Late posting this. But wanted to share my experience. When I was wanting a large tattoo on my thigh Tristan came highly recommended to me. I was nervous because this piece was not only big but also meaningful and I needed to be sure it would be done right. (I did a lot of research on tattoo artists in the area and even got 3 other tattoos done at different places. Those tattoos were small so I wasn’t as picky. But I knew I needed to find someone better to get this big piece done). So I messaged Tristan, he responded very quickly and set up a consultation with me that worked with my schedule. When I got there and started throwing my ideas around (with some images to help me explain) Tristan understood right away and quickly sketched an outline of the image I was going for even better then I could have imagined and this was only a few pencil marks on paper. I was impressed. The wait list to get into the studio was a long time (almost a year) but that didn’t bother me one bit. In fact it worked out for me because the longer I had to think about my tattoo the clearer my mind became with what I really wanted. About a month or 2 before my appointment I messaged Tristan because the image I had in mind had changed I wanted to remove a significant part of what we planned together as I was scared it might become to cluttered. Because of the time I had to think about it after booking the appointment the more sure I was that this was exactly what I wanted. Tristan was so great with me, and the changes I wanted he was more then happy to do (this only made me more confident that Tristan was the right guy for this job) The tattoo turned out beautiful and healed so quickly! All in all 10/10- clean atmosphere, great customer service, amazing artist. I recommend to everyone looking for their first tattoo or even their 10th. Iron horse tattoo is the place to go!

My sister and I went to Tristan to get identical sister tattoos.. Imagine our surprise when we took off the dressing the next day to discover these very different tattoos. How can anyone do an infinity sign that's not connected? He offered to fix it but I'd never trust this guy near my skin again.

Tristan is an amazing artist and I'm so happy he does what he does! My sleeve is in progress but each piece is incredible on it's own and together it will be stunning. He's now completed 5 pieces for me including a cover-up of an old tattoo that I never really liked. I honestly believe the undercharges for the quality he delivers!! I've had more expensive tattoos done elsewhere that don't look half as good as Tristan's work. Also, the atmosphere of his space, is truly unique and welcoming. It's less like a tattoo studio and more like a living room, which makes the experience pleasant and comfortable. I highly recommend Tristan!!!

I've known Tristan since he was an apprentice tattoo artist. I've only ever had one tattoo and he is the only guy I'll ever have do another one. Watching him grow as an artist has been fantastic and even when he started out you could see his talent and passion for his craft come through. He is kind, professional and very welcoming to all. His space is fantastic and relaxing like no other tattoo parlour I've ever seen. Let's call it a tattoo studio it feels more like a calming spa than anything. If you want quality you'll have to pay for it and to be honest I never found his rates anything less than fair.

Tattoo is ugly and looks totally different from what we had discussed. No where near the quality of anything he has posted on his socials. I feel like I got conned and ripped off. He did offer to "talk" about it after the fact but what good will that do? It will always be different from what I wanted there's no second chances with tattoos, they are permanent and should be done right the first time. I won't be going back.

I had my collarbone tattoo done by Kim. Kim was incredibly knowledgeable and demonstrated a lot of experience both in consultation and during the appointment. This is one of my most solid tattoos I've gotten in terms of the overall application. I would absolutely reccomend her to anyone in the future!

My consultation with her was seamless and she explained what to expect. Her translation of what I wanted was beautifully executed. The studio was very clean and beautifully decorated. Tristan not only did an amazing job with my chest piece but also makes the experience of getting tattooed as enjoyable as possible. If good music isn't being played we would watch a classic movie or a good show. Cant recommend Iron Horse enough. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely incredible place! I won't be able to go anywhere else now. Clean, professional, rustic homey but badass feel! And the reason we all go- the art, it's breathtaking. When getting a tattoo it is so important that the relationship between you and the artist is just as fantastic as the artwork that is about to be put on your body. They need to understand you, figure out what works best, and present ideas that may be different from ones you had. Tristan makes sure that any time he tattoos he does it with meaning and passion. His work is outstanding and you can tell his love for what he does through it. I love all my artwork and it really shows off who I am but it also shows off the type of artist he is.
