I have nothing but great things to say about Nostalgia Tattoo. This was my first 2 tattoos at this shop and I'm super impressed. Very clean place. Alot of attention put into sterilization of the equipment before and after my tattoos. Spencers line work and shading is excellent. My first 2 tattoos with colour and am more then happy. Thanks for everything Spencer. Marc you have a great tattoo artist there! I'll make the drive from Petawawa for my future ink.

Popped in randomly on a Saturday morning and was very impressed with the prompt and courteous service I received. They do welcome walk in's and I lucked out as Marc had a cancellation. Once he arrived at the shop, Marc immediately went to work. He took his time to draw up my vision, tatted me up and I was out of the shop within 2 hours after that. Can't say enough good things about this place. This was my experience: I understand it can be intimidating for some to walk into a tattoo shop. Don't feel nervous about coming here. Right after walking in the door, I’m greeted by Marc and Spencer who's humility, and calm energy immediately made me feel at ease. After running a few ideas by Marc and getting his professional opinion, I knew that this was someone I wanted to work with. It was apparent he knew what he was talking about. Mine was especially tricky since my tattoo idea wasn't ideal for a cover-up. Closer to the appointment, Marc started messaging me with ideas and concepts on how to maintain the integrity of my vision while being able to still cover-up the old one. I'm sure he spent hours and hours on the drawing as we were messaging back and forth on a Sunday (his day off). On the days of the tattooing, Marc and Spencer's calm energy and overall 'cool-ness' made it a pleasure to 'hang-out' with them and took away from the pain of the needles. They both clearly have a passion for what they do and are committed to giving a great customer experience. Overall, I LOVE my tattoo and am already getting many compliments. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Out of every shop ive ever been to, Nostalgia is without a doubt the best shop in Guelph. Ive been tattooed by both Marc and Brien, and they have been by far some of the best tattoo experiences ive ever had. Its always a good time and I always look forward to my appointments. You can tell they care and always like to make people feel comfortable with good conversation and laughs. They keep the shop a friendly environment for anyone that might want to get tattooed. Maybe this is just me but I love a shop with music at an acceptable volume. ???? Love this place and will always be my first choice.

HUGE shout out to Marc! Not only did he take the time to do some touch ups on another artist's work that I wasn't completely happy with- he really took the time to hear my vision for my new piece & then took it to a whole other level & executed it masterfully!!! Besides his excellent work- I also found him very pleasant & down to earth! The conversation flowed effortlessly while he worked- making the 4 hrs pass quickly. I got my first tattoo here in 2015 while I was a student at UoG. I'm not sure if its under new management (though it doesn't seem to be) or they had a reopening. But if the aren't... The tattoo itself turned out well, and has held up over the years. The place was clean, the owner was quick to respond and let me know what would or wouldn't work. I recently just got another. I've been thinking a lot about my first experience at Nostalgia tattoo compared to the other places I've gone. My initial consultation was with the owner, I paid my deposit, looked over photos of my ideas, we came to somewhat of a conclusion, let him know it was my first tattoo and booked my appointment. However, on the day I arrived for my appointment, I found out someone else was going to be inking me, and the design, which was being drawn 30 minutes after my arrival, was completely different from what we had discussed, and my input wasn't asked once. I felt completely in the dark about what was going on, but I was young, and nervous and didn't want to make to seem like I didn't know anything so I kept my mouth shut. Both the person inking me and the owner seemed very uninterested in me as a client. Everything after that went smoothly. The tattoo (although not what I originally asked for) turned out great, it still looks great and the healing process was quick. I'm writing this review for 2 reasons: 1) So that the business can reflect on how they handle younger clients who most likely don't know anything about the tattooing process, so that they don't feel in the dark, stressed and are 100% informed about everything that will be going on. Things that may seem common practice to you, are new to others. It's been 4 years and I still remember how I felt. 2) So that younger clients who are reading this hopefully know being treated like this and left in the dark isn't ok. Speak up if you feel uncomfortable or you're not sure whats going on. I write this with good intentions only, not to drag a business down but to help them continue to succeed.
