to get it fixed, and then tried to charge me for it. They look horrible. Not to mention each cost about 150-200 dollars, considering how small and horribly done they are. Every-time I look at my tattoos I want to cry. They hold such meaning to me and the fact that the artist knew this and still tried to say nothing was wrong with them. I just want my money back and will probably have to end up getting them removed. The 17 below is after it had been touched up once, and the second darker one is the third "fix".

Extremely rude and unprofessional service. Pick a better place when getting a piercing done. I got a piercing four months ago and they whole time it just kept being infected and wouldn't heal. I went back to ask them and they just told me to stop touching it but didn't help me at all. They were really rude and had no understanding of customer service whatsoever. Feeling frustrated I decided to go to another place and they told me it was infected because the jewel is too short and it's hurting it more. My piercing is finally healing. Two weeks ago one of my friends went to get a piercing at Perfect Image as well and they same thing happened to him. We went in today and they didn't not help at all. The lady couldn't even look at my friend in the eyes while she said 3 words: "don't touch it." Extremely rude and unprofessional service. Pick a better place when getting a piercing done.

I'm honestly really upset with my experience here. I normally don't write reviews but given how upset I was during and after my appointment I think it warrants a written opinion. I was treating myself today for a late birthday present (I made the appointment a week or so ago and everything was fine). Cut to the day of the appointment and the customer service was horrible. I spent close to $260 on a an ear piercing with the technician Ashley who was horrendous at making conversation and didn't acknowledge how I wanted my lobes done (I personally think they're too spaced out from the first hole which is what I said and she didn't really care). She also had her mask off after it was finished which is completely reckless and unprofessional given how we're literally under a global pandemic. Tbh I kind of want a refund; I'm not happy at all with the service and even teared up a bit walking home, I'm sorry but if a customer is going to pay close to $260 the least you can do is make conservation and have them taken care of in a promptly manner. Will not be recommending this place to my uni friends.

I booked a consultation to have someone look at a piece that a different artist already started. They got me in right away. The minute I walked into the shop I felt so welcome! (Most shops these days make you feel like you interrupted their personal work party). Jay, my artist, was there to greet me along with another man whom I didn't get his name. He got right down to business and took a look at what I was needing help with. After talking for a bit about some ideas how he could help, he encouraged me to come back in an hour, as he could fit me in for a 2 hour session to get started. I was so relieved! From start to finish, he was an absolute gem. So professional and made me feel like I mattered. We had great conversation during my time on the table and he even let me friend stay with me and interacted with her just as much. As someone who has a fair amount of tattoos..I've seen my share of ignorant shops..not the case here at all! So long as I'm in or around canmore, I will be staying with Jay and the crew at Perfect Image. His work is crisp, clean and exactly what we talked about. I cannot wait to book another session with him.

I was beyond disappointed with my experience there. I came for my appointment, to my knowledge was, at 7pm. When I arrived at 6:55pm I was informed that the piercer had left because he was finished his shift at 7pm. The staff there were not polite at all and told me I was lying and my appointment was actually at 6:50pm. They turned me away saying "there was nothing they could do". Mind you even if there was a misunderstanding over the phone and my appointment was at 6:50pm, the piercer only stayed for 5min until heading out. I believe anyone who owns a business knows that customers can not always plan arrival exactly to the minute. It was too bad that this was my experience, and I'm glad to hear there are better reviews :)

I am that person that asks a ton of questions and does my research, I messaged their facebook page with my questions and they responded right away and were very patient with me. I got my daith pierced the other day and it was over quickly, the piercer was clear with aftercare. Even days later I messaged them with a question and they responded right away. Super disappointed with the outcome of my naval piercing... it wasn’t done using a clamp and free handed instead. Very very crooked and wasn’t even placed with the bottom ball coming out of the top of my naval. It was pretty much just sitting above it in my skin. 6 months later I was left with a very nasty scar after dealing with infection and rejection. Multiple piercers have taken a look at my naval and say that it was definitely due to the placement. Just very disappointed that the piercer didn’t take his time to ensure it was placed properly. Not to mention I paid well over 100 for the piercing not even including the after care products. Sad that if I would like to make the scar less noticeable I will have to go through the process again but will definitely be trying a different piercer!

Artists are great and know what they're doing. Wish they were more conversational though. Not easy for a first time piercing or tattoo, but they kinda just want to get you done and out of there. If you ask questions (in person), they're helpful for sure. It's been just over a year since I got my nose ring done and it was a great experience. My mum and I went in around 3pm (on a wednesday) and only had to wait about 15 minutes to see the piercer, once in the room my piercer was very kind and considerate towards my anxiety towards the whole 'needle in the face' situation, waiting patiently for me to calm and be ready while talking to me about how she wasnt the biggest fan of needles either. Whether it was true or not it definitely made me feel 10 times better. The store its self was very clean and calming all around (including the bathroom) The customer service at the check in desk was excellent as well. The women working their helped me to pick the right stud for me and was super supportive of me getting my first peircing. A great place all around, would definitely come back again

The worst experience here. Tattoos and piercings are overpriced. The tattoo they designed for me looked like something I could’ve drawn (and I have 0 experience drawing). They made me pay a $50 deposit before giving me this drawing and after receiving the sketch, there was no way I was getting it permanently on my body. There are much better tattoo parlors in the area for students that are way more knowledgeable and have affordable pricing.

update: i got the hoop changed and it's pretty cool! no major discomfort during/after but the septum piercing was healed for a while (since last dec) Have had a mix of piercings and replacements done here (left tragus and septum) and I can't really find anything to complain about. Both times that I had the piercing done were pretty swift and the healing wasn't too problematic and the time that I went to get my septum piercing switched was reasonably quick, however I may pop back in as the hoop may be a bit small and fits differently from the previous one.

Tattoo artist didnt tell me the price when i went in for a consulation. I wanted to get my childrens names on the outside of my arms. He charged me 200 an arm... For letters which i could have done anywhere else for 200 for both arms. I ended up only putting one of my childrens names on my arm. I only did it because my husband had put down a deposit and changed tattoo parlors. So i ended up using his deposit for my tattoo under the impression the artist would charge me hourly. I thought they were very sketchy as they dont seem that friendly. And when you enter the place they all just stare at you making you feel uncomfortable and the girl at the front desk doesnt greet you right away.

Went to get both nostril pierced. Uneven piercing done here by experienced piercer. She also made me feel uncomfortable and uneasy. The next day the other piercing sank and not healing and I took it out. This means the ball of the piercing was too small or the bar was too short. I went in to get a refund because they improperly pierced my nose They also stated they use the same sizing of piercing for all nose types. They argued with me instead of helping me and I walked out. Do your research and go elsewhere where they care about their customers, because they do not care about YOU at this establishment.

I've gotten two tattoos from this studio as well as my industrial bar changed a couple times. My family also goes here for their tattoos. While it is pricey, thats the price you pay for good work. I don't know why there are some bad & harsh reviews. Everytime i go in i find the entire staff friendly. I like this studio because the staff are friendly and it has a open concept with an inviting feel. This helps me feel relaxed instead of intimidated which some tattoo shops create that vibe. Liz is very friendly and has beautiful work yes, but i don't think the reviews calling her the only decent staff member there is appropriate. I've had my tattoos done by Jessie and Jake and find them both to be friendly and wonderful. It's not necessary to bash other artists and make them feel bad about themselves. Maybe when you had went in they had an off day. Which everyone does. I also find the piercer friendly and chill and the two girls at the desk also nice. I enjoy both my tattoos that i've recieved at this shop and will be going back for my others here as well. Wonderful place (: ❤️

Got forward helixes done here, the guy did not make me feel relaxed at all or even really talk to me besides giving me commands of where to tilt my head. He made marks on my ear of where the piercings were going to be but didn't give me a chance to see them (which is a pretty basic thing that piercers should do - let the person you're going to stick a hole in see where it'll be). Also did not let me know what was going on at all, he just started piercing (I had to ask a few times what was going on and if he was done). The job was not done very well either, both bars came out within a day of getting them in. I was very careful, kept my hair out of the way, slept on the other side, and the bars just fell out. Seemed like he just wanted to get the job done fast. Went back to get the bars put back in and it was a girl this time, she was a lot nicer and gave better advice but it still does not excuse the terrible guy. long story short, if you do get a piercing here (which I do NOT recommend), ask for the girl

These people were extremely polite and very professional, our tattoo artists name was Pablo. He was able to turn our vague descriptions of what we wanted into more than we could imagine. His attention to detail and line work was absolutely amazing, not to mention the very decent price at the end for the quality of work done. Rude women at front counter. Went in and requested a walk in piercing, after calling ahead and driving 1.5 hours from out of town. Women told me they never have a piercer on the day I went in even though she had specifically stated otherwise on the phone. Only got worse after when, as I explained as much, she made me feel very stupid. Do not have a tattoo or piercing studio where I am from, was hoping to make this my new go to place. This treatment assured me I will continue to look else where.

The reception was trying to tell me it would hurt way more than a smaller gauge, and that I should probably just get a stud. Also, I had made an appt. Showed up on time for it. Same aforementioned staff tried to tell me I had to come back, and that the piercer wasn't in. She was. Said it was fine, she had time (obviously.. Made an appt..) and was super agreeable. Lost my nose stud so went in to purchase another one. The receptionist/front desk was so sweet and gave me the perfect advice and help. Once I picked out the stud I wanted, she told me they could put it in for me for free. Once I was in the closed room, the piercer walked in. She was so rude; did not greet me, introduce herself, or converse while I was being overly polite. She then went on to put the piercing in my nose, jabbing it in and pulling my face up. The hole had closed up a little bit and so without telling me, she jabs a needle through my nose bringing me to full tears of pain. After that, she said 'done' and left the room. Disgusted in the treatment and attitude from this woman.

Perfect Image puts the P in Perfect. In all my overall experiences of getting my belly button, septum, tongue and my tattoo. I have had nothing but good experiences. The staff overall is very helpful and open to answer any questions. They’re also helpful online if you don’t have time to call in. They’re the only piercing and tattoo place I trust. May be a bit pricy but it’s worth your money to purchase a good expensive piercing or tattoo than get something cheap and done wrong. Got a simple piece but he made it come to life for me, next to no pain and it healed up quicker than any tattoo before. I went to get a conch piercing there. I wanted a ring for my conch, and they didn't say anything, just pierced it and put a ring in and charged me. Two weeks later I had huge Keloid scar. I went back and all they said was to not touch it and that it should heal. Went to another piercer. He told me that he would never pierce a conch with a ring and that the jewelry was cheap and not helping. I'm thankful I went to the other guy because he changed it and educated me so much. Knowing what I know now, I'm shocked and really alarmed that they never thought to educate me or warn me against getting a conch with a ring.

It’s a nice, clean shop and that’s what the two stars are for. However, I’m beyond annoyed that after booking an appointment over a week in advance, and after reading through their website, PLUS calling in to confirm that I could bring my baby to a piercing appointment when his dad got called to work, it was it until AFTER I showed up that I was asked if I was breastfeeding and then turned away. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having this policy, I’m not at all put off about this rule. But if that’s the policy, it should’ve been easy to find on their website or otherwise screened in advance. Anyone who has little ones knows that getting to an appointment on time alone with a baby is a lot of effort and especially since I called to ask about bringing said baby, it’s just plain silly that it didn’t come up beforehand. What a colossal waste of time and effort.

This place is a hit or miss, but mostly a miss. I got 2 forward facing helix piercings here. Each time done by a different piercer. The first girl was nice and the piercing was ok, but WAY overpriced. The second piercing was done by a short larger girl with long dark hair. She was incredibly rude and treated me like I don't know anything (I have over 20 piercings) the piercing was crooked and rubbed against the other in the back. It's been 6 months and the second one will not heal, constantly swollen and irradiated. Anytime I asked for advice they just bark "don't touch it!" I don't! The staff behind the counter really have no cusomer service skills. They make clients feel unwelcomed.

Had a decent piercing experience here. Not exactly sure the name of the piercer. Update; Day 7 of having my vertical labret NOT stop bleeding! I mean gushing blood on several occasions many times a day! I called the shop, emailed, SMS messaged them and every time they said it was normal. Shall I make it known at the time of piercing I was NOT told it may, could, will bleed I was told it'd swell. I consulted three other piercers and everyone said it was normal Last night, landed myself in the ER when my lip was bleeding so heavily my husband said enough was enough. Turns out, the girl who pierced me hit an artery in my lip. They had to remove the jewelry and somehow stop the bleeding. I could have bled to death. Not only did I loose my money, my time, and my piercing I was very close to loosing much much more than that. I'm not trying to blame this particular piercing place, or the piercer herself. I took my chances. However, I can place blame on her for not saying that this " could" happen. As a professional it is her literal job to warn you of the potential dangers, what to look out for, how to properly care for your piercing. She did none of the sort. Gave me basic care instructions told me I'd swell and sent me on my merry way. I thought nothing much of it ( until now) I have many piercings that have healed just fine.. Moral of my story Research, ask and do it at your own risk.

My tattoo took maybe 10 mins, no color, small and he charged me $170!!! I have a large, full tattoo, beautiful quality that I paid $160 for from a much more professional artist. Huge disappointment. Myself and a friend had booked a few small tattoos as well as a piercing at this location through email and we’re quoted 120-150 each. Their hourly rate being $200 we thought that was fair. Upon arrival we were told the piercer was sick, fine. But coming from out of town and being excited for this a phone call or email for a heads up would have been nice. My friend also wanted a tattoo behind her ear- apparently this location will not do tattoos above the collarbone, who knew this was a thing? If this is the case they should at least ask for placement when taking our deposits to ensure they are able to do everything we want, or advertise this on their website. For my appointment, which was just under half an hour, and my friends appointment, which was 20 minutes, we were both charged the max quote they gave, even after not being able to do a piercing and a tattoo that we had booked. $300 for 50 minutes of tattooing. They also gave us zero information on aftercare. I will not be back and will not recommend this business.

I had a great experience with Pablo. He was very patient with my many tattoo requests. Based on his IG and his repertoire at the shop, I could tell he was a very seasoned artist. The guys at the front were also pretty cool and informative. Something I thought I should mention: I wanted to add a couple of extra details to my tattoo the next day so I dropped by without an appointment. Pablo took me in immediately and added what I requested, which was super cool. However, I was charged almost the same amount as my initial tattoo which took much longer and was already overpriced. When I asked the front desk about it, I was told that it was the shop minimum since the needles are one-time use. This is on me because I’m the one who needed more work done, but I thought it was a bit excessive. This wasn’t my first tattoo, nor was it my first time getting a tattoo at Perfect Image. Most places will do a touch up for a few bucks or even for free sometimes. To add insult to injury, they only accept cash for tattoos… I’m changing my 5 star review to a 4 but the quality of the work and the artist (Pablo) deserve a 5. My beef is with the shop and its scummy policy.

I got a tattoo yesterday by Jesse and he was great. Unfortunately I didn’t have the best customer service over the last two days as I called twice about a design I wanted and I was hung up on. After emailing them they said that they could do the tattoo but I would have to put down a $50 deposit which was fine once I drove there and I was told that they could only do a small tattoo that day. So I ended up getting a whole different tattoo. My small tattoo is four paw prints and I think it was very very overpriced I paid $200 for a tattoo (I personally have seven tattoos and some of them being bigger and I have never paid that much for such a tiny tattoo) I think that The pricing is a bit much and the customer service needs a bit more work on organization.

Drove from Hamilton out to brantford twice after calling to make sure their open telling them I’m coming in and showing up to a completely closed shop with no heads up. Got here at 5 pm last Saturday when the hours on google say till 8 pm and their website says till 9 pm so I called and asked if they were open they said yes, I emailed twice and didn’t recieve a response till after my second email (5 days later but they had no problem replying to my boyfriends general question within one day so that says a lot) and in which I just got a reply when the piercer would be there, that’s really great help considering when they are suppose to be there they aren’t, I’ve had this happen not once but twice using 3 quarters of a tank there and back multiple times for them to close without notice yes I know they update their Instagram occasionally if it will be closed because I tried checking for the 4 days they couldn’t email me back but continued to non stop post about their shop on Instagram. Glad you offered me to come back out a third time to see if you guys might be there. Don’t bother calling/emailing

I got my nose pierced here before and don't get me wrong it was a great experience. Everyone who works there is very nice and friendly and willing to answer any questions. However, yesterday I got my septum pierced and what really threw me off was that the girl doing the piercing didn't even disinfect my nose or anything!! I didn't say anything in the moment but leaving the place I kind of got all paranoid because you're dealing with blood and needles and if you're not disinfecting my nose I start to get worried about what other things might not be getting disinfected. At least if you're not disinfecting let me know what's up with that. Like is there a reason? because I just left the place feeling kind of scared for my health, and that's not really the feeling you want to have after getting a piercing :/

Most of the positive reviews are because of a tattoo giveaway. You had to leave a good review to be entered to win a $500 tattoo and some people haven’t even been here so check the REAL reviews. Most are bad. The shop is clean but the staff are rude. When you walk in all the artists are sitting together and don’t even bother looking up from their phones and the older receptionist is rude too, she just ignores you. They had some nice stuff but the one guy piercer was the only one good at his job and we just found out he’s not even there anymore???? So four people wanting piercings are going somewhere else now. Save your money cause a shop that has to (illegally) bribe people for good reviews isn’t that good.

Loved the tattoo artist he did an amazing job but the people upfront didn’t have the greatest communication, before we booked we were told it would be 120~160 all together to get a small tattoo on me and my fiancé and then when it came time to pay a different lady told us it would be 300 for two small tattoos that took no longer than 20 mins all together, we tried to talk to the other guy we talked to before but he was out of the store for a couple mins and ended up being over charged.

Horrible experience... went in for a simple jewellery change of my daith piercing and the "peircer" tore my inner ear and put in a cheap nickle hoop which I am apparently allergic to. Finally went to a reputable studio who fixed it with a titanium hoop and advised this studio is notorious for using nickle .... Never again... do research peeps.

I was happy with the overall experience in the studio everyone was friendly and nice to talk to, the only thing that threw me off was the final price of our tattoos after being told on the phone would be around $120. I understand a little fluctuations after being finished but the whole tattoo took 15-20 min to do and cost $180 for such a small tattoo... seems a little expensive for what we had done. Over all the tattoos are not more then 2 inches long and cost $360... a little extreme on the price.

I've gotten a tattoo and a piercing here on separate occasions. The person who tattooed me (Liz) was good - good work, and polite. Not overly friendly but I was definitely satisfied with my experience with her. My piercer (Stef) was wonderful! She was very friendly! However, every time I've gone in there, the people at the front desk have been overly rude. Apathetic and almost bothered by you being there. It ruined the experience enough to make me recommend not going there.

The location was incredibly clean for a tattoo and piercing place, the jewelry there is also high quality. Went their for an ear piercing, there I met Kris Harley (The gentleman working at the counter), he was extraordinarily friendly and very helpful while I browsed through their selection of jewelry. My first piercing there was done by Tyler Musselman, he was very quick about the entire experience a small pinch but that's to be expecting. He didn't play around like a lot of piercers do, he was nice enough to give me his oppinion on where the piercing should go and was very patient making the experience stress free and pretty much painless. My second piercing at this location was done by Natasha, I'm afraid that I didn't get her last name, Kris was at the counter and was kind enough to place the jewelry piece I desired on hold for me in spite of their limited selection.

Inquired about getting a piece to cover up an old simple mistake. Told the girl at the desk what I wanted to do, which would eventually be a sleeve, but needed to cover up the sore spot. She gave me some advice that made no sense and lost a sale. I could have furthered the conversation, but was immediately turned off of pursuing business with someone that didnt seem to want it. My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and couldn't get in, that was understandable. A year later, our anniversary trip, no one in sight getting work done, and this happens. It's a shame, we really wanted to mark the occasion. Otherwise, really nice looking place.

I think a lot of the mixed reviews here are dependent on who (Piercer/artist) customers got. I went in to get a second lobe piercing in the fall. The place was very clean and hygienic. I signed all the required forms and the woman took me in. She didn't mention anything about the process or what tools she was using, risks ect. It seemed like she just wanted to get the job done asap (place wasn't even busy). Me, being the bio/health student, I get paranoid, so I asked her all my questions - that's when she briefly explained. My piercing healed fine, no major problems. But there was a lack of customer service provided from her end. Even after that experience and reading all these reviews, I went back to get inked because the place was super hygienic. But I made sure I asked for Adam, since he had great reviews. It was my first tat, and Adam made the process so comfortable, explained everything to me, all the material ect. Plus he kept up a convo during the inking (which was great, cause some artist don't). It was a great experience! Anyone looking to get their first tattoo, I would highly recommend trying to get Adam as your artist!

I've had four piercings done here (2nd holes done twice). The first two I had to close up due to my own mistake. I didn't realize screwbacks would be a bad idea during the first year. The second time I had complications which they failed to recognize. The one ear was reacting to the steel starter earring and the pain/swelling never subsided. I was given bad advice to stop cleaning the piercing, causing a secondary infection. If you have complications don't waste your time asking the piercer's, go to a trained medical professional. After following the doctor's advice and switching to titanium, my bad ear is finally almost pain and swelling free.

Yikes! Wrong size jewellery put in, acknowledged by the piercer. Went back to change it, piercer admitted the new piece was not an ideal replacement but said it would be fine. A week later the new jewelry fell out. Was told I had to pay to get it repierced because it closed up after their jewelry came out the night before. Had to give up a kidney to get a store credit, eventually was offered a full refund. Was told I’d have to wait 2-3 days for the $30 dollar refund plus tax. Went to George downtown Kitchener the next day, got a BEAUTIFUL repiercing with correct size and jewelry type. Save yourself the trouble and go to a five star spot. Don’t make the same mistake I did, a big, shiny studio does not mean better work!

We went as a family to get some very cliche matching tattoos. We had Ollie tattoo us and he was excellent! Very knowledgeable of the local Banff/canmore area, doubling as a local travel agent suggesting attractions and local restaurants to dine at. He was a champ with his witty humour and excellent workmanship making the whole experience enjoyable, can't recommend him enough. Unfortunately our tattoos were very small, quick jobs (took about 20 minutes each) and we were charged nearly $160 each so price was very expensive. The tattoos turned out great.

Came in for a helix piercing, by far the best experience i have had at tattoo/piercing place. Shantal made me feel very comfortable and calm. She was incredibly professional and friendly. 100% would recommend to anyone looking to get a piercing/tattoo in the area

Came into Perfect Image thinking it was a very professional place. I went to get my tongue pierced and was given a internal threaded bar that just touched each side of my tongue. So me new to piercings and all... had to push the ball back through my tongue and had to go out and buy the right bar instead of the bar these guys messed up my tongue with. Never went over the info I should of been explained before the piercing was even done. Definitely my first and last visit and piercing.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of tattoo I received from jake. Jake was 35 mins late to my appointment and processed to chat with his friends in the shop and play on his phone even after being so late. I was getting a touch up to a tattoo he had previously done that was extremely faded and missing parts. He was arrogant and rude while doing the tattoo, he wouldn’t even carry on a conversation. The touch up looks terrible. He only touched up parts of the tattoo leaving the rest faded and missing parts. I would never see him again as his work needs a lot of improvement. I would recommend other staff as they are friendly and extremely talented . Do not see jake for any tattoo needs.

Dropped in for a small paw print tattoo. Lines aren't even connected and by the third paw the pad looks like a triangle. Supper sloppy and rushed. My friends small 5 minuet tattoo also lacked symmetry. 10/10 would not recommend. @ 126$/Hour I had reasonable expectations for such a simple tiny design that anyone should be able to tattoo.

First off id like to say Tash is an amazing piercer and does all my work! Secondly id like to actually make a complaint about one of the girls there (tall, thin, dark hair) She sets off a bad vibe to the shop when i walk in and makes me feel like im not welcome there. A couple weeks ago i popped in and wanted to buy a new piece for tash to put in my ear (tash was busy at the time and could not help me out) and i was told the wrong price. So i didnt purchase it that day... all to find out it was actually half of what i was told. Pretty disappointing!!!! i spend a ton of money at ur shop, all my jewelry is gold and top of the line.... She seems too caught up in her phone to take the time to actually pay attention to clients that come in. Not cool.

Wanted to book a consolation about a future tattoo. The guy at the front desk told me to come back in 2 hours the artist would be there. I came back the same guy at the front desk didn’t really remember me but took me to the back to see the artist anyways. The artist was actually working on a client at the same time so I felt bad interrupting their time that client is paying for. I told the artist quick what I had envisioned and asked if he wanted to see pictures of what I had in mind. He said “no I will just do it my style” I ended up just walking out. This is my tattoo on my body I want it my way not just how the artist wants it

The only place to go for a tattoo. I've had most of my tattoos done by the artists here and I'm beyond happy with the quality. All the artists are super friendly and knowledgeable. The quality of work is fantastic. Piercings on Wednesdays are a great deal too! The only place I go for those too! Whatever you're there for you won't be disappointed

I’ve gotten two tattoos and multiple piercings done here. The $30 walk in Wednesday piercings are great! They are extremely clean and friendly and do whatever they can to make you happy. I had a cartilage piercing but wanted an industrial and they made it work! The two tattoos I got turned out beautifully and the artist was patient when I was deciding the size of my a tattoo.

The moment you walk in no one wants to help you and when they do the girls are very stuck up and rude speaking to you as if you arent tatted enough to be in the store. Very much like you're below them. I wanted to get "I love you" on my back and they said it would cost me almost 300$... Went to exotic skin and he charged me 60$
