Walked in this morning for a potential walkin. Very simple Tatoo and very small. Greeted by one of the workers who abruptly looked at the tattoo and said “no we won’t have time for that today” even though the place was empty. He gave no explanation, and was not friendly. I’ve done three of my tattoos as walkins with this place and never had a problem, needless to say I won’t be going back. I went to Perfect Image who did my tattoo right away. It’s ok to say you don’t have time but don’t treat the customer bad!

I went to mom’s tattoo based on the reviews and ratings it had on Google. Going in I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted done. I scheduled a tattoo with Gord and in about month’s time I was in for my session. Gord had done up exactly what I had asked and on the day of I asked for some very minor modifications which he quickly did as to my request as I am very OCD about even the minor of details. The tattoo took very little time and Gord is a pretty cool guy and talking to him made the time fly by even quicker and before I knew it I was done. The tattoo was perfect, it’s exactly what I had imagined and expected. I am going back to Gord for another tattoo in less than a month and I am super excited. The price ended up being less than what I expected so I just ended up paying what I thought it should’ve been, especially after I consider the fact that you can’t put a price on something that’s pretty permanent on your body. My tattoo also had sentimental value to it and it was a surprise for my wife which she enjoyed very much. Thank you Gord, looking forward to my next tattoo from you!

My daughter called to arrange an appointment but they would not book an appointment over the phone (you only get a scheduled appointment if you go in and pay a deposit). She arranged a "walk in" time at 5pm but when we arrived, the tattoo artist had gone home for the day despite the appointment book showing her name as a walk-in. With a $50 deposit, we booked an appointment for the next day at 12pm. It was not until our arrival that the tattoo artist started to get ready - sanitized the area, printed the stencil which took about 30 minutes. The tattoo was small so it only took the artist about 5 minutes to complete. When my daughter paid, the owner of the shop did the calculation of change using a calculator and had the correct change in her hand but then she went back under the counter with the money and came back up with $10 less and tried to short change my daughter by $10. When the owner was confronted, her reply was "Oh, that totally unintentional." Really? If it was unintentional, how about "I'm sorry?" Why do you have to say it was unintentional? Her actions and words make me think it was very intentional. My daughter was very happy with her tattoo but there is lots of room for improvement in customer service and integrity at Mom's Tattoo Shop.

Hello world, greetings. So let me tell you how impressed and satisfied I am with the tattoo I got from JESSI GRIGSBY who works at this great shop. I had an idea for a sloth tattoo. I basically wanted a furry little guy hanging from a tree. I gave Jessi some reference pictures and through email we came up with a sketch together that I was happy with. The big day came and I didn't know exactly how it was going to turn out in terms shading and detailing. HOWEVER..........HOWEVER MY LADDIES...........JESSI........Jessi had my back. Here I stand looking at the smol furry boi on my back and I still can't believe how good it turned out. Jessi absolutely killed it I had no idea that she was capable of such work. She is amazing and also quirky and funny. Price was very reasonable as well . Jessi if you are reading this thank you. 10/10

First impression of Gord.. nicest guy I ever met haha. i called, walked in, showed Gord my design. he stenciled it.. did some fancy tattoo thing.. made sure i liked the placement of the tattoo. the receptionist.. didn't catch her name.. gave me a candy cane while Gord tattooed away. it was clean, professional and chillled :)

I find that the people who complain about their tattoo artists just don't understand that other people CAN'T READ YOUR MIND. Speak up and you'll likely have a great experience if you pick a good artist. Mom's tattoo shop is one of the less pretentious shops in KW in my opinion. It's easy to feel comfortable there.

DON'T DO IT !! waist of money i cam in took forever to gt someone to help me even after being done with other customers,, i talked to gord an artiest at this shop ,showed him what i would of wanted , put a deposit willingly no questions asked , it took a week n a half for a sketch after i send pictures the same day of what i wanted done ,when i got to the shop to see the sketch it was nothing like what i wanted ,had to open up my phone photo album and show him again and said i wanted it to look like this and he said he would change the sketch and ill be able to see it again the same day i come in to get the work done ,i agreed even though he seemed very uninterested in what i was getting done and uninterested in observing the picture of what i wanted , like i was forcing him to look at the picture ,i still gave a chance after being so turned off by the service i was receiving, i went ahead and booked a date in witch i was canceled on due to the artist being sick ,booked again ,unfortunately it was a snow day and neither my self or the artist was able to make it in , he wasn't able to book me in till later on about 3 months from the day i came in to the shop for the first time , we agreed that we would speak ahead of time to confirm that appointment ,no confirmation call was made and i was expected to put another deposit down ,i ended up saying forget going to moms tattoo shop , not due to the cancellations and the lack of interest in the work i wanted done ,but how rude everyone was ,and after knowing i was gonna write a review online,she felt to reschedule me without a deposit , the receptionist was very rude and was not helpful in understanding where i was coming from as a customer ,as it turns out she was the artists partner ,girlfriend and was offended to the fact that i was not happy with his first sketch,,,,,,i have been to many places and this was a horrible experience , waist of money and time ,,,,they couldn't pay me to get work done with them !!! :( i was surprised that any tatoo shop could treat u the way i was treated

Called in and got a walk-in done of the stick shift symbol (brought in the design) about a week ago. Had a bit of a wait due to a staffing altercation, but overall very happy with the service, price, and tattoo. Sam did my tattoo - she printed a stencil to make sure it looked right to me, then took about 30-40 mins to complete it. It's healing well, and looks really good. The tattoo shop itself is very clean and the staff is very accommodating.

This is my second tattoo within 2 months. First off the shop as soon as you step in smells clean, looks clean you get nicely greeted and they give you their honest opinion which I love. Kate, Gord and Adam are all down to earth which make your visit entertaining. I've had the privilege of being tattooed by Gord on both occasions. His choice of color, attention to detail and line work is amazing. Not to mention his cover up work had me at awe, as I got to cover up a "spur of the moment young and dumb tattoo" with a beautiful hummingbird that you can't even tell there was a prior tattoo. The shop is very thorough with sterilization, all new packaging of needles opened in front of you. I would highly recommend Mom's Tattoos to anyone. I definitely will be back. If they are booked for when you want your tattoo trust me it's worth waiting for Gord does fantastic work, truly proud to show off my tattoos

I went in for my tattoo and I had to wait an hour before he even started the tattoo. It’s a very depressing atmosphere and the man I was booked with to do my tattoo was extremely arrogant. The man was not apologetic about the wait, the customer service is horrendous at this tattoo shop. It also didn’t smell clean in the shop, it was musty.

Went to get a small piece last year to test out if I would get bigger pieces done. was early for my appointment time (which I booked earlier in the day) but the appointment before me ran late so I waited about 30-45 mins past my time. The piece itself was small line work, 15 minutes max. The colour part healed up (I have many tattoos and it healed as my work always does) but once healed showed the inconsistency of the work. Wasn't pleased. Shop was clean and professional, but wouldn't return... have since found a better shop to get work
