I was on holidays near Peterborough and I thought I'd get a tattoo at a local shop. All the great reviews I read about Mike's Tattoo were well-deserved. The staff was professional and friendly. The price was right and Chandler knocked it out of the park. I got a sailer jerry sparrow on the inside of my arm and it's awesome. Next time I'm in town I'll stop in again for sure.

Horrible experience. I got my third holes pierced by Tony, he was rude, treated me like I didn't know anything about my whole body and how it reacts with needles and the different metals. Within 2 days my left ear got infected (I did everything he said and kept it clean), a year later I took out the piercing from the other ear because it was starting to bug me, I took good care of it, cleaned my ear and earring and it got mildly infected and my hole came through my ear. Horrible service, and paid $40 to have both my ears infected.

Always a great experience at Mikes! Had my first tattoo here a few years ago and recently returned to their new location for a cartilage piercing. Will be back again in December for tattoo number two! Great place, great staff, nice clean space, we were in and out for our piercings in maybe 20 minutes total for two people (one piercing each) including filling out our forms. A favourite.

I recently went to get my industrial piercing, paid $45. Honestly felted like I was being rushed. Didn't get much of an explaination, he didn't clean my ear beforehand, and most likely used the same gauge needle and bar for the peircing. I followed his instructions of bactine twice a day, kept my hair out of the way, slept on the opposite side, and still got a bad infection. Wasted $45 to have two holes in my cartridge and lots of pain for nothing. Will definitely not be going back for anything. Not sure how they have so many good reviews as it was a terrible experience. I would not recommend ever going there.

It is very much a pay for what you get place. You might pay a touch more then some other places but the quality of their craft and the amazing art they give you makes every cent worth it. I've had piercings done at other places but they always were done crooked.... Tony repierced my labret and has done many others for me (all over my ears, my tongue and both of my nostrils) over the years. In my opinion, he is always professional in telling me cleaning instructions, how long it should be before I try to change the jewellery etc. I've never had a bad experience with Tony and he always puts me at ease :) As for the tattoo artists, they've always been kind and I've never had an issue (although my tattoo was done by an artist, who left to start her own business, before she left) and their work always looks fantastic! Top notch and worth the price! I highly recommend!

I had my cartilage pierced. Tony did an amazing job! I've had my cartilage pierced before at a different place and it hurt so much. It's been a week now since I've gotten my piercing at Mike's Tattoo and it does not hurt anymore. It also did not hurt the day I got it pierced! Service was perfect, the staff were so friendly. I am definitely recommending this place to anyone who wants a piercing :)

Can't say much for their tattooing but their business skills are definitely a one star. Put down a $60 deposit, went in for my tattoo, and it wasn't booked. Of course I didn't keep the receipt so I lost the money. If you're ok taking the gamble with your money give them a try, if you want top notch service AND great art, I now go to Fantality the next street over. Amazing work there and they won't steal your money from you.

I've gotten many piercings before but when I went to Tony to see if I could fix one of my old piercings done from somewhere else (that was placed incorrectly) he helped me redesign my ear piercings. Very mixed reviews about Mike's, whenever anyone is looking to get a piercing i highly recommend Mike's, Tony is an amazing piercer and provides sanitary and friendly service! If you are looking to get a tattoo at Mike's i recommend you go in ahead of time and talk to the various artists there, if you just go for a walk-in they often give your work to an apprentice so you are not guaranteed the best tattoo they can provide.

I got both my helix piercing and my industrial here, within 3 weeks of each other. Tony rushes you to go through with it, I have serious needle fears and felt very nervous, but he essentially said "you're getting it done in the next 30 seconds or you're coming back later". The piercing itself did not really hurt, and I was very happy with it. However this is the horrible part; his aftercare instructions were to use bactine. I did not know any better so I followed that diligently, and after just over a month I got my first infection. Over the next 4 months I had 4 infections in my ear. I was on antibiotics constantly and my doctor wanted me to take it out but I did not want to go through all of this for nothing. I developed a small keloid. It was painful and could have been so easily avoided. I did some research and found that bactine is not supposed to be used on piercings! I ordered the highly rated H2Ocean and started using that. Almost immediately my ear was back to skin coloured (it had been red for months) and any traces of infection were gone. It has been about 10 months since I got them done and I am finally feeling much better. They are almost completely healed. I could have been so much closer to healed and probably not have a keloid, if it weren't for his aftercare instructions.

The people here are very friendly and very willing to help. They don't over charge you here, the prices are very fair. They are not overly cheap, but hey, do you really want a cheap tattoo? Getting piercings there is always a pleasant experience, and they cost a fair amount. I went there to have my nose ring put in again because the hole had healed of over, and even though he had to re-pierce it, he only charged me for the new stud. The customer service there is by far the best I've ever received in a tattoo parlor!

I went here to get my vertical labret done and the guy that pierced me barley talked to me, I think he said a total of 10 words the entire time I was there. Once he marked the spot and grabbed the needle right away and started to pierce it without even letting me see the placement to make sure I liked it, as he did that and started to pierce even before seeing it I knew it most likely was done incorrectly and well, it was. It was pierced so high up from the bottom of my lip, it literally went though the top like normal but came out in the centre of my lip. I had it for a month before I had to take it out.

I do not even want to give this bussiness a 1 star rating. Tony is very rude to his customers. Went in to get a nose ring changed. He wouldn't change it because he didnt do the percing. As said on the phone they could. Wasted my time driving down to Peterborough for him to be rude. Said our piercings we all wrong as we didnt go to him. Wouldn't even look at us. He was snobby and basically told us to leave. Would'nt even give us advice. I do not suggest Mike's tattoo for piercings. Terrible
