Just as clean and welcoming as the previous location, the new studio also boasts "the people of Cambridge TV" (a fantastic picture window, viewing the streetside happenings), and a nice burst of natural daylight. As with any successful business, Lucid is growing. Lindsay has begun to take on apprentices, so you can expect to be thoroughly doted-upon as she passes along her knowledge and skillful expertise and enthusiasm. Lindsay has done two tattoos for me. I picked Lindsay for both because they both required very clean line work and I'm extremely picky. She did a fantastic job Both times Lindsay and I had a great conversation, which of course makes the experience much more enjoyable. The small details of a high quality medical wrap and CBD lotion (she has non-cbd as well) didn't go unnoticed either. She keeps the place immaculate and the new studio is awesome as well. I never want to get a tattoo from anyone else! *Couple notes about my photos* - The one on my wrist is from like 3 years ago... looks as fresh as the day I got it (no touch ups) - The scuba man was from January 2020... Looks slightly blurry because my arm is ashy af and I need lotion...the tattoo itself is perfect!

Lindsay did a phenomenal job creating a floral forearm piece with water colour. Lindsay is a true artist and as result your tattoo will be a beautiful piece of art. You will need to wait for your consult and then appointment as she is very popular (no drop ins here) but well worth the wait for the tattoo of your dreams. This is the first tattoo I have received with no regrets, perfect design, artistically rendered. The studio is welcoming and comfortable even for the nervous types like myself.

I had an amazing experience being tattooed by Lindsay. From start to finish I knew I was in talented, capable hands. I consulted with her for a cover up. Years ago, I'd had a poor overall experience with another local tattoo artist who tattooed some small lettering on my forearm. Years later this tattoo was pretty much illegible and blurred together so I decided to get a cover up half sleeve. I was a bit nervous, but as soon as I met Lindsay, my mind was put at total ease. I knew I was dealing with a complete professional. During her consultation process, she really took the time to ask questions about what I wanted and learn the story behind my idea. After our consultation, I was very comfortable letting her create a design using her talents, and I'm so glad I did. I had 3 lengthy sessions with Lindsay because I got a half sleeve black floral design with a ton of detail. So I spent a lot of time with her in her bright, clean, and comfortable studio. It was an amazing and unique one on one experience from any other tattoo studio I've ever been too. She really took the time to learn about me and the reasons why I was getting this tattoo design and that made all the difference. It turned out so much better than I could have ever dreamed of. Rather than try to make money off me and just put something on that I didn’t actually want, but thought was necessary to cover, she provided her expertise and insight. She recommended I do laser. I instead used my slot to have my children’s initials somewhere else, which I couldn’t love more. Fast forward and Lindsay’s books opened up again. Awesome shop! Lindsay is incredibly talented, especially at extremely fine detail work. I had her tattoo just below my KNEE, which I thought would be super painful, but she is so talented with the tattoo gun that it wasn’t too bad. Her prices are extremely fair, given her extreme talent, you will not be disappointed. I’d love to get more work done by her, if I can get in, she’s so busy!!

BEWARE OF THIS TATTOO SHOP - They will take your deposit and not fulfil their responsibilities! In January 2021, my partner and I had a pre-paid virtual consultation with Lindsay Joseph for a tattoo each. We discussed our ideas and the things we wanted included. We booked dates for our tattoos and were asked to each pay a $750 deposit to hold the date. Within 2 weeks of the consultation, as requested, we both sent in more details with sample art to assist LJ in the tattoo design. We expected to see something well in advance of the studio day to refine/approve. Instead, many months went by and we heard nothing, even after follow up. Only within a couple days of the tattoo date did we get a very rough cut of each tattoo, both of which did not include the details we requested in our submission. We were both told that what we asked for was not possible and our deposits are not refundable. She also commented if we didn't show she would "laugh all the way to the bank". She told us specifically that her process is not to start any work on the art until after the 5 day cancellation window before your studio date is over, thus ensuring that if you don't go with her design then you lose your money. A tattoo is a permanent piece of art for the body that should allow for open dialogue and consultation well in advance of the tattoo being done. Lindsay is arrogant, inflexible, and will happily steal your money if you don't do things her way.

(I'm using my partner's google account to write this). For a long time I was interested in getting a watercolour tattoo, however, it proved to be very hard to find someone who could perfect the art, every single time. I stumbled across Lindsay when she was at a different shop. I followed her and got in with her when she opened her own place. Wow. Everything from her personality, her professionalism, her shop, and especially to her art, is all amazing and was one of my favourite experiences getting a tattoo. I need to point out a couple of things: I gave her a simple idea and she turned it into a beautiful masterpiece. As I told Lindsay, it's one of those tattoos you see on Instagram or other social media and just say "wow" to because it's so beautiful. Also, while getting tattooed, I was not the most easy client. She made me feel so comfortable and tolerated my verbal complaints (in all fairness, the tattoo was in a sensitive place) and never said anything negative about my reactions. 5 stars is not enough to show appreciation for her and her shop, I could probably write positive pages of my experience. I'm anxiously waiting in anticipation for her books to open again. -Amber

Feel as though her decision to put an ex-apprentice on blast on her social media is highly unprofessional. I would not pay for services from someone who handles employee issues In this manner.. Any issues between staff should remain private to the business. Any acts to discredit your apprentice (as there is two sides to every story) and to bulk up your reviews is unprofessional. This is coming from someone who knows nothing other than what you’ve chosen to post on your social media. Just a response to your response. I saw this thread because I hardly know someone who is friends with your apprentice - I didn’t write this for a friend. I have no clue who this staff member is or was but your approach to this issue I find highly unprofessional. Your comment divulging everything theyve done to you was not necessary and an act to discredit this person in case anyone figures out who they are. I am entitled to my opinion that this was unprofessional and I’d be happy to share the exact comment you made. Please be more mindful of how you portray your business. Even your responses to low ratings is very defensive and discrediting. There are professional ways to approach these matters. As unprofessional as you find it to have their friends give you one stars “bitterly” (as you perceive it) - putting every detail of what transpired out there for your clients is equally unprofessional.

This tattoo shop is awful! I paid for a consultation and then a deposit and waited many months to get in. When i finally did the artwork was still being thrown together at the last minute. I was reluctant to proceed but I was pressured to get the tattoo or lose my deposit. The work is decent but it was not designed properly and I didn't get enough input into it along the way. Process and service here are terrible.

Not only did I end up with an incredible piece of art that I'm so proud to wear on my arm, but I walked out of her shop feeling a little more whole again. Lindz designed a delivered a tribute tattoo to honour my best friend of 28 years that had recently passed from cancer (at 37 years young) - leaving a giant void in my life and a hole in my heart. Lindz genuinely wanted to know about me, and my friend in order to get the tattoo just right. I enjoyed my time with her so much that having the actual work done didn't bother me at all (okay, maybe that had something to do with Lindsay's super light hand and consideration for how I was doing the entire time) When she was done I was overcome with emotions and brought to tears - which were met with a big warm loving hug <3 I cannot say enough about this beautiful human, her incredible unmatched work or her super clean professional business.
