They are also very flexible with their time and prices! I found out you can continue to add to your deposit before your tattoo appointment which helps in paying for it! Unfortunately over the past few years, this establishment has gone quite down hill. I have spent tons of money here over the years, and recently it hasn’t been a great experience. There are a lot of new staff who seem to constantly stir up drama and interrupt other artists appointments. I feel terrible for the staff that have to deal with this type of negative energy while at work, and the clientele who pay a lot of money to not have a great experience. I sadly won’t be returning here and taking my business with staff who have left, and I hope that things here can change for those vets who are still there.

The artist who did my tattoo, Tim is obviously very talented and did an amazing job. I`m very happy with the end result and I will come back for more work in the future. We will never go anywhere else! My husband got a cover up tattoo by Steve Morin, and I have had 5 pieces done by Steve. The studio is clean and very modern, the staff are friendly and attentive and the artwork speaks for itself! Anyone considering a tattoo consider this-unlike a car or a house, a tattoo is with you forever. So why spend less time choosing a tattoo and artist than you would deciding on a car or place to live?? You can always get rid of the car or the house! If you get a tattoo at Modern Addiction, you will LOVE having it on your body forever :)

I don’t usually write reviews but this time I would be doing an injustice to this shop and Jon to not express my incredible experience. Firstly, Jen is so friendly and helpful. The booking process was easy and I live out of town so I loved I could etransfer my deposit and not have to drive there to do it. I found the prices reasonable and fairly average. The shop was clean and clearly following COVID-19 protocols and Mariah at the reception desk was inviting, sweet and professional. Now, onto the mind blowing tattoo experience. I have had 9 tattoos previous and I have always felt anxious and uncomfortable. Not because of the tattoo itself but more the anxiety of sitting in an unfamiliar place with essentially a stranger for a long period of time. This was my longest tattoo at 4 hours, no breaks. Jon made me feel at ease and in charge of the decision process and I felt very respected which at other shops I have felt pressured to go with what they think will look good. He put me at ease and was super friendly but also very professional and clearly knowledgeable and experienced. The time flew by and then I was done. Great conversation was a fantastic distraction. But this tattoo tho!!! I lost my dog of 15 years in October and have had a piece of me missing since then. My heart is now whole with this incredible life like photo of my beautiful boy that I miss so much. Thank you Modern Addictions for an incredible experience and Jon for making my heart whole again. Definitely recommend this place and Jon 100000%!

Very professional from beginning to end. Jen was amazing to work with during my consultation, she gave me some advice on my design and made it even better. All the staff are very polite and say hi when passing by. Spencer work is also phenomenal, attention to detail is spot on and make you feel very comfortable while getting the work done. I've personally had the pleasure to be tattooed by Erin and Jay and have nothing but great things to say about the both of them and the work they produce! I've moved away from the area recently, but still plan on making several trips back to this spot - it's well worth the drive!! Both Erin and Jay made me feel super comfortable during our time together, and they're two of the coolest people you could hope to spend an afternoon with - plus the tattoos that come out of the process are beautiful. I walked in on Friday the 13th, not realising that they had a deal on tattoos based on Friday the 13th. Sweet. The shop is amazing. It's spacious, decorated beautifully and most of all, inviting. I was tattooed by Paul Wolf who has a shop in Toronto. He is amazing. His attention to what I wanted was awesome. Even though it was a quite painful tattoo (knuckles) I was able to get through it because we were talking and getting on. I definitely plan on coming back next time I want to get a tattoo.

My husband and I drove 3+hrs to have more work done by Tim. He had recently moved to Guelph and we had no issue making a road trip out to see him. That being said - all my correspondence with the shop was done via email thru Jenn, the shop owner. I found everything to be very prompt and she answered all my questions. She was kind enough to book us both in together, early on the same day to allow for travel. Tim, as always, is a great artist. Always professional with a great eye for detail. We’ve never been disappointed with anything he’s drawn up for us and get comments all the time on our tattoos. The shop is clean, welcoming and bright. We’ll definitely be back for another visit!

Matt tattooed my best friend and I which we were very happy with his work and him! he was very focused and made sure we were comfortable with what we wanted! However, the front desk (whom I believe is the owner?) was pretty rude from the moment my best friend and I came in. we showed up 30 mins. early to make sure if they took debit or not, she instantly said "you're half an hour early and no we don't take debit. cash or credit only". Meanwhile, they have an interac sign and a visa sign out on their front window. After our tattoos were done, she gave us the final price. we were surprised and disappointed because it wasn't what we were quoted for but understandably Matt did a beautiful and amazing job on our tattoo that it went over the hour. When we told the owner we had to go cash out more money, she rolled her eyes at us and sighed. We are not happy with the experience we received from the owner but happy with Matt. unfortunately we won't be going back to Modern Addictions anymore due to the owners unprofessional experience. Thank you so much Matt for the beautiful tattoo and amazing experience! This 4 star is for you. NOT for the owner! :)

First let me start by saying Jen is absolutely amazing !! She's hilarious and so kind. I had such a fun time talking to her. She made me laugh so hard and made me feel so comfortable. My mom and I had been looking to get tattoos for a while and we could not be happier with the service and expertise we received at modern addiction. Dan the tattoo artist was so gentle and made the entire thing enjoyable. They made this entire experience everything we could have asked for and more. I've never been able to find just one place that I would go to for all my tattoos but now I know I have found the place. The shop is clean and their work is clean. Amazing amazing amazing !!

Flash Day was a great success for me! Rob Vino was able to do not one, but two pieces and I couldn’t be happier; the two just fit so well together. Not too heavy and not too light of a touch that I almost fell asleep during the one! I felt very comfortable and not awkward at all (I usually am, so it really is a big deal). The staff at Modern Addiction Tattoos are ALL AWESOME!!! From the moment you walk in the door it is a welcoming, friendly and extremely clean atmosphere! Never having gotten tattooed before I wasn't sure what to expect and did have a small case of nerves going into my appointment. There's no denying Allie's work is phenominal. She did a piece on my leg with amazing color and detail. This girl is talented beyond belief. However, she doesn't reply to emails, doesn't follow up prior to appts to ensure clients like the piece she created, no contact until the day of your appt. Leave work early, get a sitter, drive an hour to your mystery appt and be sure to say yes ma'am or she will give you your deposit back and claim you are not meshing, even if the examples you gave her are her own work but she comes up with none of those elements! Oh...and don't expect touch ups or even a peak at your previous piece, reject the current idea and her sensitive ego has no room for follow up on that! RESPONSE TO SHOP OWNER'S RESPONSE; I have 3 children, don't ever accuse me of bullying, that is obsurd and insulting. This is a review site, not a place to dispute a clients perception. Please feel free to post the emails that I've sent to Allie and you would clearly be mistaken in much of what you said. I was never given the option to review a few days prior because I would have done so. As I clearly said in my last email, and any before that, please let me know you received this and allow me to see what we are planning because I dont want to waste your precious time. No response ever. I said it healed perfectly and didnt scab because I'm just your average person who got inked, not an artist. Isn't it standard practice to check? Am I to know if there are any spots that may need touching up? Simply put, I didnt see any semblance in her suggested piece that would indicate my email was even read. If we didnt 'mesh' I wouldnt have a massive piece of her work on my leg! I'd like to think it's okay for me to not agree to a permanent piece on my arm if I don't feel it was anything like the examples I gave! Clearly she chose to take offense to that and be done with working with me, no revisions, secondary ideas, nothing. Just sign here saying we are permanently cancelling?? I appreciate the return of my deposit, thank you but that does not negate the fact that this was dealt with in a less than professional or mature manner! I was respectful yet picky and shunned for that? Furthermore, any question I've asked in this post was completely rhetorical and a response is not necessary. You all take care and be well :)

I have been to the shop on a walk in basis a couple times. The staff are amazing and (forgive me) but I forget her name I believe she may be the owner or founder is unreal! I had some work done and my debit card for some reason wouldn't work and I knew I had $ in there. She saw the look on my face completely terrified , she's like bro, relax. We will figure it out and we dealt with it. Such a good vibe at the shop and they actually listen to what your tat ideas are and don't try to convince you to go another way with it. Spencer did my work and he was the chilliest artist I've worked with and was very accommodating. Their response time on social media (including contacting the artists directly) is flawless, they always answer you. Artists are always working on something and they still take the time to reach back to you. Anyone looking to get their first or 100th Tat I would recommend this shop a million times over! Cheers

Not only are the artists talented (Jon) and amazing, but the staff are too! I am so over the moon how my tattoo turned out, as it was better than I had hoped! Highly recommend this shop!!!
